• You may not control the NPC bosses without GM permission.

• This roleplay uses the game's canonities, not the anime or the mangas.

• If you have an issue with something or someone in the roleplay, please bring it up with the GM(s). If it is about another roleplayer specifically, please bring it up /in private/. We are reasonable GM(s) and you should be able to expect to be able to work out any problems with us to the best of our ability. The only reason you will ever be removed from the roleplay for rule violations is if you refuse to work with us to fix the problem.

• Because there is unlimited spots in the roleplay, there will not be a strict activity enforcement. However, if you do not post for days and other people are waiting on you, they are then free to move ahead without you. You may resume posting whenever you wish, but you are not allowed to demand that another RPer waits an extended period of time for you. Other RPers may not however bunny your character anymore than necessary to move on in turn, and if you feel that someone moving on was handled inappropriately please bring it to the GMs so we can see what can be done.

• No guns whatsoever. Human weapons in general are to be considered useless when used on pokespirit wielders with the exception of explosives which are able to cause bruises and stun pokespirit wielders that weren't bracing themselves. Heavier explosives may result in severe disorientation and or the victim being thrown through the air, and may cause bruises more frequently, but once again are unlikely to actually end a pokespirit wielder's life. (The one exception on human weapons is a blade wielded by a pokespirit wielder. A blade wielded by a pokespirit wielder is capable of causing significant damage to other pokespirit wielders due to the sheer strength behind it, but will be very prone to shattering on any given strike.)

• No character is permitted to take the form of a Pokemon. All characters must maintain a humanoid shape and no character may exceed 10'0'' (3.048 meters) or be smaller than 2'0'' (0.6096 meters) in height. As a rule of thumb, when one's character is fused they should not look to be more than 30% Pokemon nor less than 10%. Here are some examples: A 10-15% Pokemon - Espeon Wielder, a 10-15% Pokemon - Cofagrigus Wielder, and a 20-25% Pokemon - Eelektross Wielder. Note the Eelektross wielder having abnormal skin and large fangs instead of human teeth. 25-30% Pokemon - Charizard Wielder. Note the charizard wielder's limbs being more pokemon than human. If this one had fully orange/red skin or an inhuman face, they'd be going overboard and might be denied.

• Rated M. A lot of hardcore things are going to happen in this roleplay. This is as real as it gets. Random gang signs go here People die, and quite frankly, cannibals kind of exist. However, that being said, there are still some limitations to prevent this from jumping straight to MA territory. First of all, the graphic content of posts must be kept reasonably low. Terrible things happen, yeah, but as shown in the plot if it gets really awful it should be implied instead of explicitly described. If a post is deemed too graphic you will receive a Private Message asking you to edit it. Due to the fact that MA roleplays are completely against the rules, failure to edit posts deemed too mature in a reasonable amount of time will result in me having to ask for moderator help in deleting said post. In terms of romance, there's a strict ban on smut.

How Combat Works

There is no leveling here. Instead you'll be left to your own devices to write your character maturing combat-wise at your own pace. Or not. Nobody said you had to rise up and be the ultimate warrior. Use your imagination! Fighting is freeform and once again you can use your imagination here. All pokespirit wielders are stronger, faster and more durable than regular humans by default. Evolution is mostly cosmetic here with the exception of a growing movepool, and most spirits won't evolve through combat at all. (Meaning you get to choose if they do or don't.)

You can either agree to the outcome of a fight beforehand or let the GM(s) be the judges and improvise. If it is determined that you have lost a deathmatch, meaning the loser is finished off, you may work with the GM(s) to see what can be done about perhaps having your character miraculously survive (unlikely) or how you can continue being a part of the roleplay. If the victor does not attempt to finish the loser off, it is not a deathmach.

The nature of pokemon attacks denotes they are very difficult to dodge without having an evasion type move of some sort. If you frequently dodge attacks listed as having 100% accuracy with no justification you /will/ be called on god modding. In addition, you shouldn't be able to take many direct hits unless there's a type resistance at play or other defensive move. No pokemon is that tanky to just shrug off attacks without doing anything to protect themselves.

Lastly, HM moves do not exist and instead pokemon that are capable of learning the moves can simply do them without wasting a move slot.

Plot

When Ghetsis was defeated atop N's castle most people had assumed N's dream had not only been doomed never to see the light of day, but abandoned by N himself. Team Plasma was a broken shell of its former self, its members in hiding or prison and it's sages having more or less accepted their failure. Team Plasma never recovered, and so the crisis was thought to have passed.

...However, what nobody had seen coming was that N's dream lived on not through N, nor Team Plasma, nor even Ghetsis, but through their admirers. A group of radicals operating low-key as scientists pursued to succeed where N had failed through their own, far less innocent methods. They sought to engineer something that could break the mysterious bond between man and pokemon under the guise of trying to understand it; and so they did.

First, they created a formula that could break the bond, and through further study they were able to initiate a kind of biological warfare unlike anything anyone had ever seen before. A virus was released which could infect and attack pokemon, removing their ability to develop or maintain bonds with their trainers or others in general.

The worst had yet to come however. From atop his celestial perch Arceus was not unaware of this act against... well... itself! From the dawn of the pokemon they had been meant to be companions to humans. Who dared commit such a crime? Arceus looked out and saw that the world had become uninhabitable for pokemon to live without losing their gift and was enraged. Just like that, he took back the gift of pokemon entirely. Pokemon rapidly began vanishing off te face of the earth, their spirits being recalled to a place not even the virus could reach them.

...And what of the humans? Humanity was alright, for a short time. There was great panic and with good cause however as humanity became intimately aware of how much it had depended on pokemon. Everything from the police, to rescue teams, to hospitals, to farmers, /everything/ had depended on pokemon to some degree. Without pokemon, some of these things were made impossible or obscenely difficult compared to before.

Crime ran rampant. Without pokemon there was no meat, and the produce supplies were quickly diminished. Humanity as a whole quickly devolved into chaos as people were forced against a rock and a hard place. In the end, humanity itself was nearly wiped put, though as the population declined it became easier for individuals to survive. Unspeakable horrors were committed in the name of life or death and a new era of depravity was formed. Children were the target of much hate, as well as those whom had them, humans beginning to looking at them as no more than extra mouthes to feed. Humanity eventually managed to stabilize itself, however. It was broken, but not down and out. Not even the scientists who had caused the catastrophe had been immune to the consequences, as they had no idea how dire said consequences would be.

