Fixed? For comparative purposes, it's 4 pixels shorter then Ash.

EDIT: And if you look below, 5 shorter then Brock.

No news is good news for once, since I'm guessing Pikachu's OK. And since I've overcome my crippling art block tied to Pikachu's bad job, I was able to take care of both Brock and Misty.



Now we're cooking.

Pikachu is still to tall. It's suppose to be like... 1/3 the size of Ash.
Ash looks fine.
Misty looks to manly, have her arms go down her side instead of jut out like that. And the hair on her right (our left) is to crazy. Tone it down a bit, take out some black lines, and make that whole area less prominent. Brocks hair looks unnatural, the edges are to ... straight? there's no curve.

Maybe so, but I'm sticking with what I've got. Tiny Pokemon with official overworlds are never quite proportional. (Though I suppose I could push it another pixel ... )

Not sure I agree about the arm thing, but I'll give it a shot. Definitely going to redo the black, I thought it looked a little off, but now that I know someone else thinks so ...

Here man, i took it upon myself to do some edits to show you what i meant.

I shortened pikachu, i took out some hair from misty, (i made it less prominent) and edited her pose so it was more lady like. Then i made brocks hair look a tad more natural. I used the darker brown to make it look like there was more curve, and edited the sides so they weren't to straight. Hope you don't mind i did this!

No, I don't. I actually like Brock, but I'm trying to make everyone's size uniform (as per their age) ... I'm keeping Misty the way I had her though. Her hair really is pretty poofy. I did have Brock previously looking like this:



Which both makes my height mandate and is similar to your edit. It's sort of silly me to make everyone a uniform height though. I know Gary's not going to make it.

Really digging the overworlds, and I like the style. It's refreshing, different from the usual "chubby" overworld sprites from earlier gens.

I agree with Atomic on Jessie's hair. It just has a weird hiccup in the flow on the left side. As for Misty, it does not look bad, but I think Atomic is right, you could probably give her a bit of a hair cut... it's just a bit busy is all.

The new Froakie looks great, of course. The only thing that is bothering me is the black pixels (that I highlighted in red).



The upper one I think looks more congruent with your shading in the gray, while the other two, I'm not sure of... the bottom left pixel makes that edge look to sharp, and the one to the upper right of it seems to out of place as a black pixel. I tried the gray... but I'm not sure if I liked that any better... so I guess that's your call (Then again, who am I to say what you should or shouldn't do... the old-fashioned spriter I am )

Regardless, I'm so glad (and proud) to see that you're still spriting and have become quite accomplished! I'm very impressed that you have stock with your Kanto OW project, and have progressively made them better and better! You have far exceeded my level of spriting! I might have to whip a little something up, since I'm being put on the shelf by some of these newer folks, and you

So ... I've been incredibly busy as of late. Spring musical, college application ****, Ultimate practice. Anyway, I'm back. Don't have much to show to prove it, but to prove that I plan on sticking around, I fixed Jessie. I think. (Also re-colored Togepi.)

DERP. No wonder Jessie doesn't look better, I fixed the wrong side of her hair. I'll see what I can do about that. Also, I like Misty the way she is, I'm not going to change her. And yeah, Todd is off. I think his hair is a little flat now that I look at it in hindsight. I'll get around to that sometime.

Something about Sabrina is bothering me. I'm not sure what is is, exactly. I guess her face looks a little squashed or something compared to her body. These are looking pretty nice so far, though.
