Hack of Pokémon Fire Red.

Storyline:You have just turned sixteen, and are eligible for a job. You decide to become an apprentice of one Prof. Hazel, who is known as a legendary pokemon researcher. (she researches legendaries.) However, the pokemon university which gave her her degree says that if she ever takes on students, she has to make sure they can handle the work. ANd how do they prove that? Why gym badges of course! You will travel in a new region from place to place looking for clues to legendary locations. A bit of Johto and new unexplored pieces of Kanto will be available as well. However, it seems that something more sinister might be at work...

Features:New region
all pokemon catchable
kanto will of course be accessable, and it will be part of the main storyline, not an afterthought
space (I have a way to implement it, but there is another cooler way that I'm researching right now)
time travel
after you beat the elite four for the first time, the battle islands will be unlocked, they are in the middle of the new region. the trainers there will be harder than gym leaders, and you have to beat them in order to continue the story. You can still fight them after though.
Island dojos. Not really gyms, as there is only one person with a VERY high level pokemon of one type. You beat them, and you get that poke or its pre-evolution, which is not available anywhere else in the game. I'm thinking gligar for poison, skarmory for steel, sunkern for grass, etc., etc.
and much much more as i remember it.

I shouldn't need any help with mapping, I might ask for occasional tips with scripting. I will definitely need help with new music though. Will post screenies when I have enough posts...

Possible turn-offs:
new region
no sinnoh pokes
no fan pokes
probably mostly tool-made
won't make new tilesets till the very very end, if ever.
EDIT: oh yes and it will deal with pretty dark issues like insanity, senility, death, and torture, and have limited profanity(only by the bad guys! red doesn't talk anyway). I can make a kid-friendlier version, and I will if enough people tell me to.

Right now, I'm almost finished mapping the first town. I started today.

I wish you luck. This seems like a good idea, but most of the features won't get implemented. Time travel will require a LOT of clearflag's.
Also, 1 new region plus johto + kanto = impossible.
Unless johto and kanto are just small visits, like 3 or four maps.
