I clicked the front page one, but if I remember correctly (It was yesterday), I think that it was a .rar file, which don't work on my computer.

You need a program like WinRAR or 7-zip to open .rar

Anyway, I REALLY enjoy this game. I can't wait to play the next demo, or beta, or whatever you want to call it I'll play it.

I have Winrar, but my strange computer doesn't let it work for some reason. It closes halfway through converting the file's type. I haven't tried 7-zip, but I will download it now and try.

Yup yup, I get a lot of complaints on the forest. I realized the main problem is that there is way to much grass. So in the 3rd demo, I will be removing a lot of it!

I don't think the heavy amount of grass was that big of a deal. Maybe lower the encounter rate just a notch?

My only complaint about the forest was that you had to go through it twice to progress, and that wasn't fun.

@Darkdoom: thanks man haha. Glad you enjoy it :)

@Ratty: I don't think I can reduce the encounter rate in one map. And taking grass out will actually reduce it since there's less grass to walk through haha. And like I said, you'll have to stock up on repels. (especially if you do the side missions, which require you to go through the forest again XD)

You can?

If you go to the editor, under where it says "Set Encounters" go to where it says "Density" and you can edit the encounter rates for Land (a.k.a. Tall grass), caves, and whatnot for a single map

Hmm... if you're gonna reduce encounters; keep it consistent across all similar maps. ie: keep it the same across all forests.

It seems bizzare to just have 1 forest having a lower encounter rate than the rest.

How so? I believe there are many other RPGs outside of pokemon that have slightly inconsistent encounter rates.

Thanks for the demo! i really enjoyed it the game looks promising and the gathering of previous evil organization leaders is intriguing.. just what are they up to...hmmm...

I also love the amount of pokemon you can find in this demo alone, there are so many of my favourites i feel spoilt for choice Dx if only i could carry more than six xD

Hey i downloaded the demo and i tried extracting it yet it says it failed. Help anyone?

Nvm i used the link on page 7 or 8 and it worked, i would switch the link on the first page because that is missing a certain .dll

@Sylvie18: Thanks, i'm glad you like it. I just added in about 60 more pokemon in the last 2 days, and still have a lot more to do before the net release :)/

Hello, i'm new to the forum, I just wanted to say I played through your demo and there were a few things I wanted to say about it, good and bad.

Good: Well developed storyline, good characters, good gym leaders.

Bad: Some sprites are sort of weird, but overall they are good, no offense but the fire starter kind of looks its on crack (jk its ok) but you might wanna tweak it a little.

I also wanted to give a shoutout that I would like to be on a game development team, sort of to learn how to do this stuff. Im not good with a lot of stuff but I can make some sprites though I'm more of an idealist and coming up with the script, anyone, PM me if anyone wants to let me join their team.

A few bugs because I just finished the game (nice job though!)
1. Snorlax is invisible after he beats you
2. Sometimes a trainer will come to battle me and end up blocking a doorway or something that is vital to go through.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next demo!

One thing I noticed while playing the game was that the move yawn never seemed to work for myself, or when I was fighting snorlax, not sure if that is a bug or just unluckiness.
