I'm up for it, if that's what you plan to do. It introduces the characters and allows them to establish a relationship with one another, whether it's positive, negative or neutral, and possibly detail an ongoing relationship of such.

I'd like to ask about weapons again. would modern crossbows or bow and arrows and the like count as decidedly modern? This considering that they are still being used and advanced, as opposed to swords and such.

Well it depend, if any technology (such as a propellant or a laser sight) is applied to the bow then it is considered modern but if it is just a simple crossbow/bow than I see no reason for it to be included since it is really the same tool that was used thousands of years ago, but refined.

*The character portrayed in this image is Alice from Pandora Hearts. She was the base for my description of Alicia, however the two characters do not share any similarities beyond names and appearance.

Appearance: Alicia carries the appearance of a youthful girl in her prime. She stands at about 5'4" and has a slender, girlish figure with curvy hips and an ample bust. Alicia's hair is jet-black and flows down to the small of her back in ringlets. Her eyes are a deep, blood-red color and her skin is very fair. Despite her complexion and hair color, Alicia is not Asian, but actually European and Spaniard. Alicia's lips are very thin and, as she hardly ever puts lipstick on, it's difficult to tell whether she's pressing her lips or not. Her fingernails are kept trimmed and painted with a shimmering, blood-red coat.

As far as attire, Alicia wears a very tight-fitting, crimson top with black buttons and long sleeves. The cuffs are black, as are the stitchings and collar. The back half of the top is of a different fabric than the front, made of leather, and consisting of a red-and-black diamond pattern. The coat top also ends with exaggerated coat tails of crimson. Alicia's skirt matches her top, being crimson in color and ornately decorated with black lace and ribbon. Her underskirt is also black lace and puffs out slightly beyond the end of the skirt. Alicia's stockings are striped and alternate between red and black. Her shoes are crimson stilettos with sharpened points.

Personality: Alicia, or Allie as she prefers, is a very sadistic and calculating Reaper. She is quick to judge an individual based on the smallest twitch, shift in vocal pattern and eye movement and is almost never wrong in her conclusions. Allie gets a kick out of playing head games with others as well. Nothing pleases her more than to leave someone utterly frustrated over a few carefully chosen words. Well, one thing does, but reaping is expected to be enjoyed.

Alicia is also a very level-headed and intellectual young woman. She never loses her temper. Ever. To some, this is unhealthy, but Allie assures them that if she ever expressed her anger, that it would likely cause the end of the world. Allie, while also keeping her emotions in check, is incredibly capable under high pressure. The idea of dead-lines, impending disaster or being late don't bother her in the slightest and all seems to work out for her in the end. Her intellect is not without praise, either. Allie's favorite past time, besides torture, is literature. She loves to lounge about and read of different theologies, the heroes of old, and even dabbles in teen fiction of the modern day.

Unlike other Reapers, Alicia doesn't much enjoy the company of humans, or visiting Earth. She finds humans to be petty creatures only focused on the short-term and lacking any sort of insight for the future. Some Reapers find this hypocritical since Alicia was a human herself, once, but the young woman is quick to say that she behaves the same way she does as a Reaper as she did in life, although she knows very little about her human life to begin with.

Weapon(s): Alicia is very fond of slicing and dicing things, so she carries around several sharp, dangerous weapons. Slung across her back, the Reaper carries a Death Scythe constructed from the metal of a fallen star and the wood of a Sakura tree. This is her preferred weapon. Alicia also carries three butterfly knives attached to the garter she wears on her right thigh. At her sides, attached to two belts that form an "X" at her waist, are two chakrams about the size of Frisbees. Each is wickedly sharp and weighted to return to the, if thrown properly.

Past Life: Alicia's past life is all but an enigma to her. Bits and pieces of her past come to her when she dreams, but Allie really doesn't know much beyond that she was born in Great Britain and that she was changed at the age of 22, despite looking 16.

Special Gifts/Talents: Alicia has a curious ability that is not common among reapers. If Alicia forces herself to expel her negative emotions, then those feelings materialize into an impenetrable shield that allows Allie to safely attack her opponents. This shield, known as the Agony Armos, gets weaker the longer Alicia keeps it up since it drains her Spiritual Energy. After a few minutes, the shield disappears completely and cannot be regenerated for six hours. In addition to her shield, Allie can also project her negativity onto others in order to influence them. And, finally, if Allie sacrifices a large portion of her Spiritual Energy, she can draw from that to solidify her negative emotions into a living creature that can serve as a separate being from Allie, or be controlled by her as an avatar. The creature's form is different depending on the emotion being drawn from and disappears approximately 15 minutes after being summoned.

