Maybe a random bad guy thats exclusive to this movie will do what team plasma did. Then again team rocket appeared in the first movie... who knows what they'll do?!

There will probably be back story in the movie to explain everything. That is uselly what happens. They make explain it a little in the Anime when Plasma enters. Ash appears to know about Genesect already by the name of it. Another question I have is why is only Ash and Pikachu in the trailer? He seemed to be walking alone. Where is Cilan and Iris?

Most of the early trailers only show Ash in them. Chances are, this exact scene won't even be in the movie.

Already putting out merchandise for it that shows a lot of the main Pokemon in the movie. Iris' Dragonite is on a watch so I assume she's still there. Ash's Charizard or another Charizard to be in the movie as well. The last one is blank so it could be the co-star like Keldeo's revealing during the Kyurem Movie.

My guess it is Ash's Charizard. Because it has showed up in this movie now and the poster of the new season. Ash might get Charizard to help Iris and Dragonite to work together better, but who knows.

Not confirmed yet, but the scans from this months Coro Coro claimed the title of the movie is "Extremespeed Genesect and the Reawakening of Mewtwo" so quite fitting for a Rocket vs. Plasma movie.

I hope this is true; you have no idea how many people want to see Mewtwo and Genesect square off in the anime for 3 years now since they've learned about Genesect's origin.

Same here, also this would be the perfect chance for them to show off Mewtwo's new signature move in the anime. However Mewtwo is at a major disadvantage type wise...

I'm going to say it's the one and only. The anime seemed to depict Mewtwo as one of a kind and the only one to exist. Now while we know there were other experiments on the island where Mewtwo was created, Mewtwo also destroyed everything there. So, unless another Mewtwo clone is around, I'd say they were bringing back the same one.

The last we saw, Mewtwo left the island he and his clones were hiding upon in Mewtwo Returns and seemed to be migrating from place to place. Even stopping at a location that resembled New York City, which could perhaps be today's Castelia City. Now I doubt the game developers and writers thought this far ahead at the time when they incorporated that ending scene in Mewtwo Returns, but I think deep down they always knew they wanted to create a location that was based off of New York. So Mewtwo being reawakened somewhere in Unova would make perfect sense when you think about it.

Given the likeliness of a heavy Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma plot here, it would be more effective for them to use the same Mewtwo we saw from the original movie anyway.

It's still pretty much obvious that the location will be movie-only so whether the location from Mew2 Returns really is a New York or not won't really matter...
Anyways, it would be pretty nice if Satoshi remembered Mewtwo and Mewtwo remembered Satoshi...

Mewtwo Vs Genesect, or basically the best Pokemon movie ever. I seriously hope we get a trailer this weekend, as February usually has one, or at least next week. The final battle, its gonna be amazing.

Of course he would, this the movie, where things actually make sense. Oh wait, I'm sorry, things don't. New Tork City for example, is the name. You haven't seen the real mewtwo makes me hope to Arceus that we get a new Forme for it.

Hoo boy this looks promising. And wow Satoshi recognizing Mewtwo is actually really exciting! I'm not sure why Mewtwo's around though... was this where he's been living since the end Mewtwo Returns? Hopefully that will be explained. Also I'm not too enthralled with Genosect at the moment. Maybe when I get what it's for. Who knows. This looks epic and exciting though. :D

I might actually see this. Mewtwo is one of my favourite lengedaries.

I don't think Ash would've forgotten Mewtwo. In Mewtwo Strikes Back, he only erased the memory of people who wished to do him wrong i.e. Team Rocket. He let Ash and his friends keep the memories of him and what had occurred, unlike in Pokemon: The First Movie. I doubt anyone's going to forget a meeting with a legendary Pokemon. I'd even reckon he still remember Ho-Oh "flying over the rainbow."

Watch Mewtwo transform...and the rest of the new trailer!

I have to be honest though, with all the hype and given how significant a Pokémon like Mewtwo is, I was expecting its transformation to be a bit more detailed. This is just lazy in my opinion. The movie looks very exciting though!

Anyone notice Mewtwo's very feminine voice?

It makes me wonder why they changed seiyuus...
Now Mew2 sounds too girly... Well American version will "fix" it and no one will care... because no one watches Japanese versions :/
