Well from the ones I've seen it seems your friend has decent taste.

He certainly does, it's a shame most of the things he tries to get me to watch is so goddamn difficult to watch. :P

Oh yeah, and he's technically my Bleach grandpa since he introduced Bleach to a mutual friend years ago and that guy introduced it to me.

36. I've introduced my brother to almost every anime series he's ever watched. Seriously. I think the only series he found on his own and didn't find through Adult Swim was Tiger & Bunny.

I was introduced to non Cardcaptors or Pokemon anime by my mother of all people. She knew I liked a couple of Japanese films so when she saw Blood+ on tv she asked if I wanted to watch it with her.

Yeah, 2deep4u shows are sometimes hard to marathon, especially if you usually watch whilst doing other stuff.

38.

There was a friend that I used to talk to that shared a birthday with me who told me about inuyasha. I started to have my dad record it for me and that was my official step into the anime world. Before then was Pokemon and Sailor Moon and all that but at the time I didn't realize that they were anime as well.

I usually give anime all my attention when I watch it, since it's pretty much required with subs and all. The more "boring" shows this season like Nyaruko and Dusk Maiden I've found are very easy to have in the background though.

I honestly can't determine when I took my first actual steps into the world of anime. It happened so slowly.

I suppose you could say my marathon of Love Hina on YouTube during two days of 2009 was the big breakthrough to watching anime in large quantities online. But I still remember knowing of of stuff before that. It's all a bit blurry.

And that's another highly rated SoL show on my complete list. Lovely art.

41. Adult Swim and Code Geass were my introductions to any anime that wasn't Pokemon, and that was only 4 or 5 years ago.

Sometimes I wish it was.

My sisters pretty much emulated my love for anime. It weirded me out greatly. Seriously. O_o

Waking up with a splash sounded dirty, and so did your latest post before I read it properly. Something something your sisters and emulation and love and being weirded out. Holy crap Netto.

My sis isn't a massive animu fan (well she's just given birth so she's still a bit massive) but she did enjoy Chinese Electric Batman, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told and Mitsudomoe.

Badum-dish.

Also, I like how you didn't even bother giving Mitsudomoe a nickname.
I gotta finish the Russian S2 of Chinese Electric Batman and I'm about to start watching The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.

/proud that he got the references

I wouldn't necessarily classify her as a loli, but otherwise spot-on.

Well Netto, I blame my age.

Holy deity, watching Love Hina again is nostalgic.
It's quite possible it's the show I've felt the most for ever.

My MAL friends list are all over Love Hina, I guess I should read it one of these days. Can't say I grew out of the genre when this is one of the best things I'm reading right now.

There's just something about the writing and the characters that make it so awesome.
No matter how crazy, Akamatsu always manages to make his characters extremely believable and lovable. It's just ridiculous.

Haven't read anything by him, everyone saying Negima had a crappy ending kind of put me off that one.

Negima's ending was incredibly rushed due to problems with the editors and stuff. It leaves you a bit unsatisfied since there's so much potential not being used fully... And because of the plot holes of course.

Still a really, really entertaining read.

I seriously want to see the non-rushed ending for Negima. ;;

Has there ever been an amazing end to a long running shounen? Kekkaishi had a pretty decent one and from what I've seen Kenshin seemed well done. OP will have an amazing end presuming everything goes well, Oda has supposedly had it in his head from the beginning.