Any Other Info: Alicia has a weakness for pomegranates and roses. It is out of her character to show true excitement, but she simply cannot contain herself when presented with roses or pomegranates.

Appearance: Luka is a well built man standing 5’ 8”. His constant exercise leaves him fairly muscular. His eyes are a dull brown and his skin is somewhat pale. He has very short dark brown hair and a fast-growing beard which he shaves only before a mission. He often wears heavy fur winter wear in both realms as it reminds him of home, the only difference being that in limbo he wears his coat’s hood up.

Personality:
Luka lives how he feels his parents would have wanted him to, which coincides with what he deems as right. He believes in the ideals of truth and justice, and protecting the weak and innocent, more or less like a stock superhero. However, he is also fiercely loyal with the utmost respect for his elders and superiors. If a mission disagrees with his moral code, he reassures himself he is doing the right thing for a greater good.
When in public, he can be seen with a light smile on his face at nearly all times. He seems cheerful and mostly untroubled, as well as being quite friendly. Often, his disposition seems far too perfect to be true. It is. Luka’s friends would have described him as kind, compassionate, brave, strong, trustworthy, and an abundance of other praises. He would describe himself with one word: inadequate. He always tries his hardest, but out of the fear that one day he could fail, and bad things could happen because of it. He appears to be near perfect, but in secret borders on the insane when it comes to perfecting himself to avoid that dreaded moment when fate proves that he just wasn’t good enough. Incapable of convincing himself of this, Luka seeks out others to support, protect, or simply befriend in hopes that through them, he can find reassurance of himself. He seeks out what’s in everyone’s best interest. At times, however, he will do so whether or not the person wants it. Luka hides this side of himself the best that he can.
Luka is also very nostalgic about his former life, as seen by his wardrobe and weapon choice. He will sometimes even visit Earth and pretend that he was still human for a short time.

Weapon(s): Luka wields a modern trigger-fired crossbow with an attached scope. The weapon is the closest thing to the hunting rifle he grew up with that he could use without being a detriment to his reaper abilities. However, despite it being powerful, it is still slow to reload, so he carries a hunting sword in case of trouble.

Past Life: Luka was born and raised in Novozybkov,Russia on the border of Belarus. He often enjoyed hunting and developed a keen eye and great accuracy. His father was a technician at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and Luka had become a police officer by 20 years old. His father was present at the Chernobyl disaster, and died immediately, being at the center of the incident. Luka assisted in the evacuation of the area’s residents, many of whom were already showing signs of radiation sickness. He soon learned that both he and his mother were among the sick, and badly so. He tried hiding his sickness to keep helping the relief effort, but was found out and taken to the hospital. The knowledge that many needed help, and that both he and his mother were dying, and the fact that he could do nothing about it began torturing his mind. Being religious, he would pray to God for some way to help the people around him. This consuming desire led to the development of his magical ability to control illness, something he believed to be a gift from God. He discovered it after he realized he himself was healing, and attempted to aid the other patients in the room. Realizing this was exactly what he asked for, he sought out his mother. With her on the brink of death, he attempted to use his powers only for them to have worn out from excessive use. His inability to save his mother pushed him over the edge and started his failure complex. He was convinced God had given the gift of healing to the wrong person, and he was not good enough to wield it.
Four years later, he moved to the United States and decided to study and become a doctor, to heal people even without his powers in case they ever failed again. He began noticing things were wrong, and felt like he was being followed. His pursuer turned out to be a monster that attacked him in an alleyway one night. The monster had demonic eyes and pale skin as well as fangs, and wouldn’t die when Luka shot him. He ran, throwing what he could at the creature in the midst of his escape. He was lucky when he encountered a hobo heating up next to a bonfire inside a barrel and knocked the barrel into the beast. The flames consumed it, and not long after, he found himself having been taken to limbo.

Special Gifts/Talents: Aside from Luka’s impeccable marksmanship, he has the ability to heal disease. This extends into the power to inflict a variety of illnesses onto others, but has vowed never to do so.

@Everyone - I'm loving these interesting abilities you guys are coming up with for your reapers. I might even have to add one to my own character later if many more of these gifts pop up (if you guys don't mind of course).

Name: Nox Fenoir

Gender: Male

Physical Age: 21

Actual Age: Over 200 years old

Appearance: Nox stands at about 5'10 with a lean yet solid build and light brown skin complexion. He has long dreadlocks that hang down his back, though sometimes he keeps them tied up in a ponytail. His eyes are a grayish white color that may suggest blindness, but he isn't blind at all. For clothing he wears a forest green tshirt with cutoff sleeves that resemble a tank top, along with black cutoff cargo pants. On his feet he wears a pair of black high top sandals made of durable yet lightweight canvas material that leave his toes exposed, but otherwise cover his feet and ankles.

