Paintball vs Airsoft

Whats ur opinion and which do u prefer to do if u do airsoft or paintball. myself i like airsoft due to the fact the guns are more realistic and its much cheaper and easier to find areas to go.

how have u never heard of airsoft..........maybe u should get out more since more people actually airsoft then paintball now and paintballer are switching to airsoft but rather than that...........go to airsplat.com and c what an airsoft gun looks like.

Meh, I prefer the idea of paintball because...y'know, you're shooting each other with PAINT. You can't improve on already perfect awesomeness.

Actually there not bb guns cause last i checked a riderider bb gun did not look like a mp5 or m14 or even close to a m4. so no not bb guns. and actually there are bbs for airsoft guns that are paint bbs.

I prefer Airsoft because you can do it anywhere (almost) and it doesn't hurt or cost nearly as much as paintball. I've gone entire days playing softair with some of my guy friends and we all have a blast. XD Better than paying huge amounts of money to get paint all over your shoes and possibly through the overcoat, onto your clothes amirite?

And I would say paintball. If there's no pain, there's no gain. I don't have a gun yet, but I am definantly planning to get one. Plus I like being able to actually tell if you hit someone.

But I do like airsoft too, since you can actually do it anywhere. I might get one of those too. >.>

Having played both, my vote goes to airsoft.

Less messy, less expensive (lol $1000 Angels), and much more realistic.

Maniac? And yes, people can have different opinions, but it is generally a person looking for conflict who insults another's hobby (with no explantive basis I might add).

They are both fun. Both have their pro's and cons. I had an AEG 6 years ago, when the sport was still in it's infancy in this region:X Paintball is fun for a redneck free for all, airsoft is great for milsim. Ahhh. I love them both:D

I probebly wont stick around for the rest of this thread, but i like both alot, but paintball has taken up more of my interest than airsoft =/
I have both airsoft and paintball guns, and i find that the games played in woodsball are much more epic rather than airsoft games.

Airsoft much more. Honestly, its easier to grab a pick up game with very little callateral damage to worry about. Although its a bit more dangerous, especialy with gas-powered weapons.

Me, I have a Metal Gear Thompson Sub Machinegun with a drum clip and a CO2 M4 plastic replica sidearm.

Actually paintballs hurt a lot more than airsoft guns. I used to work at a sporting goods store that sold airsoft guns, and we played around wit hthem when business was slow. XD

It's been forever since I've been paintballing, but I distinctly remember how much it stung to be shot. >_<

I agree too a point. Honestly, Ive been shot by both......a lot. Paintballs feel more like a lasting mini punch and Airsoft feels more like a short bug bite. Depends on your tollerance.

But, Id much rather take 20 shots from a m16 airsoft rather than 5 from a Tippman x22

And it does sting... but the only pain from paintball I vaguely remember is shooting myself in the arm... from point blank. >_< And it was because I was trying to reload a weapon that wasn't cooperating in the field.

For some reason paintball hurts more than airsoft, since i tend to wear alot more clothings. Airsoft is alot more fun in the woods :) and paintballing is equally as fun but its a little expensive with all the paintballs :(

You're just posting hypocritically. You realize that some people have different opinions on Paintballing and Airsoft. The were invented to stop kids from shooting at each other with real guns and taking away human lives so I find them perfectly fine and a very smart idea.

I prefer paintballing. Despite the fact that I've never been to a session, I just admire the concept. It also serves as a way to have a lot of fun with friends, as I've been told anyway.

I've got G3 and M16 airsoft at home, so basically I like airsoft because It's realistic, and more combat action than PBs.

But it's really painful when you got shot by plastic pellets...