It was not truly the apocalypse, however. Some of humanity stood strong to their morals even as demise was upon them. Though they were often crushed under the boot of the horde their stands did not go unseen. Arceus eventually found it in itself to seek a remedy to the situation, to spare a shred of mercy. Using its awesome power, Arceus restored the pokemon in a new form, that of which not even the virus could hope to corrupt. A quake of unimaginable power shook Mt. Coronet and tore it asunder. Yet, from the gaping wound in the earth erupted a giant crystal formation. The crystal shimmered with divine power and from it the spirits of the pokemon returned. From then on, children from the ages of 10 to 13 would feel drawn to the site, wherein the spirit of a pokemon would choose them and fuse with them, giving the child the ability to take on some of the features of that pokemon and access to that pokemon's powers.

In addition, a large stone tablet rose with the formation, upon which was carved the words "BRING YOURSELVES TO JUSTICE" in plain English as well as several commandments in a language that only pokemon spirits can read.

The commandments read as followed, and pokemon spirits are not only allowed but encouraged to tell their human host:

"The world has been broken, and it is humanity's fault."
"It is up to you to bring justice to yourselves and the world."
"You must guide yourself, however..."
"These are the laws of Arceus!"

•"Let yourself be washed of your moral preconceptions. From the first time you've read these commandments, let them be your only laws. Then and only then allow yourselves to rediscover what you believe is right or wrong."
•"You shall not harm the spirit of the pokemon, lest divine retribution strike."
•"You shall be in possession of no more than six pokemon spirits at any one time, lest your spirit become suppressed."
•"If you take the spirit of the pokemon from another you must take it for your own, lest it turn on you."
•"You shall not harm children under the age of fourteen that have not yet received their pokemon spirit."

It's now up to these children to change the world for better or worse. What will you fight for, and ultimately what will become of humanity and the world they live in?

Who are you?

Spoiler:

You play one of the children gifted with a spirit of pokemon. Some of the adults would like to enslave you for work purposes, and the world is still rather chaotic. Your goal is either to bring the world out of it's depraved state, rule it, or whatever your character wants. The only thing that stands in the way is the other children that aren't on your side. Your pokemon spirits are there to guide and support you either way, as all of them can communicate with their human host mentally.

In addition to being able to fuse with your pokemon spirit and take on their powers and some of their features you have the ability to absorb the pokemon spirits of defeated opponents, and if you're more cruelly inclined you can even absorb the life energy of defeated others themselves, in which case they would perish and their physical form be converted into pure energy. In a world without any creatures besides humans and very scarce edible plant life you may find that it doesn't take an evil lunatic to resort to... unorthodox methods of obtaining subsistence. That being said, it may be important that your character know when to run to avoid such a fate.

You may optionally sign up for a normal human if you so wished, or even one of the nefarious adults. However, you should be warned that without a poke spirit you will be mostly helpless if confronted by someone wielding one.

Key Locations/Points of Interest/Setting

Spoiler:

The setting of the roleplay is Sinnoh. Many of the cities and towns have been abandoned due to humanity's collapse, leaving little to no life in their ghostly wake. Any and all edible plant life is typically hoarded, making finding some without stealing from another rare. Non-edible plant life such as trees are still in plenty supply, however. There are four key locations still inhabited by humans.

Jubilife City [Hostile towards children]

Jubilife City is a shadow of it's former self; buildings succumbing to disrepair, power lost, and filth covering the streets that the homeless are forced to live on this city is home primarily to adults. It's one of the most highly populated city in Sinnoh alongside Eterna City. Children are banished from this city completely, sent to Eterna or flat out executed if they resist. This city is lead by a cynical old man named Richard Lewt.

Edit #1: Jubilife City has become more spread out in an effort to reduce casualties in the event of a remote attack. Words of the apocolypse are whispered among it's occupants as adults attempt to figure out how to deal with the ominous threat of complete destruction by any given pokespirit wielders and fail. Some have left the city, choosing to live a bandit's life. They don't last long.

Eterna City [Mildly Hostile towards free pokespirit wielders] Destroyed by PkMnTrainer Yellow's character Hailey

Spoiler:

Eterna City, being partly ruins to begin with, looks a bit less horrifying than Jubilife. Though trash is still omnipresent, and buildings are not in great shape, many of the older buildings look little to no different than they did before. This city is home to both adults and children, most of which children have not yet received pokespirits, except for a select few that decided not to rebel. Said few are often forced to do heavy labour such as heavy lifting and cleaning. This city is ruled by a relatively old man named Earnest MacKenzie.

Edit #1: Eterna City is gone.

Children's City (Previously Hearthome City) [Hostile towards adults]

Hearthome City, like Jubilife, is in terrible condition. Once a city home to both children and humans a boy named Nicholas receiving his pokespirit successfully used his newfound powers to either drive the adults out or kill them. The survivors generally migrated to Jubilife. Thus, this city was renamed "Children's City". Nicholas now rules Children's City with an iron fist, crushing what little resistance there is with violence. Adults are banished from the city. Those loyal to Nicholas will attack on sight.

Edit #1: Children's City now has pokespirit wielding guards. These tend to be volunteers, and they're out to prevent the city from being destroyed... like Eterna.

The Undeground

Spoiler:

The Underground of Sinnoh is less of an organized society like the other three key points and more of a hive of scum a villainy these days. People of all ages come here to hide or acquire the services of those whom don't want to be found. Being in this place is generally dangerous in and of itself, as those around are often at least mildly hostile to anyone they don't know. Through digging, one can find the fossils of long extinct pokemon. However, even if one acquired the technology to revive them, it would not work. They thus serve as a sad reminder of what once was. The closest thing to a ruler of this city is a pokespirit wielding young crime lord named Lizzy Borkson

Edit #1: The underground became even more hostile as a direct result of Eterna City's destruction as tensions rise between children of different ideologies over whether exterminating all the adults is really the proper course of action. Rumor has it Lizzy is not a fan of the idea.

