This roleplay had piqued my interest awhile ago but I hadn't had time to work on a SU until now. Hopefully this is sufficient. : )

Name: Ben Foster
Age: 17
Hometown: Viridian City
Bio: Born and raised in Viridian City, the majority of Ben’s life had been quite uneventful. Spending his days attending school and playing with friends, the norm for most children. At the age of 10, he had witnessed his first pokemon battle, spectating a local gym battle between a challenge and the gym leader of the Viridian gym. In the next few years, he was constantly asking his parents if he himself could’ve went on the path of a pokemon trainer, always being turned down but it never broke his determination. On the eve of his 14th birthday, they finally gave way, allowing him to set off on his journey in a week’s time. The following day, his uncle, an aspiring pokemon breeder arrived at his house. He knew about his upcoming journey, so for Ben’s birthday gift, he gave him an egg that was due to hatch sometime that week.

It did, and within the egg had been an Elekid, specially bred to have the move Ice Punch. The remaining days until the start of his journey, he spent bonding and training, or attempting to, with his new pokemon. The beginning of his Kanto journey had been surprisingly well, easy. Most likely due to his the type advantages he held early on. Gradually the difficulty rose, contributing to his troubles was a lack of numbers, his Elekid, then turned Electabuzz, was his only pokemon. Since then, Ben has substantially increased the numbers on his team, but his collection of Kanto gym badges has yet to be completed.

Surprisingly, Ben has never cleared a single region’s gym challenge, usually moving on the to next region once he obtained his sixth or seventh badge. It’s unknown whether or not it is due to Ben reaching a plateau within that region’s gym challenge as he has never even attempted challenging the gym leaders whose badges he has yet to obtain. His reason he states, is that he simply gets bored of a region after a short amount of time. In fact overtime, he has become more concerned with traveling and becoming a more cultured trainer than harboring a grand collection of gym badges.

Appearance: Ben falls just short of 6’0. His hair is a dark, faded black. Almost as if sprinkled with hints of a dark gray. When free, his hair falls to shoulder length, resting rather naturally upon his shoulders. Usually, that’s not the case for he has it pulled back and a portion of it tied into a ponytail. His eye color is a deep dark brown, and when not in light, his pupils often fade into the iris of his eyes. On the sides of Ben’s face is a pair of rather messy sideburns that end about where his ears begin.

He has somewhat of a bulky build, usually filling in his clothes rather nicely. Ben‘s usual attire consists of a black long sleeved shirt, fitted cuffed jeans and oak brown boots. Above his backside, his belt is visible, revealing each of pokeballs. He carries a uniquely small, tan duffle bag on his shoulder, which contains his everyday essentials and whatnot.

Personality: Often a calm and composed individual. Rarely does Ben loses his cool, in his earlier years having learned several techniques to suppress or properly express anger, anxiety and other unwelcomed emotions. Such an individual does not come without flaws as he can be a bit too calm, even relaxed at the most inappropriate times. When a matter is of urgency or importance, he regards it as if he would regard anything else. In spite of all these qualities, Ben is still a stubborn, determined fellow. And when he sets his mind on a task he does finish it, but he often goes about it in his own leisurely way.

Surprisingly, Ben isn’t as serious as most would assume. He has a humorous side, although it may be a bit tougher to pinpoint than say his blander side.

Ability: Motor Drive
Gender: Male
Moveset: Ice Punch, Brick Break, Thunder Wave, Wild Charge
Bio: Ben’s first pokemon, gifted to him by his breeder Uncle. Roman’s personality grew like Ben’s, mirroring him as he grew over the years. Like Ben, Roman is a well composed and calm pokemon, but he tends to take a more serious approach to things. When Roman was an Electabuzz, he lent it to his friend who was competing in a local tournament. As a thank you, his friend had Roman hold an Electrizer when it was time to return him. Ben was completely unaware and when he had traded back for his partner, it was a complete shock to see the new and improved Roman.

