And don't forget the people walking onto a Youtube video and going "derp call of duty is best pony lol" and getting millions of replies! Seriously, you don't even have to ****ing TRY to troll on Youtube.

You don't even have to type anything at all. Just copy and paste the Gorilla Warfare copypasta and BOOM, replies will guaranteed start pouring into your inbox every second.

that's why I like PC better.

More civilized, and better moderating system.

Then again they're probably busy getting hammered with Google employees so I can't blame them for not giving a crap

They're too busy changing the layout every week to fix any problems the new layouts bring.

That can't be any further from the truth.

Gotta make things increasingly inconvenient and difficult to navigate with.

So... Yesterday was my brother's birthday. Went to a nice place called Ichiriki. If you can't tell by the name, it was a Japanese restaurant. You basically cook your own food in a broth, hot pot style... It didn't look like a lot but it was actually more than adequate.

On that note, do people in the mainland really wear footwear inside the house? I've always gone barefoot inside any house but it seems like in social media and on television on such people are content to walk into a building with their shoes on and that barefeet inside of a house is "relegated" to Japanese culture.

Not from the mainland which I am inferring that you are referring to USA. I also don't wear any shoes inside my house. It is probably an Asian tradition (not just Japan, just that the Japanese are more conscious about it)

I love hotpot, cos I am Chinese!

And I don't celebrate Halloween.

Depends on the place. One of my friends has a huge point of not wearing shoes inside the house for her own reasons, I usually either take my shoes off at the door or wherever I end up sitting down, because I don't like wearing shoes. But if I'm at someone else's house I leave my shoes on unless they ask me to take them off.

The friend is Asian though, that never occurred to me.

No-one really cares what you wear on your feet inside a house at all over here. People only ever ask others to take their shoes off to keep the floor clean, lol. And most people don't really care too much about that anyway.
Yes, I'm really Spinarak.

Happy British Religious Extremist & Terrorist Day!

I take my shoes off, but I don't like wearing shoes if I don't have to. Most people I know don't even think about taking their shoes off though.

Well in NA, certainly the general courtesy is to take your shoes off. However back in Hong Kong, if you're visiting as guests, you keep your shoes on in apartments and etc. Even then the host will generally wear slippers =p if the host goes around in barefeet, then really they're quite close to you and regard you as close friends/family members that it doesn't matter.

Well I don't know of anybody here who takes their shoes off when visiting someone, and in fact it's usually more polite for the homeowner to get their shoes on if someone is visiting them :P Although, when I'm alone, I prefer using slippers.

I always thought of it as polite to leave your shoes on in someone's house, because who wants to see your guests' nasty-ass feet?

At the moment I'm keeping my shoes on at all times in this house. Last week my flatmates and I discovered that we have a hairy little friend who barges into the kitchen and eats whatever crumbs or other dusty crap it can find. The rat poison we bought doesn't even work so we had to have someone come over today and lay some proper stuff down. We've also seen it running around on the kitchen counters. It's terrifying.

@_@ I don't get the shoes thing either. Why would you want to wear shoes all over someone's house? Even if you don't have muddy shoes, you step on so many gross things over the course of one day. I wouldn't want that tracked all over my carpets or floor! I'd much rather have bare feet! At least I know they've just been in a shoe all day.

Though socks are the way to go regardless. :P

I agree so much. I can't stand being in shoes indoors unless I've designated those shoes as "indoor shoes" that are only worn inside.

How is it more polite to keep them on? O_O

I would be rather annoyed if someone came into my house and didn't take their shoes off or ask if they should; thought that was common courtesy? :/
