What animes/manga are you guys into right now

I actually really liked High School Of The Dead, it really disappointed me that they stopped that publication and put the whole series on hiatus in Japan. I had some high expectations for the manga and anime.

So thats 10 shows >.>, I am killing it!

Claymore, Dracu Riot!, Freezing, Kiss x Sis, To Love ru Darkness, Rosario + Vampire Season 2, Omamori Himari, Cavalier of the Abyss and Umi no Misaki.

Right now I'm following up on recommendations from friends, so I'm watching Futari Wa Pretty Cure and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I can't say that either have really struck a chord with me yet, but it's still early days. It might be because I've seen later Precure seasons and the Rebuild movies that I'm not taking to them as quickly as I otherwise might have. But they're not BAD shows, as such.

On the side, I'm also watching Onii-chan dakedo Ai sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!. I have absolutely no idea WHY I am watching this; it's a smuttier version of To Love-Ru...which in itself is a remarkable achievement, considering it's about as borderline NSFW. It's quite funny at points though, if only for the reaction gifs that have been popping up on Tumblr in association with it...watching Akiko freak out is quite funny~

I was actually started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion cause of the gifs I would see on Tumblr from time to time, but for no real reason I stopped watching after the first 2 episodes. I was actually thinking about reading the Oniichan dakedo manga since there were no updates of the usual manga I like to read for awhile, but I didn't cause there were only 2 chapters on the manga storm app.

Oh man. There are so many instances where I would check something out because they were spamming my dash. I checked out Tonari, Sukitte na yo, and Magi because of the gifs. Actually, a lot of the animes I've watched was because of tumblr. I remember I checked out BTOOOM! right after I saw the first gif of it.

Currently in the middle of reading Bakuman, Reborn!, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya . As for anime, I been watching alot of the Pokemon anime and Lucky Star, TMOHS , and Negima!

I'm really into Bakuman so far. it's a great plot and good characters. My favorite has to be Akito (Shuujin) cause I like how observant and how much he pays attention to detail.

Reborn is pretty good too and I love Haruhi, it's one of my favorite anime and the manga is just as good.

Longer runs, more of a need to stretch material over episodes, so it's better to watch a few in a row.

I'm thinking of picking up the Sword Art Online novels because I know the anime is only going to cover up to the second arc and I've really gotten addicted to it.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - I've read the manga previously, and didn't really like part 1, but I think that they did a really good job with this one, as I find it more interesting than the manga
Magi - I've also read the manga previously, so I know what to expect. I'm glad they are rushing the beginning as it would be a waste rushing the Balbadd arc later on.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - Another case where I read the manga first haha. I'm loving it so far.
Sword Art Online - I don't like it, but I like watching it and laughing at it.
K - I don't know why I'm watching this, but since people say it got better, I continued watching, and the first 4 episodes were IMO terrible
Psycho Pass - Only two episodes into it, so I can't say much. Not that fond of it, but since it's Urobuchi Gen we're talking about, it will get better. I hope.
Chuunibyou demo koi ga ****ai - Improvement over Hyouka, but kinda retarded.

Finished:
GaoGaiGar Final - 3episodes left. Wonder why they added boobies, since this was supposed to be kid friendly. Episode 2 is my favorite so far. Manly shouting, manly tears.
Heavy Metal L-Gaim - 3episodes in. Third episode was really random, but I liked that type of humour.
Cyborg 009 (2001) - 12 episodes in. My first Shotaro Ishinomori TV series. I've only seen the 009 movie from 1966. and it was okay, unintentionally funny, but okay.

Manga:
Appleseed - Finished volume one. Nothing much happened, and I find it kinda funny how one longer chapter is full with action, and the next short one is full with philosophy and sociology.
Princess Knight - ~20 chapters in. My third Tezuka manga, and I'm slowly getting into his designs which kinda look like Popeye meets Mickey Mouse.
Sakigake!! Otokojuku - 54 chapters in. I've previously seen the show, so this is all familiar since it was direct adaptation. Thankfully I'm in the last arc the anime covered.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency - 13 chapters in. A bit different than the first part, and I'm still in the introduction part.

I'm watching One Piece and...just that. Was watching Monster till a while ago when I realized it was taking up a little too much time outta my busy life. Also, Serial Experiments Lain. That show was freaky. I watched like six episodes before I went "I'll have to watch this later when I'm free. This is too much for me for now."

Keeping up with One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail and Beelzebub. Finished Katekyo Hitman Reborn! a while ago. Monster too. Monster was awesome.
