The SHC is now proud to present... The June Monthly Quest!! To complete this Quest, one must obtain one Grass-type shiny and one Fire-type shiny. It's nice and green out with all the Grass-types running about, but it's getting hotter! Watch out for those Fire shinies, and be ready when they come! The shinies must be obtained by yourself in an Advanced generation game (or newer), and no chaining or hacking is allowed. Good luck! The contest lasts until midnight EDT on July 1st, 2012. Spoiler:

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted in a while because I haven't gotten any new shinies this month =/ Kind of ironic that May 2011 was my luckiest month yet, but I didn't get anything in May 2012... grr. Just wanted to congratulate everyone on their shinies, especially Keruso (I envy your Nidoran!) and Chr. Draco (for completing the monthly quest). Also, today I finally got around to EV training and evolving my 2nd shiny Eevee.  It may have taken 2 or 3 months between my two Eevees to get this guy, but when he started bouncing around some Will-o-Wisps it was totally worth it! Anyway, good luck to all of you on your hunts! Hopefully June will be a lucky month for us all.

 sweet!!! Part of the June quest is done. this little girl appeared just moments ago and completely surprised me. These shinies just love jumping out at me sometimes. i was also hoping for Mareep to shine, but i'll take a Bellsprout. now i've gotta find me my fire type.   now, in Emerald, i decided, for now, to give up my hunt for Smeargle and move to the route right below Mauville. i may hunt for Smeargle somewhere else. now i must find a new place to hunt in SoulSilver

 Woo hoo =D I've had almost 2 months without a shiny! I was talking to my mom on the phone, SRing on Sapphire (the short resets have been a nice break from Snivy/Piplup) and gathering eggs on White when this Regirock appeared! I've been hunting for this shiny since December, after Kyogre shone on the same Sapphire file. He was a jerk to catch, after being paralyzed and weakened it took 10 ultra balls and 30 timer balls before he called it quits. He's modest, which is the worst nature he could've gotten (if he could trade with my naughty Kyogre, that would be great!) but I don't use legendaries anyway so IDC. I'll be moving on to hunt Regice now, hopefully that hunt won't take 6 months too -.- More pictures: Spoiler:

 Wow... I am so happy right now! Regirock took 6 months to shine so I wasn't expecting Regice to play nice, but it shone today while I was watching the French Open tennis after only 2 days of hunting =D It was also much nicer to catch than Regirock, after being weakened it only took 7 or so ultra balls to catch. The first picture is really terrible because my camera was dying so I had to rush it. Too bad, I wanted a picture of the shiny Regi face-off =,( Anyway, I'll be hunting Registeel next. Whenever it shines I'll probably send the trio off to Pearl to hunt Regigigas =) More pictures: Spoiler:
Finally I'd like to say congrats to Chr. Draco on that Tepig; it must be really cool to have a complete set of starters =) Good luck to everyone else on their hunts!