Although mostly hidden by his clothing, his body is covered in many tribal tattoos. His left arm is completely sleeved in a black tribal pattern, and he has various symbols on his chest and right forearm. These markings are not like normal tattoos in that they are not made of ink and therefore cannot fade, but instead these designs have been permanently branded onto his body through his own black magic. Nox also wears a chain of bones and alligator teeth around his neck.

Personality: Nox is a Reaper who says little, though his deceptively calm demeanor hides much of his true nature. He has a particular liking for cruelty and revenge, and is no stranger to torture. These traits are especially noticeable through his practices in black magic. His personality as a Reaper was formed largely in part by the circumstances surrounding the 'death' of his mortal soul, though he still retains some faint connection with who he was in his past life. Nox operates in secrecy and stealth, never seeking to draw attention to himself and preferring to keep himself hidden. He is in fact a tortured being who wishes to find peace within himself, and he gets his own sense of fulfillment through carrying out his death dealings as a Reaper. Though his physical body is young, Nox has learned a lot and has acquired much knowledge within a timespan of over two centuries. He has learned to use his wits to adapt to a society that has continued to advance over time.

Although he is quite accepting of what has become of him since being reborn as a Reaper, Nox finds it difficult to live among mortals and being on Earth at times. A part of him wants for another chance at a mortal life as his own was cut short at such a young age. He hides these feelings even from himself and tries not to interact too closely with mortals, instead keeping his distance a lot of the time. In relation to other Reapers, Nox is somewhat reserved but no less violent if need be.

Weapon(s): Nox makes his own weapons, all of which are infused with black magic to make them nearly impossible to break by mortal means. His two main weapons are a pair of javelin-like bone spears, which he can collapse and expand at will for maneuverability. The bone spears are used to stab or impale enemies. They are very versatile and can be used either separately or as one when Nox fuses them together to form a four pointed bone cross as a melee weapon. When not using them, he keeps the spears collapsed to the size of throwing daggers and keeps them hidden in his hair. Aside from the spears he also has a bone scythe, which he carries on his lower back attached at his waist. The scythe itself is considerably shorter than most and made from a large femur bone with one end carrying the sharp blade and the other having the club ending commonly seen in bones that once had sockets. Because of its shorter size, he can wield the bone scythe as both a slicing and clubbing weapon to deliver faster and more precise attacks. Nox created his bone spears and bone scythe from the skeleton of the man who killed his mother.

Past Life: Nox has little knowledge of his past life long ago, most of his memories having been lost after he was reborn as a Reaper. He was born into slavery in southern Louisiana after his mother was kidnapped and brought there against her will. His mother was well known amongst the slaves as a Voodoo priest, and she brought her practices with her when she was kidnapped and later began teaching them to her son. Nox was shown to have developed some sort of gift for using the black magic to heal and assist the weak, and had made a name for himself as a well known Voodoo practitioner himself by the age of 21. As his abilities improved, he formulated a plan to use his dark magic to free himself and his mother from slavery. His mother never got her chance to escape, as she was caught practicing Voodoo by the slave master, who brutally killed her in front of Nox as punishment.

In an attempt to avenge her death, young Nox mortally wounded the slave owner and was nearly killed with a knife stabbed into his chest. Before he died he cursed the man who had killed he and his mother. In his last few moments of mortal life, he stated that he would have it no other way for not even death could keep him from getting revenge. Right before his mortal soul perished, he was brought to Limbo where he was reborn again as a Reaper.

Special Gifts/Talents: Voodoo had given Nox a wide range of abilities while mortal, but his black magic has become supernatural as a Reaper. He is able to inflict pain and cast curses, as well as summon and manipulate the physical forms of dead animal and human corpses through black magic to act as his own voodoo dolls. His tattoos are in fact powerful Voodoo curses, which he can use to conjure dark energy to torture or kill his enemies. Nox posesses a vast knowledge of poisons and seems to have an affinity for venomous creatures, especially reptiles. He is also able to transform his dreadlocks into snakes.

Any Other Info: Nox tries to keep his mind and body well rested so he meditates often, and doesn't like it when people interrupt his meditation or his sleep.

@Flydro - This character seems interesting but you need to fix the part where it says he died. Mortals don't become Reapers through dying, if anyone mortal or immortal dies they go to Heaven or Hell or become lost souls. Reapers are selected and brought to Limbo whilst still alive. Fix that and then you are in.

