Story:
This is part of what will become a mini-series known as the "Johto Legacy", which continues to tell the story of Johto after Gold and Silver left off. This is much more than a simple graphics hack to add snow. This game takes place the same year as GSC, just later in the year. It assumes that the events of GSC (the radio tower take over, gyrados and all) took place that summer, so the major events will be different, and more holiday themed. But it isn't just a holiday gimmick. If you love Ice types, or just want to see a new story in Johto, this is for you.
What's New:
- Major events changed to new and often Holiday themed ones
- New tilesets to give it a snowy winter feel
- Map updates to take advantage of more map block availability
- New Pokemon added (from other gens, plus a line of Fakemon)
- A new move (Flame Ball)
- Several new items
- Ice sliding on frozen lakes, not just in Ice Path.
- A few references to other Skeetendo hacks you might catch (including hints at the upcoming prequel)
- New locations (and missing Kanto areas restored)
- Some wild pokemon location changes, some are the same
- Some trainers changed, several the same
- Lots of events have been redone, removed, added, etc.
- Some trainer classes have been changed
- There have been changes to the Elite Four
- Viridian has a different leader
- Game corner prizes (Johto and Kanto)
- More

Just like Platinum, the player is dressed for cold weather
New Cueball Trainer
New Female Swimmer
Olivine City
Kanto also gets an update
Pokecenters get an update as well. Melash is also using this tileset for his Pokémon Hack.
Things have changed, even before you leave home.
I wonder how?
Route 45 anyone? (You cannot surf from there, though. The water is on a different level than you.)
South Isle (NPCs edited out because I didn't want to spoil the Legend Festival)
A taste of the new update. Increased continuity with the upcoming prequel.
Continuity addition. This house belongs to the player from Spirits and Legends.
Hmm, I can't imagine what this place would be.
Another Sterling Silver reference, Zigzagoon and Linoone are here now! And there is a surprise related to them, too.
I had forgotten to rename this route in the last version, so that's been fixed.
It's been redesigned too! Wonder what South Isle itself is doing.
Well, we can't go through that cave yet.
And what are Team Rocket doing here?
There's obviously something Rockety going on at South Isle.
Could this have something to do with why Jasmine is taking so long to return from her trip?

Note: The Bug Fixed and Final Trainer patch should be applied to a clean rom, then given the same final name so you can resume from your saved game. I've kept the original patch up, but if you are downloading this for the first time, you will want to get the latest version.
Well it was one of those things where I originally released it at Christmas on Skeetendo, and then I got bogged down with classes so it took a while to get caught up on bug fixes, so once it was finally *done* I figured I would post it around, even if it didn't make a lot of sense in March. Although I guess I could have waited until July and said "Happy Christmas in July!" like people sometimes do.
This looks good. Nice work. I appreciate surprises but is there any way you could explain some more about what makes this different than the original? What are the new pokemon you've added and have you changed the trainers or the wild pokemon locations?

Yes. Eevee is available from Bill in Goldenrod city (he was in original gold, too) Although now you can get him before Ecruteak, whereas in Gold you had to have Bill tell you the time capsules were online first.
And yes, you can purchase the stones in the department store. It bothered me that they took them out of the kanto dept. store in Gold, so I made up for it by putting them in both.
Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I've found a few more small things after release too. I'll get a patch together soon that will fix them. The others that have been found have pretty much been text errors (someone says you met Lance when you didn't, and the "How does ELM know you got an egg from the daycare couple?" question people ask)and other minor things, like a couple of the new Pokemon were in the wrong egg groups. If you guys find anything else, let me know and I'll include it in the minor fixes patch too.
Glad you guys are enjoying this, even with it released at a random non-christmas time xD
Remember that gatehouse leading into the woods that had rockets blocking the exit saying they were stirring up trouble? You should check that out again after talking to Red at Lake of Rage.
I loved this hack, especially near the end. I haven't played the fixed version yet, but I'll make sure to try it out! I'll be pretending it's December again whilst I play

I'm really thinking into downloading the file so I can play this, I read every single positive post here, and while I don't get as much excitment from GSC hacks (personal peference) I will try this out, knowing that this will be more enjoyable. :D
