But before you do, you'll need the Nitro plugins for 3ds Max. 'Cause there's no other way of converting an .imd into an .nsbmd. The plugins should be included in a G3DCVTR package, which should be found searching Google.

As for the map editor, it's good that it has an import tool, but sadly it's only for Generation IV, if you're making a hack for Generation V, you'll have to extract the BMD0 manually with a hex editor, as well as importing the BMD0 manually once you've compiled the .imd using G3DCVTR.exe.

I improved the speed in the version that supports HGSS. It's now faster when saving, but do you mean to speed it up each time a map loads or when it saves? Because I've already done my best to make it as fast as possible.

I'm thinking he has in mind what A-Map does where you can "Paint" your movement permissions.

5 new maps have been added to DarkDiamond, but it happened when my tool didn't exist yet, so it was really hard work 'cause I made it manually. It's currently paused due to school and work on SDSME.

Pichu2000 helped me today and I managed to decrypt some text strings from Pokémon Diamond. Text hacking will come very soon...

How did you install the plugins on 3DS Max 8?
Ive tried and only got errors....

But for 3DS Max 6 you can install the plugins w/o problems.
Is there any solutions?

Hey, I've got a bit of an error to report.

While playing around with warps and trying to get them to work, I noticed something - editing warps in the Event Editor does nothing. Even after hitting the "Save Current" button, it doesn't actually save what you've edited. Once you close the window, the edit goes away completely, which can be seen clearly when you open up the event editor again. Hope you can get this fixed soon, but this tool's still amazing either way!

I think it only supports DP for warps as of now.
I don't know but it seems to work on Diamond.

Well, when I first installed them on 3ds Max 8, I installed them in the same way as you do with 3ds Max 6. Remember to backup the IGame.dll before replacing it with the one in the Intelligent Systems IS-NITRO plugin kit. It displayed the "NINTENDO NITRO-System" option, but when exporting them as .imd or any file format... 3ds Max crashed, which I think might be my laptop issue.

What are you trying to do? Everything regarding external files should be working fine (apart from events, which I'm already fixing).

It still not working for me I keep getting the same error when I load the ROM, I don't know what's the problem...

I was hoping if the terrain editor works yet!

On new bark town when you go into Pro. Elm's house(not lab) its like on the stairs.
Is that height change?

The terrain section is completely undocumented. It's the only thing in DS maps that is left to hack, but I plan to support it as soon as I discover the way it works. Those stairs are configured in the terrain section, btw, like the slopes after Mt Moon.
