So, given the situation...I might...possibly...kill Creed. Or Mako. Or both (well, if Mako dies so will Creed). I might have Tarsus kill him, but he seems too much like rival/recurring villain material to have him win by fatality after only two battles. I'm not decided yet, but I'm considering in for the somewhat near future.

@Machomuu: Oh yeah? I'm not sure what situation you're referring to or what purpose this serves. o3o

Creed's currently fighting someone who has the potential to kill him and, given his broken arm, probably will. I don't really have many options in terms of getting him out alive (though I could make Tarsus Gin a PC post-mortem, if that's even allowed). Though I guess the real point (or rather, the current point) of my posting this is to segue into my question: has a PC ever died in Pokemon Fallout?

It's allowed, as long as you still submit a sign-up for him.

Also, Khawill killed off one of his twin PCs practically right after he joined.

@machomuu: You could introduce another NPC to save Creed or ask another PCer to. You also can adopt an NPC as a PC, as long as it's not...y'know, one of the NPC bosses or an NPC by another person who would be against it.

On one hand, I applaud this idea, because killing your own character is a very rare occurence. On the other hand, how much suffering do you want to put poor Amy through?? Seriously, things have been pretty bad for the little girl.

She's already gotten a Haxorus spirit from watching a kid die; she's been eaten alive by her mother figure. Now you want to traumatize her further?

I would be inclined to ask how she'd ever find out? If she never gets out alive...

I mean... who would go out of their way to tell her and /why/? ;o

Well, in roleplaying we often hit that 'well isn't that convenient' cliche, in that instance they'd probably find his body. I suppose there are different ways as well. If they don't hear from him they could presume him dead (Knowing how he acts around Lucy and Amy, this is very plausible). Or perhaps, when he seems to have disappeared, they might go looking for him, and find his corpse...

... That is, if he does die.

My point remains, I don't think the girl could handle it. She'd no doubt break. Now, if Lucy had died... Put Amy on suicide watch.

Well I don't know about now, but sooner or later I'm 95% sure I'll be killing him. Thing is, Tarsus isn't really "evil", he's just a victim of circumstance that was originally scarred by witnessing the deeds of pokespirit wielders of the likes of the rebels and the Haxorus, so much so that he was really ignorant to the plight and suffering of the pokespirit wielders (and his first confrontation with Mako/Creed sure didn't help); so there is the chance that he won't kill Creed. Well, not at the moment at least; it would make sense that he would spare him out of a show of chivalry, considering that Creed is at a clear disadvantage. Eh, I'll see when the time comes.

Sorry I'm late to the topic, but I saw my name appear and I feel inclined to add in that technically it was three posts later, and it was a long post as well. Killing a character is something that needs to be a little more emotional or important than someone just up and killing them. (At least that is me). Also I've killed 2 characters so far, though one wasn't my main.

"I think someone needs a huuug!~" -A seven year old to a bisharp wielder.

But yeah, it does occur to me that suicidal depression is a rather sophisticated mental disorder and not something you'd find in a particularly young mind. >>;

The world of pokémon in general tends to be twisted when it comes to the age of it's characters anyways, so it's almost fitting! ...Despite how mature Fallout is in comparison. o.o;

Hey, don't mind me, lol. Going to be working on a sign up for this awesome rp, if that's fine by you guys aha
Took me an hour or so to draw a small pic of her for this >>;

EDIT: Alright, I think this is fine. Correct me on anything I may have messed up on.

Spoiler:

Name
: Skylar
Nickname: Skye
Age: 13
Sex: Female

Appearance:
Spoiler:

5'3, Skye's figure has always been rather mature for her age. She is tall and skinny, and has changed a lot with the addition of her pokemon spirit, Absol. Skye has white, somewhat messy hair and a horn grown out of her skeleton since transformation, along with red eyes. She refuses to wear much other than plain jeans and her coat. Though she often keeps her hood up to cover a lot of her distinct differences(including the horn she is very embarrassed about), her right claw/hand is unable to be covered. The claw she grew is much tougher from her regular skin, and is similar in material to her horn. Her left hand is unchanged.

Skye also keeps around a small knife she got from home. It appears rather clean.

Personality
: Unpredictable, depressed, and hateful, Skye unleashes most of her inner demons the only way she knows how to- through violence. Though she is perfectly 'fine' around people she chooses to put a smile on for, Skye is very emotionally unstable. She sees no hope for herself and her mental state. She doesn't know how to get better, and assumes there is no way to fix her mistakes. Skye is also very ignorant on how to take care of herself without stealing, her selfish nature preventing her from learning much else. But overall, she is troubled by her insecurities, and the many flaws she has. She can see them all clearly and she wishes she could be a better person.

Underneath most of her negativity, Skye is a rather social and loving person(if she opens up to anybody). She connects and knows a great deal about people, often sensing emotions and reflecting them on herself. Though this isn't always a good thing, Skye is both a great listener and great advice-giver in any situation, truly only wanting to make other people happy and make sure they don't end up like her. Only her anger at the world leads her to become irrational and merciless, pushing those positive traits away.