NPC Bosses

Nicholas (Tyrannitar)

Spoiler:

Nicholas is the "leader" of children's town. A young boy with a deep-seated hatred toward adults, he is credited with creating aforementioned town. However, the history of how he went about doing this is dark indeed. At first, he was a hero to his kind, gaining a pokespirit and fighting off the suppressors. However, his hatred fueled revenge quickly began to accelerate into a full-blown genocide on a level that terrified those that saw it. Such was the extent of his conquest that he successfully drove all adults from what is now considered children's town. He is known as a bully and dictator, being quick to anger and use violence when the peace of his little utopia is threatened. The raw destructive power he possesses is terrifying, even among pokespirit wielders. Fearful gossip has it that he could single-handedly bring down the world if he wanted. However, if this was true, it's anyone's guess why he hasn't tried eliminating adults completely.

Difficulty: Closest thing to a final boss short of other players. High-Impossible

Lizzy Borkson (Duskull)

Spoiler:

Lizzy is the leader of a crime organization dedicated to stealing supplies from...really everyone. They're a rather selfish bunch generally, and don't much care for anyone outside of their group. Lizzy herself is rather cruel, and enjoys scaring others in her free time though occasionally her visits are a little less innocent. Being more or less the heart of the Undeground society she has achieved notoriety for her misdeeds. Due to her having an entire gang under her control, fighting her can be quite a mistake

Anne Lorkum (Haxorus)

Spoiler:

Anne is a young wandering female that wanders the wilderness. She's known for having lost herself to madness. If you wanted to know exactly how she lost herself you'd have to ask around, as this is not widely known knowledge. What is known however is that most of her humanity is long gone, leaving a berserk, violent girl in its wake. She is terrifyingly powerful in that there are little to none that can hope to match her in physical combat. Yet, she is not the best at taking a hit.

Fiona Ward (Arcanine)

Spoiler:

Fiona is the leader of a small "pack" of pokespirit wielders, a young girl, and it is near impossible to catch her alone. She is distrusting of outsiders, and serves as a sort of mother figure to the others. She is rumored to be one of the first pokespirit wielders in existence. Alone she is only , but her "pack" is highly loyal and together they can be a very dangerous threat when provoked.

Difficulty: Medium-High

Zack Williams (Kabutops)

Spoiler:

Zack is a pokespirit wielder that never rebelled from the adults, one of only a small niche of children that didn't. This oppressed boy is living in a state of depressed denial in which he desires to trust the adults, but they keep abusing him for his powers. His hard work has made him strong, however, and confronting him could be dangerous.

The adults (Normal Human)

If you venture into adult territory you may come across adults that will condemn you for being a pokespirit wielder. If this happens and you do not flee, you may find yourself confronted with an angry mob that may not /let/ you flee. You will then be faced with a grim choice; that of you or them. Winning depends primarily upon the guts of your character and the drive to survive. Past that it's not remotely difficult.

Name: Avanto




Nickname: Aside from simply preferring to be addressed as the pokemon from which he's given power Avanto tends to go by multiple titles “The Nocturnal Man-Snatcher”was a nice handle the locals gave him after a few months, he tends tocome up for many for himself “The Twenty Fingers of Cleansing”,“The First Priest of the Purge”, “The Holy Genocide” and “TheHa-bringer” amongst other things. His family used to call him“Avvy”.




Age:12 (and three quarters,mind you!)




Sex:Male




Appearance: One look makes it quite obvious that the boy doesn't care much for typical societal norms of cleaning the grime of the earth off, a closer look will show it's probably because he prefers being caked with blood. Trying to stay fused as often as possible his torso bears a second set of arms, all four being quite muscular and each having a different colored ringed emblem on the back of the hand. In place of conventional shoes he has a makeshift set, small pieces of metal for heels wrapped in a once white cloth, now dyed red and held in place with fastening bands. His simple cloth pants are held together with a pair of strips on his ankles to reduce wind resistance and a set on his kneecaps, holdingon some metal and rope knee guards. His upper body has a torn green vest covering it, though often it itself is covered by a few sheetsof metal, painted black with a few white spots in resemblance of an insect's shell. His eye color is unknown as they're almost constantly obscured or guarded by a thick set of circular goggles, the lenses covered in a series of red smudges to the point where they look to bepainted that color. Overall he stands a bit shorter than someone of his age and has developed a narrow face. When fused a small pair of black antennae twitch idly, hidden in the expanse of his coffee-brown hair, streaks of different shades of green on certain strands; theresult of a few unsuccessful dye-jobs.




Personality: Brutal, cold, indifferent, violent. Avanto tends to shamelessly embody these things. Seeking retribution from “previous sins” he thinks himself to be morally superior and enlightened withhis new-found powers. He sees himself as a demigod and a bringer of anew era in which he is chosen to bring back goodness to the earth. Hefollows rather flawed ideals, having virtually forgotten nor met anyone with superhuman capabilities like him and is isolated from society, only his spirit to accompany him in any form. He possibly suffers a bit of dementia, thinking Arceus speaks to him specifically at times and commands him to do bidding, this has caused him to become a fanatic of his own logically fallacious religion. He plans to kill anything and anyone he can in hopes of eventually “purging”the earth of humanity, convinced that there's nothing on the planet can be sapient and good at the same time. His time in isolation has taught him to have bloodlust and how to survive but disabled much of his simple logistics, getting nearer to being a threat to himself every day as he follows his own interpretations of the laws given to him. Virtually impossible to reason with and bearing confidence of holy invincibility he can only be reached by being outdone in physical prowess or exploitation of his psychological state.




