In the future we won't be able to differentiate regular animation from CGI though. :3c
Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to oneself to decide.

Regarding the first/second thing you talk about I have no idea what you mean.

As long as anime doesn't start looking like Final Fantasy I'll be happy.

Eh, don't worry.

I'm really admiring the art design in fate/Zero though. Splendid use of colours and lighting, and even the CGI looks incredibly good. If this is what anime will look like more and more, I can't say I'm complaining. :D

Isn't that just I.G being I.G? Even back in the early 00s they had some pretty great CGI blending. See the second GitS opening. As far as digital animation goes those guys really do make the best of it.

It's time.

Well pull me backwards and call me Jim, I guess that's always been awesome.

I've got the Cowboy on my HD. Will watch at some point.

I might want to finish FZ, Champloo, Katanagatari and all the other stuff I've set out to watch before starting that, though.

I'm pretty much up to date, just my Sasami-san (I am so not motivated to watch the rest of this) and
Spoiler:

I also started rewatching Guilty Crown the other day, that'll probably take months.

It's only 12 now so maybe I'll watch something new. Excitement.

I'll probably never indulge in Guilty Crown again, though the soundtrack is doing very well on my iPod to this day.

First episode of Sasami-san got me really excited, but now that they're explaining things it's losing its charm somewhat.
I have very little on my watch list this season, which is great. Most of the stuff is just continuation from autumn.

The games, that horrible cgi is one way anime could go in the future.

This season is pretty decent for me, especially as I thought it was going to be awful.

Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman - Fun, love the art and music, characters are fun and the story is showing potential.
Gintama - Finally started animating the Courtesan of a Nation Arc.
Inferno Cop - Inferno Cop/10
Kotoura-san - I thought the suffering was over ;__;
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - Potatoes are delicious.
[email protected] - Art.

Also Shuppuden coming out of filler and Rock Lee continuing on another season.

Oh yeah, Kotoura-san too. Thrilling first ep there too, hopefully it won't stop being great.
And Inferno cop is of course a must-watch for any anything-fan.

I didn't try feudal Lupin actually. Maybe I should've.

You should watch Gintama ahead of most things, really.

I do watch Gintama. I'm at like, episode 15.

Watching it on my iPod whenever I feel like watching anime on my iPod.

Which is a pretty rare occasion.

Really? I think the CGI is amazing (especially XIII, those are some of the best cutscenes I've seen in a game). Heck, Final Fantasy has always had some of the most beautiful movies in gaming, especially FFVIII and IX when they were new. I mean, say what you will about the games, but since VIII the CGI has always been beautiful. It's not the way I'd want all or most anime to go, but beautiful nonetheless.

As for anime that I'm looking forward to...Kizumonogatari? That's pretty much it. I usually see good anime months or even (usually) years after they come out- and not on purpose, it just happens that way.

I saw the first episode of Gintama, might go ahead and pick it up again.

Is the a difference with the manga?

As for the previous talk...TROLOLOLOL

I've considered watching Gintama, but I REALLY don't want to get into a long series.

I'm not a fan of many CGI things to be honest with you, there are of course major exceptions though.

Gintama is wonderful, takes a while to really warm up but but it's so worth it.

There are a few titles I'm looking forward for this year. Shingeki no Kyojin, Aku no Hana, Sailor Moon and Ghost in the Shell: Arise off the top of my head.

I hear so many good things about it but...
...
...
I dunno. I just think of how much time I would have to invest in it to watch it, and then I cringe. It's not that I don't want to watch Gintama, it's just that I don't want to watch something that long from the beginning.

Unless it's called Yu Yu Hakusho or Dragon Ball Z.

For the most part it is an episodic comedy, there are arcs which range from 2 - 7 (The latest one is 13 chapters so that number might go up) so it's not really hard to pick up and put down.

Yu Yu Hakusho is one I want to watch at some point. Can't see myself watching dbz though. I watched the original 153 episodes and read the manga with no nostalgia value, it was enough for me.

I just got into bed, still have to cook some food though. meh.

DBZ was a show I watched as a child, but I don't wear my nostalgia goggles when I say it. There was actually a point where I convinced myself that I didn't like the show...then I downloaded it and watched it to the end. And then that happened two more times. Not counting movies, it's my favorite animu, though I'm hoping that one day something will come along to take its place.

Eh...I guess I could give it a shot. If it's episodic then I should be fine, it'll give me something to go to when I get bored over the years.

Night, Pokestick!

Nighty night, Pokey.

It was a fun show although it's had no lasting impact on me. I love the demographic but Dragon Ball probably wouldn't even make my top 10 shounen series. Had I been one of the many children running home after school to watch dubbed episodes this would probably be quite different.