History: Skye grew up with an average family in Jubilife City. Though her parents hid a lot of things from her and constantly fought, Skye's younger sister was the best friend she could've ever wished for. Everything she knew and loved was imitated by her sibling, which Skye had taught to be similar to her in interests. Skye did not understand much of what was truly happening in the chaos of her city, as her parents wouldn't answer such questions about the subject, but this only made her increasingly furious. Instead, her few friends let her in on current events and such, and told her about the pokemon incident that drove their government into insanity.

She had enough one day, leaving the house after having an argument with her father. It wasn't until after she heard the sound of a gun she decided to run back home to find the house in ruin. Her parents laid dead on the floor with bulletholes pierced in their skulls and torsos, while her younger sister was nowhere in sight. She searched around the entire city, tears flooding her face as she scanned the place for her sibling. Trying to survive by herself, Skye used whatever resources and food she had left to keep herself stable with no one to care for her. She was an orphan and she was clueless on what actions to take to keep herself from going mad.

Overflowing with depression and frustration, Skye left her home for good to go and seek help elsewhere in the region. Midway on her journey, after crossing Oreburg City, she traveled in Mt Coronet. This was the place where she discovered her pokemon spirit, Sol. She was clueless that she was one of the first to discover such pokemon spirits, but she abused the power like none other. Now having something to help her release her hatred, Skye took refuge in Eterna City, stealing what she needed to survive and some extra. Those who refused to give up what she wanted were either killed by the little girl or severely injured. Residents were unable to stop them for a long time, though the threat of mobs has now taught Skye to being more cautious than usual while committing crime.

Together, both her and Sol have grimly learned to embrace their new life.

Species: Absol
Nickname: Sol
Personality: Abnormally cold and rude, Sol doesn't trust anybody, and has long had his true self clouded by fear and pain. He believes there is no hope for human nor pokemon alike, and his depressive attitude easily reflects this view. He is foolish, while only believing other people to be the fools themselves. To others, his judgmental attitude and childish behavior is easily irritable and frowned upon. But deep down, Sol yearns for acceptance, and someone to take care of him.

Moves:
- Toxic
- Sucker Punch
- Double Team
- Psycho Cut
- Hidden Power *Fighting Type
- Perish Song (Not usable. Or is it?)

Other: Due to Absol's natural senses, Skye is able to predict disasters. This ability can help her predict everything from earthquakes to surprise attacks/mobs. However, her senses can only travel so far, and if pushed too much, she will get severe headaches.

Opening Post:

"This is the Children's City I've been hearing about? Kinda pathetic to be honest. Just a whole bunch of kids running around, you really gotta wonder how lawful such a place can be," chuckled Skye to herself. It had been a long travel from Eterna City, and all she could think about was getting something to eat. Her usual ways of getting food were going to be different here. Instinctively, the girl pulled her hood over her head and tried to shade her ruby eyes.

"Yes, this is Hearthome, Skylar. Like I've said before, this place is overrun by orphans and other Spirit Wielders just like you. Some probably containing multiple spirits, actually, so don't be stupid and start anything right away," Sol chimed in. She could hear the roughness in his voice from her mind. "I love how you added 'right away' in that equation," she laughed alongside her friend, "But seriously, you know me. I don't plan on making a bad reputation here. If anything, I'm going to be turning over a new leaf, if you know what I mean." She could envision her partner shaking his head as he insulted her, "You're a moron, Skylar, you really are."

Feet now hitting pavement, Skye instantly noticed how many children were out, just minding their own business. She couldn't spot many distinct spirit wielders, only able to assume that they didn't feel like letting their presence be known, either. Almost immediately after entering she was stopped in place by a boy no older than the age of 10.

"Do you have any food or supplies on you?" the child asked her, holding out his hand, "It is required by Nicholas that all newcomers give up whatever they have to lend to the community." Her face immediately turned sour. Looking down at the boy, she let off a small growl from her throat. "No, I don't. Except this," Skye said irritatingly, pulling out a chocolate bar from her pocket, "Tell me, kid, who's this Nicholas guy? Some sort of president or whatever?"

"I don't need to tell you anything," the little boy whined, "... but Nicholas is the leader of this city, so you should really give up that candy of yours and listen to me." Skylar laughed in a sad tone, though her eyes glared with colors of fire. "I really hate liars," she told him, kneeling down to his height, "Tell me, how many people have you conned with this trick? Do you enjoy crushing other people's feelings?"

"What people don't know can't hurt them. It's just an admission fee, after all... besides, you yourself couldn't hurt me if you wanted to, and you know it."

"Ha... whatever. Shame on you," Skye growled out, gently pushing the brat aside from her path. The scary thing was, he was right. She couldn't hurt him if she wanted to. This place already seemed to be rather screwed up, and now, she wasn't sure if she was completely safe anywhere. "Don't let anyone screw with your head. Let's just find somewhere to stay, or at least someone to give us directions. I'm really just as clueless as you are at this point, and that says a lot," the Absol whispered to her. A slight nod set her search into action.

