INTRO

Welcome to the Pokemon Odyssey 2: The Dark Tournament!

The story begins in the Region of Argos, where the Dark Tournament is being held. Contenders from distant lands all across the worlds come to participate in the Tournament, a contest of myths and shadows. In total, their numbers now dwell just above 500. They arrive in the port city of Abel. Abel rests on right next to the sea, and is the largest port city in all of Argos, in fact, probably anywhere. Here there lies residential areas, shops, dojos for training as well as any other pleasures that could be found. Notable as well is a giant spike-like pillar called the Spire that seems to extend never endless into the sky, beyond the clouds. It is one of the truly interesting sights to behold in Abel.

It is here that you make your Intro post. Every nation/faction is different, so pay attention.

Gold Tribe

A handful of Gold Tribe members set off from the Alpha Alliance by sea. The journey has taken two weeks before they finally arrive in the Region of Argos to participate in the Dark Tournament from the west. The new and mysterious land is an enigma to them, as they have never traveled here before. In you post, you can detail, if you wish, the two week journey to Abel, your opinions of the other Gold Tribe members (some you may have known for a while, others you may have only just met), as well as any thoughts you might have on Argos and the Dark Tournament. Besides that, follow my character, Kent Reed, as the Gold Tribe makes its way into Abel and toward the giant spike, where the opening ceremony is said to be held. You may post as little or as much as you like. Remember that the Gold Tribe members refer to each other by their title more than their names.

Kingdom of Tollen

The envoys of the Kingdom of Tollen arrive by caravans from the East, where Tollen Resides. Their mission is victory in the Tournament in order to use the Ultimate Power to cure the mysterious illness held by their King Reylas. In your post, (again, you don’t have to include everything I say) you may detail you journey to the mysterious new land of Argos, as well as your opinions and relationships with the other characters from Tollen, as those are the ones currently with you. You should follow the group from the Kingdom of Tollen as they make their way through the city toward the large spike center, the Spire, where the opening ceremony of the Dark Tournament is being held.

Region of Argos

The participants of the country Argos have been in the port city of Abel for a few days now, as they were participating in the try-outs for the Tournament. You are the few who have made it. You aren’t in awe and wonder about the city and it’s surroundings, because you live in the region and most likely have seen it already, but you may (or may not) be interested in the other contenders that have arrived from a handful of other mysterious lands you have never heard of. When you’re ready, you may make your way (by yourself) towards the Spire, where the Tournament opening ceremony is being held.

Order of Alcantus

As members of the Order, you travel with your three leaders, Hydra the Hydreigon, Regigigas, and another Pokemon in a hood, simple called, Zion, and will make your way to Abel from the South upon your massive Pokemon who carry you there. This is a recently formed group, and not many have heard of you, although there are many suspicions. Still, it is surprising that whoever invited you to the Tournament already knew you were a powerful group. You will make your way to the giant spike called the Spire, where the opening ceremony is being held. You may make your intro post as long as you wish, detailing anything you want about your journey, including the trip from your lands, your opinion of the other characters/members of the Order, and the city of Abel once you arrive there.

*********************************************************

(As a way to help you guys understand which posts you should read, I am highlighting my posts with the nation on top of them. You are, of course, still welcome to read all of the posts. This is just to help you).

Gold Tribe

The ship slowed down as it made it's way to a stop upon the docks of a new, mysterious land called Argos. The ship was embroidered with gold on the side, and the sails were of a fine golden color. Many are often in awe at the beauty of such a vessel. On the top sailed two flags, flying high in the ocean breeze. To the people of Argos, and to most of the other nations who arrived, they had no clue who were on this grand vessel.

But where they come from, they are very well known. The first flag was the symbol of the Alpha Alliance, the nation the passengers of this ship are apart of, and sworn to protect. The second flag is the flag of the Gold Tribe, the name given to the elite protectors. Through the centuries, the Gold Tribe has kept the peace in the Alpha Alliance as their watchful protectors, their knights, you can say. Now, they come again to the land of Argos, to ensure it's continued protection.

The leader of the Gold Tribe, Kent Reed, known to his members as "Kaiser", the title he took when he was sworn in by his deceased father and former leader of the Gold Tribe, the "Champion" Wallace Reed. Kent stood next to the front of the ship, as he observed with a bit of curiosity this new land called Argos. He knew nothing about it, and even though he wasn't here to explore it, he was still quite excited about it.

When the invitations came to participate in the Dark Tournament, he was only allow to bring a handful of his members, yet the Tournament was said to contain over 500 participants, all strong, all deadly. Kent knew this wouldn't be easy. He wondered briefly why the Tournament would refer to itself as "Dark" in the first place. He gathered it must have gotten that from reputation. In other words, he knew from the start it would be dangerous. The Gold Tribe members that he brought along with him were risking more than their pride, they were also risking their lives.

Kent looked back at the ship, and observed his other Gold Tribe members. There were six of them in total. The first was Ambrosia Dusklore, known as the "Tactician". Kent knew the last name well. Her father, Burstborn, had help Kent defeat the Order of Neoverse two years ago when the Alpha Alliance was in crisis. He had heard she had some sort of birth defect, where she ages extremely fast. Nevertheless, he had heard great things about her from his father.

The second member was Toro Blaze, known as "Bellator". He was a fairly new member to the Gold Tribe, and hadn't heard much about him, other than he has lost his family to the Order of Neoverse, like so many before him. Still, Kent trusted him. It must have been his instincts. They both came from a Zangoose line, after all.

The third member was Genko, known as "Spirit", another new member. Besides his birth defect, he couldn't pinpoint much that he knew about him. Still, he was sure he would learn what he needed to as time passed.

The fourth member was the one he was most familiar with, and a good friend he had met two years ago, Silver, known as "Vesica Argentum". He had fought alongside him two years ago when they defeated the Order of Neoverse. Kent wasn't sure what he had been up to for the past two years, but he was glad to see him again.

The fifth member was a Ditto named Replicus Decendas. He was a tricky one, able to transform into anyone by memory, and his memory was very good. It was a very useful ability to have.

The last member was a Toxicroak by the title of Stingfist. He had made his way to the Gold Tribe through the academy that had opened up two years ago. He had heard he was mentored by Stormseeker, another member who had helped him defeat the Order two years ago. He heard they had a falling out, though, but he was knew he could still rely on him.

Kent looked over all of the one more time, nodding to them and heard as one of the Pokemon sailors shouted.

"Anchor in, land approached!" They had arrived in the port city of Abel.

The very first thing Kent notice was an enormous spike standing in the center of the city, seeming to extend into the sky. The city itself was busy with people.

Kent jumped off the ship, followed by the others. He looked around the city and it's citizens. Many of them were looking over the Gold Tribe and their ship, probably not used to their kind of tourists. Kent looked back at his Gold Tribe members and spoke.

"Gold Tribe, the invitation said to make our way toward the giant spike know here as the Spire. That's where the opening ceremony will be held. Let's get moving."

He turned around and walked forward. Kent wasn't sure what awaited them, but he was sure, he would be able to handle it. The Gold Tribe were used to fighting. It's what they did.

Kingdom of Tollen

Zachary Orthanius heard as the caravans halted at the gates of the city by the name of Abel. He opened the cloth and saw the city for the first time. It was a large city, with a giant port. From there, he could see as dozens of ships were making port. If he had to guess, it was other participants. Then he noticed a giant spike sticking out from the center of the city. That's where they were going.

Zachary climbed out of the caravan along with the others.

"The caravan should probably turn back from here. We can walk the rest of the way."

He said to the rest of the emissaries from Tollen. They had traveled from their beloved land to participate in the Dark Tournament with the hopes of using the Ultimate Power to cure a sickness that plagued their King, Reylas. Zachary would do whatever he could to protect his, even die in this Tournament if he had to. He knew the others would feel the same way.

Among them included the Lorenzo Aria, who, although Zachary thought a bit inexperienced and a tad unknown, was beckoned to come by the King himself. He would, of course, bow to the will of the king. He was sure Lorenzo would do whatever he could to help in the quest for the power.

Shiro Jinkio was another among them. He had come from one of the noble houses of Tollen, so Zachary would be sure to show Shiro with the respect he deserves.

Nova was another with them. Young, yes, but the Prince of Tollen had specifically asked her to come along with them. Zachary was not someone who would insult based on appearance, as he believed anyone who fit the strength and courage could do anything, if they were up to the task. Still, he did often have a bit of intrigue about her strange appearance, which was, basically of a dark colored Espeon.

The last of them was by far the most known to Zachary. It was the Duchess of Tollen, Caitlyn Charporé. Some might question her abilities, but no one ever questioned her dedication. She was, after all, from a noble family as well, and one of the most respected individuals from Tollen. However, Zachary had not known her to be the fighting type. Still, if she was here, she was here with purpose.

Zachary stretched his wings out once more before folding them in, and proceeded towards the Spire by foot. As he saw it, this wasn't the best of places to attract attention.

Region of Argos

Four Machamp had finally contained a drunk Hariyama and threw him out of the bar known as the "Happy-Go-Lucky", a favorite among the locals. The Haryiama had been causing all sorts of trouble for a while, and he was getting out of hand. Eventually, they managed to subdue him, and the bar returned to it's normal self again.

From the corner of the bar, a Lucario by the name of Derrick Onkai sat and enjoyed his drink. The actual hassle with the Hariyama had been his initiation. He had exchange drinks with the Hariyama in order to make him drunk faster, replacing his simple drink with one of the most potent in the bar, and the watched as he went ballistic. The reason for this was simple.

Before the Dark Tournament would start, that Hariyama was his last target.

Derrick sighed and walked out of the door, and saw as the drunken Hariyama struggled to get up. He offered him a hand up. The Hariyama looked at him and smiled, unable to get his words totally clear.

"Gee...hic...thanks stranger..hic.." But before he knew it, the Lucario took his hand, and used his other to pummel the Hariyama with a Close Combat. The Hariyama screamed in pain, but was too hammered to be able to fight back. Very soon, he was knocked out. Derrick got a rope out of his bag, and tied it around the Hariyama's neck, and began dragging him. He walked across town, many of the Pokemon around staring at the Lucario who dragged the downed Pokemon by the neck with rope.

But no one said anything to him. They knew who he was, and they didn't want anything to do with him. That was better this way.

He had finally stopped at a building, and walked inside. It was the local jail and guard building. He dumped the body in the front gate, and walked to a Machoke, who was an officer there. The Machoke looked at the Hariyama and then at the Lucario, recognizing him right away. He spoke to him.

"I hadn't realize you were in these parts, Derrick. Here for the Tournament?"

Derrick didn't reply. The Machoke shrugged and handed him a bag of gold, which he took right away, and dumped it all out and began counting right in front of the Machoke.

"You don't have to count, it's all there!" The Machoke said. The Lucario ignored him, as he finished counting and filled the bag again with gold.

He had to make sure. He didn't trust anyone.

Derrick proceeded out of the building. He turned towards the direction of the Spire. He sighed, as he proceeded there, silently saying goodbye to his mercenary career for now. He had a tournament to win.

Order of Alcantus

Regigigas and the Order of Alcantus arrived in the Region of Argos, at the outskirts of the city known as Abel. They had never yet been here before, but that hardly mattered. Once the Ultimate Power was theirs, this would be just another name in the conquered cities of the Order of Alcantus. He halted the force that came with them. Regigigas spoke.

"We're at the city." He looked at the other Order members that traveled with them, Leader Hydra, a Gengar known as Azar Polterus, and a Roselia named Alvah Cavan.

"Hydra, you should lead the others into the city and towards the Spire to participate in the opening ceremonies. It...would be better if I wouldn't be there, might attract too much attention." He said, speaking in his loud, booming voice. The third leader of the Order, Zion, spoke next from behind his cloak.

"I'll go with you as well."

Regigigas nodded. "Very well, show them the might of the Order."

Regigigas took one look at them before they departed. Hydra had been a Commander of the Order of Neoverse, and one of the few who had survived to the very end. He is one of the three leaders of the Order.

Not much was known to Regigigas about Azar and Alvah, other than their fighting capabilities. That was enough.

Zion was a mystery to Regigigas. He didn't know who he was, he just knew that he had helped reorganize all of the survivors of the Order of Neoverse. He had also helped Regigigas track down Hydra, and convince him to join the Order of Alcantus.

