Thank you! *cough* So I'm still really stuck on the E4, namely in that I can't make a Lorelei I'm happy with. This is what I've got so far.

Halp? :T

Thanks for the help guys, you're the best. In all seriousness though, I'm starting to like the way she looks. A case of Stockholm syndrome perhaps?

Anyway, I tried my hand (hah!) at a VS Sprite. This is my second attempt at anything like this, and my first serious one. I'm pretty pleased with myself.

Thoughts?

It looks like... it's been stretched or skewed, but idk why...
Did you do it from scratch? It looks pretty damn good man :)

Hmm. Someone over on the Spriter's Resource also said it was skewed. Can you try explaining? And yeah, it's scratch. I had a pretty particular reference though. :)

It looks like he's been skewed to the right, maybe cause his head is angled? I can't quite figure out what it is.

It looks better, but it still looks kind of squashed. Like the sides are too wide for how tall the VS sprite is, if that makes sense. Maybe it's just me. Also, I think the outlining for his arm could use a little more contrast on the side closest to his face.

Nice work, but there are still couple issues:

His head really seems too large, like as large as his shoulders...

It's a bit pillowshaded: the shadow on his face tells the light come from left, while the shade on his sleeve is coming from top-right.

There is missing shadow on his t-shirt under his arm. The light is coming from left et his body is facing right, so all is t-shirt should be shaded. Same goes for the right part of the (blue) vest. I would say that it should be shaded from about under his right eye (our left eye OPV) until the t-shirt.
