The Kingdom of Aecilia

Aecilia was the first major civilization of Vojun, initially formed from an assortment of small villages gathering together for mutual protection from bandits and beasts. Their cooperation brought prosperity, bringing together resources some villages lacked and others were abundant in. They hoped that banding together could keep them safe forever, but peace only ever lasts so long. Eventually, some bandit chiefs combined their groups into a single horde to sack the settlement. The settlement's militia stood valiantly between the bandits and their homes, but they were just villagers with pitchforks fighting practiced thieves and killers wielding swords and axes.

The battle seemed completely hopeless, tales differ as to how, but whatever happened, the villagers survived. After the settlement's narrow brush with disaster it's residents worked harder than ever to make their new home thrive. In less than a century the town grew exponentially until it was a bustling citadel, imposing in it's size but beautiful in it's design. When the city was finally completed they crowned their first king, Waylan Hadaway, and christened the city Aecilia.

Aecilia continued to prosper for nearly a millennium, surprisingly content, only adding civilizations who wanted to join to their territory. The kingdom's royal family seemed especially long-lived, some people even speculate Waylan's wife was not entirely human, and that mythical blood runs through the Hadaways' veins.

The continent of Vojun has seen relative peace for over a thousand years. The kingdom of Aecilia has maintained power over Vojun through its superior military and sheer size. With this power over the entire continent, Aecilia has preserved peace. This has been true for centuries, but of late, an increasingly dangerous enemy has surfaced in the form of the Belial Empire.

The Belial Empire, led by Empress Arya Maven, has quickly gained power by becoming an almost exclusively magic-oriented society, where those without magic only fill the lowest of ranks. Things remained relatively safe for quite a while, but now Belial has assimilated many smaller cities and tribes around them, and they show no signs of ending their expansion on their own. Belial has recently been encroaching on Aecilian territory, and just a few days ago the King and Queen were delivered report of one of Aecilia's outlying settlements razed to the ground

Never willing to throw around accusations without proof, and not wanting to instigate any violence, Eldridge Hadaway, the king of Aecilia has ordered a small cohort gathered to investigate the incident. Eldrige's second son Prince Leon has yet to be acknowledged for any significant deeds, but is if nothing else a competent fighter, so he has been deemed the leader of this cohort as a coming-of-age trial. Leon's only official assistance is an adviser to help him get started on the path to leadership.

Both to make sure the mission is an apt test of his abilities, and so the investigation is not misconstrued as a military declaration Aecilia can not spare many resources to Leon's cohort. The prince will only be provided a small number of warriors and the equipment necessary to arm them, anything more will have to be acquired along the way.

The Belial Empire

The Belial Empire's recent attempts of conquest began with the coronation of Empress Arya Maven. Before her coronation, she had taken the throne by force by using her unusual form of Dark magic to create a legion of undead soldiers to occupy the country's capital. Arya killed the previous Emperor during this raid and affirmed her power over the capital. Soon after she seized Belial’s capital, she created an entirely new political system, dubbed as the “Council of Seven.” This council featured elites of every type of magic wielders, including Druids, Sages, and even the Valkyries. Their objective was simple: They were to provide counsel for the Empress should she deem it necessary. In addition to the creation of the council, Empress Maven destroyed all relations to those without magical affiliation within Belial, forcing them to live in slums and to perform the most unsavory jobs. It only took a meager three years for this change to affect Belial in the most profound way possible.

After only three years of being Empress, Empress Arya began orchestrating assaults on the countries bordering the Belial Empire. It started with small villages, but soon shifted to larger cities. In time, the attacks became annexations, with the Belial Empire forcibly claiming land within other countries. This seizure of land forced less powerful countries to form alliances or to simply surrender to Belial. With the resulting increase in land paired with the new allegiances, Belial reached a never before seen amount of success within the Empire.

The Empire of Belial developed into one of the single most imposing countries in Vojun after hundreds of years of being relatively stagnant, all thanks to the economic and social focus on mages and their ilk. During this three year span of social and economical growth, the Empress birthed a child named Felix. Her son had no known father, and the Empress herself would give no explanation as to Felix’s parentage. The child’s birth became a point of focus for those who wanted the Empress removed from the throne. Regardless, not a single person came forward to challenge her rule. In time, what had been a patriarchal society converted to a more neutral hierarchy, though still favoring the matriarch’s tendencies.

Even though the patriarchal ideology was abolished, many of the social stigmas remained well into the new regime. And as the illegitimate child of the Empress, Felix was faced with the typical scorn associated with being an illegitimate child in a patriarchal society. Many on the council resented his claim, and argued against Felix’s place in the Empire. But undeterred by the disapproval towards her only son, the Empress proposed for him to undergo a series of trials to prepare him for an eventual position on the council of seven as the heir apparent to the Belial Empire. The Empress proposed that the council should devise the task for which Felix would face, to which they obliged. It was decided that Felix would have to seize a neighboring region near Aecilia, arguably Belial’s only potential threat to the conquest of Vojun. The council surmised that if Felix could manage such a task, then he would be more than adequate enough to lay claim to the Belial Empire. But more importantly, the council realized that he would either die or they would take the initiative in the impending war, the likes of which Vojun has never seen.