Whoever he was, Regigigas cared not. The only thing he cared about was winning the Tournament, and getting the Ultimate Power. Then, they could get their revenge on the Gold Tribe, and after that, they can conquer not just the Alpha Alliance, but all of the other nations as well.

*************************************************************************

Dylan's Intro.

"Wait, you mean...I'm not invited?" Dylan asked, his eyes wide open, full of suspicion and anger, sitting on his sofa with his arms crossed, "After years of training? The courses...the techniques...the strategies...all gone to waste?"

"Calm down sweetie," Oceania, the Buizel's mother replied, removing the dust on a vase ever so gently with a little soft brush, glancing at Dylan once in a while, trying to give him the most gentle smile ever. Then after the smile, she turned to the vase once again, cleaning it gently, careful not to leave a scratch, "It doesn't matter if you're not invited. You're eleven, and people don't really know much about you. Plus, with your skills, you can beat those teenagers out there with a hand behind your back. It's not a waste, and you can protect yourself whi-"

Before the Floatzel could finish, a small silver crescent-shaped wind disk was shot towards the vase, tilting the valuable object off the table before Oceania could get her hands on it. The vase landed on the ground with a large crash, and it was broken into pieces with a large 'clang', the shards flying outwards, missing the mother and son by a few centimeters. It was obvious that it was Dylan and his shenanigans, as his little silver 'fins' on his wrists were still glowing, a glowing effect from the move razor blade.

Crossing her arms, Oceania pouted, staring at the shattered vase, the shards scattered onto the floor, sharp as glass, "That's a very expensive vase, Dylan. What were you thinking?!"

"I was thinking about the Tournament!" Dylan replied, throwing a little tantrum, his feet dangling from the sofa, safe from the shards below, "I'm not THAT bad, heck, I'm the youngest fighter in this little Hestia town, and I'm STILL not invited. They're underestimating me!"

"They're not underestimating you, sweetie, you're overestimating yourself." Oceania spoke, calming down as she grabbed a broomstick, sweeping the shards away, "You can beat every teen-age Pokemon out there, but what about the Veterans? What about the professionals? They're good and experienced, you can't just go out there and fight them! They'll kill yo-"

"They won't kill me, mom," Dylan interrupted, rolling his eyes, "Heck, I can even beat you in a fight."

Silence. Then after a few seconds, Oceania pushed the broomstick aside and raised an eyebrow, her eyes glowing, a sign that she was really interested. "Oh really? So confident? Well, I guess we'll find out." Walking out of the little house, Oceania watched as her son followed her, the young Buizel's eyes full of mischief and naiveness. They faced each other, about twenty meters away from each other, staring at each other in the eyes as if they were having a showdown, waiting to draw their guns.

Dylan attacked first. His wrist fins glowing silver once again, he flung his arms again and again, flinging some silver colored crescent blades towards his mother. Oceania had no difficulty evading it, however, as jumping could solve the problem with ease. While jumping in the air, the Floatzel opened her mouth, a large ball of water forming inside it, and seeing his mother's attack, Dylan did it as well, with some modifications. Instead of generating it inside his mouth, he placed his hands together, forming a bright ball of raging water between his palms, the size similar to his mother's.

As Oceania released her attack, Dylan pushed his ball outwards as well, both water balls colliding in mid air with a large bang, disintegrating together in the air. The balls didn't just disappear though, the explosion created a strong water pulse, spreading out in all directions. Placing his arms before him like an X, Dylan embraced the water pulse, and Oceania, which was still in the air, wasn't able to do so. Knocked back onto the ground, the Floatzel crashed onto the floor, and for a second there, Dylan was really worried about his mother. Did he cross the line? Did he do too much, knowing that his mother was already thirty nine years old, and wasn't as strong as she used to be?

Dylan sighed in relief, as his mother sat up pretty much unharmed, rubbing her head with her right hand, looking at her son with a little smile on her face. The smile was basically an 'I'm okay' sign, and judging by the way she was looking at him, she was either happy, or proud of the little Buizel. Apparently, it was both. Running towards his mother, he pounced onto her, his head resting on her stomach, cuddling Oceania like a good little baby. Hugging her tight, Dylan smiled, looking into her eyes, and his mother smiled back, her smile gentle and warm, something only mothers had. Cuddling with his own mother might seen childish, but heck, he was eleven. What did you expect from him? After all, he was just a kid. A kid with a big dream.

"You did well, and that water ball was excellent, in size, speed, accuracy, and strength." Oceania spoke, hugging her son tightly by wrapping her arms around him, patting his head as well, "Either i'm weaker than I used to be, or you've improved a lot. I can't tell."

"You DID teach me mom," Dylan beamed, giggling, "Not to mention some of your relatives and friends did as well. Plus, i've been the milk delivering Buizel for years in this town, so I get free lessons." Looking at his mother, his face darkened, then he sighed, "I guess I'll never be good enough to join the tournament, no matter how I try. After all, I'm a weirdo. I have empoleon blood with me, which explains the silver wrist fins, which are supposed to be BLUE."

"Well, I'll be supporting you no matter what, Dylan." she spoke, letting her son go slowly, "And if you're really going to the Spire, I won't stop you. Just be careful."

Nodding, Dylan hugged his mother once again, and walked into the house once again, getting his stuff. He wasn't planning to bring much, but he had to make sure, as he had no idea when he was going to return. Reaching for his black little pouch, he stuffed some cash into it, then wrapped it around his waist, then placed his blue fedora-like hat onto his head. He wasn't invited. Not at all, but he was going to the opening ceremony anyway.

In this journey, he was going to unravel numbers of secrets and mysteries. Secrets of his past, mysteries that include a golden, magical trident with a letter 'N' on it, secrets about his half-brother, a brother he had never heard of...no matter what it's going to be, the little determined Buizel's ready for it. Ready for any obstacles standing in his way. This was the beginning of his long, dangerous journey. The beginning of his story, Dylan's story. After a few days, Dylan's life would never be the same...

Alvah Cavan

"Are you sure your ready for this Alvah?" Garret asked looking at the small oddly colored Roselia from his chair.

"Yes Elder, I know that I'm ready for this" Alvah said kneeling before the Roserade as a sign of respect. After all he was the oldest and most wise Pokemon in the clan. "I can do this Elder. I will make the clan and those we lost in the war proud" she added eyes and voice full of determination.

"I believe you are ready, but you are still young. There will be more experianced Pokemon than you there. Are you ready to fight Pokemon with more experiance than you?" The Elder looked down at Alvah. She was powerful yes but he had some doubts on if she would be able to take care of herself on this journey.

"I know I can Elder. I owe it to our clan to help the great Order" She said standing up again and looking straight at the old Pokemon. "I will return don't you worry Elder. I'll return victorious and ready to be a leader if needed" She said bowing a little again.

"Then go child. If you are sure your ready but take this" he said tossing her a small black bag. Inside was some gold, food, and a red and gold scarf. "I know nothing of this region of Argos, but the scarf is for if it gets cold" The Elder said with a small smile.

"T-Thank you Elder" ALvah said bowing at him "I'll make good use of this on my journey."

"I know you'll make us all proud, now go. You don't want to be late do you Alvah?"

"No of course not I don't know when I'll return but I will return Elder" Alvah said bowing as he bowed back and she turned walking out of the Elders hut in the Village not sayig a word to anyone else just nodding when they adressed her as she walked out of her home for the first time in her life, ready to start her adventure.

I had fun doing this. xD

Tennille Nakumi
The Region of Argos

The locals at the Region of Argos were busily, yet steadily treading and wavering past the street blocks. As the day grew brighter, there was one citizen who stuck out; one in a black rope with a top silk hat. He appeared skinny, yet muscular to the citizens walking past him, as the stranger didn't care to notice them. Then the stranger stopped. He was on top of a hill on where he could then see a building. A rectangular building.

"So, that's it, huh..." he said to himself, observing the building.

The building was seemed to be a gym; where a variety of fighting pokemon, as well as certain pokemon with great fighting abilities were seen exiting and entering. The mysterious stranger started walking again, all the way towards the gym. The pokemon around gazed towards the stranger as he then entered. When he entered, he noticed that a variety of pokemon were working out at the different machinery. He gazed left and right, until he saw another pokemon; one that was repeatedly punching the punching bag several times. The punching seemed to have caught the strangers eye the most; so he decided to walk towards that certain pokemon. When he approached said pokemon, the pokemon didn't notice him, as it continued to work out. The pokemon in question was colored brown with accentuations of cream on its horn-like ears and belly, with black on the helmet-like patch on its head. It has red irises, fangs protruding from its upper jaw, epaulette-like patches on its shoulders, and square patches on its legs. It also has various ridges and patches down its back and two spikes on its tail.

The pokemon suddenly stopped punching the bag, taking a break. It still didn't seem to notice the stranger as it went back to working out. "Want something?" it suddenly asked. It would seem that it noticed the stranger after all.

"I'm here to see..." the stranger asked. "...The intercontinental boxing champion."

The pokemon suddenly stopped. It then finally turned towards the stranger and stared at him with its fiery-red eyes. "And what business do you have with them?" it asked. The stranger then quickly took of the robe and top hat it was wearing, finally revealing his identity.

"My name is Hitmonchan," he said while gazing back towards the pokemon. "I've travelled to country to country, here at last... to defeat him in a match!"

The pokemon then quickly chuckled at the Hitmonchan's resolve. "Sorry, that's not possible." it explained.

"And why ever not?!" the Hitmonchan said.

"For two reasons," the pokemon started again. "For one thing, about the
intercontinental boxing champion, he's a she."

"A-a-a female?!" the Hitmonchan asked in outburst. "A female...But how...how is this poss-- "

"And one more reason," the pokemon interuptted. "That so called
intercontinental boxing champion? That would be...me."

"WHA -- WHA -- WHA -- "

"Tennille Nakumi the Kangashkan!" she said introducing herself. "Ya'll should know that despite title... I can make a mean pie. Cherry pie."

"I DON'T BELIEVE THIS!" the Hitmonchan said in rage. "The champion!! He...she... whatever! They were undefeated!"

"Still am!" Tennile chuckled. "11 years in my career, and still, this sista' doesn't know how to lose."

"But..but...BUT!!!" Hitmonchan roused. "I...I traveled all over the world and thought -- "

"Thought nothin'!" Tennille smirked. "Cause baby: in the ring, I
look like a piece of GOOD GOD wrapped up in some HAVE MERCY with a side of UHHHHHHGGG!"

"Fine!" Hitmonchan announced. "Tennille! I challenge you to a match! And I swear to you -- I SHALL PREVAIL!"

"Ohoho, that's right...you wanted to challenge the champion!" Tennille chuckled. "To help ya out, ya'll should know that this Kangashkan has a deep fear. A fear that no one in the history of the world knows about. A fear that is jenville...outraged...SACRED...EVIL!! FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL ITSELF!!!"

"What can that possibly be?"

"Spiders."

"SPIIIIIIDEEEEEEEERRRRRRSSSSS?!?!?"

"Yup, this sista' can't stand the sight of those eight legged fiends. When I see one...it gun get got."

"Your...serious?" Hitmonchan asked.

"Haha! Nooooooo!" Tennille laughed. "I actually love spiders! Anyhow, while I love to, this sista's got other plans."

"Like...?"

"Well," Tennile started. "I've got a score to settle with this Heracross; he posted my hot, hot picture o nwhere I went to this beach somewhere, y'know. Hm... y'know,
I think I've seen the picture somewhere before... oh yeah thats right! It was in the dictionary next to KABLAAAYYM!"

"Um..."

"Haha, no I'm funnin'," Tennile scuffed. "I just gotta be at this... tournament downtown. I passed the try-outs, and uh...yeah! It gun be happy happy fun!"

"But... I traveled -- "

"Oh, don't you worry about that now, my brother!" Tennile said. "I promise, when its all finished and all that, I'm gonna give ya the best match you can ever hope for, you dig? Anyhow, chao, this sista's gotta be headin' out now." Tennille got her gym bag, and put on her white scarf. She headed out the door, with the Hitmonchan still trying to grasp on what just happened.

"Oh! I guess I outta show you..." Tennile suddenly blurted out, heading
back towards the punching bag. "What ya'll are up against!"

