I'm currently playing Gold, then Ruby, Platinum and Black afterwards.

-Forced the Bicycle Shop Owner to give me one.
-Played a few games at Game Corner.
-Forced by a woman to bring a watering can, a police to carry his message to his friend (corruption?), and a dirty old athlete with an equally dirty old tadpole to play by his own rules.
-No luck at Pokeathlon.
-Before being blackmailed by the athlete, cleared Route 35. Magmar made my life hard.
-Pickup really is convenient.
-Saved before participating in Bug Catching Contest.
-I thought bugs have six legs. Why do they have only four?
-Reset the game many times until, finally, captured a Scyther. How unlucky could I get? Won the Sun Stone and named him Deadpool.
-Grinded Deadpool and came by the odd tree after kicking the backsides of the bystanders/trainers. Heck, they can do it themselves. Why should it be me?
-Watered the tree. The tree got angry. I thought plants need water?
-Oh, it's a rock that mimics trees. Simple. Kill it.
-Or not. Captured it in a single Pokeball after weakening it with False Swipe. Given Berry Pots as reward by a bystander. Planted Oran Berries. And was still amazed by the usefulness of the move False Swipe. :D
-Still grinding Deadpool before we raided Ecruteak City.

Hey guys, I'm back with another update. Sorry it's taken so long, grinding was ALOT harder than I thought it would be.

(Final) Update 3!

OK, I think I posted an update 2.5 before the other thread was locked, but for everyone's sake, I'll start from right after I beat N and Ghetsis.

So, the first thing I did (obviously) was catch my last two teammates - Poliwrath and Breloom! Went right to Driftveil City to catch a Poliwag on Route 6. Surprisingly, I managed to catch a Poliwhirl! It was female, so I went random and named it Aquamarine. Then, after DAYS of SRing (soft resetting if you didn't know) the game, I got a swarm Shroomish on Route 11. It was also female, and I named it Crys (short for Chrysanthemum, the flower) (I know, I spelled it wrong.), not at all related to my LG Poliwrath, Chris. Sadly, I forgot to get Spore on Crys before she evolved. Tough luck. Anyway, then the grinding process began (my pokes were only around the low to mid- 50s.). From 50 to 60, I fought Audinos purely. From 60 to 70, I used a mixture of the Nimbasa stadium and court, the trainers in the post-game, and the dark grass pokes under Village Bridge. I had to cut Gale's (my Mienshao's) training short at 68 because it was going way too slowly. Anyway, I then went on to face Morimoto, then Cynthia. Here are the play-by-plays.

Level grinded at the Elite 4 until I was fed up and took on Mt Silver
Got to the poke center then flew to back to Celadon to Blackthorn to forget some HMs
Taught Tentacruel Icy Wind and Ran up to Red...
The Fight :
-Pikachu stood hopeless against Quagsire and Red happened to waste his two full restores on him :D
-Then came Venusaur... PAIN... I sent Tentacruel to set up Rain Dance when he would do Sunny day so it wouldn't spam Solar Beam and so I'd have a free turn to use Icy Wind. I dwindled his HP slowly to 1/3 and he finally got a Crit. wich took Tentacruel out. I sent Feraligatr which used Ice Punch and left it with 1-5 HP. LUCKILY, he used Solarbeam (charge) and thanks to all the Icy Winds, he was slow so I could throw another Ice Punch before it could do anything.
-Espeon was next. I sent Lanturn to Parafusion it, then I sent Quagsire. After a few Amnesias, I Revived Tentacuel and then took Espeon out with a few Earthquakes.
-Snorlax was taken care of by some lucky Dynamic punches and "self hurt" on his part.
-Blastoise was taken out by Tentacruel's Toxic
-Charizard was taken out by Lanturns Thunderbolts.

Another update!

-Grinded Deadpool. Drowzee and Stantler gave me much exp.
-What? A Yanma? Capture it immediately!
-Captured Yanma and stored it promptly.
-Went to Ecruteak and promptly went to Route 38.
-Captured some Magnemite but was still bugged by lack of Metal Coats and the fact that Magnemite in my game appears more rarely than Miltank, despite what Serebii and Bulbapedia says.
-Aha! Magnet Pull! That will do the trick!
-Ooooh. Shiny Leaf for my slave Magnemite!
-Captured 30 Magnemite but only two had Metal Coats. Heh. Just enough for Deadpool and Rocky II, which will later on upgrade to a much harder material than rock.
-I didn't told you all before but since I was using an emulator, I first thought of using Evolution Editor, which was given to me by jdthebud. But I did also a little searching and found this. Sweet! Sorry jdthebud for not telling you earlier.

-Anyway, this is programmed to evolve Scyther and Onix when level-uped with equipped Metal Coat. So, long story short, Deadpool and Rocky II evolved!
-Replaced Magnemite with another Magnemite with stats that are more appealing to me. Sorry Shiny Leaf!
-Will now grind the soon-to-be Magneto II. Excited about the Parafuse.
-Also, it is also programmed to evolve Magneton to Magnezone if level-uped with Magnet equipped. Not a bad deal, though Magnet's not like Metal Coat. Hmmm. What should I do?

-Saw a Heavy Make-up Girl/Kimono Girl harassed by a Rocket Grunt. Hey! They're the ones' who also harassed the Slowpokes!
-Taught the grunt how to spin until he blasts off like what's happening in TV. Given Surf as reward and taught it to Croconaw.
-Got the Dowsing Machine and was encouraged to become a treasure hunter. HAHAHA! :D
-Treasure hunting time! :D
-What the..an obese man bumped me? I demand compensation!
-Got it in form of Strength. Taught it to Aipom.

