Lair of the Madman

Zane felt his fist clench as he heard Penance begin talking. He paused for what he believed to only be a moment to hear what the Golduck had to say, but ended up staying longer once he had spoken his mind. The pitfalls and the poison darts weren’t what caught his attention, but the mentioning of TrueStriker’s sister did. Thing got even more interesting as someone he hadn’t seen for a while, a Marowak dropped in. He knew him, a former member of the Gold Tribe. Needless to say, he was surprised to see him here, of all places. He was beginning to understand the severity of the situation that much more, as it was apparent to him that the Madman had managed to pull a few of the Gold Tribe to his side as well.

“Bonebreaker…” Zane muttered under his breath, a bit lost as to what he could possibly say. In his silence, TrueStriker stepped forward and asked where his sister was. He grabbed at Leon, menacing in his look. It wasn’t until Blitzkrieg parted them that the tension would momentarily seem to cool, albeit very little. What he spoke, much to the disappointment and anger of Zane, was true. They would have to put aside their difference for now if they wanted to defeat a common foe. As much as he loathed the Madman, the traitor Gold Tribe members, and all of his other ‘affiliates’, he saw no other way to go besides working for them. Even if they didn’t have TrueStriker’s sister in their grasp, he knew this was the only way they could do things. There was no time to argue, and no time to debate. What was done was done, and if they wanted to prevent anymore catastrophes from happening, they needed to move. Now.

“…Fine,” Zane finally grumbled out, clearly displeased with the situation, but trying his best not to let his personal feelings get in the way. He figured if Adam “Rey” Reed were in this position, he would have put aside his difference and played along. Though Zane knew he wasn’t the same leader Rey was, he had to represent his ideals as best as he could. “We’ll do things your way.” He turned to Leon. “Lead the way.”

As he fell in line behind Leon, Zane sent tapped into the mental link TrueStriker still had employed, and relayed a message to him, something very unconventional of him to say. “I know this isn’t what you wanted, and I know you want to see your sister, but we’ll get her once we get the Gold Crystal. I promise. And if they do anything to her, I promise you, they will pay. All of them.”

With that, he turned to follow Leon through the tunnels, and towards the crystal. The bulk of the Gold Tribe followed after.

Cape City

“A merry mess they’ve made of things…” Scar muttered to himself. He crossed his arms, observing the carnage around him, as Ancients tried to ascertain the whereabouts of the Madman’s affiliates. They broke into Pokemon’s homes, chased down whoever they could down the streets. It was all preparation for what was bound to happen later that day. And through it all, despite him knowing that he would follow such an order no matter why, he still wondered why Auron would want to make Cape City into a graveyard. It was like Sovereign muttered earlier, ‘What good is a kingdom where everyone is dead?’

As he watched the butchery unfold, he heard Genevieve call for him to follow her. Scar snapped out of his thoughts, and observed the Gardevoir as she walked off, expecting him to follow. He was a bit puzzled, but decided he’d give her a chance to explain herself, following her as she led him through the city. It was a somewhat comical walk, the two Sentinels almost ignoring everything else that occurred around them, with Genevieve merely leading them to their destination, and Scar watching her move in front of him, trying to decipher her motivations. She always had something planned, some trickery to unleash upon others. What she was plotting, he didn’t know, but he figured he would be prepared. Well…as prepared as he could get.

She led him through an old bell tower, to the top where she chose to sit down after ridding the place of a nuisance who chose an early death. She extended her arm to the spot next to her, and after a moment of debate inside of his mind, the Mienshao decided to join her, sitting down next to her. “So…what’s this about, then?” He asked her curiously. Even atop this spot, he could hear the sounds of the city slowly being enveloped in mayhem. He ignored it for now, his attention almost fully on the Gardevoir. Most would find this odd, to have ones awareness fully on an individual over such carnage below, but Scar found that such displays of chaos was something he had come to be adapted to, and expect. It was the unknown, the mysterious which he found most alluring now. And with Genevieve, he found that he was often put into such a position where her motives couldn’t be explained. Even if her allegiances were established, there was still much mystery about her.

Perhaps he would find out just a bit more right now.

***

Deluge, seeing nothing else of importance in the area he occupied, decided it would be best to escort the prisoner to her cell, making his way alongside the Ancients as they brought the unconscious body of Veletra to the prison she would occupy, for however little that would last. Eventually, like everything else in this rotting city, she would be nothing more than dinner for the Fearows.

