Return of Secret bases?

In Hoenn we had secret Bases made in bushes, while in Sinnoh we made them underground. Do you think we'll see them reappear? If so what form would you like to see them in? Or should they do something new with secret bases?
What items would like you like to see for the bases if they do return?

I can't see this happening, there are certain features that are exclusive to a region I think. In Johto we had Headbutting tree's which we haven't seen in any other region, Hoenn had the Trick House and Secret Bases which also hasn't made a comeback since and then Sinnoh with the Honey Trees too. Basically, it would be a nice return but I just don't see it happening.

Soon after the trailer came out, I read something talking about how cool it would be to combine secret bases with StreetPass. Putting aside the fair amount of StreetPass systems that aren't working, it'd be a pretty cool feature.

That would be cool. Than one can download them when they boot up the game, or decide to keep the one's they already have (if they have any) and get to have the option of battling the others pokemon like back in RSE's bases.

They should make the secret bases a rest stop, where you could heal your pokemons and use a PC. Or at least you should be able to Fly directly to it... I'm not sure how the mechanics are going to work in this generation, but that's what I expected when I saw the secret bases for the first time.

Secret Bases were actually quite nice, however we did actually see the return of something similar to secret bases in Diamond/Pearl, which was the Sinnoh Underground.

I wonder what kind of storage thing awaits us in Pokémon X and Y? I'd like to see something like a house where you'd put furniture into or something like that, similar to how it was like in Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, except that you can put it anywhere, and not be limited to a certain area.

Just to point out, in RSE we could also make a secret base in certain caves and outer walls too. It wasn't just exclusive to trees and bushes.

I wouldn't call Secret Bases exclusive to just Hoenn though, if that's what you're saying, since they did make a return in DPPt with Sinnoh Underground. I think there's a lot of great new potential to be explored with Secret Bases now that we have things like Wi-Fi, SpotPass, and being able to connect to the internet like how Black and White expanded upon, especially being put on the 3DS.

And let's just say we do get a RS remake, then it'd be great for compatibility reasons too so we can explore the secret bases between games. Although, seeing as it's two different regions, this idea could be considered mute. Unless... Teleportation Mats!

Totally serious about the teleportation mats by the way. I always wished we could have had more than one secret base, and if we had mats that could teleport us between secret bases, like some gym leaders use, that would be cool.

I'd like to see the Secret Bases return like in Hoenn. I probably wouldn't use them much but it would be nice to see them Hidden Hollow-esque, which would be an awesome place to hide out in. I hope we get a lot of interesting items to put in it, other than just pokedolls and stuff. Just... useful stuff. Maybe if we could even keep some Pokemon there to come back to? In 3D that'd be awesome!

Dream World homes are a psuedo-Secret Base for Unova, but I'd prefer in-game ones. I'd love to download peoples bases, and challenge them to battles with their actual team among other things.

I could easily see lots of DLC for things like furniture or base designs on the 3DS.

It would be amazing if you could show off your secret base via street pass!! It's completely feasible, too. And your trainer would be in there so visitors could battle you, and you'd get special items for multiple connections with the same person..

Man there's so much cool stuff that could happen on the 3DS... I really hope Nintendo isn't planning to just make this game completely basic and then add features in the next version...

I think now would be a great time to reintroduce secret bases, especially gen III style bases (didn't like the ones in DPPt) especially since we have the 3DS features like Street Pass. It'd be like mixing records back in the day. :)

Now would be the time for their return. Street Pass could trade Secret Base Data. And maybe the other trainer would be in their and offer a battle.

Maybe we could make our own Trick House Maze and trade it with others.

Yeah i would like a return of secret bases as long as they are usefull. I mean like, no offense, but only being able to put in furniture doesnt really make it all that special. I would, however, like to see something poke center alike, but also where you can let your pokemon play outside of their pokeballs.

If it does come back, I hope it's like Sinnoh's, although it's my least favorite, the underground always kept me entertained, so something like that but with more features xD

while I love secret bases, if gamefreak are actually thinking about doing rse remakes then they may purposefully leave the feature out so that its more of a big deal again when those games come out. But yeah, love them secret bases. spent countless hours working with them in both ruby and pearl

Well, ever since Gen III, we've had a feature that has allowed players to interact with other players.

Gen III gave us Secret Bases where we could fight carbon copies of people we've traded with.

Gen IV gave us the Underground where we could interact socially and gather items.

Gen V gave us Join Avenue to, more or less, meet other players and gain items and such from them.

What will Gen VI bring?

I would personally like an entire city filled with vacant apartments/housing where you can purchase a room and customize it as you please, and then, via Wi-Fi, have other players visit you and battle them, trade items and such.

I would love to see a return of the Secret Bases, as they were one of the cool little things that made R/S/E so great. Either that, or a more customizable version of the Villa that you could receive in Platinum (as in, you can place things anywhere, rather than only being able to buy pre-set items that you couldn't move).

n_n Though truth be told, I never really used Secret Bases that extensively, but they would be nice to include in the games, nonetheless! Though I'd like some more options as far as where you could build a secret base and what you put in it, and things of that nature~

As cool as they could be, I kind of hope they're not in this game, as it would take away from features that would be exclusive to an RSE game, which I hope will eventually happen.

I think the secret bases were a really good idea, especially the battle feature, and although they tried to improve it in Sinnoh, I think the secret bases were still superior, as you could still develop them without having real life friends. :3 So I do hope that they return eventually!