The Hitmonchan didn't understand at first, as Tennille then quickle clenched her right paw into a fist, then performed a Fire Punch towards the bag. The bag burst upon impact, and there was then a milestone of the fluff packaging that was inside the punching bag, which flew all over the gym, raining down on the different pokemon. Hitmonchan was suprised on Tennille's overall power and control. Even before getting contact towards the bag, the Fire Punch seemed to be powerful -- it radiated the whole room. Tennille, however, winked towards the Hitmonchan, probably to keep him on notice, and exited out the door.

Tennille was just a middle aged Kangaskan, with ambitions and dreams only she could carry and create for herself. She was a boxing champ for about 11 years, undefeated and widely known for her punching moves. Her signature move was the move Dizzy Punch; a move that was rumored to be so powerful that even a induced romantic robot itself would get confused. Tennille still wondered how that rumor came about. Tennille carried her gym bag over her spiky back, as she then gazed upon where the tournament ceramony was going to be held; the Spire. She smiled, as she always loved a good challenge. Dark, tall things as well, but mostly the challenge part.

"Watch out hunnies..." Tennille said to herself. "Last person who called this sista' an weak old pokemon, I then called him a hospital." With that, Tennille made her way towards the Spire.

Also with that, came the story of Tennille... the non-parent Kangashkan.

Lorenzo burst out to see the beautiful city of Abel before him.

"Ahahaha!" He laughed as he flew out of the caravan.

"The caravan should probably turn back from here. We can walk the rest of the way." Zachary said coming out of the caravan aswell.

"Yes all the better my friend!" Lorenzo said swooping down to face the skarmory.

"On a day such as this walking, or for some of us flying, would be much better for the mind and the body, no?"

He swooped down and began to circle Nova and Caitlyn.

"Besides how could walking trouble any of us, when we have these beautiful ladies to keep us company, would you not agree?" Lorenzo raised his eyebrows a smirk on his face, he then swooped back into the sky a smile on his face.

He felt the sea breeze brush across his face and his grin grew larger, he saw a large, quite intimidating spike sitting menacingly.

"Hey everyone, I believe I may have found the location of the tournament." Lorenzo said winking at the others.

Lorenzo decided to show off a bit and began to circle the rest of the group from the air, preforming various tricks as he went.

"Come now, we must hurry no?" He said.

"I would like to see what exactly this ominous spike looks like from the inside!" He finished winking again.

He swooped down low and began to fly beside his allies. He was actually quite worried about the kings safety and assumed that his newfound allies were also feeling this way. He wondered how he was doing at that moment. He remembered his life as a young courier and his rigorous training as an Emmisary, he remembered going into the city and enjoying a soothing cup of apple tea.

"Oh my... MY TEA!" He cried flying after the caravan, he returned five minutes later, the caravan hadn't drove too far, but it was still an exhausting flight.

He returned carrying a satchel filled with dried apples, apple seeds and tea leaves ground into a fine powder.

"Phew..." Lorenzo said. He smiled once again.

"That was a close one, yes? Without my tea to keep me going I may just go insane. Lucky I caught the caravan. However in actuality look has nothing to do with it, they don't call me "The speedster" for nothing" He finished, a cheeky smile on his face.

He flew low to the ground and kept with his allies as they approached the bustling city portside of Abel, and the dark tournament that would take place there.

Duchess Caitlyn Charporé
Kingdom of Tollen

The loud rattle from the caravans' wheels provided a monotone beat throughout the whole journey from Tollen. The Dark Tournament was held further to the west of the kingdom of Tollen. Just an hour ago, the Prince had reminded and briefed them on their motives for particpation. They had desperately needed to claim victory and the Ultimate Power for the sake of their king. Caitlyn took another observant gaze around the caravans as the vehicles slowed down to a somewhat rough brake for her. She recognized a few familiar faces: Lorenzo Aria, Nova the Espeon and Shiro a nobleman. Last but not least, there was the Skarmory going by the name Zachary. Caitlyn wasn't good with surnames, not usually bothering to remember them unless they belonged to high-ranking elites. The Duchess stifled a mild yawn into her scarf and an envoy ushered her out. She murmured a polite 'thank you' to the envoy who detached himself and tagged along with the rest. The males were having conversations as usual, nothing better to discuss for her so she detached herself from the group.

Stepping down onto the ground from the caravan, she looked up tentatively and started her scrutiny. She strode forwards, passed the gates of Abel. The city looked magnificent and totally unlike in the books. The streets were by far adequate in her own terms, and the ambiance seemed quite contrasting to the mysterious event that was taking place right smack in the heart of the region of Argos. The Spire, as it was titled and referred to as, in annals and books of factual general knowledge. It was only recently that the Cinccino had took the effort to read up on the places she would be traveling to and learn as much as she could to uphold her reputable intellect. Duchess Caitlyn sauntered down the roads heading towards the looming Spire, showing off all airs she manipulated around her with her chin tucked up. Several people in the crowds shifted their looks on her, some were of admiralty and fascination whilst some were just curious bewilderment. She took them all in, used to such mannerisms. She once wondered why people would gawk whenever royalty came onto their sight, but she now had much better things to think about. Just before the entrance of the darkly Spire, the Cinccino glared at the gargantuan structure that penetrated even through the ethers and possibly, quite near the heavens. That popped a thought about that greenish sky dragon but she deduced that that guy wouldn't be hanging around something that appeared to be able to collapse. Oh boo hoo, Rayquaza won't be around while I'm still here, toodly-doo. However, historical facts proved her doubts wrong when it was stated that no earthquake could disrupted the stability of the Spire and it was as if under certain magical protection or something to the like.

Before Caitlyn Charporé ventured into the interiors of the Spire, and of course, the Dark Tournament, she strutted down to the markets hoping to get a swift munch before entering the competition. "Wouldn't the tournament be wondrous? I hope it won't be as boring as duelling those old geezers back home. I think I will try not to yawn as much as I can, but sometimes I just cannot help it!" She muttered to herself, with a little giggle at the end of her words as she walked down the streets of the marketplace, her two fluffy white streams of fur swaying to and fro spontaneously. The aristocratic chinchilla passed by food stalls and there was the heavy aroma of cooking in the air. Honey apples, pecan chocolates, high-rising muffins and lovely-looking fruits cakes with slices of Aspear, Bluk and Chople with a swirling cream on top. She finally came to a stop at a stall selling an array of delights and fruits. The Cinccino nosed around a batch of apples, fussily picking the most delicious and then adding a Pecha shortcake and a satchel of Gold, Silver and Pink Gummis before producing her payment for the selected merchandise. Whilst she stuff her groceries into her furred pockets, her tail withdrew half a dozen of galleon coins from her bloated purse and slapped them onto the store counter. The shopkeeper, a Quagsire, with his assistant, a Cherrim both dropped their jaws at the glittering set of coins minted in Tollen. The golden coins radiated a scintillating indigo aura as the goldsmiths in Tollen were of class and the work of their diligence brought out the purity and magic of these coins. Caitlyn had already worked the currency exchange long before the topic of the tournament was brought up. Just one galleon Tollen coin was worth about a hundred more or less in Argos. You could say that this duchess was very loaded, and still, she was not even afraid of anything uncouth. That was one of the few reasons the Prince summoned her. Caitlyn could deal with a robber or snotty misbehaving pickpocket anytime and, more ideally, anywhere.

The Cinccino turned on her heels, pausing once at a refreshments shop to purchase an ice lolly and also stunning the keepers momentarily with the beauties of Tollen and then made her route back to the Spire. She was sucking and sipping her ice lolly by the time she was at the main entrance of the Spire. Suddenly, an outburst of noise started out from behind her and turning back, the blue-blooded chinchilla eyed a Yanmega buzzing away with hoards of goods in its six legs of an insect. Behind it, were two very furious and irked shopkeepers - A Grumpig and a Swalot.

"He stole my merchandise! Someone, get that shoplifter!"

"Help help!! Thief! Robber!! Catch that Yanmega!"

Instantly, Caitlyn was hot on the Yanmega's heels, or wings to be precise. She leaped and for a split second, had a hold on the dragonfly's end but she slipped off and rebounded back, before continuing her pursue. She ingested two whole apples, gulping down the fruity segments, leaving the core and seed in her mouth that was bulged at the cheeks. She inhaled strongly and then, released all the things in her mouth. The seeds and core and whatever that was left fired at the Yanmega and pelted his back. The sudden attack from behind made him lost his flight control and dropping several of the goods. She hurried onto him, hopping past the goods which were joyfully claimed by the keepers shuffling behind.

The Yanmega buzzed sideways, trying to shake her off by doing a zigzag chase. She was not going to fall for it and she started to attack again. Cloaked in wet dark fur, she hoisted her damp tail high up and just as she bounced right behind the dark green dragonfly, Caitlyn slammed the wavy tail onto the insect's abdomen and the ripples of water vibrated the Yanmega. He lost hold of his stolen goods and was knocked to the ground, grunting and cursing under his breath. It was then the duchess realized why the purse was not much of a challenge. He was exhausted and hungry, the wings were stained with mud and grime and his tinted eyes were bleary and dim. He was in a state of a beggar's and had no choice but to resort to thievery and stealing. She frowned for a moment and the two keepers rushed over, retrieving their items. The Grumpig and Swalot seemed to not have noticed the Yanmega and whisked back towards their shops to resume their hectic business.

"Here, take it. I've lots of them. Eat it." Duchess Caitlyn Charporé placed a large yummy apple in front of the lying winged insect. The Yanmega obliged and deftly munched the fruit whole. The Cinccino suddenly remembered the Dark Tournament and huffed back to the Spire while everyone who witnessed the exciting chase. The crowds dispersed with ripples of awed and touched murmurs and not soon after, the marketplace was back to its hive of activity.

Hydra

Hydrulon Rex, the third founder of the Order Of Alcantus, set his sights upon what was now known as the port city of Abel. The first thing he noticed was the giant spike known as the Spire. It was here that the opening ceremonies would commence.
The next thing Hydra noticed was the enourmous amounts of people that were squabbling around this city. Quite many of them would be dead when the Order took over, and Hydra knew that Regigigas, the mysterious Zion and the two others behind him were thinking exactly the same thing.

"We're at the city." Regigigas bellowed, as he looked behind him to examine the only two members that had gone for the tournament. Hydra did the same, looking closely at the choices.
One was a Roselia named Alvah Cavan, and the other was a Gengar named Azar Polterus. While Polterus looked like a nice choice to take, Cavan would surely not survive because of her Not-fully-evolved status. Either way, this was what Hydra would be working with, and for the sake of the order, he hoped they were good combatants.

"Hydra, you should lead the others into the city and towards the Spire to participate in the opening ceremonies. It...would be better if I wouldn't be there, might attract too much attention." Regigigas said in his booming voice. It was true, a behemoth such as himself would attract too much attention. "Very well." Hydra said, just in time to hear Zion say
"I'll go with you as well." in his very own booming voice. Hydra and Regigigas nodded. Hydra would ask the giant whether or not he would participate in the tournament, but right now other things mattered.
Hydra looked behind him to see the two members. "Alright, you two. Follow us." he said, as he and Zion started walking toward the giant Spire.

While walking, Hydra took a glance at his own metal head. After these two years, it had not started to rust up. Indeed Hydra's design was a good one. The head easily obeyed him and did everything he needed it to. His other head, however, rarely spoke. His only natural head, that is. It was not used to this mechanical head, as the two side heads were connected in ways. The only downside for Hydra was the fact that his metalic head couldn't launch moves. He'd been working with a team of mechanics to amplify this, and double the power of the moves that Hydra's metal head produced, but to no avail.

After this trip down memory lane, Hydra realized that the four were nearing the Spire. It was even bigger from up close, it was so big that the tip escaped Hydra's eyesight. "We are here, Order." Hydra said, referring to the two Pokemon behind him. Frankly, he was unimpressed by the amount of Pokemon they had taken with them. Only two members would participate in the tournament, adding Hydra that made three. Hydra was unsure whether or not Regigigas would enter, and he doubted Zion would, for fear he accidentally revealed his identity. That cloak could easily be torn off, but Hydra was not about to dishonour the Pokemon who had found him, simply because he wanted his identity.

Above all, Hydra could not wait to kill some Gold Tribe fodder. As they would probably be here to protect their pathetic land. Now that The Order Of Alcantus had found out about new lands, the Alpha Alliance meant nothing.
----------------------------------------------------

Vincent

Vincent Paine, Stingfist, stared at the beautiful ship he was about to enter. It had Gold Sails, and was adorned with wondrous gold on its sides. No sea fodder had ever even considered sticking to the mighty vessel. When he finally snapped out of it, he realized that everyone was already on board. Stingfist quickly rushed on with the others and they set sail.

