15. Shonen cliches are so amusing to pick out, even with series you like. Picking out cliches has actually brought me to enjoy watching a couple shonen series I was wary of at first. And it has made watching the Pokemon anime more fun.

I tried Bleach and couldn't get into it, and I'll be honest and say that I never really tried One Piece. Fairy Tail I tried it and did get further in it than Bleach, but I haven't been able to bring myself to continue it, despite people not just rossu, who needs to stop thinking she's all alone telling me to do so.

I think my avatar speaks as to which one I like the most out of the four, hurrhurr.

To quote Oda they're all too "in love with adventure" to care about stuff like that, well minus a certain cook anyway.

As far as shounen goes...

FT, Naruto, Bleach, cage of eden, Ao no Ex = meh but I'm not dropping after putting so much time into.
One Piece, Gintama, bakuman = awesomesauce.

Gintama and Bleach have the best opening and endings though.

Not everyone watches moe or seasonal anime. Which is now why I realized I grew apart from this thread. Nobody watches more than two <27 episode series that air during any given season.

I watch almost no anime apart from the Tales of Symphonia OVA, and the Detective Conan movies these days. Very rarely you'll really catch me watching anything else.

I guess the only series I've really been watching of late is Pokemon, with a little bit of Durarara!! mixed in.

Lucky, the Detective Conan movies are consistently good. Only two of the One Piece movies are as good as the show. :C

DRRR! huh, I downloaded that the other day. If you've seen it how does it compare to Baccano!?

I watch too much really, but I only watch 3 normal shows per week so it's all good.

Films that go with series hmmm.... First Bleach one was really good, liked it more than the show. I've only seen a few one piece ones and they've been....just average. Naruto I can't remember any of the plots but that show's like that most of the time anyway. Looking forward for Fairy Tail, Ao no Ex and Indexu in film quality in the not too distant future.

If you're expecting baccano!, expect disappointment. It's all fairly straightforward and adapts the boring novels. Great characters though.

Ah, that's a bit of a shame. It would be somewhat miraculous if someone could put together a 25 episode show with the same charm and relentless energy of Baccano! mind.

It's a high school setting. So naturally, it will focus on DRAMA instead of fast paced comedy and action. The surprises are not TRUE surprises that have been building up to that moment, but just simple plot devices used to advance the plot.

Don't follow subgroups as much as much as I used to but Shikkaku have always been pretty good. GG aren't terrible, I could use a barrage of words that would get me banned from the site to describe the people doing the subs mind.

Gotta be up in under 4 hours, better go to bed.