Hanso SharpEye
~~~~~
Hanso almost snapped at Accatosh as the Salamence got between him and Leon and spoke his piece. Yeah, work together against the Silver Tribe and all that, but in a way, this has nothing to do with that!! Hanso kept his thoughts to himself, though, shaking slightly. With anger or relief, or maybe both, he wasn't quite sure.
"You're not going to hurt me... or us. You know why Gallade? Your sister is quite the chatterbox, she knows just how you would react in a situation like this, and the fact that if you happen to walk just the wrong way... an... accident could happen." The Weavile narrowed his eyes, "So I suggest you take your hands off of me and walk away. Listen to your Salamance friend, he seems to be much smarter than you."
That was at least the second time it had been said or implied that Hanso was stupid, in less than a few hours at that.
Accatosh said one last thing before returning to the plans: "there will be no accidents... understand... because if anything happens to any member of the Gold Tribe, we wouldn't want any accidents to happen to such a BOLD warrior as yourself now would we?"
Hanso closed his eyes, trying to calm himself. He knew better than this...sheesh, he was older than several of the other Gold Tribe members present! She's alive though...she's here, and she's alive. All he really wanted at that moment was to find Brynn and at least talk to her, find out where she'd been since the attack on Shine City.
Zane finally gave in, it seemed, to the fact that they needed to work with Leon in order to get to the Gold Crystal. The Bisharp did send Hanso a message, though: “I know this isn’t what you wanted, and I know you want to see your sister, but we’ll get her once we get the Gold Crystal. I promise. And if they do anything to her, I promise you, they will pay. All of them.”
There it was again: putting family aside in favor of the greater good. Hanso's were still closed as he stood for a few moments longer, though the others seemed to be leaving now. You have no idea, the Gallade thought grimly. Perhaps another might have found it unusual for Hanso to be so attached to his sister, but it was how he felt. They had grown up together, after all.
"Ya know what?" Hanso opened his eyes as he turned to follow the rest of the Gold Crystal retrieval group. "You don't worry 'bout my sister, Zane. Wouldn't want to put one Pokemon over defeating the Silver Tribe, an' all that. Leave that to me." The Gallade paused near Penance, considering. It might not hurt to ask, despite everything. "Penance," Hanso started, opening a brief channel to the Golduck's mind, "is there a remote chance that my sister would have some free time right now?" If she was still the Gardevoir Hanso knew, she wouldn't have idled her time away doing nothing.
The Swift's head was beginning to clear. He realized that he was underground truly. He hated that. The Madman was crazy, but he was going to help, and right now the Gold Tribe could use all of the help it could get. The group was going for the crystal. Jirmonji fell in line behind Blitzkrieg and began to walk. There were new members of the tribe popping up everywhere. It seemed rather strange, but the Swift was not the one to question them. As they were walking, he noticed the tension between Leon and Truestriker, and even a little from Accatosh. The Salamance threatened the Weavyle. Blitzkrieg was a good fighter, and an even better ally, but he was reckless. The Swift himself was reckless, so it made no matter.
Jirmonji was still infuriated that Madman had gone out on them and left them. He could understand that he was angry. Everyone got angry in this damned war. The Swift had lost his brother, the only one who had cared for him, at Gold City. He always felt pain, as well as blinding fury when he saw Sentry. The damned Scizor was his brother at one point, but then he betrayed him. The rebellion of ALL the Sentinels pained him. He began to question the point of honor in general... "Why damn it..."
Penance 'Madman' Malum - Madman's 'Home'
Penance frowned at the drama unfolding. Leon had a high head as usual. Of course Hanso was also being, in a way, helped by Accatosh. Gold Tribe members were close, very much like family. In fact Hanso would be very very close to his sister in this way. Penance knew this very intimately in fact, so it was no wonder that Hanso acted the way he did with the threat. Zane meanwhile was simmering, in fact he looked so close to boiling that Penance thought if they actually did throw him into a cauldron he would actually boil the water all by himself! Oh, what a funny image that was. The Golduck chuckled to himself and watched as the Gold Tribe began to actually get their senses and wanted to follow Leon now.
The Weavile just chuckled and looked them over, "Well well, some Goldies want to listen now eh? Well listen up close now. No wandering off, no rushing forward, because there are tons of Ancients moving about now. We move quickly, no exceptions. Can't keep up? Then you might as well stay here." Penance suddenly spoke up, "So... you really want to see her? I suppose I can let you." The Golduck smirked at him, "Besides she has been wanting to see you again, she was relieved when I said you were in the group. You all don't need the Gallade right now, right? There will be no enemies you all can't handle. You are Gold Tribe! Hehe, you can take it on." He gestured at Hanso. "Just follow me. She's working at the moment, but seeing you will do her some good."
With that the dark type took off through the small city. He headed down the streets, every so often making a turn before getting to a wall and tapping on it with his claws causing it to slowly open. "Stay quiet as well." He rushed out into the darkness. The way there wasn't that far to be frank. With Leon leading the group he timed it just right for them to be going through specific parts of the tunnels just as the Ancients passed through with their backs turned. The way there was dark, very dark. The Weavile made sure to keep his footsteps soft against the dirt and gravel. The tunnels twisted about here and there and there were times where it seemed that the Weavile was going about in a circle before heading in a different direction. However they quickly neared the area the Gold Crystal was to be kept in and Leon paused there. "Hm... this could be it. Yo, fur girl, if you have any ideas to get a door open then do so." He stayed near the back of the group. "I'll keep an eye out, just don't take too long."
Tunnels under Cape City
Zane nodded in understanding to Penance, who agreed to show TrueStriker to his sister. “Go ahead. We’ll be back to check on you later.” He turned, following Leon through the city, and past it, now beginning their descent into more, maze-like tunnels.
"Stay quiet as well." Zane heard Leon mention as they began their path there. The Gold Tribe members who had agreed to go with them were relatively quiet. Zane didn’t speak much as well, but he did get this moment to observe some of them as they proceeded to the Gold Crystal. Guardia had her face buried in the map she crudely drew. Even if they had Leon to navigate, Zane imagined her stubbornness and refusal to be betrayed again contributed to this action. He couldn’t blame her. Rather, he welcomed the act. This way, they’d be sure. The Keeper had actually decided to accompany them as well, which was a bit surprising, but something Zane should have expected. Despite him seemingly being as old as the Alpha Alliance, the Pokemon was tough. Or at least durable. Still, there was much mystery surrounding him. Zane had not looked at him for more than a few seconds before the old Alakazam turned to meet his gaze, and offer him a smile. Not sure how to reply in their current situation, he merely nodded in response, before turning back forward to look over the others. Hoodhide, Dryad, the Healer, the Prince of Light, and the others followed quietly. They probably didn’t want to alert any Ancient patrols that would likely be around. To Zane’s surprise, a bit after his thought on that, a patrol of Ancients walked close by them. Luckily, they were turned, putting their attention to a different path at that moment. Leon must have known their tendencies, which was quite impressive, as Zane had no doubt that the patrols would have likely been heavily increased due to everything happening recently with their losses.
The group passed by at least a dozen other patrols, but managed to pass by them successfully without any trouble. Zane smiled a little bit as he imagined how difficult it might have been if they had brought Sword and Shield with them as well, who waited for them back at the Madman’s hideout. He was a little anxious leaving his brother basically on his own, but knew no matter how despicable the Madman may have been, he wouldn’t try to harm him, because retaliation would have likely been swift and painful. Besides, there weren’t many foes who could have contended with Sword and Shield’s brute strength. He was able to almost successfully match the strength of the Sentinel Beserker back in Eternity City.
There was another turn that Leon took them on. Zane looked around the area, trying to see if he could recognize something. Guardia seemed to be doing the same, scrunching her nose in though, trying to recall a memory she had made as a child, a difficult task it was proving to be. The group walked a little forward, Zane trailing a little in the back of it as he tried to observe the area a bit more, trying to see if his dreams had any merit to them.
Suddenly, Zane stopped right in the middle of his walking as a large Pokemon walked right past him. It was a Garchomp, large and imposing in stature. The Pokemon wore a strange cape, one that matched the bluish grey exterior of his skin. Though he only saw it for a moment, Zane could also make out a fresh scar which occupied his star on his skull. The Garchomp wore a grin, a malicious one, as he passed right in front of Zane and then, as if ignoring the Bisharp, walked passed him into a tunnel path to the right of him. The Garchomp was Galleon Gamble, Emperor of the Order of Neoverse. Zane was about to scream and alert the others, but even those Gold Tribe members close to him seemed to be completely unaware of his presence. It was as if he was invisible to them all.
Or he wasn’t real. It must have been a vision inside of Zane’s head.
A bit up ahead, Leon stopped and spoke up, addressing Guardia. "Hm... this could be it. Yo, fur girl, if you have any ideas to get a door open then do so." He was standing near the back of the group now, but the area around harbored many different tunnels leading to over a possible dozen other paths. "I'll keep an eye out, just don't take too long."
Guardia nodded and stepped forward, looking around the rock formations, trying to see if she could remember where to go. Zane’s eyes, however, were fixed on the tunnel path that the vision Galleon went down. “…this way.” Zane said aloud, and walked down the path.
“Mmm…?” Guardia turned to see Zane already heading down that path. “Hey, Zane. Wait up. Where’re you goin?”
“It’s here…” He said again cryptically. He traveled down the path, following Galleon down the tunnel, which began to traveled down steeply, Zane watching his footing carefully as he followed the vision as if in a trance, completely tuned out to what anyone else said at that point. The Keeper followed behind Zane now, and Guardia behind him, and soon the others afterward. The path traveled deeper and deeper down, any light that supposedly came from the upper areas of the caverns now completely gone, and almost everything was pitch black. They proceeded down this path for about ten minutes, Zane wondering just how deep underground they were at this point. He thought he heard Guardia say something, but he didn’t listen. Or rather, he felt he couldn’t listen at this point. Despite it being total darkness however, Zane could somehow see the Galleon vision perfectly as he followed its footsteps down.
