Yeah, I did newgame+, that may be it.

What's also funny is that when I downloaded the latest demo with the latest patch, it came with 10 or so different save files. I've deleted them already, but I thought it was kinda neat that I had several other people's save files.

Forgot to address this, don't think i've ever actually mentioned it ingame, or in this thread.

Active = while you're making decessions, the battle is still flowing, enemies still attack, your pokemon's wait bars still fill up. It will pause the battle when you enter a menu(attack, or item).

Wait = when a pokemon's bar is filled, and you can choose an action, the battle is essentially frozen. Other pokemons wait bars won't start filling until you make your decession.

It doesn't really make much difference.

Thanks, Biggs and Wedge are in nearly every final fantasy game, and since this is like a hybrid; I decided to put them on here.

GeoSigma: New/Old
Vanish: Team Switcher

The best I could do is switch around NG+. So, after beating necro, you would get it. You do go to whitney's city right after necro, so it makes sense.

just been mapping out sea routes. not very exciting; I won't bother showing it. Just imagine a bunch of water, with rocks around it making a path. :P

also trying do to whatever I can to postpone fixing all the bugs found by Dforte.
I gotta do it sooner or later... a bug free game is a good game.

How ... fun!
Anyway, when i downloaded the new beta the game started on a boat.
And all the charcters were very high levelled and i had no pokémon...
So ... I used some copies you had left there.
A bunch of Lv 30-40 files and some Debug files xD I had fun.

I had a problem with this game: when i got to Arbor Forest, it seemed to end in a glitched sea of glitchiness. I couldn't make it anywhere past that. Is it something I did wrong or what?

Normally when games have a NG+, they are usually after you've beaten the game, plus it still has a lot of bugs (most notably not being able to re-battle trainers), so I think you should put that on hold (my opinion).

yeah i agree swap team switcher with new game +, new game + should be closer to the end or even the very end. Team switcher that late makes it pointless unless you have been training multiple by yourself. having team switcher allows you to swap your team of favorites for a type advantage team to beat Gym Leaders or AI's.

Okok. You guys bring up very good points, Necro will now give Team Switching instead of new game+. (If you've beaten necro and havent finished demo6, you'll automatically obtain team switching at the start of v0.7


Just been grammar fixing. Im going through and adding more dialouge for gold(main character) so he talks back to people more. Makes the script feel more alive. I've gotten through 1/3rds of Dfortes (awesome) errorlist.


Also, NG+ does reset trainers in v0.6

this door on route 13 doesn't work but I haven't checked if in ver "0.603 with new game fixed" it works.
EDIT: It's possible to evolve onix? And how?

I really like the use of multiple pokémon in 1 fight, because it's original for GBC pokémon games!

Congrats on breaking 1000 reply mark! I remember a while back, when the thread was about to die, I secretly bumped it, hehe :D.

Though it is bugged it does give people something to do while betas are being worked on. Also each reward an AI awards the player is related to the nature of the AI in some sort.

Necro is AI of life and death, so his reward to the player of New Game + makes sense as it gives us 'new life', essentially. Him giving us team switcher would be off, but I'm sure you or someone else can think of something.

Have you ever thought about adding more cookies in the game? I was thinking maybe adding characters from different games or something like that.

Since the play style is based on Final Fantasy, why not add characters from those games?

Cookies? Do you mean cameos/easter eggs?

Not sure if biggs and wedge count. Theres characters named biggs and wedge in most FF game (I don't think FF1 or 2 had them). Also im retconning to add a cid in the game too.

As for real cameos. It's always possible. an augumon(from digimon) is already programmed(but unobtainable) in the game.

In the storyline, eventually the 4th wall will break meaning forien code can enter the game. I could use that as an excuse to get characters from other games. I do need some more interesting sidequests.

Na, then Vanish_23 wouldn't give anything :/

Anyone who already has NG+ will still keep it. Anyone who does a fresh new game will have to wait til the end of the demo to get NG+

I've done most of the bugfixing;

I've realised chapter 6(derailed: when you go to desert and fight regirock) is very short. in comparison to the other chapters. So, im going to be retro fitting an event. A rival encounter and an event including team rocket trying to hijack the train.

I'm not entirely sure how it would work for the people who've already passed chapter 6. :/
I might just make the game instantly warp you there and make you do the events- once you reach the ignis island.

I encountered 2... I think they were both Spearow, though. Also: Fighting Rockets on a train. That is using a Missed Moment of Awesome that GSC/HGSS could have used, and I love it. You made Chapter 6 my second favorite chapter now, next to 7. Seriously, that makes it even more badass. Can't wait to see more.

:o Agumon is in the game? Now I have to look for him. But since you're gonna have the 4th wall break, I would say Digimon fits pretty well. I only remember DW2, but those were 3-on-3 battles, so it fits pretty well into your game.

Not sure how many people are/were big fans of Yu-Gi-Oh, but since you already have a card game, why not have those characters enter as well and play your card game and possibly give some kind of reward for beating them.

I can't wait for the fourth wall to break.

also as for a way to get people who passed the event to relive it, maybe you could just make some unpassable block, that instantly warps the player if they haven't already finished the event.

XD That would be great. Imagine a duel with Blue Eyes White Dragon. XD Or the Winged Dragon of Ra. (Actually quite funny when you think about it. :D)

About the sidequests... maybe you can add some plot lines form other games. Like you run into a character from FFV, for instance. You could help them with something that ties in with the plot of FFVI. Or any other game, for that matter.

That actually gave me a pretty good idea. If DarkDoom decides to go that route, I'll let him know. I think it would stretch out the sidequest for a while (Gonna go write the idea down so I don't forget).

Err... to be honest, I'm really not comfortable with (even more) full on crossovers. I can appreciate cameos, even to the current extent that we have, but... the extent I'm seeing is... quite frankly, insane. It'd feel awkward, at least to me. It'd take a lot more time to add in all of these subplots and, well... it'd just feel awkward as hell to see even more worlds combined into this.

If you want to do it, that's fine. This is me being sort of selfish, anyway. If you don't want to do it, then don't let them pressure you into it just to please them. Probably wouldn't end up being a good thing.
