I'm a little late to join the fad of saying it, but the graphics of this game are just superb. Great job.

This game looks great. It's unbelievable that it's made with RPG Maker XP. Keep up the good work.

No download available, and it's against the rules to ask for one anyway.

I really love the graphics of this. If I can get the graphics of LunarVoid [my game] anywhere close to Garnet's level, it'll be more than satisfying haha.

Keep up the awesome work.

I thought about the self-changing colors depending on the location, but i think that customization made by player is way better and fun. I've ever thought that a game that allows you to change things more freely is a better game than a linear one.

Well, just to advise all of you...

Big updates coming for September!

New screens, a trailer and something even more enjoyable. <3

The first of October, Garnet will celebrate one year of development. I'm really happy that everything is going on that well, and i'm very happy of all the thing that Garnet has brought to me: friends, experience, feelings. Game-development is truly a great thing...

I know that during our "travel" we created too disagreements, even jealousy.

I would like to tell one thing to everyone: I do not feel that Garnet or us are making a competion. We're not genius, we're not virtuous... we're doing something that make us feel happy and enjoy our free time...

Sometimes, i feel like people is forgetting about the true meaning of Development: enjoying ourselves!

So, this is what i wish to everyone: to enjoy yourself as we're doing. Because it is magnificent, way better than making a good game.

Thanks to everyone,

Mercury and his friends

Ok, this is my first time posting on this thread, but I looked through all the updates, and then mercurysky comes along himself and posts this fabulous news! I can't wait for September now. I'm really eager to see some more screens and maybe hear something about the story... *hint hint*

First time I looked at your screens, I simply became envious. They're terrific pieces of artwork. I'll be expecting the big updates.

ConCept's right. If those maps were food, they'd belong in a 5-star restaurant! They look better than any map I've seen in a Pokemon game.

I must say that those tiles look superb.
The only thing I don't like is the nighttime palette.

Hi, I'm a long-time lurker but a rare poster. First, I have to say that this game is beautiful, stunning, and quite simply amazing. However, I feel like I have to post about the mouse-vs-keyboard issue (sorry, I know that was a couple of months ago). If a game is difficult to use, the overall experience will be less enjoyable. If a player does not have a mouse (may be on a laptop), then navigating by mouse would be more difficult. While I like the customizable keyboard option that RXMP has decided to leave out, I think that having full keyboard compatibility without significantly changing hand position would really impact how players interface with your game.

That being said, keep up the amazing work. For every post you get praising the effort you have put forth so far, I am sure that there are several others just watching and rooting you guys on from the sidelines.

Maybe they can make an option to make you choose what of the two you would like to use that could be maybe useful for some people

The first of the many updates i promised you.
Today i bring you the missing gym leaders from the chart. Under spoiler, obviously.
Spoiler:

(concept by me and Kuroda, made by Kuroda-Taiki and partly by me)
Gym leader #3 - Kiri
From the "gym" of Everfall.
Etymology: "Kiri" means "the flower that never withers" in hindi.
Bio: Kiri is both a gym leader and a sage. He often speaks of the "Life Cycle". He's great knowledge of nature made him become one of the most important personalities in Irusia's region. Kiri is specialized in Grass-type pokémon.

(concept by me and Kuroda, made by Kuroda-Taiki )
Gym leader #4 - D. Joe (Dakota Joe)
From the gym of Rollrock City.
Etymology: ... Indiana Jones cheap version. XD
Bio: This pokémon trainer is a Don Juan with an heart of gold. His favourite hobby is treasure-hunting. He has quite a knowledge of Irusia's most important relics. He uses mainly earth and rock pokémon.

(concept by me and Kuroda, made by Kuroda-Taiki)
Gym leader #5 - Magda
From the gym of Heatsurge Isle.
Etymology: from "magma"
Bio: This young girl has an hot temperament, like the isle where she lives.
She is a great lover of dancing and fire arts. She often combines them for entertainment. Obviously, she uses fire-typed pokémon.

(concept by me, Kuroda and Robert-One, made by Kuroda-Taiki)
Gym leader #6 - Zero Kevin
From the gym of Whitepeak Village.
Etymology: Zero Kelvin (0) is the coldest temperature possible.
Bio: This young lad is a phenomenon of puns and bad wisecracks. The people always freeze at his cabaret attempts.
But when he plays the role of the gym leader, he freezes them with his ice-typed pokémons.

(concept by me and Kuroda, made by Kuroda-Taiki)
Gym leader #7 - Vernon
From the gym of Chimnepolis.
Etymology: Because of the similarity with "Venom"
Bio: The selfish, sniffy and opportunistic gym leader of Chimnepolis is also a magnate of Irusia's industries and marketing. He is the boss of the "Van Smoker Enterprises". He is specialyzed in poison types.

(concept by me and Kuroda, made by Kuroda-Taiki)
Gym leaders #8 - Faust & Blair
From the gym of Blackshire.
Etymology: He's named after "Fausto", his original italian name, inspired to "infausto" (=ill-omened), while her name is inspired to a classical witch name or "The Blair Witch Project", a popular horror film.
Bio: This strange couple share everything. Clothing style, color preferences... and an uncanny passion for haunted houses. They spend most of their time outdoors and that's an habit that most of the aspiring pokémon trainers find tiresome.
They uses, respectively, Dark and Ghost pokémons.

I really love the Grass and Rock type gym leaders. They look awesome, love their designs and clothing choices. Blair's VS Sprite bothers me a bit, maybe because she might be a bit small. I guess it depends what angle you're going for. o:
In my opinion, I think Vernon will look cooler if he had chuck's eyes.

Great update overall.

They are all cool but I think I like Vernon most, he has this some sort of mafioso lookish style, he just need's a big cuban in his mouth and pollute airt with it a little.

But D. Joe is also amazing...I think I like Vernon just a little bit better...but...damn they are both equally awesome I don't know. The other's are cool as well, especially the ice type leader. Better leaders than in main series

Well, about Zero Kevin I think that's a really unusual name. What about Nero Kelvin. Nero looks like Zero, is italian for Black, was the name of a roman emperor, and Kevin don't looks like a last name. Kelvin seens more appropriate (Well, Nero Kelvin doesn't seems appropriate to hia personality, but at least can be a true name). Well, about the new gym leaders in general, I think that some of them are not so cool as others, but they still better than the Gym Leaders from the official games, and I've liked Faust and Blair more than the others, specially Faust. Liked the etymology of these both, but specially liked their appearances, specially Faust's one. I have used too many "specially".