They proceeded like this for a while longer, before Zane suddenly started seeing a light at the very bottom of the path. It was small at first, then grew brighter with every step they took to close the distance. Eventually, the light grew so bright that had it not been for the rock formations around him, he wouldn’t have been able to tell if he inside a cavern, or outside under the sun.
As he reached the bottom of the path, the Galleon vision suddenly disappeared in front of him, making Zane pause his stride for a few seconds. He jumped off of the last few set of steps onto the bottom path. In front of him, an opening led into a clearing, a rather large one, which is where the light came from. Zane walked inside slowly, and upon entering, recognized the clearing instantly as the same one he saw in his dream a week prior. A large cave was inside, formations of rocks and earth decorating the sides. A single path led from the opening to the center of the room, and around that path was a pond of water. Surprisingly, it seemed completely fresh, as if no contamination or dirt had ever entered it. It was crystal clear, reflecting the ceiling above, which Zane found to be a smoothed stone, with no trace of any stalactites ever being there. This was contrary to the paths outside of this room, which was rocky, cracked, and filled with both stalagmites and stalactites. The water was calm and tranquil, having apparently not been disturbed in a long time. It almost looked…purified.
“Yea…yea, this is it. This is where my father took me. I remember…” Guardia said, twirling around in a circle at the sight of the large cavern. Then, her eyes fixed at the source of the light in the middle of the room. Zane too gazed upon the brilliant light, shooting off a bright color as its luster lit up the room. Lyn and Zane exchanged a momentary glance with each other, before Zane stepped forward and walked towards the light, almost positive he knew what lay in the center.
The first step he took towards the light provided him with a sensation he couldn’t explain. Inside, somewhere deep inside him, he felt warmth, as if he had been sitting in the cold darkness for so long, and all of a sudden, a fire had lit up around him. Every following step he took towards the bright object in the center of the room provided him with an augmentation of this sensation. He was beginning to feel as if all of his troubles, all the burdens and tribulations he carried with him were suddenly not as heavy as they were before he entered. He felt confidence infuse inside him. He felt harmony in his thoughts. He felt peace in his reasoning. But beyond all else, he felt he had something he could rely on now, that he dared not ask for earlier in this conflict: hope.
Zane reached the end of the path, and visible now was the object which was positioned upright on a plate, transparent in its appearance, and flawless. It gave off the bright yellow light which filled the room. It was the object they had been searching for, the one they needed. It was the Gold Crystal, the last hope of Valkaria.
He reached out to the brightness of the object. Despite its beauty and necessity, he felt a bit fearful of grabbing it. He retracted his hand for a mere moment, before finally touching the Gold Crystal, and grasping it in his arms. Finally, after everything they had been through, it was theirs.
However, at the moment that he made contact with the object, he felt a roar echo. Zane turned to Guardia, to by her reaction that she too heard the loud roar. It was heard throughout the chamber by everyone present, yet somehow, all of them knew it didn’t come from anywhere inside. It felt like the great bellow originated somewhere far away from there. For some reason, Zane had a theory where the noise came from.
“Apparently, someone’s angry.” Zane state to the others, a smiled forming on his face. “…or afraid.”
Silver City
Had there been any Pokemon of the Alpha Alliance across the streets of Silver City, they would have likely sprinted for the closest door they could find. Every Ancient in the city, no matter the species or size, were either shaking, trembling, quivering, or in deep shock or fear. The roar they heard was most pronounced, the loudest. It shook the ground they walked on, trembled the buildings at their sides. The dead, whose bones still littered parts of the streets, cracked. Glass from windows followed suit.
Inside the palace, a Haxorus now stood over his high seat. Sentry of the Sentinels, and another hooded Pokemon occupied the room with him.
“They have it…” Auron muttered in a low whisper, the boom of his voice moments before still shaking the foundations of the mighty citadel.
“Indeed.” Sentry replied. The Scizor crossed his arms, observing the building as he marveled at the strength the great behemoth had just displayed. “I suppose this will advance our plans quite a bit.”
Auron looked over the two Pokemon standing before him. He composed himself, and sat down on his throne. “… you two will go to Cape City immediately.”
“And what would you have us do, Lord Auron?” Sentry asked the Haxorus, who calmly sat back down onto his throne, his outburst he displayed a mere moment before was now gone without a trace.
“…you will…bring chaos.”
Paladin
Underground
As Paladin walked ahead of the others in the group, he followed the Abra's every step. The Abra turned right into another tunnel, then stopped abruptly to open another secret passage hidden in a wall. How many of these passages were there, anyway? It seemed impossible that the Madman had successfully found and mapped them all.
Paladin suddenly crouched down. The others didn't know why, but he did. Footsteps. Paladin was a Ground type, so he could easily detect any movement on the earth beneath him, and he detected the movement of something other than their group: Ancients. He could sense that they were close. It would be extremely hard to hide in this situation. "Abra!" Paladin whispered, as he motioned for the others to be quiet. "Ancients are coming. Do you have anywhere to hide?" The Abra started running all of a sudden, and Paladin tried to follow as quickly as possible. The little psychic stopped so quickly that Paladin almost stepped on him by accident. He turned to a wall and tapped it twice, causing another secret entrance to appear. The footsteps were getting louder. "Hurry up," Paladin ordered, as everyone made their way into the secret passage. Paladin himself went in last, due to the fact that he could barely fit into the tunnel.
"Is everyone here?" Paladin said as the Abra closed the door to the secret entrance. Paladin counted the members of his team. All four were here, as expected. They waited silently for the footsteps of the ancients to pass after that. None of the Ancients spoke to each other, they just grunted as they passed, like common idiots. As soon as their steps were out of earshot, the group's guide tapped the wall twice and made it slide open. Paladin came out first, expecting his group to follow. As soon as they were all safe and accounted for, the Abra started up again into the tunnels.
After about ten minutes after the near-encounter with the Ancients. Paladin slipped back to the end of the group. He noticed the Sawk, Gallant, who had apparently been Allora's mentor in the old days. He also found Speculum, a Ditto who had shifted into the form of a Grovyle. Speculum seemed occupied with things in his own mind, so Paladin turned his gaze towards Gallant. The Pokemon was obviously a seasoned veteran member of the Gold Tribe. "Gallant," Paladin said. The Sawk turned his attention to the Golurk, looking upwards right into his eyes. "Yeah?" he responded in a rather gruff tone. "What have I missed over the past year?"
The explanation was long. Very long. In fact, it lasted the rest of the journey. Gallant explained the journey from the beginning, where only Zane and his small team Gold Tribesmen had set out to restore peace to the Alpha Alliance, to their victories with the help of the Alpha Alliance, to the trek to the Golden Catacombs, to their coming here, and everything in between. Paladin was most intrigued by these Gold and Silver Crystals. He remembered something about them, but what? He could recall hearing of the Gold Crystal in the old days, before he lost his memory, yet the Silver Crystal remained a mystery to him.
Then, the pain of a memory came to him again. Once again, the pain did not originate from his mind, but from his dark side. The entire left side of Paladin's body burned with pain, and the giant Golurk found himself falling to his knees on the ground, grunting from the pain. His deformed eyes tightly shut and his fists clenched.
You won't win, Saul.
I wouldn't be so sure of that, Auron.
Hehehe. HAHAHAHA! With this new-found power, my friend, I'm invincible. What makes you think you can beat me?
You killed our brothers and sisters. You killed your own kind!
No, dear brother, I killed your kind.
Shut up!
Haha. You see, Paladin, like everything else, you can be broken.
RAAAAARGH!
Images of a battle appeared vividly before Paladin's eyes. A battle between himself and the Haxorus known as Auron. The feelings of hate from that battle returned with a vengeance, as Paladin watched the fight playing out before him like a play. By the time it was finished, Paladin lay on the ground, barely breathing, with the horrible sight of a Haxorus before him.
Now, you will be broken.
NOOOO!
Paladin felt one last searing pain in his left side before the whole thing ceased. Everything was quiet, all eyes on him once again. He was tired of these constant outbursts, and felt somewhat foolish because they were happening when he should be rescuing Veletra. Still, he had no control over them, and anything that reminded him of his past would trigger a memory. Still, thinking back on this memory, Paladin found that it must have had some significance. He had taken on Auron in single combat and lost. Perhaps this was when he had lost his memory? "Come on, son, get up! We're almost there," Gallant encouraged. It was time for this nonsense to end. Now, they would rescue Veletra.
For the little of the journey that remained, Paladin explained to Gallant why this was happening to him. Gallant understood, and Paladin found that he was getting along well with the old Sawk. He hung at the end of the group now, not wanting to crush someone if something like this were to happen again.
They were here. About time, too. Paladin marched up to the front of the group to see a ladder leading up to a hatch on the ceiling of the tunnel. He allowed the others to climb the ladder first, fearing that he might destroy it with his weight so that nobody else could climb up. When Paladin's turn came, he found that the steel ladder was surprisingly tough, and even though he made a few dents in the metal bars with his overgrown feet, he was able to make it to the top and through the hatch.
The group found themselves in a rather small, badly lit room. They were in a prison. Paladin guessed that this part of the tunnel must have been used by the Madman to smuggle his allies out of the prison. Paladin closed the hatch, looking back down into the tunnel to see that their Abra guide had disappeared. Paladin concealed the hatch with a dusty old carpet he found nearby. He doubted it would do a good job of hiding it, but this place was so poorly attended that it didn't matter. "Alright," he whispered, "let's find Veletra."
Levina ~ Church
Levina easily dodged the String Shot that was fired at her as she locked onto the Ariados’s position. “Got you sucker! You’re mine now!” she smirked. Levina started firing a barrage of Shadow Balls at the Pokemon trying to knock it down to her level.
Allora ~ Prison