History:The only child of a botanist and florist,Avanto was never truly a very “good” kid by most any definitions.Though his parents often tried to get him to follow the trade ofplant life he'd quickly become discouraged, lacking the patience todo such and feeling that if he'd devoted his life to observing “the precious gifts of nature” that he'd be doing no more than his parent's will, no doubt the common ground the two had met over. After abandoning what he assumed to be his parent's dreams he'd never become much of anything and was often simply in the background of things, never courageous to try something for himself. Those two parents with high hopes for him and a lack of peers who would accept him he was forced to try and mature quickly to keep from being hurt, an outcast isolating himself. This was done rather poorly as he's just scarcely above an average level of intelligence, unfit body and a suppressed curiosity for the world. He's brought himself to think that one has to harm others for your own safety and hasn't been swayed from such an idea. Weaker humans, but more often pokemon abused, and on occasion even killed when he could get away with it, he'd embarked on a murderous path. If anything these most recent events are the only thing noteworthy he's ever done, his abilities now letting him more than ever express his violent ideology and allowing him to defy the social bindings he once thought himself to be held by, no longer needing to rely on a judgmental family and alienating peers to survive in the lawless frontier of the new world.

Lunar tends to be rather silent, if not absent. Though it could be mistaken for neglect as Avanto gradually loses his mentally stability it's generally just her being passive and hesitant, often caught in a moral struggle of how to react toAvanto's constant killing. Able to understand the necessity of such but questioning the often tormenting methods he employs. As such she's rather reclusive, having never revealed any true nature and nearly lacking any relation with Avanto past a constant presence.

As the boy sat there, cross-legged, rubbing green fluid through his wispycollection of now mismatched brown and-green he murmured lightly to himself. “I'll just kill everything else which shares this blood until it is my own and mine only. He'd be proud...” Then he'd stop, two fingers pressing together against the thin antennae hiding within the flowing forest of his head, his other arms crossed whilst he looked out overthe landscape and up to the dusk. “Or perhaps...he wanted me to make them repent. But then without example of the extent of their wrongdoings and how they must pay nobody would.” He shook his head,resting all four of his hands in his lap as he stared off into the sky, practically sensing the exact positions of the oncoming stars in the night,his hair flowing slightly without wind; his antenna’s constant twitching taking care of such motions. Slowly lying back he covered his eyes with one hand and sighed softly, still lying amongst the tram's wreckage, just momentarily longing to be engulfed in the sounds of nature he once detested.

Appearance: Scarlet is slightly tanned on her legs and arm's, but her face and all the rest are more pale. Her eye's are a sort of Aqua emerald color, they shine in the sunlight and her eye lashes is super short. Scarlet hardly blushes, it's a sort of light red mixed with a bit of light pink. Her hair is a really dark, creamy pink color. She likes to wear it in a ponytail to the back and leaves a long, very thick strip of hair going down the front on each side, up to her breasts. Scarlet wears a big, white ribbon/bow to keep her ponytail in and has bang's a that hangs right above both her eye's. She wears a white, long sleeved top with a small stripe across the border of the arm sleeve and a thicker stripe next to it. Scarlet's nail's are painted in a dark red, and her left hands thumb has a small black heart sticker on it. Her top has a pink, color thing at the top with a orange tie like thing except but in four pieces, and it dangle's at the edge of the color thing. The color thing has a white, line at the top that turn's into a hump near the bottom. The other side is identical. Scarlet wears a pink, mini skirt that's the same type of pink as the neck color thingy. It has a white, thin line at the top of the skirt with a white ribbon at the left side and at the bottom of the skirt there are ruffles. She wears a white, leg bracelet on her leg. It's three centimeter's bellow her skirt on the left leg. The rest of Scarlet's leg is all plain, same on the right one. Scarlet wears white sock's on both her feet, both of the sock's has a small, white ribbon at the side. She wears a pair of pink trainer's with white shoelaces and a pink star on the back.

Personality: Scarlet, in one word is sweet. She isn't to harsh on people, she's more kind. Scarlet is also sort of lazy, her older sister's were lazy to and due to that Scarlet became lazy to. She doesn't like to run or do many things but if it's really needed Scarlet would get more active and go go go. Scarlet say's allot of words wrong, which can sometimes come out on the wrong end and upset people. Then again, Scarlet always cheer's up people well and gives them a good laugh if there depressed, and even if they aren't Scarlet loves to make people laugh. She is also a very good at encouraging people to do what they want, and to never give up. Yet sometimes Scarlet does the opposite. Scarlet is a very great at convincing too, which comes in handy allot. On the negative trait's, Scarlet can get greedy and selfish at times, but luckily she hardly does. She always want's to get the last word in argument's and keep's them going on. Scarlet does what she want's and never let's people tell her what to do, it's her own way of saying 'You can't boss me around' or 'You can't tell me what to do'. When someone start's to be mean or annoying to Scarlet, she talks back, no matter who it is. She never hit's or punches anyone, but a time could come where she slap's someone on the cheek or pinches them. Scarlet also likes to taunt people, she does this allot. But on the bright side, Scarlet is a good athlete which is one of the main things that makes her move more.

Personality: Kilik is an independent guy who never gives up no matter what happens. He never backs down from a challenge & stays firm if insulted. He's like someone who can read people's minds, but he just takes a 'lucky guess.' Apparently he has no sense of humor so he takes things too seriously, although he tries to find his sense of humor. Kilik is very intelligent in battle, finding every different solution for the outcome to be on his side. Kilik tends to stay quiet in front of others as he tries focusing more at the situation at hand. If everything is okay for the time being, he will start up a conversation of something he knows or of what the others like to talk about.

One thing about him is he gets stressed during a battle when he has WAY too much pressure. He randomly attacks which can mess up his battle style, occasionally giving his opponent the win. Kilik has a little anger issues when someone doesn't take notice of him, so try to comment for him always when possible.

History: In his early years, Kilik was an orphan. His parents died in the hands of Nicholas in Hearthome City, which is now known as Children's City. Devestated by the loss of his parents, he runs away from Children's City as it has too much memories for him. He wondered if there was anywhere he could stay. He decided to take refuge & live in a forest, which was actually near Eterna City. This forest would be his new home.

He learned how to survive, how to make food with little of what he ever got. In Eterna City, he had enough money to buy some supplies, clothes etc. With little money left he decided to sell anything he had that he didn't need anymore. This is how he] been living throughout the years. In the abandoned buildings he could actually find more stuff to sell & survive. He wished he hadn't left his real home, but it was just too much.

