Why are you hacking in Lotad? If you do that, your runthrough won't count. No hacking allowed, since you can get Bulbasaur right away in LeafGreen.

Also, if you changed your game to FireRed, you could get Scyther. If you don't feel like changing your game, you can run with just Venusaur and Victreebel. Update #3 on Platinum.

• Surfed to Canalave City, where I beat Barry.
• Took on the gym as well. Byron went down pretty easily thanks to Ace's Flamethrower and Mars' Leaf Blade.
• Skipped Iron Island for now and beat Saturn and Jupiter in the lakes.
• Went up to Route 217 and caught Ice Queen the Snorunt in the snow.
• Fed her some vitamins, then flew back to Iron Island to train her. Got the Shiny Stone there and evolved Ace into Togekiss!
• After that we trudged through the snow to Snowpoint City. Ace dominated Candice with Flamethrower.
• Found the Dawn Stone in Mt. Coronet, and Ice Queen finally evolved into Froslass!
• More plot stuff, and we beat up Team Galactic HQ and Cyrus.
• Headed inside Mt. Coronet and once outside, I caught my final team member, Disastrous the Absol!
• Reached the top of Mt. Coronet and beat Mars and Jupiter, then Cyrus in the Distortion World. Goodbye Team Galactic...
• Did a bunch of EV training, maxing out Ace, Mars, and Hoarder.
• Arrived in Sunyshore City and took on the gym. Volkner wasn't too difficult to beat either.
• Saved in Veilstone City, about to finish EV training.

Hey, I'm gonna let this go once, but you are supposed to have at least two viable team members at the end of Kanto, as it states in the rules. One pokemon at L75 and the other at L26 doesn't cut it. Continue on to Johto, but you need to have at least three viable team members at the end of the rest of the games in your ultimate challenge.

• Finished EV training Disastrous and Ice Queen, then surfed to Victory Road.
• Fought through the cave without much trouble and arrived at the Pokemon League.
• Beat Barry easily with Mars and Ice Queen.
• With the help of my Rare Candies, I got everyone to L61 except Ace (L60).
• Time for the Elite Four!
• Aaron was soloed by Ace with Fire Blast and Air Slash.

Started my Blue game last night and completely blanked at what Yellow Pokemon were around. GULP.

Spoiler:

I named myself YELLBRO and my rival is RED.
I picked CHARMANDER he picked SQUIRTLE.
He kicked my hinder quite royally.
Got the Parcel. Delivered the Parcel.
Got a Town Map. Headed to Viridian Forest.
Leveled up Charmander because even though I had avoided all of the other trainers in the forest, I knew I couldn't avoid the one right before the exit, and I was having no luck finding a Weedle/Kakuna.

Right before I walked up to the trainer I had been dreading, a wild Pikachu appeared. I nearly cried tears of pure happiness. I caught it, and named it SERVO.
Finally battled the dreaded trainer and went to the Pokemon center in Pewter City to place CHARMANDER in the PC.
Went back to Viridian Forest and continued to search for a Weedle.
Finally, after about an hour of searching, I found a lvl. 3 Weedle, now named STEINMAN.

Tonight, I'm gonna continue grinding SERVO and STEINMAN until they are strong enough to wipe out Brock and his Geodude and Onix.

• I hacked in Raptor the Rufflet as my starter since the first white Pokemon available is after the fourth badge.
• Beat Chili easily with Wing Attack.
• Lenora went down to Rock Smash (boosted by Sheer Force ftw).
• Burgh was steamrolled by Aerial Ace.
• Elesa took a few tries because of Raptor's electric weakness. He eventually beat her with Rock Tomb and Return.
• As I crossed the bridge, I caught Elegance the Ducklett, then also caught Frostbit the Vanillite in the Cold Storage.
• Raptor took down Clay with Return.
• Saved in the Chargestone Cave.

I decided to take a break from my Ultimate Purple Monocolor to finish my Ultimate Green Monocolor. I did bits of this throughout the week, so this is the update for everything. I'll probably be playing White next week to complete the Ultimate for Green; but for now, Platinum complete.