“Thank you Paladin.” Allora whispered and smiled at him. She was grateful he would take time out of his life to help her find her parents. She all expected everyone to split ways once this ‘war’ was over. She watched him carefully as he went off to follow the Abra. Allora then felt Astrid’s hand on her shoulder in a supportive pat and listened to her. It seemed like she had also lost those who were very dear to her. “Thank you Astrid.” Allora gave her a small smile to keep her from worrying. Allora’s attention was drawn to the Abra by his smart remark about Paladin exploding. She wanted nothing more than to beat the crap out of the small, cocky Pokemon. She was about to say something when Paladin stopped suddenly. He mentioned something about Ancients coming and then herded everyone into a secret tunnel the Abra opened up. After the close call everyone followed suit once again. Allora watched as Paladin buddied up to Gallant and seemed to be in a deep conversation. She thought that maybe the two knew each other from back then. Paladin then slowed and followed the group. Allora glanced at him every once in a while as his actions continued to confuse her even more. Finally the group reached a ladder and Paladin helped everyone up the ladder. The room that they were in now gave Allora the creeps. She never was in a prison and thanked Arceus for it. Allora waited for Paladin before whispering to the group. “Where exactly in the city are we?” She knew of some secret paths she had discovered on her own. But if what Penance had said was true, then they probably already knew of them. Still, she thought it would be beneficial to point them out in case they didn’t know of them. All she had to know is where exactly in the city they were.
Penance suddenly spoke up, "So... you really want to see her? I suppose I can let you." The Golduck smirked at him, "Besides she has been wanting to see you again, she was relieved when I said you were in the group. You all don't need the Gallade right now, right? There will be no enemies you all can't handle. You are Gold Tribe! Hehe, you can take it on." He gestured at Hanso. "Just follow me. She's working at the moment, but seeing you will do her some good."
“Go ahead. We’ll be back to check on you later.” Zane and the others then left, finally following Leon without further argument.
Personally, Hanso was more worried that the Gold Tribe might not have a quick way out of trouble, than he was about them fighting. Then again, they had the Keeper, who might know how to teleport them out. Besides, with the tunnels narrowing the flow of a possible Ancient army, the Gold Tribe could fight them off. The worry there would be if they ran into Sentinels or traps.
Before they could get out of range, Hanso anchored his telepathic network to a few of the Gold Tribe members, including Zane, the Keeper, and Bane. He then spun out a line between those few and himself. If it all held, they would be able to think between each other, and a few of them could send something back to Hanso if they needed to. All assuming that it holds, he thought to himself. It would all dissolve, of course, if he couldn't hold it on his end, and if none of the other telepathics supported it. Being knocked out was just one possible cause.
Hanso then turned and followed Penance as they left to see his sister. Several months of searching - though the last two had been spent with the Gold Tribe - were finally over. Once they got back together, they could accomplish more in this war against the Silver Tribe!
Unless this is just another trap or illusion. The thought was new, but Hanso didn't push it away as he might have once. He would be a fool twice over if he fell for another illusion set up by Penance and his Psychics so soon. What would be the point, though? That first had, supposedly, been some sort of test to see how they'd fare against the Silver Crystal, or something along those lines. The Psychics would also realize that Hanso would be on the lookout for more such illusions that directly involved him, so why bother?
Enough! You can ascertain whether it's the real thing once you get to her. Hanso glanced at Penance. Much of what Brynn had done before the invasion had involved healing, though it wasn't the only thing she did. The Golduck's...network, didn't seem to be fighting the Ancients head-on, unless he had magically conjured up an army to rival that of the Silver Tribe. That ruled out the idea that Hanso's twin would be focused on nothing but healing Pokemon after Pokemon.
Before he could stop himself, Hanso said, "Thank you, Penance. If you don't mind me asking, though, what has my sister been doing?"
Penance 'Madman' Malum - Madman's Home
Penance glanced back at him, "Oh helping us here and there. She's smart, you should be very proud of her. She's proud of you too." He said with a smile. "She is a keen one, able to help around with planning, being able to help the healers here and there, and even got some weapons made." He nodded as he turned a corner. "You know... she's not bad at all. She makes a great Affiliate." He said as he just stopped at a door at one of the small buildings and opened it up. Inside was a Gardevoir who was messing around with some tools, but as the door opened the tools she had been levitating dropped from the air, clattering against the ground. "Oh... Pen-" She stopped speaking right there and looked right at Hanso. "H-Hanso...?" She asked out. She turned in her seat to look at him. "Hanso?" She asked again... almost as if she couldn't believe the Gallade was right there.
Get the **** out of here! - Tunnels
Though the Gold Tribe's happy moment would wait as Leon rushed inside. "I hope you all got what you came for! There is a ****load of Ancients heading here right now! Whatever sounded... it's drawing them to us!" The Weavile flailed his arms, "Look either we leave now or you die! Come on!" Leon wasted no time in turning about and running right into the darkness as the sound of footsteps and clattering rocks echoed all around them. "Get moving!" Leon shouted as he faded into the darkness.
Prison Team Super Stealth Ninja Adventures! - Prison
"I think though you might want to try aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll the way over there!" A voice sounded above them. Looking up they would see the Abra hanging near a few pipes from the ceiling. "Though... the plan is now in motion. You might want to stand back from some of the more... explosive cells." He giggled. A second later the Abra disappeared...
Revolution de Alpha!
The Flash hit spot on and the other Sableye cried out in surprise and quickly covered up his eyes as best as he could, wobbling about on that rooftop as he rubbed at the gems as fast as he could to recover from the bright spots that plagued his vision. His vision wasn't the only thing that would plague him now... in fact his stomach now felt rather queasy as the Toxic hit him. He almost barfed right then and there due to the poison, but he quickly swallowed down his bile and threw another Shadow Ball at the Sentinel that taunted him so.
As the Ambipom fell down and even hit himself the Toxicroak uncovered himself from his arms. Seeing his chance the frog readied a different attack. He took in a deep breath of air causing his cheeks to puff out and then spat out a Toxic at the monkey.
The Ariados glared at the Jolteon but quickly let out a cry as Shadow Balls quickly began to hit into its body. The Ariados was swept up in the confusion and tried to shoot out another String Shot when the ledge she was on crumbled and the bug fell down. There was a thud as the spider splatted against concrete and ceased moving.
Fred's eyes opened up in time to see the blob of Poison coming at him, ready to seriously hamper his ability to fight. Well that wasn't going to happen. Having already prepared an Ice Punch, Fred instead punched the blob of poison, freezing it with the Icy energy before it had anytime to poison him. Then he hyperextended his fist, sending back the chunk of frozen poison. He knew that this would only serve as a distraction, but it was a good distraction. Continuing his attack, Fred charged from behind the poison and prepared a Fire Punch, ready to burn him right in the gut.
Cape City Prison
Paladin listened as the various members of the group asked questions, each question overlapping the next. Allora asked where they were, while Gallant asked if there were any Ancients here, and Speculum inquired about where the Abra had gone. At least one question was answered when everyone's attention was directed towards the ceiling, where the Abra who had so suddenly disappeared was now hanging. "I think though you might want to try aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll the way over there!" Paladin looked up to see the little psychic with a giggle in his words. "Though... the plan is now in motion. You might want to stand back from some of the more... explosive cells." And with that, he was gone. Paladin hoped that, this time, he would stay gone. He'd had enough of the little nuisance for one day, although he was grateful towards him for leading them this far, however much annoying he may have been. "To answer your questions," Paladin began, "no, there don't seem to be any Ancients. At least not yet..." he looked around to verify that his answer was correct. "I don't know exactly where we are, but this is a prison. It's not the torturehouse, it's simply a building used for temporary containment of prisoners. At least, that would be my guess."
Accatosh "Blitzkrieg" Corronis
Accatosh let the rest of the group leave to find the Gold Crystal... Accatosh stared at the map of Cape City trying to determine other tactics he could add to this plan of theirs, Accatosh's mind was also busy figuring out the new Golurk, calling himself Paladin. Accatosh heard a sound of things dropping to the ground. Accatosh ignored it and continued looking at the map. he determined that a good place to hit... and probably blow up would be the Statue of that beast Auron in the main square. yes Accatosh just called Auron a beast... a mindless, cold-hearted beast. Accatosh decided that if anything they would need to eliminate the statue, it would demoralize the Ancients if only a little bit. Before Accatosh could get up and get to Penance to sound his idea, He felt himself get flipped onto his back and a claw landed on his chest, pinning him to the ground. Accatosh looked at the claw, the claw of a Salamence, the Dragon attached to the claw was green like him, she was slightly smaller than him, and she had a gold colored heart shaped birth mark on her forehead.
"Don't you EVER do that to me again!" She yelled, "you had scared me half to death, with your Dissapearance!" a more worried tone came into her voice. Accatosh looked her in the eye and saw a mix of emotions: anger, sadness, and joy mostly. Accatosh laughed for a good three seconds then smiling, "good to see you to Veltra." Accatosh responded, "even better to see your safe and unharmed." He raised his tail, pounded it on the ground and flipped the duo over to where she was on her back and He was standing over her. he let her stand up, she stood up and kissed him on the cheek. joy was in her eyes.
"Come on I want to show you a friend of mine." Veltra said eagerly as the two walked down the pathway. they approached a house, where from what Accatosh could tell was where Penance and Truestriker went. this was confirmed as when they entered the doorway there the two were with a Gardevoir, with a shocked look on her face. around the Gardevoir was a variety of tools on the ground.
Snype chuckled at the opposing Sableye as he used detect once more to avoid the oncoming Shadow Ball. With the Poison, Snype had a huge advanatage over his opponent now. Some challenge. This Sableye was a real pushover so far. Snype didn't notice how everyone else was doing but since nobody was giving off a cry of death, he assumed that everybody was Okay.
"This is your idea of a rebellion? Your look like your about to puke! Kehe. Stand still for a second and I'll end your misery right here." Snype taunted. He quickly ran up to his opponent and swiped a claw at him. It wasn't any particular attack or anything, just a bare bones physical strike. If anything, Snype could try to throw this Sableye off the roof top in his condition. Snype however wanted to finish the job before he threw him off though... he wanted to scare the poor soul enough so nobody else would try anything fishy.
Reunited at last! Wish I could say it was all pretty and happy, though...
~~~~~
With the things Penance said about his sister, Hanso almost missed the last bit: "She makes a great Affiliate."