Two weeks was a long period of time, and some of the Gold Tribe members on the ship knew Stingfist all too well. They'd prepared a medium-sized punching bag for Stingfist to practice with. Unfortunately, it was soon utterly destroyed, so Stingfist had nothing to hit. Soon, he came up with a plan.
Stored on the ship were a certain amount of bags containing wheat. These worked as great punching bags as long as Stingfist didn't use his..well...fists. As they happened to have stings on them. So, Stingfist kicked wheat bags for pretty much the whole journey. He knew some of the Gold Tribe members, one of which was Toro Blaze, the "Bellator", he'd gotten to know the Blaziken over the weeks between his arrival and now. The poor guy had lost his parents to the Order Of Neoverse two years ago. Aside from Kaiser, however, most of the others were totally unknown to him.

There was a Dragonair named Dusklore, Ambrosia Dusklore. Apparently, she was the adopted daughter of Burstborn, a member who had fought alongside Stingfist's mentor; Stormseeker those two years before. Unfortunately, Stingfist and Stormseeker didn't get along so well since Jack's, or Fakefire's, accident. Stingfist and Stormseeker had blamed each other, but now Stingfist realized it was his fault for sending those Mandibuzz flying in Fakefire's direction. Since then, he'd vowed to somehow undo what had been done, and this tournament was the chance to fulfill that vow.
The person who especially hated the Toxicroak for this was Fakefire's girlfriend, a Luxray by the name of Adelle, and also Stormseeker's own daughter.

Next, there was Genko, or "Spirit" as he was titled. Spirit was a very strange Ledian, possibly a rumoured "Albino" Pokemon. Aside from his white colour, he also was missing two arms, Stingfist was no expert on all types of Pokemon, but he knew that Ledian were supposed to have four arms.
The Toxicroak guessed that Spirit was a suiting title for him because of his white colour.

Then there was a Ditto, whom Stingfist unfortunately knew nothing about.

The last member besides the Kaiser was an Absol named Silver, or rather, Vesica Argentum. All Stingfist knew about this character was that he had a strange title and that he had taken part in the final battle two years ago. He admired Argentum, as he referred to him, not remembering his full title, for his bravery to come on another quest to save the realm, after already haven taken part in one two years ago.

And that was it aside from the various crewmen to manage the boat.
---------------------------------
Quite some time later, as in two weeks, Stingfist and the Gold Tribe arrived in a port city known as Abel. "For a port city, this place is huge." Stingfist thought to himself as he walked out of the ship. It was true, the place looked more like a bustling modern city than a port one.
Kaiser then turned around toward his fellow Gold Tribe members and said
"Gold Tribe, the invitation said to make our way toward the giant spike know here as the Spire. That's where the opening ceremony will be held. Let's get moving."
The Kaiser then started walking toward the Spire, and the rest of the Gold Tribe members started following him. Only Stingfist stayed behind for a moment. He thought about what he'd done to his friend because of his stupid fighting fenzy. Fakefire was unable to walk now, and it was his fault. "I'm sorry, pal. This one's for you." the Toxicroak muttered to himself, as he started walking with the others.

Silver stared at the large expanse of shining water that stretched out before them that was the sea. He enjoyed the pleasent, but not strong, breeze that propelled them forward in their magnificent ship, which skipped over the waves like a stone skipped along calm water. The spray from the waves showered his face in a salty mist, and the wind blew through his fur. He loved the sea.

Silver, or Vesica Argentum as he was now called (Vesica for short), got up and padded along the length of the ship, feeling the warm sun on his back. He took in the half dozen Gold Tribe members that were coming along to the Dark Tournament.

Of course there was Kaiser, the leader of Gold Tribe, along. Silver trusted his life with Kaiser, and he was probobly most comfertable speaking with him out of anyone on the ship.

There was also a Ditto, who seemed to never forget anything, or at least, forget very little. Well, as long as he doesn't replicate me. He thought to himself. Then again, the Ditto probobly would.

Then there was Ambrosium, a young and pretty Dragonaire, who was brought up by a friend of his. He didn't know what to think of her quite yet, although he knew that Kaiser would not have brought her along if he didn't trust and respect her.

Then there was a strong looking Toxicroak by the name of Stingfist. Silver had never met Stingfist before, and did not trust him entirely. Then again, Silver didn't trust that many pokemon.

There was also a Genko, who Silver did not know the name of. Again, silver had never met him before, and felt a little uneasy around him, but he was sure that he could come to trust him eventually.

Then there was a Blazikan known as Bellator. Silver felt good about him. He had talked to him a couple times, and already came to trust him to some degree. Silver had noticed that some pokemon you feel like you can trust, and he seemed like one of these.

Silver settled down for a quick nap. He had been told by a sailor that they would be there in a few hours, so he would try to get as much sleep as possible before they got there.

He awoke to hear one of the sailors calling, "Anchor in! Land approached!"

He sat up and stared at the strange new land in front of him. Silver knew that they were supposed to go to the spire, and set off behind Kaiser and the rest of the Gold Tribe members. As he looked up at the spire, he already had a bad feeling about it. Just as he had a bad feeling when he first had heard the name of the tournament, the Dark Tournament.

YAY! My life has purpose again in writting for an RP. God, my life is busy though. Anyway, lets get this thing started!

NOVA THE ESPEON
Kingdom of Tollen

Riding through the caravan, Nova looked through the window, the landscape in her view disappearing into new. Her dreams were finally going to come true. Fighting for her Kingdom, even for the King himself, Reylas. The only negative side she could find was the fact the others seemed to have their doubts about the small Espeon. Although she hadn't met any of the fellow fighters, none appeared to know much about her either. The only pokemon she had much knowledge of was the Cinccino, who looked to be eyeballing her with interest. Shiro Jinkio, as Nova knew the name by heart. The fluffy pokemon did not appear to be much of fighter, though they came from a noble family, as she was referred to as a Duchess.

The espeon only found doubts in the Emolga, who's name escaped her. The pokemon appeared...young? Inexperienced? Nova could easily realize the same could be mentioned for herself, however, it seemed as if the Emolga only had speed as his main strength. Speed would never by enough to take down opponents in a tournament, as Nova knew. His size and structure was also quite small. She'd judge him later on, once the real fighting began. The same would be for the other competitors, who she had yet to learn about.

Their vehicle coming to a halt, Nova allowed the Emolga and Dutchess to exit first, the flying squirrel dashing out the second the door opened. He muttered something out while circling them before dashing back into the skies. The Espeon secretly disliked being in lower ranks compared to the others. After all, she had only been able to join since the Prince offered her the chance to fight. Although she took it, the thought of feeling weaker than the rest made her drastically uneasy. The mysterious black Espeon followed out with a fake smile, her vibrant red gem glimmering in greeting to the reflecting bright sun. From ahead, a large cone shaped around the city, its structure humongous and hard. It lead to a glimmering point.

A breeze from the ocean sprayed the Espeon, changing her view to the several ships that were docking. She couldn't tell the difference between possible competitors or bystanders, though some of the pokemon walking out from each ship appeared broad. Her black fur was creeping on edge, but Nova easily let it settle, holding herself up high by looking down at each one. "You took down that Machamp. Hows that Tyranitar any different? That Absol? Zangoose? You can take them all down with a little courage, Nova. You can..." she thought to herself.

Insulting others wasn't her favorite way to make her feel strong, but being a silent bully was what she was best at. All those years, people had judged her by her own coloration. Some mentioning it, allowing the Espeon to spread her story about the death of her dearest sister. Nova only found her actions justified. If others couldn't accept it, they'd have to deal with her and let the silence linger. Walking forever towards the ominous spire, Nova let her feet carry her, as she was still in deep thought. Her creative brain allowed her to concentrate on the Psychic Power she held within. Releasing it would prove her strong.

"I'll be a hero. I will. For the King, and my sister..."

Toro Blaze
Gold Tribe

The ship was close to docking and Toro Blaze was on the opposite side of the ship, away from everyone else. Mixed thoughts were running through his brain, what lied ahead of the Gold Tribe. Who were they’re opponents? What is this Ultimate Power which was the prize for the winning team? It worried Toro that this tournament was so secretive. The name “The Dark Tournament” was the first tip that led him to believe there is something more to this.

The ship finally docked. Toro watched as everyone jumped off the ship and into the port city of Abel. Toro followed the Gold Tribe off the ship and onto the dock.

Toro looked over to his Tribe. These were people who he didn’t know very well, but trusted them no matter how much they angered him. Speaking of people angering him, the first person who caught Toro’s eye was our leader, Kent Reed. The worst thing was he was the son of the former leader of the Gold Tribe, the same one who called Toro weak. Toro didn’t have much of a problem with Kent, but when he talked about his father with a glorious tone, it frustrated Toro to the point of breaking his calm.

FLASHBACK

“The Gold Tribe is not a place for the weak young one. Join us when you become stronger,” the leader of the Gold Tribe spoke with a caring yet stern tone before walking back inside his home.

The words stung Toro hard. Being told he was weak was something he had heard many times. But to hear it from the leader of the Gold Tribe, the same leader who has protected the people of the Alpha Alliance and the same leader who Toro had looked up to since he could remember. It was like an emotional stab from a knife.

END OF FLASHBACK

The first thing that caught Toro’s eye was a giant pillar in the shape of a spike. It appeared as if it reached into space and it was instantly recognizable.

“The Spire,” Toro whispered as he recognized the building from the description given to us in our invitation to the tournament.

The Gold Tribe’s ship was one that drew some attention which we didn’t ask for or want for that matter. The people of Argos all watched the ship in amazement and admiration as the Gold Tribe stood in front of it.

“Gold Tribe, the invitation said to make our way toward the giant spike known here as the Spire. That’s where the opening ceremony will be held. Let’s get moving,” Kent explained as he started walking towards the Spire.

Toro opened both of his hands wide and made flames emerge from his wrists.

Let’s do this, Toro thought as he followed the rest of the Gold Tribe.

Azar Polterus

Azar watched as he and the rest of the Order, Regigigas, Hydra, Zion and Alvah arrived at the port City of Abel. Azar guessed that he along with Alvah would have to do most of the fighting. A lot of people here, Azar thought, let's see who's day I can darken. Azar listened as the others discussed about who would go and who would stay. After the discussion, Azar was ordered to follow Hydra and Zion, along with Alvah. It seemed that Hydra was focused on something, so Azar looked for some mischief. He saw a Machoke loading crates onto a Lapras, so Azar hid in the Machoke's shadow and knocked the crate over. Deciding that the Machoke's anger was not enough, Azar proceeded to knock the Machoke into the water, the Pokemon splashing and struggling to get out of the water. Azar darted back to the others, leaving the Machoke in the water. This should be fun, Azar thought, with a smirk on his face. Azar kept waling with the group, always keeping an eye out for some entertainment. Azar found himself somewhat excited for the Tournament, such opportunity for trickery and mischief. But, Azar knew that more than trickery was required to win, so he came prepared. Before he even knew it, Azar was nearing the Spire. The large rock formation looked even grander close up. The silence amongst the group was broken by Hydra's voice,

"We are here, Order." Azar looked up to the peak of the tower, which he could not see from the ground. Climbing up should be fun, Azar sarcastically pondered.

When the caravan stopped the Dewott stopped plucking on his Biwa and prepared to depart the caravan. He put on his ceremonial armor (he was going out in public and needed to give the best impression of House Jinkiro he could), packed a few supplies, and finally put the finely crafted Biwa ,made from the finest wood and decorated with gold and silver, on his back. The Biwa was decorated with an image of the legend of the great Hiro Jinkiro the founder of the house who single handedly held off an army of a hundred enemy soldiers in order to save the king. The image itself showed the great Samurott standing on a hill clad in gold facing an army of faceless silver soldiers.

Gracefully jumping from the caravan the Dewott gave the head of the caravan a gold coin while saying, “Thank you for the safe journey, and may fortune smile upon your house.” The pokemon gave a deep bow to the noble and the Dewott responded in kind. He then turned and walked toward the city. He disliked the trip and being out of his palace. He had never been away from the many commodities associated with his position, and he definitely missed them. However Shiro would not show this discomfort though since it meant showing a sign of weakness. So he turned his focus on something else to distract himself from his discomfort.