Right now, I'm not in the mood to post a more detailed update, so forgive me. My body's aching and I would like a longer rest.

Anyway, here's a summary of events:

-Met the dejected owner of Safari Zone.
-Magneto Jr and Spike evolved at last! So happy! :D
-Defeated trying-hard-to-be-cool-guy-who-cannot-even-capture-a-dog.
-Defeated Cianwood Gym, mostly using Deadpool's Wing Attack.
-Delivered SecretPotion to Amphy. Wonder if it works for my body? :D
-Defeated Olivine Gym, this time using Rocky MkII's freshly learned Dig.
-Played Baoba's rules.
-Taught Strength to Slave I (Croconaw).
-Did I broke a rule when I evolved Slave II (Togepi) so that I could have Flash and Fly in my grasp? The Flash was taught after she was hatched.
-Anyway, treasure hunting time!

Another Update!

-After Dark Cave and Mt. Mortar, went to Mahogany Town and Lake of Rage.
-Extortionists in the gates, fans run wild, and a red Gyarados? What's happening in the world?
-Then came a trying-hard-to-look-like-a-hero with his equally show-off pet. There is definitely wrong in this world.
-Went back to Mahogany Town after kicking the trainers' backsides.
-News Flash: A man was put to sleep after being deliberately hit by a Dragonite's Hyper Beam.
-Seriously? Why can't I hit the trainers and HE can?
-Long story short, kicked the Team Rocket's collective asses out of Mahogany Town. What town will they harass next? Not my concern.
-Also saw another show-off with red hair whining about being kicked hard by a bleeding-heart.
-Grinded because I'm not satisfied with their levels and then razed the Mahogany Gym.
-Pawned Pryce with only Spike's SolarBeam (and a Bug Bite on his Piloswine to steal his Berry).
-Received a report that apparently, Team Rocket had chosen to target Goldenrod City.

Platinum Ground Challenge Update:

- Started the game, and naturally picked Turtwig as the starter
- Grinded through all of the beginning game-stuff and made my way towards Oreburgh with only Turtwig. Caught a few pokemon along the way, no ground-types though
- Beat Roark without any issues; Absorb and Razor Leaf got me through easily.
- Turtwig evolved into Grotle!
- Machop's Rock Smash got me through to Floaroma Town.
- Caught Shellos in the Valley Windworks, proceeded to dispatch of Team Galactic in the area easily.
- Went through Eterna Forest with Cheryl, got some much needed exp for Shellos
- Reached Eterna City - went and beat Gardenia with Grotle, who now knows Bite
- Beat Jupiter and the rest of the Galatics in the city

So, yeah, basically, I've got two badges. I'm planning in Gligar/Gliscor, Gible/Gabite/Garchomp, and Rhyhorn/Rhydon/Rhyperior (if I can find a way to trade).

Part #1:

Saved Professor Birch, using Mudkip (This is Water challenge; Mudkip is water type. No reasoning needed.) I named Mudkip Bob because I felt like it.

Defeated May on Route 103

Got running shoes

Defeated trainers on Route 102, healed in Petalburg City, then ran around in the grass until I caught a Lotad (Reason: not weak to grass, and I need another pokemon). I named it Joe because I felt like it.

Helped Wally catch a Ralts

Ran around on Route 104 forever looking for Wingull, finally found it and caught it (Reason: Wingulls evolution chain is one of two water pokemon chains in the game that can use Fly (the other evolution chain is in gen 5), and HM slavery is wrong). I named it Ted because I felt like it (see a trend?)

Defeated Aqua grunt in Petalburg woods

Battled the trainers on route 104

Got the TM for Bullet Seed from a girl after leaving Petalburg Forest; used it on Joe

Arrived in Rustboro City and challenged the gym

Part #2:

Spoiler:

Go towards the tunnel after the Aqua Grunt, while something magical happened to Mudkip

Went into the tunnel and defeated the Team Aqua Grunt. Again.

Rescued the old man’s Wingull (He’s smart and has awesome water type pokemon, and Team Aqua doesn’t use any water pokemon)

Went to Mr. Briney’s house and took the boat to Dewford.

I went to the cave and trained Bob and Ted to 18 and Joe to level 15 to challenge the gym. Joe Evolved!

Defeated brawly using only Ted
I got my second badge.

Taught Flash to Joe, forgetting Nature Power

Went into granite cave to find Steven

Easily got to him and got his TM, Steel Wing

Immediately used it on Ted and forgot Growl.

Took Mr. Briney’s Boat to Slateport

Battled trainers, had no problems

Went to the building for CAPT. STERN, and then went the museum

Defeated both grunts in the top floor room, and the boss threatened me

Gave the parts to STERN

Took the boat back to Rustboro, went to Devon and got a EXP. Share

Took boat to Dewford and got an old rod

Caught a Magikarp and named it Sam because I felt like it (Yes, I like this reason for naming)

Gave Sam the EXP share, so that it will evolve into Gyarados

Trained in Granite cave until Ted was level 20 and Sam was level 10

In Battle against May, easily won, though Ted took a few hard attacks from grovyle

Got to Mauville with no problem, went to the pokemon center to heal and saved

Defeated gym, Wattson only had a chance because of Sonicboom (does 20 damage no matter what)
Bob was Level 23 and Sam was level 16 after the gym
