It's probably cheaper to buy a new hard drive than a new laptop though.
Yeah. I might find an external hard drive and install windows on that, then make the laptop boot from that.

But dude, check out iresq.com. I replaced my MacBook Air screen through them and they did a superb job. 8)
Speaking of repairs, I might use that site to fix my iPod touch that I found. I tried tracking the original owner down to no avail, but when I found it, the screen was destroyed. You can't see anything, but it detected touch, and the internal speaker still worked. Looks like they have cheaper prices than Apple for the repair too, so I might opt for that instead.
Any way to save money is a good way. Unless it is theft.
Yes Nica. Apple quoted me $999,995 to replace the screen on my MacBook.
It's Apple, man. People pay premium for that.
And it's stuff like that that only solidifies my position to never buy Apple products if I can help it. I don't mind if others do, but homg I'm not made of money, I'll just go for something cheaper. ><
(I say as I have several Dell computers sitting dead or mostly dead in my apartment. STOP BREAKING ON ME! ;-;)
I'm too cheap to buy stuff. The last "big" purchase I've made was around $150ish on my snake, her heat lamps and bulbs, hiding places, water dish, etc. and that was in like October or November, I think. The rest of the time, I rarely spend money.