Shiro looked over his fellow champions of Tollen and went over in his head what he knew about them. The Prince had chosen all of them for this Tournament so they must have been good fighters like himself. He watched the Emolga as the electric pokemon flew around. Out of all of the members of the group this one was perhaps the biggest threat due to him being an electrical pokemon. Thing was he didn’t give out an aura of a grand fighter, and perhaps this meant Shiro could defeat him using superior tactics and skill.

The dark furred Espeon was a mystery to Shiro she claimed she wanted to help the King from the illness because her sister died from it, but he questioned her motives. If she could have any wish what would stop her from reviving her sister instead of saving the king? Well that didn’t matter, Shiro would not lose to her if they had to battle. She, like the Emolga, was of a lower class and he would NOT be dishonored by being defeated by someone of such a low rank.

The Duchess Shiro had heard much about. Despite being a Politian rumors had it she was a great fighter. Shiro didn’t care for politics much, but he did look forward to see how many of these rumors about the Duchess were true and what was made up. He would have to tread carefully around her because most likely if he made any mistakes around her she would be quick to use it against him like all politicians seem to do.

The Skarmory was the one Shiro could relate the most to. He was also a noble and a knight of the kingdom. Of all of his fellow Trollin companions he looked forward to battle him the most. In his mind he already imagined it as a grand fight that would bring great honor to his name when he came out victorious.

Shiro soon reached the city and he wanted to look at the architecture and discover the legends of the people who lived here, but he knew he such things should wait. He needed to first see who his enemies would be from the other nations and see if he could discover anything about them. Knowing about ones foes can be the difference between victory and defeat. Shiro could not fail… he could not be defeated. If he did he would be dishonored and he might even taint the great Jinkiro name for future generations. That was unacceptable to Shiro victory would be the only option.

Walking to where he could see the incoming ships Shiro looked out among them and watched as many other pokemon disembarked from the vessels. He tried to figure out who would be in the tournament, and who was there to watch but he was unable to tell. With so many pokemon, Shiro doubted he would be able to get the information he wanted on any possible rival. Shiro scowled a little as the fear of failure entered his mind again. Just then he noticed Nova also looking out at the ships. Moving closer to the Espeon he addressed her with a voice that both talked down on the lower ranked Pokemon but still carried a polite tone to it, “Espeon, do you happen to know which of these many Pokemon we will be defeating for the honor of Trollen and our king?”

Annabell Grace

Anna ran back into the busy streets of Abel, as fast as her little legs could carry her. Once she was sure she had disappeared from sight of them, she stopped running. Anna stopped moving for a moment to get her breath back, one of her paws on her chest. After she regained her breath Anna started to walk, staring at the ground. Tears stung at her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. Anna was already pityed enough for being a 'beggar'. She didn't need to be for weeping in public. Once Anna had let a couple slid out without realising it and it seemed to make Pokemon give more. But Anna didn't want to use that to fool anybody. She hated having to do it on a regular bases. Anna tried to push those thoughts away by trying to think of other thoughts. But the stung from her cheeks kept bringing her back to the present.

"Stupid...They should do it themselves..." Anna mumbled as she walked through the crowd, her head still down. Which meant she wasn't watching where she was going and Anna ran into someone. From the force of the impact Anna fell down, landing on her bottom. The Pokemon she ran into was still standing.

"Watch where you're going you little brat!" A Machoke said angerily shaking his six fists at her. Anna didn't dare move, she just stared up at the Machoke's angry face. The Machoke didn't even give her time to speak for herself. He just gave her a disgusted 'tsk' and walked away like nothing had happened.

"Well, isn't someone high and mighty." Anna remarked to herself as she got to her feet. She brushed the dirt off of herself and looked around at the crowd of Pokemon moving around her. Anna had learned that a lot of Pokemon here were like that and she'd only lived her for a week and a half. Strike liked moving place-to-place before anybody learnt of his game. But Anna was tired of moving place to place, sure it was nice to see the world. One of the reasons she left home, but they didn't stay in one place for too long. Anna could never make friends, which is what she wanted. Though, most eleven year-olds wanted that, but not many would be friends with a beggar. As for Anna, she wasn't a beggar right now. She had already done that. A nice elderly Ledian couple had given her a couple coins. It hadn't been much, but Anna had appreciated it. Even if Strike had not. Anna's cheeks stung violently at the meer thought of it.

Anna forced herself to look at the crowd again. At the happy faces, most didn't notice her, or chose to pretend that hadn't. Anna could see the entrance to Abel. When she could, she loved going to the dock and watching ships leave or dock. Anyways, Anna couldn't see the new arrivals since she was too far away, but she had heard of them. There had been news that traveled around the city for the past couple days. Anna had only heard a little of some. She knew the Gold Tribe of the Alpha Alliance was coming. They were coming from boats and had been said to have saved the Alpha Alliance two years ago from a group called The Order of Neoverse. Then there was the group from the Kingdom of Tollen, which was said to be hand picked by the prince himself. Hardly anything was known about the King's illness, which is probably what the royals wanted. The other group, The Order of Alcantus, was a mystery.

Anna was pushed out of her thoughts by a familiar voice. "Hello Annabell."

Anna looked to the side of her and wasn't surprised to see a Noctowl standing beside her. She'd seen this Noctowl a couple times during the day, it was unlike other Noctowls. And unlike most of the Pokemon Anna usually meets. This Noctowl, Yoru, had met her while she was acting like a beggar. Instead of giving her food or money Yoru had invited her to have tea with him in his home. Anna had went, even though she had been suspicious. Yoru is a kind hearted Pokemon, almost like a grandfather who hugs you like he hasn't seen you for years. And the kind that would share his food with someone just because they looked hungry. "Hello Yoru."

"If you aren't busy, please join me for tea." Yoru said as he tilted his head a little to the side. "I see the competitors for the Dark Tournament have shown up. It should be intresting to see the outcome of this tournament." Anna was still looking at Yoru as she listened to him speak. Yes, the Dark Tournament was a mystery and the outcome is certainly unknown with all the great fighters that have come, all for their own purpose(s). Anna opened her mouth to protest, but couldn't when she looked into his eyes. The tired eyes of a Pokemon who just wanted a couple more happy moments before he left for good. "Good. Good, follow me." Yoru said starting to walk. It would have been easier for him to fly instead of using his taloned feet to walk and having his wings pinned to his sides. But he didn't, to make it easier for Anna to follow. Anna followed him in silence.

Here Goes...

******************

Ambrosia looked at the eyes of her father. A tear dripped from his eyes, the dragon portion of his face. He wasn't happy with her decision to come on such a scary mission. Scary. That's how she would have put it. He would have said something along the lines of "full of demise". She was frightened, but she decided to take this chance. Ever since the death of a family friend, Burstborn had looked at her through different eyes. Slick. She had met her a few times, each time she could tell she was weak. Her real name, Millicent, was recognized by few. Ambrosia had truly enjoyed her company, she made her feel like family.

She looked around for any sign of Mr. Ambros. In the end, she settled upon the idea that he hadn't come. She liked him. He made her feel her age, even with the strange time warp. She looked at her father as he came in, pecked her cheek, and walked away. He stopped a few feet away and whispered, "I know you'll be great."

Holding back her own share of tears, she took the words to heart. She stood to prove her worth. The trip began a few minutes later. She looked around at her fellow members. A ditto? She had never met a Ditto before, and from what she had heard they were very useful in battle. She stayed where she was sitting, her shyness too strong to overcome. She took out the small chain she had been given by Slick. It was a simple gold chain with a pattern of intersecting hoops. On the end, however, was a bright red gem. It reflected the light off the sun and its beauty was stunning. Many had said it was Slick reincarnated, but, she preferred to leave the dead where they were. Remembered fondly. She looked further through the boat.

The leader was the "Kaiser". Her father had helped finish a dangerous foe alongside him. Apparently, they once were intense enemies. Her father had mentioned his reluctance to accept him into the Alpha Alliance, but soon, they became friends. She looked at the Zangoose with worthy eyes. He was truly one of her heroes. He lived up to his father's name, a goal that seemed to be steadily moving away from her. She began to spin the chain around her tail. As it turned, it 's red gem guided her to the birthmark. She hadn't seen it until the time warp had begun. She had no idea why it was there and she cursed it. She had attempted to cut it off, but as soon as the skin was cut, it grew back. It was as if time had sped up her healing. No matter. Hopefully, she would be done with this time warp once the mission was over.

The first few nights were difficult. She had never been away from home and her father. She felt so... vulnerable. She could be attack right then. It wasn't impossible, it had happened before. Don't think of such troubling things. You'll do fine. You'll do fine. You'll do... and like that she wandered off to sleep. For a week, this was the only way to calm her overactive nerves. In the morning, she would slip on her chain and slide onto the deck. Then she would just stare at the Sun, wishing that at one point, she would fly there. It's warmth bathed her in sincerity and comfort, making this venture that much less troubling. Sure, at points they overwhelmed her...but she believed in herself, not too much, be enough to get her through the day. The seas rocked the ship back and forth over the course of the next three nights. At some points she found herself curled up next to her small bear, remembering when she had no care in the world. Then, the feeling of spiraling out of her youth and into teenage years brought depression. She rocked in harmony to the ship, her bed creaking to the same rhythm, and she'd sing.

You hold the key, just listen to me. And please, my dear, don't cry.
Greater than you seem, just close your eyes and dream. I will be at your side.

The day the ship made an abrupt stop, she shot out of her bed and darted to the deck. There, she saw it. Argos. It was so beautiful, a nice town by the shining sea. How could it be home to such a dark tournament. Even with the grandeur all around her, she found herself staring at a spike. It pulsed some kind of energy to her, telling her to stay back. She looked down and tried to look away from it, not giving into its tempting calls. She slithered along the Zangoose as they began to move towards the Spike, it was called. It was crude, but appropriate for the building in front of her. She took a deep breath and waited for her next order, keeping close to her heart her father and Slick.

(OOC: A bit short of course, but I need to get this up. And I made it 500 words exactly, so, that's cool. ^_^)

Damian sat on the edge of town, his feet dangling off a concrete ledge, his fat rolls falling over the sides with them. He was hungry, again. Since he was in Abel, this usually wouldn’t have been a big problem – except for that there were people all over, and he was very tired. Tired and hungry. Not a good combination.

Luckily, he had found a small area of beach to rest on, where he could be mostly alone. The rest of the town was off preparing for the tournament, which was starting very soon. All day long more and more people had been arriving by ship. More people to deal with. He had been checking out the competition, and although he hated to admit it, there was some pretty fierce looking Pokemon here. But he would knock them all down, for sure.

‘For my brother,’ Damian thought, and a wave of sadness crashed over him. He tried to think about it that way as little as possible. Let his brother’s memory fuel him, not crush him. He was an old man, but he wasn’t going anywhere. Yet.

Damian floated upwards, flipping in the air, his fat making unattractive ripples in the sea breeze. The ceremony was soon, and he wasn’t allowed to miss it. It wasn’t like he could – practically the whole city would be there. But he was very tired…and could fall asleep soon if he didn’t do anything about. Food was what he needed. Which definitely wasn’t difficult in Abel.

The old Pokemon was making his way towards one of the city’s many bars when something hit the back of his head. Hearing giggling, he whipped his body around to face his attackers. They were a group of teenage Pokemon, finding trouble where they thought they could take the consequences. “Hey, old man! Might as well go home now…you haven’t got a chance!” one of them shouted, a mid-sized Pokemon called Monferno. His body couldn’t even compare to Damian’s bulk. These guys were all bark, and no bite.

“Oh, is that true?” Damian croaked, giving his best impression of an old, dying man. The group of teens laughed again, amused with their bullying.

“Totally!”one of them stupidly choked out between fits of laughter. “You’re such a cow you can’t even use your legs!” He gestured to Damian’s seemingly endless mound of skin. Damian sighed.

“Children,”he started, gathering up energy. It was very hard to focus on an empty stomach.“You do not need legs to get around.” With that, he threw the rascals into the air with his psychic powers. Looks of fear crossed the Pokemon’s faces, and they pleaded their apologies over and over. Too late. Damian hurled them into the nearby dumpster, fired a Water Pulse after them, and proceeded on his way to find the nearest restaurant.