Wait, Affiliate? That was more worrying than the fact that his sister made some wea-- Then the door was opened, and Hanso stood in the doorway. Inside was a Gardevoir who was messing around with some tools, but as the door opened the tools she had been levitating dropped from the air, clattering against the ground. "Oh... Pen-" She stopped speaking right there and looked right at Hanso. "H-Hanso...?" She asked out. She turned in her seat to look at him. "Hanso?" She asked again... almost as if she couldn't believe the Gallade was right there.

"Brynn?" Hanso didn't move from the doorway, not physically at least. He reached out with his mind, afraid that this was simply another illusion to torment him. It all checked out, though... Oh, for the-- Hanso stepped into the room and embraced his sister, who hugged him back from her seat. After some moments, he said, "We need to talk."

Brynn nodded, then saw the two Salamence over Hanso's shoulder. "One moment," she muttered to him. As Hanso pulled away to get a seat for himself, the Gardevoir made introductions, her voice slightly trembling from her initial shock. "Hanso, this is Veltra. Veltra, this is..." Brynn cleared her throat. "This is Hanso, my brother."

Hanso set the chair down and nodded to the smaller Salamence. "Hello, Veltra, Accatosh." He then sat in his chair facing the Gardevoir; he wasn't in the mood for chatting with anyone but Brynn. Whether Accatosh or Veltra would be insulted by being ignored...they would deal with that afterwards. With the ease of Psychic twins, they slid into their own mental 'room', where they could talk without others hearing.

To the others in the room, it looked like the two Psychics were holding a staring contest with each other. Hanso still kept some of his awareness in the real room, enough to have an idea of what the others did. Their mental conversation wouldn't take as long as a vocal one, there was that...
~~~~~
In the 'white room', Hanso and Brynn stood facing each other. "What're you doing here?!" the Gallade asked vehemently. "You're an Affiliate now?!"
"Why did you neglect your mental training?!" The Gardevoir matched him in vehemence and tone. "It only takes a quick peek to see that your mind's not as sharp as it should be!"
They glared at each other for a few moments before Hanso shook his head. "Nice to see that we fell into bickering so easily," he said, falling into a chair behind him. There was no doubt now that it was her. They were the same height, and Brynn's grey eye was the mirror of Hanso's. She still wore the small gem that was secure around her neck. "Where have you been, though?" Hanso asked. Some of his anger had drained away.
Brynn sat as well, folding her hands in her lap. She seemed to be calmer, as well. "I should ask the same of you. Oldest first?" She smiled as she asked.
"Go right ahead." Hanso grinned as well; they'd always joked about which of them was older, though they knew it was him. His grin faded as he continued. "Okay...gonna have to summarize for now, but here goes." The Gallade then told an abbreviated version of his story. How he'd searched for Brynn before being captured and left in a torturehouse; how he and the Gold Tribe traveled to Poseida Ruins and took back Eternity City; the ambushes just outside the Thieves' Forest and the retaking of Albia; what the Gold Tribe found in the Catacombs; their subsequent journey to Cape City.
Brynn was quiet as she listened, other than a few questions that she asked for clarification. When Hanso finished, the Gardevoir sighed. "I suppose it's my turn, then. Hanso, please keep an open mind."
That set more alarms ringing in Hanso's head. "What do you mean?" he asked, leaning forward in his seat.
"Quiet." Brynn looked down at her hands before speaking further. "At least you got out of Shine City free. The Ancients...they restrained themselves enough to capture me before I could teleport out. I never woke up with a clear head, at least not until I'd been moved to the...the torturehouse." Her voice caught before she could continue. "You understand what they do, Hanso, I hadn't known you would."
Hanso moved to his sister's side, his chair reforming beneath him as he took one of Brynn's hands. "Did they do anything...permanent?" The thought of the horrid place he'd been imprisoned in brought a dull ghost-pain in his leg.
Brynn nodded, not looking up. "My legs won't ever be as strong as they once were." She smiled a bit, her voice strengthening. "I'll get over it eventually. One of the torturers was too cocky. A bit of mental pushing, and he revealed that we were in the torturehouse near Cape City. That cut down on the distance I had to cross when teleporting. You remember that Kirlia we talked to in Cape, some years back? I remembered her house distinctly.
"She tried everything she knew, but my legs were beyond repair. You know that I wouldn't have settled without doing something. Well..."
Brynn paused and looked up at Hanso. "We didn't know she was working for the Madman."
When she didn't continue, Hanso asked, "What next?" He didn't like what the Madman had done in the past, but he would listen to Brynn before voicing his thoughts.
"I was...convinced, to start helping out. I didn't see any other real option." Looking at Hanso's face, Brynn added hastily, "No, they didn't touch me in any way, don't go raging on them. I was hesitant at first, but...when Penance showed up and talked with me..."
"You became an Affiliate." Hanso's voice was dull, a sick feeling in his stomach. "So you started working with them just because of Penance's persuasiveness?"
Brynn shook her head. "No, he only confirmed what I'd already been thinking. Brother, haven't you noticed certain things about the Gold Tribe? What they do, how they plan? What they'll do once the Silver Tribe is dead and gone?"
No. Hanso pulled his hand away and turned his face away, but he couldn't deny it to her face.
"I can't get some of the things that the torturers said out of my head, things about the Gold Tribe. I even had a few doubts before the invasion. Penance, he... Don't think that I've forgiven the Madman for everything, but he helped me see the Gold Tribe for what it really is." Brynn paused, considering the Gallade. "Hanso, they're only going to replace the Silver Tribe as Valkaria's dictators."
"I can't believe this," Hanso interrupted, standing up to pace. "Yes, I've had the thought that the Gold Tribe isn't as upright as it should be, at least before the invasion, but what makes you think Zane and the others want to become dictators? How would they do it, anyway? Have the army at their command by threatening the Generals and anyone else who disagrees?" The Gardevoir raised an eyebrow at this. "Why am I bothering? You're as stubborn as a mountain when you want to be!" The worst part was that Hanso was starting to agree with a few things about the Gold Tribe.
"So are you," Brynn replied calmly, her voice hard. "Tell me this. If the Gold Tribe really cared about their beliefs and the Alpha Alliance, then why did they begin passing new members for their fighting ability?"
"We don't have time for this," Hanso muttered, falling back into his seat, facing Brynn from a few feet away. "You realize that you sounded like Delnir Blake, don't you? I'll admit that I've had my own thoughts. Just...don't ruin it by trying to convert me to the Madman's side, okay?" As an afterthought, the Gallade added with a frown, "Why's it cold in here?"
"What?" Startled, Brynn looked around. A small circle around her had seemingly frosted over. "Oh. A story for another time." Her gaze returned to Hanso. "I wish we had more time to talk, but..."
"There's a common enemy to fight," Hanso finished. "And there's somethin' happening up in the City, whatever it is. We'll talk again, when it's done."
~~~~~
When Hanso stood up from their talk, he noticed that the same small radius had frosted over in the real room as well. It brought to mind the fight against Frostbite. "See ya later," Hanso said, embracing his sister one more time before turning away. The frost didn't take long to melt.