Green Monocolor Challenge (Platinum)
Update #1/Final Update

▸ Started the game like I typically do. Named myself Inferno, etc.
▸ Chose Turtwig, nicknamed it "Boss".
▸ Went through all that beginning of the game stuff, nothing too exciting.
▸ Boss evolved into a Grotle before the gym.
▸ Gym was pretty easy.

(I was a little late on this one...fail.)
▸ Caught a Budew, named it "Rosie".
▸ Went through the Eterna Forest.
▸ Defeated Gardenia.

▸ Proceeded to defeat Team Plasma.
▸ Traveled to Hearthome City, got an Eevee, and nicknamed it "Leafy".
▸ Went all the way back to Eterna Forest to evolve Leafy into a Leafeon.

▸ After defeating my rival, Boss evolved into a Torterra.

Another Yellow on Blue update.

I leveled Steinman up to lvl 14 and Servo to lvl 12 before even stepping foot in Brocks gym. I defeated the trainer in the gym fairly easily with a few Fury Attacks and then went back to the PokeCenter to heal. I stopped at the PokeMart, bought three potions and finally went to Brock.

Steinman went out and took about ten or so minutes to knock out Geodude with Fury Attack after Fury Attack. (took so long due to Geodudes defense curl) when Brock went to send out Onix, I switched to Servo, willing to sacrifice him for the greater good.

I used a potion on Steinman and was prepared to switch him out, but Servo did not faint. Oh. So, knowing all Electric attacks are ineffective to Rock/Ground, I just used Growl over and over until Servo fainted. Once I switched Steinman, Onixs attack was so low, he barely did any damage to him.

Another ten minutes of Fury Attacks, then another five minutes using Poison Sting because I ran out of PP, Onix went down. Woo!

Healed up, put Servo first on my team, and headed to Mt. Moon, battling all the trainers on the way. In Mt. Moon, I found Mega Punch, (which will be given to Servo at a later time) and battled as many trainers as I could. Took whichever fossil that was in front of me because it doesn't really matter which one I get, then exited.

After making it past Route 4, I healed up in Ceruelean City, then headed back to Route 4 to find a Sandshrew. About thirty minutes of training and searching in the grass, I found RAVAGE, a level 6 Sandshrew. After healing once more, I headed up to Nugget Bridge, ready to battle my rival.

He sent out Pidgeotto and Servo took him out. Abra was scratched by Ravage, Rattata was poisoned by Steinman, and finally, his Squirtle was shocked by Servo.

He told me he'd "smell me later!" and then ran off. Another trip to Nurse Joy (who probably thinks I just allow my Pokes to get practically slaughtered) then headed up the bridge. I beat all six trainers with Steinman and found an Abra in the grass which I paralyzed with Servo, then caught.

Now, I'm trying to level up Ravage and Chase at least ten levels before I battle Misty so they won't be too far behind my other two Pokes.

• Went through Chargestone Cave to Mistralton City.
• In the Celestial Tower, Elegance and Frostbite both evolved!
• Rang the bell, then took on the gym. Skyla was easy pickings for Frostbite's Ice Beam.
• Beat Cheren and got Surf, then caught my fourth team member, Amanita the Foongus.
• After exploring the water areas, I went through Twist Mountain, where Amanita evolved into Amoonguss!
• We arrived in Icirrus City and quickly challenged the gym. Amanita and Frostbite combined for the win against Brycen.
• Beat up Team Plasma in the Dragonspiral Tower and Relic Castle, got the Dark Stone, then headed to Opelucid City.
• After some vitamin shopping, I EV trained Amanita, Frostbite, and Elegance.
• Inside the Opelucid Gym, Frostbite evolved into Vanilluxe, then crushed Iris with three Ice Beams.
• Beat Cheren on Route 10 and got to Victory Road, where I saved.

. Took just shy of an hour and a half. Butterfree/Dewgong duo, of course.





Had a couple of wipes (both to Gary I think, if I just had two). The first was on Nugget Bridge, where Butterfree kept missing due to Pidgeotto's Sand Attack hax. The second was in Silph due to Exeggutor paralyzing me, and then I couldn't do anything against Alakazam. But once I got Dewgong, everything went swimmingly (oh that was terrible)

First half MVP: Butterfree, obviously because I couldn't get anyone else.
Second half MVP: Dewgong. I love Dewgong's sooooooooooo much.