‘Kids…who needs them? Sometimes I wish they’d all be like you had been. You never judged me,’ he thought, turning into The Golden Talon: Fine Food.

Gold Tribe

Kent Reed walked through the city streets. Many shot his group glances. Some were glances of intrigue and wonder. Others were of fear. It was very interesting. They probably didn't ever meet Pokemon dressed in gold, like they were, so they must not have known their intentions. He saw a baby Ratatta approach them, looking at them with eyes of wonder. Kent looked at it and smiled. The mother of the Ratatta quickly grabbed the little Pokemon and dragged it back to the side of the street. Kent looked at the mother. She was scared. Kent sighed, and continued to make his way to the Spire.

It was an enormous structure, and getting larger the closer we got to it. Suddenly, he noticed other groups of Pokemon going towards the same structure. Most of them were in groups around the same number as theirs. He concluded these were warriors from other lands, who were participating as well. But, Kent wondered, how many were there total?

He was sure he would soon find out. Kent made his way to the crowds that were now forming close to the Spire. It seemed like there were hundreds of people that would be watching, maybe thousands. This really was a tremendous event to be apart of.

Finally, he had made his way to the location right under the Spire. There were thousands of the citizens of Argos crowding around, murmuring excitedly, formed around the Spire in a circle. There were Pokemon in hoods formed around like a ring two prevent the citizens from passing forward. Inside that ring were other Pokemon, all quite tough looking, but also had seals of lands he didn't know, or armor of places he hadn't been. They must be warriors from other lands, who came to participate in the Tournament. Kent saw an opening where two hooded Pokemon stood to guard people from approaching these fighters. Kent walked toward them. He saw that one of the Pokemon was a Kabutops, and another was a Cranidos. These were both ancient Pokemon, Pokemon that weren't really seen around often, in fact, they should be extinct.

The hooded Kabutops spoke to Kent.

"Your invitation, please?" He asked, sticking out his claw. Kent gave him the letter he received. He looked over it and spoke.

"Ah, you must be from the Alpha Alliance. The Gold Tribe, right?" Kent nodded. "Please proceed and wait for the arrival of the others. The opening ceremonies will arrive once everyone is there." Kent looked over the Kabutops and asked him something.

"Who are you, exactly?"

The Kabutops smiled. "We are the Keepers of the Dark Tournament. We sponsor and control the event."

"But I thought the Region of Argos controls the event."

"No, they are only hosting it this time around. The Dark Tournament is in a different location every time. The Keepers control the tournament and make sure things run smoothly...and punish people who attempt to cheat or steal. We bring the Spire here to the place where the Tournament is to be held."

"Wait a minute...you brought this giant thing here? How?! It's enormous." Kent asked, intrigued. The Kabutops merely smiled and urged him into the inner circle.

"Please proceed inside." Kent looked at him, obvious he wasn't going to give an answer, and walked into the inner circle next to the others.

Kingdom of Tollen"Yes all the better my friend!" Lorenzo said swooping down to face the skarmory.

"On a day such as this walking, or for some of us flying, would be much better for the mind and the body, no?"

Zachary looked up at Lorenzo, who was flying around. He admired his enthusiasm, but felt he was attracting too much attention to himself and the others. But nevertheless, he ignored him and continued to make his way to The Spire. Zachary was about to protest when he saw the Duchess run off to the city streets, but he decided she would be able to handle herself, and walked with the others to the Spire.

He reached the Spire, and saw a line of tough-looking Pokemon make their way to the Spire location, where two hooded Pokemon took their invitations. He reached a Cranidos in a hood, and gave him the invitation.

"Emissaries of the Kingdom of Tollen, yes? Please step inside." The Pokemon in the hood said.

"My entire party isn't with me at the moment, should I wait for them?" Zachary asked.

"That won't be necessary. We will know who they are once they get here." Zachary looked at the hooded Pokemon curiously. How they heck will they know? He walked passed the Pokemon, eying him suspiciously as he passed. The inner circle was filled with warriors from all around. Some dressed rather strangely. He noticed a group who had gold emblems and materials around them. They must also be participating. Total, he estimated there were over 300 around here, and still more came. He wondered just how many would be here to take part. Many were in groups that numbered between 3-6. But some had were alone.

**************************************************

Region of
ArgosDerrick made his way through the crowd, pushing a few out of the way who didn't see him, or didn't move. But for the most part, they moved out of the way. They knew who he was.

He arrived in line with the others and gave his invitation silently to the Kabutops, who read it over and handed it back with a smile.

"Welcome to the Dark Tournament, Derrick Onkai."

Derrick brushed passed him and joined the others.

*******************************************

Order of Alcantus

Zion and the others made their way into the city. Zion spoke no words to the others. He simply made his way towards the Spire.

Upon reaching it, he gave their invitation to the hooded Pokemon. He then spoke for the first time.

"I will be replacing Regigigas as a fighter for the Order." The Kabutops looked over the hooded Pokemon, and nodded.

"Very well."

Zion rushed in with the others. The other fighters have been gathering here. He looked to the side, and tapped Hydra on the shoulder. He pointed to a group of Pokemon with golden insignias. The golden insignias they knew all too well.

"Gold Tribe. Best keep out of their way for now."

*********************************************

Gold Tribe, Kingdom of Tollen, Region of Argos, Order of Alcantus

The murmuring among all of the fighters and citizens that showed up to participate was suddenly stopped as an enormous Aerodactyl seemed to fly down from the clouds, as if it came from the very top of the Spire, beyond the end no one could see. It glided down to a halt right in front of the Spire, and in front of all of the contenders and citizens.

Kent made a mental note to himself about the Aerodactyl. If this was also a Keeper, it was another ancient Pokemon. The Aerodactyl spoke to everyone.

"Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament." The crowd around the Spire yelled and cheered.

"I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. The security for this tournament are the hooded Pokemon you see all around called the Keepers. You may speak with them later if you have any additional question about the tournament. I welcome all challengers from the distant lands to this grand event. For it is grand, an event that can shake the very foundations of life, or stabilize them completely." He paused for a moment, then continued.

"This year, there are exactly 510 fighters participating in the tournament. All competing, with their heart and souls to achieve the prize, the ultimate prize. The prize that all Pokemon want, but in the end, one, and only one can have: The Ultimate Power."

Excitement and whispers were all across. Zachary edged a bit closer to the Aerodactyl, he himself quite intrigued.

"I realize there are a lot of you who aren't very sure what it is the Ultimate Power really is. I am not here to reveal what it is. I am only here to say that it will be worth the fight, worth the danger. After all, over the many, many years that the tournament has been going on, many have died. Died trying to win it all. This tournament, may claim your life, but if it's for the ultimate prize, isn't it worth the risk? Imagine your greatest hope, your greatest aspiration, and then imagine the Ultimate Power."

Pokemon all across were talking excitedly amongst themselves.

"Now then, on to the rules of the Tournament. They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules:

Rule 1: You lose when you are knocked out, killed, forfeit or unable to continue fighting, unless the round calls for something different.
Rule 2: If it is your turn to fight, and you do not make your appearance within a given amount of time, you are automatically disqualified from the tournament.
Rule 3: Any extra weapons or such must be examined by the Keepers before you are allow to use them in battles.
Rule 4: Do no attempt to cheat, especially with bribes, as you will not only be eliminated from the tournament, but harsher punishments may be implemented.
Rule 5: Do not cross the Keepers, or you shall receive a very dreadful death.
Rule 6: Follow the rules of each round. Breaking of rules will result in disqualification, and possibly worse.

After Rector was done reading the rules. He spoke one last time.

"The Dark Tournament will begin in 2 days. At that time, I ask all fighters to make their way back here, where you will be taken to the arena. Until then." Rector bowed. "Sleep, eat, rest, enjoy yourselves. After that, The Dark Tournament commences." With that, the Aerodactyl flapped it's enormous wings and took off back into the air, flying alongside the Spire, and flew until he was beyond the clouds.

There was now two days before the Tournament would start. The fighters had some free time.

The streets of the city were filled with Pokemon of all shapes and sizes. As Toro along with his Gold Tribe partners walked by the crowds of people, he could hear the Pokemon whispering.

“They must be here for the Tournament.”

“It can’t be, the Gold Tribe?”

“What an odd dressed group of Pokemon.”

These were some of the many things Toro heard from the crowd.

Toro’s wrists were still ablaze and the look on his face scared even the bravest of male Pokemon standing in the crowd. For Toro, this wasn’t just for the protection of the Alpha Alliance; it was in memory of his lost parents, the ones who believed in Toro no matter how much he failed, who loved Toro more than anyone in the world and who would have been the proudest of their warrior son.

A baby Rattata approached Kent with a look of wonder before its mother pulled it back into the crowd. It was like everyone knew Kent was our leader.

We reached our destination, The Spire. Kent was halted by a Kabutops with a hood over his head.

“Your invitation, please?” he insisted as he held out his claw awaiting the invite to be given to him.