At age 12, becoming 13 in a few days, he wanted to go exploring, having the courage & the strength to venture. He has left everything from the past behind him...well, almost everything. He wants revenge against Nicholas someday, but he knew he wasn't ready. His first thought was Mt. Coronet. It was there that he obtained a Pokespirit, Lucario. With a new friend, he went back to his home in the forest, keeping secret of what he encountered, feeling trustful to no one but Reiki.

Opening Post: In the depths of the forest, there lives a boy in a treehouse, which to others would look like a regular tree. He made it well camoflagued so no one discovers it. This boy, Kilik, comes back after his trip to Eterna City with food, entering his home. Inside he sets the food & breathes. His form starts to change, a round spike appears behind his 2 hands & on his chest, small fangs appear inside his mouth, & 4 small black appendages appear around his head; the appendages were a bit smaller than a Lucario's.

"Is this enough?" Kilik's Pokespirit, Reiki, said to him. It felt good to be transformed like this.

"Yes," Kilik answered. "This should provide the taste buds well." He grabs a piece of food & ate it, craving the taste. Sometimes the taste could be more than enough to fill his belly. He sat down to rest & eat.

"When will we leave this place?" Reiki asked.

"Soon, but I don't know what dangers will come." Kilik reluctantly answers. What will he find again.

"Whatever comes, you're not alone." Reiki thought some words of kindness would soothe him, but it did little to nothing.

Kilik sighed, standing up. "Yeah..." He walked to his window, remembering his time in Children's City. He will encounter Nicholas, & kill him. He hasn't had any social time with anybody, but thank goodness Keiki came along before his birthday. Now 13, he's ready to venture out soon, knowing the risks. He kept looking out the window, eating his food while seeing if anything interesting would happen. Sadly, nothing ever happens.

Name: Katharine Woalf

Nickname (Optional): Kat/Kitty

Age: 13

Sex: Female

Appearance: Kat has long, chestnut brown hair that reaches the halfway point on her back. Kat stands at 5 foot 6. She has long legs, her fingers are also longish. Her eyes are normally a forest green, but turn into a bright silver when fused. She wears worn down jeans and a black, blood and mud encrusted jacket. She normally keeps her hood up, but it falls when she fights. She likes to keep her hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes. She also wears worn down combat boots, that she has had a small blade implanted in the toe. She keeps a belt on to hold her knife at her side. The knife is a little worn out, and very bloodstained. She doesn't have time to clean her things. When Kat is fused, she has Umbreon ears and a tail, these are the most noticeable features. She also forms fangs and sharp claws. Her claws fuse poison into her foes (In a Pokedex entry, Umbreon like, drips poison).

Personality: Kat does not trust easily. It takes a lot to make her falter loyalty though. She is cautious of others, and will respond with hostility if they come too close. Kat gets frightened easily, but will fight before fleeing. She was originally a shy girl, but thanks to Candlelight, she is more outgoing. She loves to talk to him, and he likes to talk to her. He has no choice of course, but he enjoys her. Kat could be considered mentally unstable. She has her crazy moments and frequently talks to Candlelight out loud. She has no problem with eating her foes, thanks to the Pokemon Spirit. Candlelight tells her to do these things. She complies, she has no reason to not trust the Dark Type.

History (Where did your character grow up? Who did they grow up with? What have the been doing before this? Any noteworthy events?): Kat grew up in the Underground. She ran away from her parents, who were planning to enslave her. She was raised by a small group of female criminals. They taught her how to steal food and how to kill adults after she gets her spirit. Rose (Oldest, Lucario) hoped she was a Fighting Type like her, Kyla (Middle, Leavenny) Hope she would grow to be motherly like her, and Scarlet (Youngest, Haunter) just wanted her to be like her. Evil and violent. Kat slept on the ground all of her life, as her "family" could not really steal beds from the adults without being noticed. Kat always had nightmares. Every night in the Underground. One day, she found a secluded room that had, strangely, a guard. In the middle of the night, she snuck past the guard. She, being 10, wanted to see what was inside. When she walked in, there was a black shape in the corner. She walked to it slowly, not making a sound, and grabbed what she presumed was its shoulder. Her hand went through it, but it turned to her. She could see tears of... what looked like blood. It started laughing but quickly noticed her fears and grabbed her shoulder with its paw. It asked her if he could join her. Kat nodded, and as soon as she did, it flew into her. She screamed, but only for a moment. The shadow said he was called Candlelight. "Hello Candlelight. A-Are you my spirit?" Kat was trembling with excitement when she asked. Kat jumped with joy when she could sense him nodding. They talked to each other everyday for hours. Then he started telling her to do "favors" for him. First was the leader. Kat snuck to her "mother's" spot on the ground, and... Killed her while fused. She then continued to the rest of her "family" until they were all gone. With bloodstained claws, she left the Underground and wandered around from then on.

He was a Pokemon for a man who taught him these things. He also taught Candlelight how to control minds. He cannot use this anymore of course, well, for all we know.

This was how Kat thought. If she killed others, she could scavenge the food they had with them. Even stealing from a house, she never leaves a soul, other than sleeping children. This was how Candlelight taught her. "A-Are you sure it is safe?" Kat said nervously to herself. She just killed an adult male, but he had no food. (Yes Kat. Very safe. Just avoid the organs okay?) Kat nodded and brought out her knife. She cut both wrists and the neck. Kat then hung the body from a tree and waited for it to bleed out. Kat took a deep breath and fused. Her teeth sharpened and her nails grew to claws. With these, she cut down the body and ripped a small pice of him. When she smelled it, she couldn't help but gag. "But if smells so bad Candle! How can I eat it?" She could see him forming next to her in his shadow form. (Just ignore it sweetie. See?) He tore a piece of the neck off and gobbled it up. (All humans smell like this. Your males especially.) Canlelight laughed and dissipated. Kat shakily laughed and took a bite of the flesh. She had her eyes closed, but opened them quickly. "Wow! Candle, you were right! If I ignore it, then it doesn't taste so bad. I... I could hug you!" Candle growled in her mind. "I mean, I won't, but I could!" Kat laughed when she heard Candlelight snicker at her slurred way of saying that. (Okay, okay. I need you to help me with something okay?) Kat was eating more meat when she nodded. "Why of course! You have helped me survive many times before! Is it more killing?" Kat grabbed for her knife but Candlelight pet her shoulder. (No, no sweetheart. I wanted to see betrayal. I want you to betray a promise. Find more like us, befriend them. Let them trust you. Then backstabbing them. Could you do that?) Kat thought for a bit... "Well... Sure! Where are others?" Candlelight shrugged (Find them. In the meantime, entertain me please.) Kat smiled an evil grin and walked back onto the path that many people seem to take. She sits in the middle, waiting for her next victim. "I will find you children. You will not expect it. Candle? A-Are you talking through me?" Candlelight smirked (Why no! Appearance (A picture can be provided instead of a description if you so wish.): Spencer has dark black hair. On the top of his hair it tips off in a point that's colored an odd red. This tip is the most noticeable part of the top of his head. The tip sticks out independently, almost as if it weren't locks of hair at all.