They had work to do.

Accatosh "Blitzkrieg" Corronis

The Gardevoir made introductions, from Veltra to Hanso. Hanso Said his hello with a nod of his head, clearly having more important things on his mind and not in the mood for talk. Accatosh simply nodded his head back at the Gallade, "Truestriker" was his only response. then the two went into silent conversation. Veltra in the meantime mentioned the Gardevoir was called Brynn. Accatosh looked at the two pokemon. they appeared related. Accatosh Turned his head to Penance and whispered, "what if we destroyed the Statue of Auron. that would demoralize the Ancients and the Silver Tribe if only a little. and it would pull more pokemon into helping us fight to free the city...." after he paused for the moment he decided to put this out, "I hope that after this war is over we can be friends promote peace and liberty for all pokemon in Valkaria... you are an impressive individual... how about a new Title? 'Enigma' perhaps?

Levina ~ Cape City Church

Levina stopped the barrage of Shadow Balls when the Ariados fell from its perch. To her surprise the Ariados was able to hit her feet with its last attempt at a String Shot. A large smirk appeared on her face when she heard the stomach-turning squish of the bug Pokemon. Levina watched the Pokemon for a few seconds before frying the sticky thread attached to her feet with her electricity. She slowly approached the Ariados and stopped a few feet from the body. “Pathetic attempt at an ambush.” Levina hissed and proceeded to fry the Ariados’s body to a crisp with a well-aimed Thunder. She could hear the others fighting their own opponents and peeked in one of the windows. Levina watched as D-I and Snype worked on finishing their foes. She was impressed with D-I’s abilities and giggled giddily as the urge to fight him filled her. ‘He would be an amazing prey to hunt down. That would be one heck of a battle.’ Levina thought as weaved her way back into the church; careful to stay out of everyone’s way. “Hey Snype, hurry and finish him off would you? I’m bored now that my foe is barbecued.” She sat back and continued to watch everyone.

Allora ~ Prison

“Explosive? Are you nuts!! You will draw attention to us if you set off explosives here. We are supposed to stay hidden. That was the whole point in creeping through the tunnels.” Allora slightly snapped at the annoying Abra. She was becoming tired with his attitude very, very quickly. Allora let out a growl when the Abra disappeared on them. “Well……I guess we are on our own now. Paladin do you still have your map? Maybe we can figure out exactly where we are at.” She approached him but made sure to keep some distance between her and the prison cells. Allora to the few seconds to look around the room as she waited for Paladin’s response. The room gave her the creeps and she had the urge to get out of the building. Who knew what or who was still lurking in the prison’s corridors? She didn’t want to stay around long enough to find out.

Cape City Prison

Paladin sighed. To him, it didn't really matter where they were, only Veletra mattered. Still, he pulled out the map that Excadrill had given him on their last encounter, and examined it. The map was of the tunnels, not the surface, but there was a small dot at the end of one of the tunnel passages on the map. Paladin could only guess that this was their current location. "It's very vague, but I think this dot could be our location," he said. "Let's just get in and out as fast as possible. If the Sentinels or even the Madman have set up explosives anywhere, we're gonna have to be extra careful."

With that, Paladin started further into the prison. The main section was just a hallway with prison cells on either side. The cells were small and unfurnished, and some even contained the smell of rot and decay. The room was so dimly lit that Paladin decided to use his eyes as a light to guide the others with. Most cells were cloaked in darkness and had no inhabitants, although a few contained Pokemon of all kinds. In one cell, there was a small, purple light burning as dimly as the lanterns that lit the room. When Paladin pointed his eyes at the source of the light, it revealed a small, wax-like figure with a fire burning atop its head. It revealed a Litwick. The Litwick stared at them with both sorrowful and menacing eyes, which caused Paladin to start walking away faster. "Don't be fooled. They could have rigged any of these cells to blow, and these prisoners could just be illusions," Paladin warned the others as they continued along.

Suddenly, a soft moan came from a nearby cell. Paladin rushed over to it, recognizing the voice as that of a woman. When they found the source of the sound, the group halted and peered inside. Paladin's eyes revealed...not what they had been looking for. Inside the cell was a Nidoqueen, moaning softly and consistently. She peered upwards to face the Gold Tribe. Her face was covered in scars here and there, and what looked like a whiplash mark was on her stomach. "We have to help her!" Speculum whispered. As much as Paladin agreed with him, they couldn't. The Abra's promise of an explosion was too risky. After all, if Cape City was successfully overtaken, these Pokemon would be rescued.

"RAARGH!" The Nidoqueen roared. She was angry, very much so. Without warning, she lunged at the group, who immediately backed up as she crashed against the steel bars of the prison. Paladin had forgotten that some of these Pokemon might be in here for a reason. "Come on...let's go," Paladin ordered, and began to walk away from the psychotic prisoner.

Astrid
Cape City Prison

Astrid had been following Allora, toe for toe, speeding up where she should and slowing down when she did. The talk of explosives, Ancients and a now being inside a prison was all too much at the moment; it made her draw in on herself only hoping to stay safe and lend a hand when needed.

As she followed the Ninetales into the prison she kept a stiff vine-like hand on her satchel and the other arm lay, lax, by her side. Her appearance was relaxed but on the inside she was frantic and anxious; she wanted to get out of the underground - and fast. Astrid had spent too much time away from the sun, her plant self was becoming depressed underground and being deprived of water it was even worse. Her situation was all too bad she sought comfort in Paladin and Allora, reminding herself of her importance to the group when she began to doubt it.

