I'm sorta the same way. I mean I've been created new OC ponies to interact with others official ponies on the show. Right now, I'm working on a pony that is a NightMare Moon supporter. (An actual ShadowBolt member) who has a crush on Twilight Sparkle, but she and him at times clash due to the mishaps and events between the Equestrian Empire and the NightMare Rebellion factions. However, he only wants to be acceptance in Equestria with the other ponies who aid the NightMare Rebellion. Ironically, it is learned that NightMare wasn't destroyed by the Elements of Harmony, but she only split from Luna. Luna has a part of NightMare in her while via visa with NightMare Moon. Throughout the "Retaking Ponyville" series, NightMare tries to concise that Twilight and all of Equestria that her goals have changed and she wants her Rebellion to be accepted in Equestria. It could be, but according to the episode's synopsis... she trying to change her outlook on her subjects. (I'm always her subject no matter the cost.)

However, in a way... it does still sound like she's evil, but we'll a see soon. :D

That's what I'm thinking. The "Nightmare Night" festivities, may make Luna seem evil, or bring out the evil within her. I don't know really, leaning more towards the first issue than the second.

If the Nightmare Night is anything like their 'Halloween' another Zacora mishap could definitely end up being that. That, or Luna is trying to go along with the festivities, and thus the black clock is her costume and it's making her look a bit evil. I mean... for all we know, that could be her determined look! An evil determined look, but a determined look nonetheless.

Iunno, I may be the only one who thinks this but; I would be okay with Luna being a villain, even if it did last forever. Honestly I really like the idea of two opposite deities, one good, the other evil. But I seriously doubt the writers would do that at this point, I just think it may be a little more interesting.

I'm more of a Nightmare Moon fan anways.