As asked, Kent handed the shady looking Pokemon the invite. The Kabutops looked it over to what seemed to be checking to see if it was a fake, which it wasn’t. The Kabutops had a brief conversation with Kent before sending us inside The Spire to learn about our tournament that awaited us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All the fighters were chatting, all except Toro. Toro waited patiently and quietly for the address that was ahead. An Aerodactyl emerged atop a high balcony and began to speak.
Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament." The crowd around the Spire yelled and cheered.
"I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. Pokemon all across were talking excitedly amongst themselves. But Toro kept quiet.
"Now then, on to the rules of the Tournament. They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules:
Two days, that’s more than enough time for me to get ready, Toro thought to himself.
Thank goodness Hestia town was only ten kilometers away from the spire, and running to the large pillar took him less than a day. A little tired when getting there, Dylan's surprised to see a large number of Pokemon heading towards the Spire as well, most of them large and strong, showing off their muscles or power. Most participants came in groups, but some of them went alone, as if they had a lot of confidence inside them. Some of them looked awfully fierce and powerful, not to mention humongous large and strong, but some were as puny as Dylan was. Looking at some small contestants, Dylan felt angry and disappointed. If they could get the invitation, why couldn't he? He deserved it as much as they did. He just didn't get it.
The Spire was awfully big when seen up close, the tip disappearing into the clouds, and people around the world was heading towards it, from different nations, from different countries, all here, for a strange mythical power. Dylan wasn't here for the power, however. He wanted some recognition, that's all. Was recognition and fame that hard to find? About half a kilometer away from the spire, the whole plaza was full of contestants from all over the world. It was truly a stunning sight. But Dylan couldn't go any closer to the Spire, as he was a latecomer, and the contestants were already there before he was, so he was forced to watch from behind, hoping that he could see at least something from there. Glancing around, he saw some contestants standing alone, watching and waiting with their arms crossed, then at the front, he saw a bunch, a group of contestants with golden insignias on the bodies. Some on their shoulders, some on their arms etc. They were sticking and moving together, obviously they were from the same place. But where? Dylan didn't know. A Blaziken was also there, waiting patiently for someone to speak. He had never seen that insignia style before in his life. But then again, most of these contestants, fighters whatever, weren't from the Region of Argos.
The whole plaza was buzzing with conversations, and it was absolutely noisy and disturbing for the little Buizel, but things only got worse when a large Aerodactyl appeared in the sky, diving towards, then gliding into a half before the Spire. "Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament." he spoke, and the crowd cheered, their voices at a much higher, not to mention deafening level. Dylan continued to listen, the Aerodactyl talking about the Ultimate Power, the large ancient pokemon talking about the rules and the numbers of participants etc, and the Buizel nodded once every a few seconds a a sign of understanding. "The Dark Tournament will begin in 2 days. At that time, I ask all fighters to make their way back here, where you will be taken to the arena. Until then." Rector bowed. "Sleep, eat, rest, enjoy yourselves. After that, The Dark Tournament commences." With that, the Aerodactyl flapped it's enormous wings and took off back into the air, flying alongside the Spire, and flew until he was beyond the clouds.
With the Aerodactyl gone, Dylan watched as the crowd exited the Spire, walking towards the direction they came, most of them pushing Dylan out of the way without any polite 'excuse me's. After being pushed for the twentieth time, Dylan dashed out of the crowd and went towards the houses nearby. The Spire was basically a large spear pillar thing in the middle of a town, full of houses and shops, so buying stuff was awfully easy. Walking around the shops and the houses (less people there), Dylan strolled around the plaza, walking in some smaller paths, away from the large annoying crowd.
The Tournament would begin in two days. And what would happen then?
(This post is from Yoru's point of view.)
Yoru happily lead Anna into his humble house. It was small, but it was comfortable and home to him. Yoru was the only one to live there, his only child, a son, had moved out of town a couple years ago. And unfortunately his wife died two years ago, from an illness that had plaqued many of the Pokemon of Abel. Though, only a handful actually died from it.
From the corner of his eye he seen Anna sit down. Yoru eyed her mysterious, the first time they'd met he'd questioned the bruises on her. But she hadn't given him the right answer. Anna had told him, she hurt herself while helping others with chores. But these bruises couldn't have been from that labor, they were too deep for that. As he poured the tea, Yoru decided he'd ask again, hoping he'd get the truth from the little buizel. Yoru carried the two cups to the table on sat one before Anna. Then he sat in the chair opposite of hers. Yoru took a sip of his tea, while waching her over the rim of his cup. Anna seemed distracted as she stared down at the tea, not moving an inch.
"You seemed troubled. What's the matter?" Yoru asked putting his cup down.
Anna silently looked up at him and he marveled and wondered about her gray eyes. He'd never seen it, it was unusual for a Pokemon to have gray eyes. It made Yoru wondered about what could have happened to her to have them. "Everythings fine." Anna said and finally took a sip.
"And I'll ask again, how'd you get those bruises?" Yoru asked watching her face intendly.
"Why most you ask everytime we meet?" Anna asked and you could hear she was annoyed. "I told you before, I was doing some chores around the city and banged myself up a little. Nothing to fear, I'm all better now. Bruises just take time to heal. Now enough questions."
Yoru was disappointed in her answer, for he knew she had lied to him again. But he decided not to press it luck. As they drunk their tea Yoru thought about what he knew about the Buizel sitting across from him. Hardly anyone knew who she had came with, Anna was most often seen alone. Or accompanied by another Pokemon. She often walked the streets as a beggar and mysteriously ends up with bruises all over her head. Yoru believed her eye color was a birth defect, he didn't know what else it could be.
"If you'll excuse me. Thank you for the tea." Anna said getting up, and before he could say anything else. Sure Anna trusted Yoru, but she didn't want to put him in danger. Besides, she had to face it by herslf. Anna sighed as she started to walk, she walked down the side of the path, so there was less chance she'd run into a Pokemon that could beat her. Anna was walking around when she spotted something that made her stop walking. A foot or so in front of her was a Buizel that looked to be her age.
(sorry for the shorter post)
Dylan continued walking until he was tired, and he sat down, leaning onto a house's brick wall, resting for a while, the fedora hat blocking most of the annoying sunlight. The crowd wasn't going this way, so it was peace and quiet. Humming a little tune, Dylan thought about the contestants he saw earlier in the ceremony. In the group of golden people, those people with the gold insignias on, a Zangoose seemed to stand out. Maybe he was the leader of the team. Dylan didn't know why, but he was a little interested when seeing him, and he wanted to know more about him. Somehow, he seemed to be connected to this Zangoose, as if his sub-consciousness, or something, had seen him, and co-operated with him before. Dylan couldn't possibly picture out what, but he was curious. Next time, when he sees him, he was going to find some answers.
Pushing the thought aside, Dylan got up and continued walking. He was looking at the blue sky above, and when he looked at where he was going, somebody made him stop in his tracks. It was a Buizel about his age, female, with grey eyes. It was strange that she had grey eyes, but he didn't care as his fins were silver as well. Nothing wrong being different. When Dylan stopped walking, they were about two meters apart, looking at each other.
"Uh....h-hi?" Dylan spoke, not knowing what else to say, blushing a little, "Why did you stop walking-"
Before he could finish, Dylan screamed as he was attacked by a Weavile from behind, her shadow ball smashing onto Dylan's back. Tumbling onto the ground, Dylan recovered, quickly, getting up once again, facing the Weavile now. But she wasn't alone. Two figures walked out of the shadows, which appeared to be a Hitmonlee and a Cubone, the Cubone's bone-like weapon ready to strike. They were probably bandits, here to rob or kidnap Dylan. Eyes narrowing, Dylan stood back, not noticing himself standing right next to the Buizel girl, and the Cubone attacked first. Lunging towards Dylan, he swung his bone sideways, attempting to whack him aside, but Dylan blocked it with his arm, parrying it, which gave the Cubone a large shock.
Dylan couldn't fight three at once though, and the Hitmonlee kicked him from behind, sending Dylan flying until he smashed onto a tree trunk. Panting softly, Dylan got up with the help of the tree, and faced the three enemies, being surrounded as the three bandits approached him from all directions, blocking his escape.
Anna stopped and looked behind her when she thought she heard something. When she turned around she came face to face with another Buizel. This one wore a fedora and was a boy.
"Uh......h-hi?" Dylan spoke, not knowing what else to say, blushing a little. "Why did you stop walking-"
Anna had thought she had felt like she was being followed after leaving Yoru's house. But she had pushed it away, thinking it was just her nervous. Now she knew she had been being followed as Weavile used Shadow Punch on the unsuspecting Buizel. And Anna gasped when Hitmonlee and Cubone both stepped out of the shadows, towards the innocent Buizel. This confused her. Why would Strike send all three of them to spy on her? Any one of the three could have brought her back easily. Anna had never defeated any of them, no matter how hard she tried. But she couldn't let this Buizel fight them all by himself. This wasn't his fight. Anna watched as the three of them circled the Buizel. She started to run as fast as she could, using a Quick Attack to get there faster. Anna narrowed her eyes a little and aimed the attack. She hit her target, she ran into Cubone's back at full force. Anna had figured that since Cubone was about her size he would be the perfect one for her target. From the impact of the attack, Cubone stumbled forward a couple steps as if dancing drunkenly. Losing his footing, Cubone fell to the ground. But it wouldn't be long before the Cubone would get back up again.
Anna quickly turned her attention on the Weavile and was about to use a Sonicboom on it, but the Weavile used a Faint Attack on Anna first. It hit and Anna stumbled back a step or two and before she could do anything the Hitmonlee Low Kicked her into the tree, slaming her head against the tree's trunk. That's when everything started to get fuzzy, but Anna made herself raise to her feet. Even though she couldn't see straight. Anna had to try one more thing before she blacked out. She did Sonicboom and tried to make it reach all three enemies. It hit Cubone, who'd got back on his feet, though he stil looked a little dizzy. Anna fell to the ground, going limp.
Duchess Caitlyn Charporé
Kingdom of Tollen
Caitlyn waited in the long crowd that was entering the Spire. Soon, it was her turn to go in. The doors were guarded by Pokemon in darkly-coloured hoods. The one where she was was a Cranidos. The hooded Pokemon halted her, examining her over. Trying to clear the suspicion, Caitlyn declared, "I'm part of the emissaries from the Kingdom of Tollen. The invitation is with someone else in my group and I'm sure that they have already passed through so I'm not lying." The hooded Pokemon simply nodded, and for a moment, the Cinccino thought she saw a pair of glinting eyes from beneath the hood. Someone snickered far back in the line and Caitlyn heard a mutter. "Tollen's gonna lose with that loser chick in front." Her ears sharpened up and she turned around to face the direction of that voice. She glared at the Pokemon, whoever it was, and the noise suddenly dimmed down several notches.
"Duchess Caitlyn Charporé, please accept my humble apologies for being so rude. You may go ahead, oh and welcome to the Dark Tournament." For a moment, she hesitated and thought how did the Pokemon know her name and title. Was she that famous?? The Cranidos waved her on and she spun on her heels to walk into the Spire. Before doing so, the Cinccino flashed an annoyed look at the people behind her.
Inside the Spire, the layouts were arranged in a highly-organized architecture. The whole building was built in a spiraling fashion and each section was a circle. The chinchilla shuffled by and entered into the inner circle, which was packed with all the contestants of the tournament. There were warriors and fighters and combatants, all with their significant features and capabilities showing out through their weapons, armours, size and of course, muscles. One group of Pokemon caught her attention. They were dressed in materials that seemed to be like gold and decorated with golden insignias. The Duchess smirked after adding two and two together to conclude of the Gold Tribe. "I didn't know that they had a penchant for things like these. Oh well, better put up my guard." Caitlyn murmured to herself and went on her way. She made her way, jostling through the crowds. Using her two streams of fluff, she jostled and pushed people out of her way. All of a sudden, the chatting around the whole Spire died down as a looming shadow high above swooped down. It belonged to an Aerodactyl who came from somewhere high beyond the sky at the peak of the Spire. It settled down right where everyone could see him.
"Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament." The crowd around the Spire yelled and cheered. The Cinccino was quick to shoot a fierce glare at the people hollring around her. The sudden absence of screams at her corner was inevitably noticed. A Croconow spewed forth a string of insults at the chinchilla and she looked behind and stared with contempt. Her eyes were like daggers that strike into the Croconaw and he knew better then to shut his mouth.
"I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. The security for this tournament are the hooded Pokemon you see all around called the Keepers. You may speak with them later if you have any additional question about the tournament. I welcome all challengers from the distant lands to this grand event. For it is grand, an event that can shake the very foundations of life, or stabilize them completely." He paused for a moment, then continued.
"This year, there are exactly 510 fighters participating in the tournament. All competing, with their heart and souls to achieve the prize, the ultimate prize. The prize that all Pokemon want, but in the end, one, and only one can have: The Ultimate Power."
The whole building started to buzz with excitement and even the Duchess herself, felt the adrenaline coursing through her veins. This time, Caitlyn didn't bother to hush everyone around her up. Either she was too occupied to care or she rather soaked into the mood there and then.
"I realize there are a lot of you who aren't very sure what it is the Ultimate Power really is. I am not here to reveal what it is. I am only here to say that it will be worth the fight, worth the danger. After all, over the many, many years that the tournament has been going on, many have died. Died trying to win it all. This tournament, may claim your life, but if it's for the ultimate prize, isn't it worth the risk? Imagine your greatest hope, your greatest aspiration, and then imagine the Ultimate Power." And you forgot something, Mr Aerodactyl. Imagine controlling the whole world, that's the Ultimate Power. The fossil pterodactyl then rambled on about the rules, which happened to grasp Caitlyn's curiosity for they were unusual.
"They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules:
Rule 1: You lose when you are knocked out, killed, forfeit or unable to continue fighting, unless the round calls for something different.
