Urghhh. Ash took all night just to decide on Palpitoad. I remember in DP he just made a quick decision on his whole party for the 1st gym match based on their attacks. I am really not fond of this prolonged step backwards. And then Ash goes on to say as he chooses Pikachu, he shouldn't have bothered with typings! Urgh. Why did none of them realise that Pikachu could do normal damage because Emolga is both Electric and Flying? Pikachu knocks out Emolga with just Quick Attack?
Gym leaders must have to spend a lot of time renovating their buildings after they've been smashed.
And is it just me, or does Elesa's VA sound like she has a lisp?
Yeah their really not doing justice to Ash this go around. I could figure out Palpitoad is resistance in a split second. Hell he had to interchange pokemon during the battle if I recall correctly. If you don't know what your team composition is going to be before the battle then there is something wrong with you in the big picture of things. Heck I would be a decent viable team up with little thought involved. Palpitoad(resistance to Electric attacks as well as Super Effective against all expect Emolga who is flying, unless there was Gravity or something involved), Roggenrola(super effective against Emolga), Pikachu(does normal damage too).
Maybe Pokemon League pays for renovations of gyms and the leaders implement them? Although some gyms look in better shape in others so I assume a lot of that is under the jurisdiction of the leaders and gym staff themselves?
Yeah, he actually ran out to go and get Snivy -- even though Emolga not long before used Aerial Ace. Ash has never done anything like that before; It was done for humour, but it makes me feel sort of sad in a way, because he isn't the Ash I've been watching for the past 10+ years :/
I was joking about that XD Its just one of those things the writers expect you to overlook