Personality (How does your character act and react to others? Their mental state? Flaws and/or personal weaknesses?): Spencer is a very inspired kid. He's also imaginative and creative. When he's bored, he tends to make art out of small little bits and things that he finds around him. He never gets rid of these things he makes and leaves them wherever he makes them. Spencer isn't bored very easily, even when he acts like he is. He usually entertains himself by thinking up something in his head, which is a little hard with Bonard around.

Being in an apocalyptic setting doesn't seem to have uh... Matured, young Spencer. He still acts like a kid. Curious about everything and doing all the wrong things. He makes great bait sometimes. He is, however, very much aware. Dealing with crunchy, survival situations from birth, he does know the basics of staying alive. He acts vulnerable and easy, but he knows the ins and outs of life. He just treats it as one big joke most of the time. Sometimes it is one big joke. Spencer is able to find a lot of humor in his current situation. In fact, violent, gory situations or scenarios come off funny to him. Mostly the circumstances of death in general. If he were to ever see a body he might think up some backstory for the person, some kind of history and put a name with him or her. He talks to these bodies too and they give him extra company than just Bonard.

Spencer does have moments of rage and, in those moments, can become extremely violent and much less rational. He attacks hard and attacks strong and can become untameable. These fits of rage only last a few moments and are very rare.

On a side note, his favorite organ is the stomach.

Personality (Can be as short or long as you want): Bonard is not driven. He seems to not have a passion for anything. There doesn't seem to be a single thing in the world that can excite him and if anything surprises him, his voice will never show it. He always has an apathetic look on a situation, which always gets at Spencer's nerves. Bonard can be easily described as a downer. He doesn't bring down spirits with pessimistic views, but he doesn't nothing to raise excitement and sometimes his comments makes things seem less spectacular than you want them to be. Just as he lacks emotion, Bonard lacks determination. There are very few things, if any, that drive him to succeed. In fact, Spencer is completely unaware of something that would cause him to make a goal.

When Bonard speaks, he speaks monotone or in a tired way. However, despite all this, Spencer couldn't say he was surprised when he got an image of Bonard. He didn't think he was a very excited looking pokemon. Bonard is very intelligent and sometimes makes puzzles or riddles for Spencer to think about when he asks.

Also, I have a question. When it says the child takes on the traits of their spiritpokemon, does that mean they get some of their abilities too? For example, one of Scraggy's mentioned dex abilities is to spit acid. Does that mean I could make Spencer do the same? It's really a stretch, but... That would be really darn cool. :D It could be like a fusion only thing.

@Kiklion: You are correct in that people get the abilities of the pokespirit they are fused with. The only real restriction of the fusion is that your character's face must remain minimally if at all morphed. That is to say, they should be clearly recognizable, perhaps with fangs or markings of some sort is about it. Basically that's meant to keep characters reasonably human-like.

Also, roughly somewhere around 80-120 years has passed since the start of the fallout. (Get it? Pokemon Fallout? Fallout from pokemon? Genius!)

That being said, nobody from before the fallout /should/ still be around, though it's not technically impossible with a good enough explanation.



@Saturated Hue: Weeell... The /expectation/ is at least once a day on average, just like PTA. Also like PTA, you're free to post as frequently as you like, so long as you don't start bunnying other characters. So in that sense I regret to say that the posting system is very similar to PTA's. I cannot predict the frequency because it is up to the RPers. I /recommend/ once a day, however, as some RPers will get frustrated and move on without another character if asked to wait days for a post.

Name: Wayne Marks

Nickname (Optional): Two-face (not very fond of it)

Wayne's nickname comes, obviously, from his face. Because of something that happened when he was little, he lost all hair from the right side of his face and became blind from his right eye, which he covers with a metallic-lookinng eyepatch. Under this eyepatch is also a huge, X-shaped scar, which he got in a knife fight for his life. He is still bald on this side of his head, so he tries to cover up some of his bald spots with the mass of unruly black hair from the other side.
Wayne is a skinny, slightly tanned, and short kid, standing at about 5 feet 7 inches. He is actually so skinny you could see his ribcage easily. That is, if he didn't hide it with the ragged, white tank top with brown stains he wears all the time. Speaking of clothing, he wears camo pants and a green combat jacket, which he has been wearing since he can remember. Said jacket is too big for him, since he stole it from an adult that had tried to kill him.

Personality (How does your character act and react to others? Their mental state? Flaws and/or personal weaknesses?):

Under no circumstance you would think of Wayne as a sane person. He thinks life is a kill-or-be-killed game, and sees the world as a big dump that he wishes to control someday, but he has no rush. He will kill anyone who stands in his way, no matter who he is, and will hold no regret for his actions. He strongly believes that the ends justify the means, something he learned while growing up. He won't help or care for anyone unless he gets something from it.
However, Wayne has some principles. For example, he is against cannibalism (which explains his skinny body) and won't kill anyone at first sight (unlesss, of course, he sees himself in danger). Guess his mind is not that twisted after all.

Sign-up done. The name and history always seem to be the hardest things for me, compared to everything else in a character.