Rule 2: If it is your turn to fight, and you do not make your appearance within a given amount of time, you are automatically disqualified from the tournament.
Rule 3: Any extra weapons or such must be examined by the Keepers before you are allow to use them in battles.
Rule 4: Do no attempt to cheat, especially with bribes, as you will not only be eliminated from the tournament, but harsher punishments may be implemented.
Rule 5: Do not cross the Keepers, or you shall receive a very dreadful death.
Rule 6: Follow the rules of each round. Breaking of rules will result in disqualification, and possibly worse."
The last two rules seemed very odd to her. Who are the Keepers? Anyways, it's not like she would be threatened by them. I'd like to see them try. She snorted and smoothed her scarf. Just when the Cinccino thought everything was done, the ancient winged Pokemon spoke for the final time.
"The Dark Tournament will begin in 2 days. At that time, I ask all fighters to make their way back here, where you will be taken to the arena. Until then." Rector bowed. "Sleep, eat, rest, enjoy yourselves. After that, The Dark Tournament commences."
"Okay then, that concludes it. What shall I do now?" Caitlyn Charporé mumbled to herself and then she thought of her group. She wondered where they were, and the chinchilla set off to find her fellow emissaries as the crowds gradually moved off to settle down in Argos.
Replicus 'Fallax' Decendas
Gold Tribe
The journey was boring for Replicus. Staying confined to a ship was not among his favorite things. He kept looking for things that would entertain him, like his all time favorite, playing pranks. But, being on a ship limited his options.
He looked out towards the horizon. The journey was going to take a few more hours. He sighed, and then he the figure.
It was a huge Pokemon, far away. It was blue, and Replicus immediately identified it. "A Wailord.......Perfect." He thought.
He transformed into a Pidgeot, and flew towards the huge whale Pokemon. When he reached it, he carefully examined it, taking note of all points of interests.
He then carefully focused, and successfully transformed into the Wailord. He dropped into the sea with a huge splash, yelling happily, excited to finally have some excitement in the long journey.
The other Wailord looked at him, and said, "A Ditto, eh? Pretty rare among these parts."
Replicus grinned at him, and said, "Heh, I know." He Splashed, and let out a huge water spout, causing some Wingulls in the sky to get completely drenched, and fall into the water.
The Wingulls yelled at him, and cursed him, but Replicus and the Wailord simply swam forward.
"Hehe, nice one, Ditto." The Wailord chuckled.
"Please, call me by my title, Fallax." Replicus replied.
"Title? You're from the Gold Tribe?"
"Yeah, but I'm rather new." Replicus said.
"You must be going to attend the Dark Tournament. A word of advice, be careful. It can get messy out there."
The Wailord dived into the water, and swam back. Replicus wondered what he had meant by those words. He looked at the ship in the distance, and swam alongside it.
He could see a tall structure far away, and recognized it as the Spire, which had been described in the letter. He swam towards it, peacefully.
--------------------------------------
Soon, the ship docked. Replicus transformed back into his Shiny Ditto form, and regrouped with the others. The group walked through the streets, and towards the Spire. Many people looked at them curiously, but Replicus simply ignored them.
When they reached the Spire, Replicus saw lots of burly looking Warriors. He looked small in front of them, and so he transformed into a Blaziken, like Bellator.
A hooded figure walked up to Kaiser, and he started speaking with him. Replicus managed to pick up small portions of the conversation.
"We are the Keepers of the Dark Tournament. We sponsor and control the event." The Kabutops said.
"Ohhhhh, so he's a Keeper, huh? Better keep that in mind...." Replicus thought.
He took not of the Keepers mannerisms, and his figure. That would come in handy sometime.
Kaiser led the group through towards the Inner Circle. Eventually, an Aerodactyl came forward, and started speaking.
"Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament."
"I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. "Now then, on to the rules of the Tournament. They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules:
The Aerodactyl flew up towards the sky, and Replicus had managed to memorize everything about him. He remembered everything about him, it would be easy to transform into him now. He started to recall the Rules, and then realized something.
"Wait, did he say, 'killed'? We can get killed here?" He asked Kaiser.
He had two days to get ready for the Tournament. More than enough. The most important thing for Fallax to get ready was to explore the city, and memorize a Pokemon from each type. He could then easily transform into it anytime, and that would make the Tournament a breeze. He didn't have any physical training to do, as such. He had to use his brains and strategies. He had to prove himself to the Gold Tribe.
No matter what.
Nova the Espeon
Kingdom of Tollen
From the front of the Spire, Nova found herself impatient to get inside. A huge crowd had gathered before some hooded pokemon, all accepting through with invitations. Nova secretly wondered how the, what appeared to be a Cranidos, would judge her as she did not have a real invitation. It was with the Skarmory from earlier, as she knew. Why didn’t he wait? Approaching the hooded guard, the pokemon stopped Nova to examine her. She allowed the Cranidos to do so, even if she didn’t like it. Her appearance was slowly catching the attention of others.
“Identify yourself,” the guard commanded, the Espeon facing them with cold, black eyes They showed no emotion, which was only heard through her voice, “I’ve been sent here from the Kingdom of Tollen. One of my associates passed through here earlier with the invitation.”
“Of course they did,” a voice from behind replied before the guard could. Nova instantly flipped around, as the rude comment was loud and clear. The crowd’s eyes pointed to a Mightyena, who’s chuckling smile made the Espeon’s eyes burn with anger. He was mocking her in front of everyone. She saw some of the more mature in the crowd shifting their heads in the opposite direction, while the rest had their eyes all on her. Her flicking tail and sharp eyes were softened as the guard spoke.
“I am sorry, Madam Nova. Please proceed to join your colleagues.”
Turning her head back, a small smile pinched her face before she walked through the doorway. It was ripped off the moment her face was out of view from the pokemon behind her. “As if I would lie about an invitation. How horrible”. Peering inside the Spire, the exquisite agriculture didn’t fail to impress her, although the Espeon’s attention laid on the crowd which had gathered. She couldn’t find the Cinccino or Emolga, though she probably didn’t need to. She was in, after doubting she’d ever get a chance to participate in anything remotely as dangerous as this.
Letting her alien-like eyes study the gatherings of pokemon before her, Nova was easily able to identify a single group, all of which had golden pieces of either clothing or items on their bodies. If they were foreign, Nova probably didn’t have an inch of knowledge about them. Instead, murmurs from the crowd around her gave her the information she needed. “The Golden Tribe. Strong, courageous…”. If they were known by so many, they had to be the bravest of warriors. Facing them in battle would be interesting...more or less.
A sharp shriek from above shushed the crowd around her, a glint of light revealing an Aerodactyl. Extending its hard, long wings, it halted in front of the warriors with a perfect landing. "Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos....to the Dark Tournament."
Cries and cheers instantly filled the air, piercing the Espeon’s large ears. Her alien eyes stroke at each pokemon it laid upon, although Nova quickly gave up, allowing them to cheer as they liked. A slight motion of the prehistoric pokemon’s wing silenced all as it continued to talk, "I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. The security for this tournament are the hooded Pokemon you see all around called the Keepers. You may speak with them later if you have any additional question about the tournament. I welcome all challengers from the distant lands to this grand event. For it is grand, an event that can shake the very foundations of life, or stabilize them completely”.
For a moment, the Aerodactyl paused, only to continue shortly afterwards, "This year, there are exactly 510 fighters participating in the tournament. All competing, with their heart and souls to achieve the prize, the ultimate prize. The prize that all Pokemon want, but in the end, one, and only one can have: The Ultimate Power”.
An ultimate power which could save their King. If not, bring her sister back to life…
"I realize there are a lot of you who aren't very sure what it is the Ultimate Power really is. I am not here to reveal what it is. I am only here to say that it will be worth the fight, worth the danger. After all, over the many, many years that the tournament has been going on, many have died. Died trying to win it all. This tournament, may claim your life, but if it's for the ultimate prize, isn't it worth the risk? Imagine your greatest hope, your greatest aspiration, and then imagine the Ultimate Power."
Nova found the pokemon gazing with admiration and awe of the Prize. She herself felt overcome with curiosity and wonder, not in the least shaken up by the danger that could come to the Espeon. It would be worth it, saving someone’s life. Although her own well-being was important, the Ultimate Power had to be put to use in the right way. She’d fight for it.
"Now then, on to the rules of the Tournament. They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules:
Rule 3: Any extra weapons or such must be examined by the Keepers before you are allow to use them in battles.
Rule 4: Do no attempt to cheat, especially with bribes, as you will not only be eliminated from the tournament, but harsher punishments may be implemented.
Oh, darn,” the Espeon chuckled to herself, quickly focusing back to hear the last few rules.
Rule 5: Do not cross the Keepers, or you shall receive a very dreadful death.
Rule 6: Follow the rules of each round. Breaking of rules will result in disqualification, and possibly worse…
"The Dark Tournament will begin in 2 days. At that time, I ask all fighters to make their way back here, where you will be taken to the arena. Until then,” Rector bowed to the contenders, "Sleep, eat, rest, enjoy yourselves. After that, The Dark Tournament commences." With that, the Aerodactyl flapped it's enormous wings and took off back into the air, flying alongside the Spire, and flew until he was beyond the clouds.
It would be two days until the tournament officially began. What she would do until then, the Espeon didn’t know. The crowd slowly broke up, Nova staying in place to look for one of her emissaries.
Tennille Nakumi
Region of Argos
Arriving at the Spire where the tournament is going to be held, Tennille saw a variety of fellow pokemon that she indeed saw around the region at one point or another during her career, along with a few others that she couldn't even recognize. She surveyed left and right, taking a look at what could be her competition during this tournament. She couldn't help but smile at the young and upcoming pokemon that were going to part take in this tournament. Part of the reason was because Tennille always liked children. She had hopes that someday...somehow...she could be a mother. Tennille gently closed her eye lids taking in the atmosphere as sh then turned away, and headed for the line-up. There, she saw a hooded figure -- a Hypno who was taking the invitations and tickets. Eventually, it was Tennille's turn.
"...Invitation...?" Hypno silently and sternly said as Tennile reached for her bag. She took out a while pamphlet on what seemed to be her invite to the tournament. Hypno looked it over to see it was a fake. Eventually, he nodded and turned his head back towards Tennille.
"...Try not to die now..." he chuckled. "...As old as you are, I'm hoping that you won't well....break your back..."
"I'll keep that advice in mind," Tennille smiled. "Cause you see, this sista's got a mean back problem, and ohhhhh, how its a hurtin' to deliver a Dizzy Punch to each and every one of these folks! Well, take care now; try to get your speech impediment checked too."
Tennille turned away and walked away from the Hypno, to eventually, hear an announcement.
"Welcome, challengers and citizens of Argos...to the Dark Tournament!" The crowd around the Spire yelled and cheered as Tennille clapped her paws to the excitement.
"I am Rector, the host of the Dark Tournament. I am in charge of all of the proceedings of the event, as well as in charge of security. The security or this tournament are the hooded Pokemon you see all around called the Keepers. You may speak with them later if you have any additional question about the tournament. I welcome all challengers from the distant lands to this grand event. For it is grand, an event that can shake the very foundations of life, or stabilize them completely."
"I'm hoping it outta shake up my grandma's milkshake too," Tennile thought to herself. "Dang ol' bat can't seem to know the difference between shake and stir."
"This year, there are exactly 510 fighters participating in the tournament," Rector began again. "All competing, with their heart and souls to achieve the prize, the ultimate prize. The prize that all Pokemon want, but in the end, one, and only one can have: The Ultimate Power."
"Hm, I've heard of that before," Tennille thought. "Is that do-hickey of a power really that special?"
"I realize there are a lot of you who aren't very sure what it is the Ultimate Power really is. I am not here to reveal what it is. I am only here to say that it will be worth the fight, worth the danger. After all, over the many, many years that the tournament has been going on, many have died. Died trying to win it all. This tournament, may claim your life, but if it's for the ultimate prize, isn't it worth the risk? Imagine your greatest hope, your greatest aspiration, and then imagine the Ultimate Power."
"Aha! This sista could run a bakery!" Tennile thought, excited. "Or...if I can learn how to cook! Hahahaha!"
"Now then, on to the rules of the Tournament. They aren't very hard, but are subject to change as every round passes, as all of them are, in fact, different. However, you'll see once you get to them...that is...if you get to them. For now, these are the basic, underlying rules."
"Ugh, of COURSE these things have rules," Tennile sighed. "Why couldn't they say: the only rule? Try not to knock the others teeth off. Works for me...sorta."
Rule 1: You lose when you are knocked out, killed, forfeit or unable to continue fighting, unless the round calls for something different.
"Perfect, there's a killing rule," Tennile sighed. "Guess what sum' punk is gonna try to do to me during a match..."
Rule 2: If it is your turn to fight, and you do not make your appearance within a given amount of time, you are automatically disqualified from the tournament.
"BUT MY SOAP OPERAS!!" Tennile gawked. "WHAT IF ITS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SOAP OPERAS!! Well, I guess there's always...public television. Sigh."
Rule 3: Any extra weapons or such must be examined by the Keepers before you are allowed to use them in battles.
"Well guess they outta be checking my paws then," Tennile thought. "People always told me there are weapons..."
Rule 4: Do no attempt to cheat, especially with bribes, as you will not only be eliminated from the tournament, but harsher punishments may be implemented.
"Shoot; there goes my banana-to-a-Mankey-always-before-the-first-match rule..." Tennille sighed. "And it was such a good idea too..."
Rule 5: Do not cross the Keepers, or you shall receive a very dreadful death.
"Aw, I was only gonna tell them one joke at least..." Tennille thought. "Or make fun' of their momma; its always funny."
Rule 6: Follow the rules of each round. Breaking of rules will result in disqualification, and possibly worse.
"Guess that's fair," Tennille thought. "I mean..rules make sure there are SMILES TO EVERYONE'S FACES...bleh; a smiling Ursaring...mind blown."
After Rector was done reading the rules. He spoke one last time.
"The Dark Tournament will begin in 2 days. At that time, I ask all fighters to make their way back here, where you will be taken to the arena. Until then." Rector bowed. "Sleep, eat, rest, enjoy yourselves. After that, The Dark Tournament commences."
"Guess its time this sista' get something to eat!" Tennile smiled. "Well...after a little check on my competition of course, heh, heh."