The moans and groans of psychotic and illusionary prisoners was another obstacle in her mind. She wanted to help the sorry eyes and weeping pokemon but her senses told her better. There were explosions rigged to these cells - that's what she had heard anyway - and any movement towards them would result in the death of the whole squad. Paladin broke his own rule however when he approached the cell of a moaning Nidoqueen; the pokemon lay in the corroded and neglected cell, whose bars were rusted and tainted with age. The entire place was tainted with age and harmed with neglect but it was still quiet. The silence was interrupted by the terrifying roar of the Nidoqueen.

Astrid shook in her petals and leaves, her very being was rocked by the way the Nidoqueen rampaged in its cell. The Lilligant was spooked, to say the least. With a whimper she followed Allora - who followed Paladin - again, she stayed close, closer than ever; her head flicked back and forth at any moan or groan of a real or fake pokemon. "Are we almost out of here?" Astrid whimpered out to the back of Allora.

"I hope you all got what you came for! There is a ****load of Ancients heading here right now! Whatever sounded... it's drawing them to us!" The Weavile flailed his arms, "Look either we leave now or you die! Come on! Get moving!"

Zane took the Gold Crystal and placed it into his bag, making sure it was safe and secure before proceeding after the Weavile, although a hand on his shoulder stopped his movement.

"Hold, Vigil." The Keeper said. As Zane turned to meet his gaze, he saw the old Alakazam smiling. "If it's all the same to you, I'd rather not walk all that distance back. If you'd all gather around..." He closed his eyes, as the Gold Tribe members formed around him, and a moment later, they all disappeared in a flash of light. Zane closed his eyes at the brilliance of the light, but as soon as he opened them, they were back in the Madman's base. In fact, they were right in front of the Madman, who stood outside of a door to a small house.

As he observed the Golduck, he felt himself composed, much more than before. He felt he would be able to work with him for now. He wondered to himself what had compelled this change inside of him. Had he been distracted enough to the point that he had cooled down, or was the Gold Crystal's...special effects what assisted this tranquility inside of him?

"Well...we got it." He said to Penace. "Now, I think it's time we take back this city."

Gallant shook his head at the insane Nidoqueen. There were those even among the times of war. In fact, he would guess that as a product of this war, the sanity of many might be shaken. It was a natural biproduct of conflict. He had seen it happen before.

As they proceeded further into the cells, something...rather peculiar happened. A cold touch was felt on Gallant's shoulder. At first, he thought he was grabbed by a Pokemon, perhaps from one of the cells. However, as he looked back, he saw nothing there. He then looked at his shoulder, and saw a drop of iced water on it. He was bewildered for a moment, stopping in his tracks at the end of the group, but realizing it must have come from the pipes. After clearing that up, he walked behind the others once more. But again, a droplet fell on the top of his head. He felt the chill of it as it made contact, and then another, followed by another, and another.

"What in the-" Gallant began to say, lifting his hand up to meet the fall of the droplets. As some fell on his extended arm, he saw not droplets of water, but of snow. It had begun to snow...inside of the prison. He only knew of a handful of people who could have been doing that, and the one in particular who he thought may be behind it didn't bode well for the group. "Well..." Gallant said, gazing upon the others, crossing his arms. "This sure as hell can't be good. Come on, we've got to find that prisoner fast!"

Accatosh "Blitzkrieg" Corronis

Before the Golduck could respond... if he was going to. There was a bright flash, then all of the other members of the Gold Tribe that went on the mission to find the Gold Crystal appeared right in front of him.

"Well...we got it." Vigil said to Penace. "Now, I think it's time we take back this city."
Veltra was startled by their appearance and hugged closer to Accatosh for protection. Accatosh, almost instictively moved his tail around her in a protective manner... although there was no reason for such. "good to see you back Vigil... and in one peace." he said, turning then to Veltra he whispered, "It's alright Veltra, their friends." Veltra moved slightly into the view of the other pokemon, but still hung close to Accatosh. "Vigil, Tribe Siblings," Accatosh started, "This is Veltra... my girlfriend," Veltra's eyes lit up to hear that, she then kissed Accatosh. Accatosh, kissed her back and then they lovingly bumped heads.

After all that was done, Accatosh's expression turned serious. "well I think all of our planning has been done... as much as we could do anyway... time to prepare for war." there was a note of anticipation in his voice.

Allora ~ Prison

Allora took a step back when the crazed Nidoqueen attacked the bars of her cell, trying to grab Paladin. A shiver when down her spine at the thought of being locked up in this dreadful place. Quietly and carefully she continued to follow Paladin through the maze of cells. After a bit she heard Astrid’s soft voice escape her body. "Are we almost out of here?" Allora looked back and smiled at her in an attempt to calm her nerves. “Once we find Veletra we can leave. So keep your eyes out for a Mismagius.” Allora’s attention was drawn to Gallant as he flinched at something that looked like snow. “Snow? Inside?” She mumbled quietly. "Well..." Gallant said crossing his arms. "This sure as hell can't be good. Come on, we've got to find that prisoner fast!" Immediately Allora noticed a bad feeling swelling up in the pit of her stomach. Gallant wasn’t one to lose his cool quickly so the fact that he was a little uptight just proved something wasn’t right. “We could cover more ground in small groups of two or three but our risk goes up.” Allora quietly said to the group and addressed her old mentor. “What do you think we should do? Should we split up?”

Penance 'Madman' Malum

Penance just stared as Truestriker quickly exited and Brynn quietly hung her head. Penance patted her shoulder, "Hey... don't be sad Brynn. I can see it on his face... he's at that same point you were at... just a little talk and I'm sure he'll change his views." He said with a small smile. The Gardevoir offered a small smile to the Golduck. "Thank you Penance, but let me finish. It's important you know." Penance just nodded, "Of course. Hopefully there won't be anymore-" In a flash the entire Gold Tribe appeared just outside the the door. "-distractions." He muttered.

"Well...we got it. Now, I think it's time we take back this city." Vigil said.

Penance nodded, "Good, at least it didn't take too long. Though, the plan is already in action. Vigil, with you holding the gold crystal, we'll need your help and presence. It's a small part... but if it works." He smirked, "It would be possible to free all the Sentinels from the Silver Crystal then. Even Auron could be freed, but we need to act quickly and of course you need to be a part of the plan too. Truestriker too, speaking of which." He whistled and a moment later a Fearow flew over the area. "Find the Gallade and bring him over to the psychics!" He shouted up to her.

"This way Vigil. You'll need to meet the team. Everyone else, go to the main meeting area. It's where we were earlier with the map. It's big you can't miss it. You'll all head out with different squads or such... depending on what you all want to do of course."

Penance began to walk off with the Bisharp. "Vigil... I gathered with the psychics we had yesterday. We are convinced we can free at least a Sentinel from the influence of the crystal. We are teleporting to a random location we already picked out. The psychics also have a theory. If they connect with the mind of a Sentinel then it is possible that the demon in the crystal will try to latch onto their minds and take control of them. There is also the possibility that they can act quick enough to slip into the Sentinel's mind and find where the demon has affected them and try to remove it with all of their strength. Or it could kill them instantly... depends like I said. This will show us important information.

It will tell us whether or not the Sentinels have any free will left and whether they can be freed. If we can free one we can get a wealth of information from him or her about what Auron is planning, where their armies come from, what happened when they wen to go get the crystal, even discover if our Cacturne friend is the one behind all of this. Also the psychics have already erased their own minds. All of the information about our operations, our locations, the tunnel system, and even various places they have been in other cities are all gone just in case the demon tries to latch on and take any information about our plans and such. If this goes through they already know where they stored their information and will be able to go retrieve it. Not only that instead of killing the Sentinels we can free them one by one. Simply teleport them away and make them free. This is where you and the gold crystal come in. With the gold crystal it will no doubt weaken the silver crystal's influence on the Sentinel and make easier to free him or her. Don't worry, when the time comes someone will port you over to the area. You simply have to be in the area and we'll handle everything else from there, got it?" He asked him as they arrived to where the psychics from before were.

