Time to post somewhere else...

Do you ever take a break from your main section to go post in some other places for a while? If so, when was the last time you did this, why did you do it, and how did it turn out for you? If not, why not?

Yeah, I kind of broke off of the Emulation section. It seemed to have died to me, so OVP is more active and more fun for me to post in anyway.

I'm trying to do this as of now. Over the last week or so, I've realised that my posting habits are becoming a little old hat (here, C&M, staff forums, wash, rinse, repeat), so am making an effort to try and explore at least one new forum every day. I've started welcoming people, critiquing some art, played a few games and inquired about Japanese stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to keep posting in a few of these sections, and maybe even more.

I...occasionally venture into other sections becides OCh, OCl and OVP. But only when there's a thread that catches my eye from the index, and there are certain sections I almost always refuse to post in.

Do I do it to change up the rhythm? Not really. I don't see a need to arbitrarily force myself to post somewhere, it almost always ends in unorganic and unoriginal output....or just something that isn't worth posting. If I post, I post and so be it. If I just feel like lurking, I'll lurk. Sometimes even when there is something to post, it's not always profitable to post there...there are several types of people here who are out to just start drama.

@Pachy: OC is where the drama occurs :P I don't think I've ever seen anything get to heated anywhere else, lol.

I do this every once in a while but because the way I look at the sections I see every different one, I kind of just post in a lot naturally. Although often my eyes just glaze over threads like the DCC because I always used to ignore it, and now I'm going out of my way to post in it more and I have to consciously make myself not ignore it, lol.

I just post where I feel like there is something I want to post about. If the forum in question doesn't interest me then I wouldn't be posting in there in the first place. So I tend to post in sections that generally rouse my interests.

After I do my daily welcoming spree, (welcome about 2, 3, maybe 4 or more new members), I take a short break and post at my frequent boards, or do my usual "lurk before you post" on boards that I rarely visit. :P I usually do check often at my board just in case anything pops up.

C&T is quite dead because people either think it's just a help section or they think they don't know enough about computers to post there. So instead I've been coming here a lot more often since it's got a lot of activity :D Also since my pair started moderating here I thought I'd give him a hand by showing some interest in here and reporting whenever I can x3

Sometimes I lurk Pokémon General and Other Clubs but most of the time I'm happy enough to just stay here. I once tried welcoming new members but I just felt awkward haha. Maybe one day I'll switch it up and post elsewhere for fun but right now I'm good where I am.

The only other sections I'll check is OC, C&M, and Celebrations (once in a while) but usually I won't find anything I'd like to post in and so I just might read through some threads and then leave.

I don't have a section that I "main"; usually I just hit the "new posts" button on top and find a thread that interests me to reply to. In other words, I'm pretty much everywhere. :P

I pretty much never leave this section. No where else interests me enough to post there a lot.

But for some reason today I felt like welcoming some new members and it felt good. n_n I think I might keep doing that.

I generally don't leave the Off-Topic sections and C&M, even though I've been thinking about branching out into the Pokemon sections of the forum. I really don't like leaving the areas I'm comfortable I'm in, though, there are completely different cults groups of people that I don't know, lol.

I like to dwell around one section a lot. You will almost never see me in other sections.

I've been doing my best to branch out from the Trivia sections. I've been posting more in Clubs, and I'm been meaning to post more in Pokemon Groups as well. Then I've been dabbling in other places as well, including here in which I've actually made a topic or two in the past week or so. Hopefully I'll expand some more, though there are going to be sections in which I'll never touch upon, sad to say.

I try to be active in various sections in PC. It doesn't really turn out that way. I usually just post in the OC/OVP until there is nowhere left to post, then I start the slow descent to madness by venturing outside my homw. @_@

When I wander out of the staff forums I'm usually in NU/W, or here. Granted when I really get into it then I'm all over the place. Sometimes I feel like I should hang out in JE more because of my huge interest in that type of thing, it just doesn't happen. xD; I try to post in all different areas, since sticking to one or two either gets boring, or I feel like I should branch out.

I guess me completely moving away from the Emulation section counts, right? But now, Pokemon General is where I mainly hang out at and when something piques my interest on other sections then I'd lurk for a while until I've decided to post.

I mean, I stick to TCTI to occasionally post things, I post in B/W when there's news etc, lately I've been posting in CBC/in-game and I usually either make a few threads and post here sometimes. So basically, me posting anywhere else is out of my sections? Well other than the hidden forums and CQF where I try to post when I can ;;

I really dunno about my activity anymore, I just post wherever, lol.

I originally came here for fan fiction, and nowadays I hardly ever visit that section. But at this point, I'm actually a bit of a wanderer, posting in a number of sections, so I can't really say there's one area of the forums that's my main section... though I do hang out in OVP and the DCC a lot, I usually visit other sections at least once a day.

I usually only stick with only General Pokemon Gaming and OVP. I find the other sections boring.

Hmm. I guess when I joined PC my main section was Emulation, but I kinda discovered that there was more to PC than just Rom Hacking, and I became more active on the other forums. I don't really have a main section, so I guess I can't say I take a break from any of them.
