Woo', version 2 is almost out!! -anxious-

& an island, eh? I'm really sure I have this 'evil' Pokemon worked out. I had a feeling Cynthia and Looker played bigger roles in this game. Great work, Oxnite!

Here is my opinion on some of the evolutions. I think that the pokemon that evolve through happiness should evolve that way. It's not hard at all to do. They usally evolve in the level 30's for me, and it's fun to see how much your pokemon likes you. Just my oppinion, most of the others look good to me.

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad to hear some other opinions.

Well actually, I don't really like the Happiness Evolutions. I use Potions etc. a lot in my battles and in this game your Pokémon will faint a lot more.

Everytime you faint or use an irritating item like a Potion, the Happiness of your Pokémon drops.

I'll keep it this way except if a lot more people complain about this. Sorry! Thanks for your comment though!

This looks awesome, I'm downloading it now and I'll let you know if I come across any bugs.

I would also prefer that the Pokemon that evolve by happiness still evolved that way, but it's not a dealbreaker for me or anything.

Something that I would love to see, and know that is probably impossible, is for the "walking pokemon" feature from HG/SS be implemented. Whenever I go back to play any of the other Gen IV games I really miss having my Pokemon follow me around.

Yeah, I'd really love to see that in Platinum too.. I'll look for it, but I think (as you say), it is technically impossible.

Will look for it though and might contact some pro-hackers!

Thanks a lot for your support. I'm really looking forward to your comments. Please tell me EVERYTHING you like and, what not, of course!

As Oxnite previously stated, your Pokemon will faint a lot more and therefore lose (20) happiness. 20 hard earned happiness down the drain because of one silly mistake. Do you really want that? I know I don't.

@Oxnite: You should add a poll asking whether or not to include happiness evolutions.

That would be so cool! Good luck anyway!

Good idea, I might do that soon.

Thanks for all the great comments, people.

Oh, and, @Spookymuffin (and actually everyone else playing the game), I'd like to hear all details about what you like and what not! Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I feel kind of stupid now. I downloaded the patch and followed the instructions (select the patch and the rom using the xdelta gui.exe and applying the patch) but it doesn't seem to be working; as in nothing happens after I click "apply patch".

Could it have anything to do with the operating system that I'm running (Vista)?

Having you pokemon faint only decreases 1 happiness point, growing a level gains 2. Items like potions do not decrease happiness, only herb items do that. It is easier than you would think to evolve a pokemon through happiness.

Oh, right.. My theory was wrong, it seems.

But, for example, my Budew evolved at level 30 or something like that, I really hated it. I'm going to open a Poll directly so you can vote!

I have Vista too, so that shouldn't be a problem.. Tomorrow I'll try to upload Version 2 and I'll search for a better patching way. Sorry for the troubles!

I'm also going to post some nice screenshots tomorrow! Please keep looking back!

because the distribution of roms is illegal? mabye that's why it has to be a patch and not the rom

But what about all those roms in the Hacks Showcase forum? @.@ Obviously it's illegal.

EDIT: Okay, turns out you can't post the roms. :[

My bad. Again.

Nope, posting Roms is illegal. That's too bad, indeed.

I'm currently searching for a better Patching way, so I can upload Version 1.1 again. Version 2 will take some more time because I'm testing it and I really want to update some text.

Therefore, I need thenewpoketext working and it doesn't work at the moment. Hopefully somebody can help me with that very soon.

UPDATE: Added Rozen's Userbar to the first post.

I've got a nice screenshot below, though. Don't look at it if you don't want to be spoiled!
