Ruby hack: [HotM Apr. 2011] Pokemon: Super Rising Thunder!

really love this hack but ive noticed some minor issues like missing "1"s so you can not walk in the mist of trees on the 3 map (counting your home, were momo dies, and the next map has a few missing squares

also is this beta only to where the elder finished talking because my hero only says ... ... ... ... after that part

and the sprites are messed up on where you input your name (girl version) and after when walking around


(it may just be me i am a little new to ups patching and that sort of stuff)

but other than that it is amazing

Read through the posts on the last 2 pages, it gives you a few hints...

And be sure to click on everything, bushes, trees, ground. there's items and certain other things that you need.
stuff that just looks like the terrain can actually be items that you need.

and were not supposed to give answers according to the Almighty creator of this game

I found a glitch with it which stops us progressing That is I have gotten to the part with the hole where you have to try and fill it in. I then was searching around places got in a fight somewhere I can't remember but I had just gotten the water and carried on searching then I had low HP and I was fighting against a machop and it killed me and then I respawned in some weird area which was split between the place where the spearow are attacking and the golden looking place. I found my way out after running through trees back to the place where the spearow are attacking go back to where the spearow flies up to go to the boss of them all and when I go to enter the dungeon on the map it says I have already conquered it but I hadn't have conquered it so I dunno where that came from. Then when I try to progress with the story that spearow is still not letting me past on the far right of the place the spearow are attacking and it is really nerve racking to get there Any help as to why it has happened?

Okay this hack is one of the best so far. I really like the storyline, and the creativity you put into making this all it can be.

I have one problem though. As far as the hole in the forest that you need to fill, its too secretive about how to get past it, I would make it a bit more obvious, but thats just my opinion.

I like the originality you put into the caracters also. I noticed you used a Spikey-Eared Pichu for Momo's overworld sprite. Also noticed that you put a little zig zag on Lady Freya's chest, which added a nice filler in to the blank space on the chest. And I do like the ribbon on Pirca's ear. All of the above changes helped see what kind of person you are, very original.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing the next release soon!

Aww, don't worry shomoher. I'm sure the only reasons for her absence would be because she had other things to do. Like all of us ROM hackers do from time to time. And I do have to admit... I do end up missing people that have been offline for such a long time.

As for the hack, it'll progress as usual. I don't think we'd expect the person to disappear and suddenly come back several months later with it complete. It's almost like saying that Carlos (aka Zel) would return with it complete, which it would never happen.

And wow, SRT surely has progressed since I last checked. It'll be interesting to see what's going to be around the corner. ;)

Well Carlos did mention that his life as a hacker probably ended due to his personal life but Parca did not so we can hope
Still I agree that the idea of complete hack after Parca returns is pretty impossible =)

umm, I"m not sure if this has been asked, but how can I start the game? The patch that I got is in .UPS, and I don't know what to do with it. I'm really eager to play this hack, it looks very good!

EDIT: I found a post a few pages back helped me, so I have nothing that can stop me from playing this now!

My UPS Patcher is not patching the game onto any of my ROMS. I've tried them all! I've even tried putting it onto other hacks, but it just keeps saying Fail and so on...

What one? Can you post a link to where I can download it, or is that illegal aswell?

The only glitches I've found are battling Citizen Sentret (where I gained 3 levels, 7>10) and when Pichu turns right the blue ribbon is on his right ear, not his left. Also in the final "dungeon" (surprised you didn't name them "groves" or some such).. one or two of the large red leaved trees can be walked over.
Other than that <3 it! Can't wait for moar

Everything regarding the distribution of ROM is taboo.
You just need to try more ROMs and one will be the right one.
