Even though it didn't say it, there is a major hint at it. Right after Pichu got hurt Pikachu started disappearing. So what I was wondering is Gold's Pichu, Pikachu in the past before it evolved into a Pikachu? Cause, Pikachu didn't start disappearing until after Pichu got hurt. Even though Euisune said he sent Pikachu from the future he never said how he got it. Maybe he stole it from Gold. Also when Gold first met Pikachu, Pikachu did act like he already knew Gold, even though they had only just met.