"The plan is starting now Vigil. Will you join us and make sure we can free a former brother or sister of yours? Oh, you also need to make a decision fast." He asked. "A kill all order has been issued up top so we have limited time and there is also the fact that the Alpha army is heading over. Don't worry, for now my Affiliates are on it to slow them down just a bit. We need them to head in just at the right time so that there is no massacre with or without the army."

Prison Riot

As the group of Gold Tribe slowly moved through the cells there were those shares of pokemon who simply looked broken. And yet... there were some that were moving about. In one cell they passed an Umbreon with an injured leg slowly began to scuttle forward and yet in another cell there was a Mienfoo moved up to see the Gold Tribe that walked by. Those with moving occupants all approached their cell doors and began to push something against the locks. Immediately all of the occupants moved back against the walls into their cells, and began to poke at the ground even. Simultaneously they uncovered the dirt to show rugs and pulled away the rugs and ducked into small tunnels just as their cell doors blew open with small explosions. The 'prisoners' got out of their cells as other pokemon, this time clad in all sorts of gear and with some weapons climbed out of the tunnels.

A Leafeon saw the Gold Tribe members, "Yo, Goldies! Here for your friend? I know the cell she's in. We've been keeping her alive, though we'll need to get her back to the lair to make sure she makes it. This way!" She shouted.

Meanwhile the rest of the group was quickly armed and set down the halls quietly. Though as time passed the sounds of battle quickly broke out as the screams and cries of Ancients being killed quickly filled the prison.

La Revolution

The Toxicroak's eyes widened and he let out a weak gasp, his body hanging over as pain radiated through each and every nerve ending. He was struggling to try and take in another breath as his knees shook beneath him.

The Sableye meanwhile finally gave in, his knees falling to the rooftop as he threw up chunks though... he began to chuckled. "Oh... well Snype... we know more about you know..." He whispered. There was a sudden flash on the rooftop as a Natu appeared... with four other lean and mean pokemon. There was a Dusknoir, Combusken, and Poliwhirl standing there.

"Hm.. target Snype... knows Protect, Toxic, Shadow Ball. Alright, D formation! Hit into formation J then Q!" The Poliwhirl stated. "You're going down Sentinel!" He shouted. The Dusknoir floated back a bit and readied a Disable while the Combusken shot out a Ember at the ghost. Meanwhile the Poliwhirl danced about on the rooftop and shot a hand up into the air. The clouds began to get rather dark as the Rain Dance ended.

The Outskirts of Cape City

Just outside of Cape City there was a loud rumbling as the ground in the front of the gates simply... fell. A trench had been created that was too steep to climb down. There were various pokemon on the other side... waiting. Once the Alpha Alliance got here then everything would fall into place.

Hanso SharpEye
~~~~~
After leaving the house, Hanso teleported away, before the Gold Tribe returned. He wasn't sure where he was going, but the Gallade found himself beside the map. He noted that the Gold Tribe's minds felt much closer than they had a minute ago, but he instead looked down at the map, tracing the tunnels with his eyes and ignoring nearby Pokemon.
As he'd noted earlier, it was too large and detailed to memorize in one sitting. That wasn't what he was trying to do, though; Hanso wanted at least a few moments of thought before someone found him. He felt confused, unsure of what to think about the Gold Tribe and Penance and allegiances and plans and-- Stop it, you're goin' in circles. Maybe if he laid them out one by one, something would click.
One: The Gold Tribe, Alpha Alliance, and Penance wanted to defeat the Silver Tribe.
Two: The Gold Tribe and Alpha Alliance army had been working together, with Zane's group acting as a vanguard that did some of the dirty work so the Alpha Alliance army would have a better chance at winning.
Three: Unless they were mistaken, Penance was the Madman and had his own views about the Gold Tribe. Apparently, the Golduck thought the Gold Tribe only wanted to replace the Silver Tribe. He certainly didn't like them anymore, and he seemed to have turned Brynn to his point of view.
Four: Delnire "Divine Wind" Blake had believed that the Gold Tribe was passing its recruits' character because of their fighting ability.
Five: For all his defense of them, Hanso had a few of his own doubts about the Gold Tribe. Despite his desire to believe that the Gold Tribe was all that it claimed to be, at least before the war, there were tidbits that claimed otherwise.
Okay, not sure if that's helping. He needed to decide where he stood on matters. Hanso decided at that moment that if he had anything to do with it, he wouldn't become another of the Madman's Affiliates. Even if he did decide that--
"Yo, Goldie!" Hanso looked up, locating the Fearow that was flying overhead. "Yeah, you! You need to come with me, where you're needed!"
That hadn't taken long. With a grin, Hanso called back, "So long as it isn't to Auron!" He then reached out with his mind and asked, "Where to?"
"Hey, get outta my hea-" The Fearow didn't finish her complaint before Hanso fished out an image of the meeting place and used it to teleport there, a few paces away from the other Psychics, Penance, and Zane. A violation of mental privacy, but Hanso didn't really care at the moment.
"The plan is starting now Vigil. Will you join us and make sure we can free a former brother or sister of yours?" Penance asked.
Come again? An unbidden image of Genevieve popped up in Hanso's mind, but he shoved it away. He needed to clear his mind for whatever the Golduck had in mind.
Paladin
Cape City Prison
Then, all hell broke loose. As he advanced, Paladin began to notice more and more Pokemon appearing in the cells that the group passed by, each seeming more suspicious than the last. Finally, there were explosions. Paladin got a heads up when the Pokemon began retreating, all at once, and he knew that something was going to happen. This was premeditated. Boom went the cell doors, as the various prisoners began escaping from their confinement. "Get down!" shouted Paladin as soon as he noticed the first of the explosions. After the explosions, chaos followed. Pokemon were everywhere, and some begun pushing the Gold Tribe aside in their hurry to leave. Paladin also began noticing other Pokemon, more professional-looking and covered head to toe in protective gear and armor, pushing their Suddenly, out of the mob of prisoners, came a Leafeon. "Yo, Goldies! Here for your friend? I know the cell she's in. We've been keeping her alive, though we'll need to get her back to the lair to make sure she makes it. This way!" she said. The fact that she had called the group 'Goldies' already told Paladin that she was one of the Madman's affiliates. Paladin grunted. He'd had enough of following that foolish Golduck's accomplices for one day. "If this is another trick, Leafeon, I'll kill you myself." Paladin warned. He doubted he'd actually kill anyone as it was, that would only cause more trouble, but he would not tolerate another one of Penance's shenanigans.
While following the Leafeon down the tunnel, Paladin spared a glance back at the prisoners. They were gone, but their shouts and screams could be heard mixed with that of ancients. They were fighting? Perhaps they were not crazed after all. Then, a thought began to reveal itself to the Golurk in the back of his mind; what if this was another illusion created by the psychics? It was a possibility, but the shouts of Ancients in the background seemed all too real. Were they illusions too? What was the point of it all? He decided to push the thoughts away as he continued walking behind the quadruped Grass-type before him.
Snype smirked at his fallen opponent but was suddenly ambushed by four more Pokemon! A Natu, Dusknoir, Poliwraith, and a Combusken all surrounding him. Unaware that Disable was prepared for Snype, He used Detect to avoid the Combusken's ember attack. Hw was quickly drenched in rain from the Poliwraith's Rain Dance.
"Kehehe... four against one? Your king really is Mad isn't he? I think you missed my Sidekicks down there though." Snype taunted as he used Foul Play against the Combusken to try and throw him off into the Church. Snype was in a really bad situation. He wondered why everyone was targeting him... maybe he was already getting popular? Snype would be very flattered if it was really going to take a group to take him out. He kept his large smile, even while in pain.