Name: Alessa

Nickname: Aly

Age: 12

Sex: Female

Appearance: Alessa, just an inch taller than five feet, usually wears a long, white sundress with a bright red floral pattern on it, matching rather well with her porcelain-like skin tone. Her waist-length blonde hair and bright blue eyes are tinted rather subtly, but still visibly, in green and red, respectively, as a result of joining with Sen. Instead of a ponytail, though, Alessa's bangs are braided back behind her head. Past the sundress, which hits just below her knees, is Alessa's long legs, with the same fragile-looking skin tone as her face and arms. Choosing not to wear socks, she wears sandals with a fur thong and insole for comfort. She's painted her nails an eggshell white, both fingers and toes, to blend with everything else. Alessa also wears a large straw sunhat whenever she goes outside, since, as expected, she burns easily. Surprisingly, though, despite her frail look, she has some amazing physical ability thanks to growing up with a thief for a father.

Personality: She's calm, collected, polite... and pretty dang amoral, or at least fluctuating in her moral standing. She'll help someone in distress one moment, and steal lunch from someone else the next. Aly's fairly sarcastic, too, sarcastic remarks taking up around half of whatever she says. This tends to make her come off as a jerk, but she really does care about people, for the most part. Hostility and kindness are both reciprocated pretty equally. Sadly, it leads her to getting betrayed easier if someone fakes their manners, but Sen's mental intrusions seem to make up for it if Alessa ever listens. That said, she can end up "blanking out," so to speak, if she has to deal with multiple authorities at once (among other situations) where she'll seem apathetic and avoid communicating with others. Her real specialty lies in quick thinking, though,

History: Alessa's lived in Hearthome City all her life, her mother and father both herbalists, the latter also an apt thief, whenever he so chooses to be. This all resulted in having a small surplus of edible food for the family. As she was growing, Alessa's father taught her his thieving ways, bringing her to the same trade believing she could make use of it like he did. And she did; not just by skulking around, but taking advantage of her fragile appearance and wide eyes. She didn't use it for herself, but for the victims of other families hoarding food. Her family had enough food, so why not help her friends? For a while, things were pretty smooth. That is, until her parents were killed in Nicholas' attack on Hearthome. Alessa wasn't aware that it was Nicholas who did the deed, so when the boy offered her a place in the town he now ruled, i.e., Children's City, she took it believing she could be useful.

Species: Kirlia

Nickname: Sen

Personality: This Kirlia has the soul of a trickster, but it's usually in fun. He loves to watch people and play pranks on them, but shares in Alessa's sympathetic nature and knows when to stop. He's not normally hostile either, preferring to avoid fighting altogether. Cornered, though, Sen tends to be somewhat more ruthless, driving Alessa to even killing if it means coming out on top alive and well. Sen also plays as Alessa's involuntary second opinion in the case of the latter being unsure of something.

Opening Post

Mm, breakfast. Alessa materialized back into Children's City early in the morning, having grabbed herself a few berries from Eterna City a few moments beforehand. This PokéSpirit thing was pretty useful. Keeping a good-looking Sitrus for herself, Alessa handed the rest out to some of the other kids before one ran out to her from what used to be Hearthome's prestigious contest hall.

"Excuse me, Aly?" It was one of Nicholas' buddies, and he had to catch his breath before he could continue. "We have another trapped in No Kid's Land," in other words, Jubilife City. "Got lost in Mount Coronet. Nick wants you to bail him out and bring him back here." So with a last bite of her morning meal, Alessa lowered her sunhat and Teleported out of Hearthome for Jubilife.

She landed straight up on top of Jubilife City's old television building. Guess I overshot it. Sen, any idea where this kid is?

Follow the stench of fear and pissed pants, hun, the Pokémon spirit responded, assuming it was from his point of view. The latter part of that really wasn't necessary, though. You could also just check around for the giant mob of adults crowded around one area. That was an easier task than empathy, as there WAS quite a large mob surrounding a VERY broken home. Ooh, Sen noted, let's use a combo this time. It's not as fun just Teleporting around everywhere. He did have a point there, so Magical Leaf was the first choice.

Glowing leaves blew down from atop the horribly-managed buildings, surrounding the house and everything in it in a multi-colored (albeit mostly green) tornado. An adult was inside, finding himself trapped with the child the mob was just about to condemn before he was swept off his feet and face-planting against the creaking wooden floor. Alessa giggled quietly, emerging from the old man's shadow. Shadow Sneak was always fun for tripping someone up. Double Team next, Sen? The Kirlia responded in agreement, five separate Alys encompassing the old man to keep him confused as he stood up while the real little girl approached the child cowering in the corner.

Alessa really didn't want to bother with being kind right now; the leaves were going to fall away soon. So instead of beating around the proverbial bush, she grabbed the fraidy-boy's hand and disappeared into thin air, bringing him with her.

Name: Scarlet Johnson

Nickname: No Nickname.

Age: 12

Sex: Female

Appearance: Scarlet is slightly tanned on her legs and arm's, but her face and all the rest are more pale. Her eye's are a sort of Aqua emerald color, they shine in the sunlight and her eye lashes is super short. Scarlet hardly blushes, it's a sort of light red mixed with a bit of light pink. Her hair is a really dark, creamy pink color. She likes to wear it in a ponytail to the back and leaves a long, very thick strip of hair going down the front on each side, up to her breasts. Scarlet wears a big, white ribbon/bow to keep her ponytail in and has bang's a that hangs right above both her eye's. She wears a white, long sleeved top with a small stripe across the border of the arm sleeve and a thicker stripe next to it. Scarlet's nail's are painted in a dark red, and her left hands thumb has a small black heart sticker on it. Her top has a pink, color thing at the top with a orange tie like thing except but in four pieces, and it dangle's at the edge of the color thing. The color thing has a white, line at the top that turn's into a hump near the bottom. The other side is identical. Scarlet wears a pink, mini skirt that's the same type of pink as the neck color thingy. It has a white, thin line at the top of the skirt with a white ribbon at the left side and at the bottom of the skirt there are ruffles. She wears a white, leg bracelet on her leg. It's three centimeter's bellow her skirt on the left leg. The rest of Scarlet's leg is all plain, same on the right one. Scarlet wears white sock's on both her feet, both of the sock's has a small, white ribbon at the side. She wears a pair of pink trainer's with white shoelaces and a pink star on the back.

