3rd Generation: Which starter did you choose?

Sapphire: Mudkip
Emerald: Torchic
FireRed: Charmander
LeafGreen: Squirtle
FireRed (second copy): Bulbasaur

Other than that, I always prefer to have the fire type.

Torchic and Squirtle. Every single time I've started those games, they've been my go-to starters. I like their stats and movesets, and they're the best looking of the starters that you can choose from (considering their final forms, of course).

Treecko and Squirtle. Back then I was inspired by the anime and since Ash had Treecko I decided to take it. As for Squirtle? Well... I love water types xD. But nowadays I prefer Mudkip and Bulbasaur.

My first Pokemon game was Sapphire. Of course I chose Torchic. ♥ I got FireRed afterwards and started with Squirtle.

Torchic and Squirtle. At when Torchic evolved I was like "Wow a fire/fighting pokemon".

Then they just had to make the next two generation fire starters be fire/fighting. Come up with something new Gamefreak!

for rse, i choose mudkip (however i restarted the game and went with treecko afterwards), and in fr/lg i choose charmander.

In RSE I always picked Mudkip. In FRLG I first picked Charmander, but when I lost the game and picked up a new one, I chose Squirtle.

Mudkip, I hate the fire/fighting combo e-o but at least Torchic was the one who started the type unlike some other unimaginative creations

Charmander for FR/LG is what I pick now I used to pick Squirtle imo the game is easier if you pick the sweeper type starter in this game, Blastoise is really balanced and even if you focus on only him through training he still won't be able to one shot a few pokemon I love the water starters more often but Charizard is the best imo.