Name: Bruce
Ability: Intimidate
Gender: Male
Moveset: Earthquake, Zen Headbutt, Giga Impact, Strength
Bio: It took awhile before Ben had gotten his second pokemon, but what a pokemon it was. When he had reached Fuchsia City during his Kanto travels, he had already heard great praise regarding the Safari Zone. Ben decided to see what the buzz was all about, the first thing he noticed was the great herd of Tauros running wild across the plains. Immediately he knew he had to have one, and it worked out well for him. Bruce soon became one of Ben’s most dependable pokemon. At times even more so than Roman.

Name: Sal
Ability: Torrent
Gender: Male
Moveset: Water Pulse, Protect, Ice Beam, Aqua Jet
Bio: Sal had been caught early on as a Squirtle near the end of Ben’s Kanto travels. When he began his Hoenn journey, he used Sal as his main pokemon. The turtle proved quite resourceful, helping Ben clear the first couple of Hoenn gyms with minimal assistance from his other pokes. Although not fully evolved, he has made carved a permanent home within Ben’s party of active pokemon.


Name: Arma
Ability: Clear Body
Gender: Genderless
Moveset: Bullet Punch, Magnet Rise, Psychic, Light Screen
Bio: Before Ben’s departure from Hoenn, he had decided to fully explore one of the cave’s he had earlier found himself ill prepared to navigate. But the entrance at surface level had caved in sometime after his first expedition. But he was set on exploring it and he was aware of an entrance on higher ground, for he had stumbled upon it before, nearly falling off the edge. Whilst climbing, he had reached leveled ground and decided to break. When he decided to continue he accidently grabbed a nearby Beldum, a pokemon foreign to his knowledge, prompting it to attack him. The rare pokemon had shown potential before being subdued by a pokeball, earning itself a spot on his team.

Name: Sienna
Ability: Flash Fire
Gender: Female
Moveset: Flame Burst, Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Fire Spin
Bio: The newest addition to the squad. The fiery fox was caught recently in Johto and not much is known about her. Except that Sienna carries herself with class and has deep trust towards her new trainer, Ben.

I'm here, sorry for the delay but I'm posting the beginning of the RP right now! We now have a full crew so signups are now CLOSED. If I want to add more spots or if a spot opens then I'll post it. Ah that's okay I don't think you really need to. The RP will be more focused on the people we meet for now in the beginning, and the musical piece itself won't have any real purpose in the long run to need a link to it within the story. As we continue to meet people, I'll post mini signups for important non playable characters for reference.

I wish I was a mod so I could just approve it myself ha.. but we'll get rollin once the post is up. You guys can meet up with each other's characters right now if you like, or you can wait until later when we all reach our common destination. You can do whatever you like for now just make sure you get to where we need to go in time!

EDIT: I also edited my character a bit. Added a little more to appearance and personality, and changed a pokemon in his team.

Hey guys in case you're unsure of how to start.. right now I'm just giving the characters time to hear the news of the ceremony so they know where to go. Your character can receive the news any way you'd like (radio, personal conversation, flyers, etc.) it doesn't matter. You can start off already in Ecruteak or you can be making your way there, either way is fine. Just make sure your character hears the news regarding the ceremony in some way. Also, you can meet up with each others characters beforehand if you like.

Name: Dalex Haven
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hometown: Mistralton City,Unova
Bio:
Dalex wandered out of Mistralton City on a winter day when he was 7-years old. A blizzard came out of no where and he lost his way. When he had given up hope to ever finding his way home again, three Braviary flew up to him and spread their wings out and created a shield around him. He survived the night because of those Braviary. The next morning after the blizzard passed, he heard people calling his name. Dalex got up and the Braviary shook the snow off their feathers. One of the Braviary took off while the other two waited near Dalex. A few minutes later the Braviary lead three officers and his parents to him and he landed behind Dalex. After the reunion, Dalex hugged all three of the Braviary. Dalex thanks them and asked if there was a way to remember them for what they did. After that one nodded and the other two took off and returned with an egg. Dalex took the egg and thanked them once again. When he touched the edd, it glowed like the sun and became warm. When Dalex got back to his home, the egg hatched into a shiny rufflet. No one knew why this specific egg hatched into a shiny. Most people think it was the touch of Dalex's hand when he first received it. Skyla was the one to say that first. Skyla and Dalex were both good friends when they were young. Dalex often wondered if the Braviary who had saved him were hers and that the egg was a gift. Dalex was well known for helping others in the Unova, Hoenn, Kanto, and Sinnoh Regions. He was a very strong trainer, but he never really cared for being the best. He defeated every gym he came to, but he never really liked the idea of becoming a champion of any regions. Dalex is spending time in New Bark Town in Johto. He had traveled to many places in Johto a few years back to challenge the gyms. He always heard legends of Johto,but he never really liked history until he came to Hoenn. From that day, the only real reason he went to other regions was to learn as much of the history as possible and to meet the legendary trainers by the name of Red and Gold.

