Just another one of those 2-gamed games(Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire are examples.)

STORY

Note: They are closely simmilar yet small differences are there.

Pokemon Nova

As we all know "Today is the day you get your first pokemon...." Let's just skip that. Prof. Oak asks of you to collect rare "Solar" shards which can be used to re-create the Nova-Orb which Prof. Oak plans to use to travel to the corrupt world(for research). He then decides to give you a pokemon and you set off to find the 16 fragments. As you go on your journey you learn the secrets of the fragments and learn of Team Nova/Eclipse who both have complete different ideals, you however find that Team Nova is also after the Nova-Orb and you must collect the fragments before they do. Team Eclipse however have different ideals and help you collect the Solar Shards so that Team Nova may not get to their ideals.

Pokemon Eclipse

As we all know "Today is the day you get your first pokemon...." Let's just skip that. Prof. Oak asks of you to collect rare "Lunar" shards which can be used to re-create the Eclipse-Orb which Prof. Oak plans to use to travel to the Shadow world(for research). He then decides to give you a pokemon and you set off to find the 16 fragments. As you go on your journey you learn the secrets of the fragments and learn of Team Nova/Eclipse who both have complete different ideals, you however find that Team Eclipse is also after the Eclipse-Orb and you must collect the fragments before they do. Team Nova however have different ideals and help you collect the Solar Shards so that Team Eclipse may not get to their ideals.