Personality: Scarlet, in one word is sweet. She isn't to harsh on people, she's more kind. Scarlet is also sort of lazy, her older sister's were lazy to and due to that Scarlet became lazy to. She doesn't like to run or do many things but if it's really needed Scarlet would get more active and go go go. Scarlet say's allot of words wrong, which can sometimes come out on the wrong end and upset people. Then again, Scarlet always cheer's up people well and gives them a good laugh if there depressed, and even if they aren't Scarlet loves to make people laugh. She is also a very good at encouraging people to do what they want, and to never give up. Yet sometimes Scarlet does the opposite. Scarlet is a very great at convincing too, which comes in handy allot. On the negative trait's, Scarlet can get greedy and selfish at times, but luckily she hardly does. She always want's to get the last word in argument's and keep's them going on. Scarlet does what she want's and never let's people tell her what to do, it's her own way of saying 'You can't boss me around' or 'You can't tell me what to do'. When someone start's to be mean or annoying to Scarlet, she talks back, no matter who it is. She never hit's or punches anyone, but a time could come where she slap's someone on the cheek or pinches them. Scarlet also likes to taunt people, she does this allot. But on the bright side, Scarlet is a good athlete which is one of the main things that makes her move more.

History: Scarlet grew up in Hearthome City for the whole of her life. She lived with just her father and five sister's. Her father had no job and he never earned any money for the family. Scarlet's older sister (Flora) managed to find a little job in town. She earned fifteen dollars everyday. Then Scarlet's other older sister (Zoey) found a job too, she worked at the Poke'mart and gained eleven dollars a day. Scarlet wanted to be like her sister's, and not lazy like her father, but it was hard to get rid of the habit of just being lazy. Scarlet stayed with her pokemon spirit almost the whole day. She kept this a secret from her father and sister's just encase. Only her mother knew about this and told her not to tell anyone about it just before she died by getting the youngest sister, Little pudding. After a while Pudding found out about Scarlet and her pokemon spirit and promised to not tell anyone, but that promise broke three day's later. Pudding told there father about Scarlet and he wanted to use her as a slave. Scarlet decided it was time to get rid of her habit of being lazy and get up and run away, she took some money from her sister's purse and a picture of her sister's and her. Scarlet ran away to the nearest place she could, the forest. A day after Scarlet heard about what happened to Hearthome City, it was a lucky thing she managed to escape before this happened. Scarlet has now set off to Eterna City to try and help other Pokemon Spirit Wielder's be set free.

Nickname: Syrena

Personality: Syrena is a very calm Leafeon, she likes to nap and be lazy just like Scarlet. Syrena also likes to brush people with her leafy, soft tail.

Moves: Synthesis, Magical Leaf, Grass Whistle, Leaf Blade, Swords Dance and Giga Drain.

It was dawn, the breeze flew calmly. All the tree's in the forest leave's flew towards the west, pointing in the direction of Eterna City. Scarlet was walking in the middle of the forest, she made the leaves under her fly back up in the sky. Scarlet was focused on how she would help the other Spirit Wielder's escape, it seemed impossible but with a good strategy it might just work. Scarlet was morphed into her Spirit Wielder form, she had a bushy green Leafeon tail. Small fangs and Leafeon ear's, except a little smaller than a real Leafeon's. All the rest looked human. "Were almost there Scarlet, if you make you'r way to the west once you make it to the big Oak tree there in the distance, you'll almost be where you want." Syrena told Scarlet, "That's good news. It feel's like i'v been walking forever!"

Scarlet walked for three hour's now, and all she thought about was how to help the other's like her. "Hey Scarlet, maybe you could rest at the Oak Tree a bit? If you want to of course." Syrena calmly suggested, that was a great idea. "Yea sure, I really need a break." Scarlet replied. She spotted the Oak tree a little in the distance, the two were almost there. Which meant it was almost time for a rest. But before they got there Scarlet began to think about how to help them again, this was really hard to think about. But she had to think of something.... hmm..... The Oak tree was clearer now, Scarlet could just spot a few pokemon in it. A Butterfree, Wurmple, Venipede. "Look Scarlet, the Oak tree is near. Let's run a bit so we can get there faster." Syrena always had the best idea's. Scarlet nodded with a smile and started to race over to the Oak tree, then a idea popped in her head.

"Hey... What if... I got it!" Scarlet triumphantly said as she made it to the Oak tree. What is it?" Syrena asked, sounding a little curious. Scarlet panted and rested her hands on her knees, then looked at her pokemon spirit. "I found the perfect way to free the other Spirit Wielders!" Scarlet stopped panting and slowly walked over to the Oak tree. She sat down, leaning against it's old bark and siting on one of it's big roots. "Well?" Syrena asked, still waiting except this time she sounded a little irritated. Scarlet took a deep breath and began to speak, "What if first, I'll go distract the guards at the entrance of the place, then when i lead them away you go inside and find out where they put the Spirit Wielder's. When you'r done go in a tree and wait for me to come back to the forest, hopefully i'll make it." Scarlet stopped to breath. Then continued.

"So after that you tell me where they are and then you distract the guards by attacking them with Leaf Blade, and once there distracted i'll sneak in and free them!" Scarlet stopped and looked at Syrena. "What did you think?" She asked curiously. "I think it's a great idea Scarlet, but what if you don't outrun the guards?" Scarlet blinked at Syrena, why did she always have to doubt? "I won't, don't worry." Scarlet smiled at her Pokemon Spirit. "Fine then." Syrena sighed. "Well do it after we take a rest, okay?" Scarlet nodded happily. "Sure." She then stopped and closed her eye's then relaxed down at the tree.

@ShinyDiamond: I'm making my OCs from scratch, which means it'll take longer. Also my laptop decided to break last night. First the power button and then the monitor immediately after I finished manually connecting broken wires to get it to start. That's going to take time away from me being able to write, as I can't take my desktop with me wherever I go.

On the bright side, I'll be getting a high end gaming laptop to replace it.