Dalex is one of the nicest guy you can ever meet. He cares a lot for his friends and family and does not want to see them get hurt. Dalex is also really shy when he first meets people and rather not talk until spoken to or unless it is something he enjoys talking about. However, he can be really talkative and also can be very sarcastic at times after you get to know him. He loves lore of places and will learn whatever he can about a region before he leaves. He prefers to be in a small town or out in the wild over a big city. He is brave and loves facing challenges. Usually he will put others before himself.


Pokemon 1: Shiny Braviary
Name: Braveheart
Gender: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Moves: Brave Bird,Fly,Airiel Ace,and Sky Drop.
Bio:
Dalex got Braveheart from an egg when he was lost outside Mistralton City. No one knew why Braveheart was a different color. Most think that is was because of the warm touch that Dalex had on the egg when a flock of Braviary first gave Dalex the egg. They are best friends and have been everywhere together. Braveheart can see things from a great distance.


Pokemon 2: Krookodile
Name: Snap
Gender: Male
Ability: Moxie
Moves: Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Foul Play, and Bulldoze
Bio:
When Dalex was on Route 4 in Unova, Snap attacked him when it was a Sandile, for no real reason. After showing Sandile that Dalex was not afraid, Snap ran off into a pit of quick sand. Dalex saved him and let him leave, but Sandile followed him through the desert and finally joined Dalex's team. He is one of the powerhouses of Dalex's team and has saved Dalex in many battles in the past.


Pokemon 3: Glaceon
Name: Keit
Gender: Female
Ability: Ice Body
Moves: Hail, Ice Beam, Blizzard, and Aqua Tail
Bio:
Keit was given to Dalex, as an Eevee, by a girl known as Keitaro in the Sinnoh Region as a remembrance gift. Keitaro and Dalex had traveled much of Sinnoh together and became really close friends. When they were training in the snowy north of Sinnoh, Eevee evolved into a Glaceon. In battles, Keit has surprised many fire-types with her Aqua Tail that an old couple taught to her back in Unova.


Pokemon 4: Larviatar

Moves: Bite and Rockslide

Shadow joined Dalex after he saved his life on the peak of Mount Silver between the Johto and Kanto Region a week ago. Dalex was looking for the Legendary Trainers Red or Gold who had a battled on the peak a little more than 12 years ago. At first Shadow hated Dalex, but they became friends after a gust of wind blew Shadow off the peak of Mount Silver and Dalex quickly ran and grabbed Shadow before he could fall. It took more than ten minutes to try to get Shadow to safety, because the wind was so powerful and there was not much to hang on to.

@Sarah Morgan- I'm sorry but I have closed signups. I only added one extra spot because the request was put in right before I closed everything. I may decide to include more characters in the future so I might reopen the signups, but for now the time being they are closed.

@Iceman- your signup was good, but it is pending. I'll only allow one pseudo legendary related pokemon per team, so you will have to pick between Larvitar and Gabite. You can keep shiny Braviary though. I'll discuss the changes and help you out in a PM.

Just a quick question, will we be allowed to catch Pokémon during this roleplay or are we limited to the team we start with? Also wondering if I'll be able to evolve Shelgon (I'd also love to evolve Magneton, but it only evolves at Mt. Coronet/Chargestone Cave, and neither of which are in Johto)? I think my team would be pretty sweet with a Salamance!