Edit: You also need to include him facing repercussions for the unwarranted killing of a mortal who wasn't a target because it goes against the rules of being a reaper.

Actual Age: 140
Appearance: Byrne has an athletic build, but this is almost unnoticeable because of two things; his height is rather unimpressive, being an unimposing five foot nine inches tall. If you couple that with his slumpy posture, his gymnast's figure is usually completely passed over. He has a bad case of babyface, with wide brown eyes and plump cheeks. If it weren't for a glaze of stubble over his chin, cheeks, and neck, his face could easily be mistaken for that of a small child's. His hair is short, and of an indistinct mousy brown colour. While on Earth, he wears something comfortable – usually a t-shirt made of a light fabric and a pair of jeans. If it's colder, he'll wear a hoody or a coat, but he doesn't really care on earth. Meanwhile, in limbo, he somewhat craves a life he couldn't have as a mortal on earth, often wearing fairly formal clothes reminiscent of the Victorian era.

Personality: Byrne is laid-back, and carefree. The flipside of that, though, is his laziness, which seems to ooze out of every orifice. He resents having to work, and will avoid putting in a lot of effort into anything much at all costs. Along with effort and work, he generally steers clear from being frustrated, upset, or angry, and will drop anything at almost the slightest bit of resistance. That's when he can help it, anyway. He's not particularly strong-willed, and can be quite easily pressured or bullied. Apart from anything else, he's an amiable guy with a mischievous streak that likes to keep his cards close to his chest and avoids bad things.

Weapon(s): Byrne carries a walking stick – he doesn't need it, but it's a good excuse to carry around a stick . If just hitting his target doesn't work, he'll light the end of it and use fire.

Past Life: Byrne was born to an Irish mother as part of a travelling circus troupe in England in the late nineteenth century. This, naturally, was pretty much his world, and he was absorbed into it immediately from birth, beginning to pull his weight aged five. Here he learned basic gymnastics, but it was his stints as a fortune teller he particularly enjoyed, using fire to read information about guests and their futures.
Despite his apparently cheeky and shirky attitude, this was a tough environment to grow up in, and Byrne was beaten throughout his entire mortal life, which hasn't left any permanent physical damage, but one imagines that his cowardliness and submissiveness stems back from being the resident punching bag.
Needless to say, this was the only life he'd ever known, and, for Byrne, this was the norm. Also needless to mention is his surprise when the reapers came to make him one of their own because of his innate potential as a scry or soothsayer.

Special Gifts/Talents: Having come from a circus background, Byrne has learned to do quite a few fancy flips and tricks, which are now even fancier with inate reaper abilities added on. More importantly, though, is his way with fire – he finds lighting fires with reaper magic incredibly easy and has had the ability to divine information from fire since he was even born. This information usually takes the form of seeing the future (a little), but can also be used to interpret peoples' intentions and desires. This, though, doesn't work on reapers. Since becoming a reaper, Byrne has also found that he can use his fires to locate important or lost souls.

Any Other Info: Fire aside, Byrne is not very adept at magic at all, and finds it exhausts him very quickly. Because of his laziness, weak will and magical ineptitude, he has something of a reputation for being a bit of a joke.

I was thinking of having Destiny be physically nineteen but actually less than thirty, making her the youngest Reaper of all, but then I got into all of the Atlantis nonsense and I just had to make her ancient. >.>
I think I can come up with more than a few things to play around with her ancient-ness, though, lol.

And I guess I should have figured that a lot of people would have lonely, sadistic, psychotic, or silent characters. I guess that's just the first thought process when people think of Reapers. I honestly would like to see more such Reapers that are care-free, full of humor and sensitive, because it goes against most stereotypes. It's just, with me, Destiny has always been like that no matter what role she has been assigned, whether it's to be a Pokemon Trainer or Satan himself. <.<

So, it looks like we're waiting on four more SUs to be completed and one more person to join. At least that means we'll probably start soon, lol.

@Nakazumi - I'd also like to see some more variation in characters although really when you think about it what we have isn't bad as far as range we only have two characters with really nasty personalities and the others go as far as having a character with an inferiority complex. What I'm saying probably sounds contradictory so I'll simplify it down to this: We have fairly good variation in personality traits and I'd like to keep up this variation in the characters.

In a slightly-related question, how opposed would you be for Seth to cause explosions with his arrows in critical conditions/boiling anger?

Noted in Alicia's profile that her Agony Armos (her shield) weakens over time before completely shattering in a few minutes. The shield cannot regenerate for six hours if shattered, or if her spiritual energy is drained.
