Can you do tricks with poker chips, like the shuffle or rotating them in your hand?

I'm only asking because I'm trying to learn myself. I want to take up poker again - it's been a while, and back during my first phase I couldn't go to casinos when I was 19 - and I thought it would be cool to play with the chips a little. I've watched YouTube videos and am teaching myself one trick at a time from that.

Do any of you know how to do those? What do people think? Do you care, or is it just a useless skill? xD

I grew up in a family that played a lot of poker. When I was at the table I got bored sometimes so I learned the chip shuffle. I haven't done it in a while, but I'm pretty sure I can still do it. I think I did the one where you roll the chip over your fingers once, but never again after that. x)

I can't do any poker chip tricks, but now I really want to! I certainly wouldn't say it's a useless skill if you enjoy it and it makes you look cool at the poker table, plus it could help you look calm and bluff your way to winning millions. I might try to learn some soon, could be a fun way to kill an afternoon B) I don't actually know many though other than the classic rolling a chip over your finger trick; what else actually is there?

There are a couple others you can look at in the suggested videos. I'm still trying to master the shuffle... it's hard, but it's great for my fine motor skills xD

My brother was pretty keen on poker a few years ago, and so would constantly force me to play it with him. I'm not that keen on poker since it's very repetitive so I would constantly fiddle with the chips so by the time he'd gotten bored of only playing with me I could do the chip shuffle and I could roll a chip across my knuckles.
To learn the chip tricks I would just think logically about how I would do it, for example with the rolling trick I would pull one finger up and pull it across my knuckle and repeat until I got to the end where I would start again, and then I would start off slowly and speed up as I got to a pretty decent speed.
