Fake pokemon cards

Can someone help? I just got a pokemon card from a friend but I cant tell if it's real or fake. It's a Japanese Koga's Pidgey. It is smaller than an original Japanese pokemon but I'm still not sure.

Well, how much smaller is it than the other Japanese card? A picture of the difference in size as well as of the card itself would help in identifying whether it's a fake or not.