@Batel: We hold the RP to a higher quality standard than the anime, and choose to believe that the lack of an explanation for some things in the games is not an indication of things not making sense. (Pessimism is kinda lame, don't you think?) When I made the RP it was based solely on the games, and does not break canonity under any condition. (Though it is, of course, darker.) BW2 could have potentially caused canonity problems, but it didn't. It could have safely happened while the scientists were still trying to build their memetic virus, with the infection taking place after the entirety of it was over.

@Vanellope: Awesome! We eagerly await your finished product.

It's not just the anime, they supposedly let children at the age of 10 venture out into the world at the age of ten in the games as well (and younger, as you can often find younger children in forests, caves, and the like). It's a great way to prevent Thomas Malthus' predictions from coming true...or it would be, but pokemon are far less aggressive towards humans than their animal counterparts (er...counterparts, that is; I'm pretty sure that "ice cream" is not an animal -.-) and people, at least the ones that are shown, are also far less...dark, to put it broadly, which is really why it's not as much of a concern. That, and they can't go out without a pokemon (or a supervisor), so the idea that a child can go out into the world in such a way is not as absurd as it may seem. That's not to say that it's not absurd at all, it definitely is and it's still a bad idea to send a ten year old child out into the world on their own, even if it is a "forced" and rather successful way of making them learn about the world, commerce, and socialism, but it's not as dangerous as it is in our world.

You're generally allowed to come up with any situation for your character. You don't need to interact with any other PCs; it's just your character, the environment, and maybe any NPCs you could come across.

As for the story, it's set in Sinnoh about a hundred years after Arceus removed Pokémon from the world. After they were taken away, humanity suffered a technological collapse. Many cities are broken beyond disrepair at this time, but not in total ruin. Most buildings are actually still intact to some degree. People resort to foraging, thievery and even cannibalism for sustenance these days. There should be enough information on the major cities (where most humanity resides now) in the first post, but Yellow and I can help with information concerning other towns and routes. (For the most part, though, you can consider any non-listed city as uninhabitable. E.g., a mass of plantlife growing over Floaroma Town has made that only a home to Grass-type and Poison-type Pokéspirit wielders, and the like.)

I looked at your SU, and it's nice, but it's set in the time when Pokémon were just disappearing. Could you fix this for era? Fallout takes place well after the removal of Pokémon. Also, Perish Song /is/ a usable move, but it'll effectively kill the user and pretty much anyone hearing it unless you come up with another way it can work. (I could possibly help with that if you'd like, if you're kind of bent on having Perish Song available.)

Oh, lol. Yeah, immediately went to edit reading that first sentence about the timeline aha, thanks a lot. But what is everyone in the RP doing right now?

I'm probably going to keep it just because I think it's a unique move. If I can't think of any way to make it different, I'll just have it kept as the normal effect.

"Everyone", as in all the /active/ player characters, is pretty scattered. There's a good group at Mount Coronet. Some are at the foot of the mountain. One group is in Hearthome City, and some are in Eterna City.

@Vanellope: Alright... there's one big problem we noticed while reading your SU. Namely, guns are explicitly forbidden in the rules--Yet, they're explicitly present in your SU. ^^; Here's the rule in question.

Quote:
• No guns whatsoever. Human weapons in general are to be considered useless when used on pokespirit wielders with the exception of explosives which are able to cause bruises and stun pokespirit wielders that weren't bracing themselves. Heavier explosives may result in severe disorientation and or the victim being thrown through the air, and may cause bruises more frequently, but once again are unlikely to actually end a pokespirit wielder's life. (The one exception on human weapons is a blade wielded by a pokespirit wielder. A blade wielded by a pokespirit wielder is capable of causing significant damage to other pokespirit wielders due to the sheer strength behind it, but will be very prone to shattering on any given strike.)
That was /the/ big issue, though. I didn't find anything else immediately problematic. That being said there is one other thing I wanted to talk about: Perish Song. Namely, me and Torn talked about it and I immediately suggested we not attempt to fix the move and instead paraphrase it in a very literal sense to RP.

That being said, Perish Song works as it does in the game. People who hear it will suffer, vaguely, pain/damage equivalent to that needed to knock them out. That being said the attack shouldn't outright kill people (Though it would put them in a position where the would likely be too weak to survive an additional attack aimed at finishing them off)

In the games perish song can be negated by exiting the battle in any way. That being said, if someone who is effected by perish song ceases to fight and makes an active attempt to flee the scene perish song will not effect them, unless forcefully prevented from fleeing. Perish Song is not subtle. Nobody is going to die of ignorance via perish song. People effected will be able to feel their oncoming demise before it happens somehow.

Pursuing the person fleeing will not preserve perish song. (Note that if the fleeing person is trying to keep on fighting while they're fleeing, it no longer counts as an active attempt and perish song will proceed as normal.)

There we go, Amy Post. I think it's pretty dark, suitable for this RP.
