The funny thing is when I first saw an Eelektross in the game, I was only half paying attention at the time, and was like "WTF is that thing?!.... oh, wait, its an Eelektross".
The first time I saw it I instantly assumed it was its pre evolved form Eelektrik. It was only on looking again I realised it was Eelektross.

Oh, just remembered another one. That Mystery Gift Torchic is too adorable. :D I remember when I first got it and it was doing this:

Made me smile. Also, I like how his Scratch attack is like a full body move, and he has to run/hop back to his spot every time he uses it.

If there's one thing I don't really like, it's how gyarados is just floating. They could've made him sit, curled on his tail like Rayquaza, I guess.. but I still love his looks nonetheless.

I was also surprised about the size of nidoking and his queen. :o

I don't have too many Pokémon yet, but one thing weirds me out. Charmander is almost pink and seems fatter.
I have a pro too. Zigazoon is way cuter. XD

Deep Thoughts...
The people of the Pokémon world aren't too creative. They named Pokémon after what sound they make. If we were like them, a cow would be called a "moo".

I'm Reading...
Just finished a volume of Soul Eater, volume 14. At this point, it has become very different compared to the anime, and I kind of like it. Some of the characters have gotten a lot more fleshed out (specifically the meister team of Ox, Kilik, and Kim), and things are happening quite differently. An exciting read.

I'm Playing...
The iPod music game, Cytus. While I may not know very many of the songs, I really like its music, and the gameplay is easy to pick up yet takes quite a while to master. A friend has seen me play it and he says I make it look easy, but I am still having a fun and challenging time. Definitely worth the price.

I just don't get why they changed Haxorus's cry. It sounded better in Gen 5.

And I hope they fixed Dialga's cry. That's one noise that really needed improvement.

I don't like how pale the poke'mon have become. Specifically Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard.

They used to be these bold, distinct orange, red, and orange again. But now they are so pale; they look sickly.

Sure, they look more realistic, which I like, but their colors are not as bold.

I think Honchkrow, and old favourite of mine, has been ruined. Also, I think Fearow looks a bit derpy.

I disliked Hariyama at first, but thanks to its new model, my opinion on it has completely changed—now, I think it looks quite fierce. I would've had it on my team, but unfortunately though, its stats are quite low. It doesn't have a range of attacks in its movepool, either. Wish they'd given a mega-evolution to it. That way, it would've been able to become more useful. d:

Some attack animations don't really make a lot of sense (i.e. using a punch for Bite or Crunch) while some are absolutely stunning (Brave Bird, hey!). Overall, I feel the new animation is pretty awesome and part of what makes me love these games that much more. It's really elevated the dynamic of battles and for Pokémon too. There are a lot of Pokémon I never really cared for that I can't wait to use because of how much I love their new 3D models and animations.

I'm training an Azurill in a new game right now, and I'm loving how it uses it's tail as a mace or morning star.

I can't think of too many specific examples other than Mr. Mime and how horrendously ugly/creepy he is. I haven't seen Jynx yet but I'm sure I'll be scared there too...

On the whole though, X/Y succeeded at what Gen 5 tried (and failed so badly) at doing: fluidly animating Pokemon. They're so gorgeous now that I can't believe GameFreak ever thought it was ok to have these ugly pixelated sprites wiggling around stupidly all the time.

Can't wait to see some of the old legendaries after PokeBank comes out!

The animations for the 3D models were brilliant, I say. Except...my beloved Chandelure...

What have they done to its fire?!

I am personally in love with the 3D models! I can't wait to transfer some of my old pokemon to see them in 3D. I think it is one of the best things to happen to pokemon!

Yes. A lot of the gen 3/4 Pokemon who were conceptually created with the GBA/DS sprites in mind had major flaws in being presented in gen 5, and gen 6 majorly alleviated that for me.

A few of the ones I really like from previos generations, though they may not have any affect on my affection for the Pokemon:
Hitmonchan has never been a favorite, but they did really good with his model.
I also love Goldeen and Seaking's models.
Octillery's model is really neat...not sure why I like watching it.
Roselia is pretty and elegant, but I don't like Roserade.
Luxray turned out pretty awesome.
Maractus' little dance is cute.
Ludicolo's dance is pretty hilarious.
I don't think any of the Eeveelution's came out bad.
Most of the flying ones turned out awesome, except the ones I mention below.

There are also some I like less. I feel like Ninetails looks better sitting down. I also don't like how they did Swellow or Salamence's. Flygon looks a bit...stiff.

Overall, I think they did a pretty stellar job. They better not mess up Piplup.

I love the 3D models, the only gripe I have is that the colors are so pale because they're based off the traditional artwork. So a Shiny Pikachu looks more like a normal pikachu than pikachu does. If that makes sense? It's not as vibrant as before it all seems very grey-muted. Even the shadows themselves are in grey (which looks very un-natural to me.)

Today I discovered in the pokedex that Gothitelle had legs and subsequently felt like a perv for looking up its dress.

Not sure if it being a male model makes it better or worse....

I know it makes sense that it would have legs but it still came as a surprise. The pokedex is turning into the "omg so it DOES have legs" app.

Another thing: Why does Weepinbell float? The thing's floating a good 2 or 3 feet off the ground, and IDK why.

And why's Wailord so small? It's the size of a car, but should be the size of a semi.

Yeah the sizes are all over the place. Jigglypuff is bigger than Excadrill, Rotom is too tiny (I can understand regular rotom being small, but the appliance forms?) and Greninja is a friggin' giant whenever he gets up for his ninja pose.

Well, nothing much actually imo, aside from the fact every Pokemon looks more awesome with it's new graphics :3

Therefore, I also think some Shiny Pokemon look better now too since colouring and graphics are done much better in the Gen.6 games
