EV training doesn't seem like that much fun if you ask me.

@Smith, its not all the time. Though, when I do EV training, I feel my Pokemon are sadden instead.

11. EV training can be quite a chore sometimes, but it, in fact, does pay-off in the end(that is, if you do it right), so all the hard work isn't for naught, really. The process of doing it though, is what made the games kinda boring to me.

Even RNGing I wanted to get into, but kinda couldn't, and was the very reason that I didn't play my Black version for about three months. I've just...lost interest, I suppose.

I prefer allowing my Pokemon to fight the toughest opponents they can to build up their experience and find new stategies to win. It's more fun that way, and it's easier to really get into the game.

Whatever works for each individual, I suppose. EV training worked out for me because I liked it's results, and I kept getting into it. Thing is though, sometimes I've been doing it wrong, and in other times it feels like more hassle than it's worth, especially in this generation and whatnot. Casual training and battling seems like the easier route to go when it comes to raising Pokemon rather than EV training, that is, if you don't care about boring yourself constantly with it.

@Twilight Sky: It hasn't failed me yet. But you're right, different people train in different ways. If you like to EV train, then who am I to stop you?

Nah, I don't want to come off as negative or anything, I'm just saying. XD; EV training is more of my thing sometimes, but because it's too much of a hassle, I'm thinking of just training casually, while still caring about my stats and natures and things like that, to make sure they're high and stuff.

I'm not a competitive battler, but I'll hopefully be taking part in the Tutoring thing going on. I'm so excited <3

Well, they did say there'd be a tournament at a Get-Together (I think it's this upcoming one, even), so we might get a chance to do so.

I'm also happy that Wine can actually run Pokemon Online <3

You guys should. While competitive battling may not seem like a bit thing to you guys now, I can almost say with certainty that certain parts of it will at least intrigue you a bit, given enough practice and dedication and once you hone your skills. Remember, nobody gets it perfect the first time around, but you really do see results the more you start to battle and recognize certain threats within the metagame.

Well, I already find it intriguing :3 I'm not one for competition, but there are certain aspects of it that are pretty sweet.

You know, the only Pokemon I will never harm in Competitive Battling, is Latias. Other than her, I'm OK with.

It's a shame Latias is pretty common in competitive, and quite the force to mess with once you do encounter her. D:

Yep, I seen videos with her in it. Though Spiritomb could probably end it with 6 CMs.

Thing is, you'd have to think strategically in some cases, because most(actually the majority of) of your opponents aren't going to let you CM a good couple of times in a row, unless they've really screwed up somewhere and made a bad move and whatnot. A CM Draco Meteor from Latias does hurt, yknow. D:

Unless, you CM'd before Latias was switched in.

But then you'd also have to worry about Taunt users. The one thing you really have to keep in mind when it comes to competitive is outsmarting your opponents and predicting their moves before they predict yours. xD;

Jellicent is also quite the common threat only because it's kinda bulky and it's quite the rapid spin blocker and a pain in the neck to get rid of. And usually anything that gets rid of Jellicent is walled by Ferrothorn, so you'd have to watch out for both of those Pokemon. It's really not surprising if they end up on the same team.

That'll probably work out, between Jellicent & Ferrothorn. Though, I dislike them both, so I don't use them, at all.

If anything, I really do encourage you to participate in the CBC tutoring thing. Learning how to predict what your opponent is going to switch and when they're going to switch is going to help you out big time and might turn the tables to your favor in a battle.

^Its why I signed up for, for that reason, predicting opponent's moves & switch-ins.

And I bet by the time you take a few classes, you'd already be mastering your skill at prediction! It's not something that's really hard to do so much as it is something to get used to, really. xD