Other Factions:

Vishra: A small and mountainous nation often considered barbaric by bordering nations for their warrior culture and value of strength over intelligence, well known for their large number of wyvern riders.. Because they border the significantly larger and more powerful nation of Belial they are firmly under their sway as little as they would like to admit it. Their relationship with Belial is tense at the best of times as the two value wildly different opinions. This has yet to escalate into anything more than a few small skirmishes as while the Belian's have a significantly stronger army, preventing the Vishran's from invading, the people of Vishra have learned to thrive in the mountainous terrain that makes most invasion attempts fruitless.

Recently, however, skirmishes have become more frequent as the Belians encroach on Vishran soil and the Vishran have been suffering more and more frequent losses. The Vishran royal family have managed to keep the Belian's back with acts of good will, such as offering soldiers and some resources, most notably the youngest son of the Vishran royal family who is currently living as a ward with the Belian royal family. Some even believe that Belial is considering annexing Vishra but their general dislike of the Belian empire means that this is not likely to be a smooth transition.

Vangaster: A small country which shares history with Vishra, but ended with a different fate. Generally starting out as a meritocracy but becoming a monarchy with development, each monarch has to prove they are worthy of the position or be deposed. It’s generally mountainous and supplies wood, as well as material for forging from it’s mines. Usually regarded as “fierce men with axes,” Vangaster has three main concerns: forging, fishing, and military endeavors. Therefore, it’s general relationship with it’s neighbor, Aecilia, is generally that of good diplomatic relations- in exchange for protection, Vangaster either sends it's best men or general goods and commerce- usually the latter unless Aecilia is in a wartime situation. Which just so happens to be what Vangaster sends now.

Vangaster's fishing industry is ridiculously profitable- the fish near it's ports are regarded as delicacies due to their taste. Their forging skills are no laughing matter, either; generally Vangaster makes high-grade weapons in comparison to other forges from around the world. Vangaster has found itself generally unaffected by the current Belial-Aecilia crisis, but is afraid of the Empire conquering it after witnessing the slow annexation of it's sister nation and has sent it's present prince and multiple squads from it's army to ensure it's protection.

Evrend: A gentle, quiet land known for it's snow, mountains, and harsh winters. More than anything else, however, Evrend is renowned for it's Pegasi. What little military the country has at any given time is made up almost completely of pegasus knights. Evrend's economy relies on exporting pegasi hardier, smarter, and more faithful than anyone else could hope for to other countries. Evrend's lack of military might is balanced out by it's neutral importance, nobody else has it's secrets in pegasus raising, or living in such a cold climate. Evrend is in little danger of being conquered simply because all their value would be lost in the process, not to mention the difficult terrain.

Fyrsang: The home of the Laguz tribes is a dangerous and unforgiving place, with animals like wolves the size of horses dissuading most people from even considering trespassing. Fyrsang encompasses easily as much land as Aecilia or Belial, but, thanks to it's harsh fauna and the Laguz's tribal nature, holds significantly less people. Each tribe in Fyrsang has it's own leader, and when the Laguz need to make a decision as a nation each leader is called in for a neutral council. It takes a truly colossal event just to warrant a gathering of tribal leaders, let alone for any decision to be made. Laguz value their independence, and any tribe can opt out of the council if they can't agree.

Fyrsang is made up of multiple different climates inhabited by their respective tribes, the Bird Tribes usually prefer to stay up in Fyrsang's mountains while the Beast Tribes are spread about the plans, valleys and forests. The Laguz only take a passing interest in the affairs of humans most of the time, as they feel confident that very few humans could survive in Fyrsang, certainly not enough to settle it. But when an entire continent is on the move nobody is unaffected, and a wise man once said "apathy is death." The proud people of Fyrsang may need to make a decision, and pick a side soon, lest the old adage prove true.

Zeln: A land filled with thieves, merchants, and sellswords, a true utopia for those enamored with money. Originally a small settlement in a lush paradise filled with exotic plants, merchants from surrounding nations convened to trade goods. These trades continued to grow larger and larger, requiring the merchants to develop the land into a city, which then became multiple cities, and then finally the nation known today. Zeln can not be considered a nation in the conventional sense. It is not run by any true form of government. No monarchy, no republic, no confederacy, no dictatorship. Instead, an entity known as the Sacred Band of Thieves maintains a semblance of order and military for the entirety of Zeln.

The Sacred Band of Thieves itself is a bit of an unusual system. A brotherhood not bound by honor, but of coin and the understanding that their heaven of gold is best protected by their own hands than those of other nations. Some of the best killers and swordsmen have been known for, at least at some point in their lives, being a part of the Sacred Band of Thieves, truly indicating the success and power held by the organization. Rumors even suggest that they have developed unparalleled blades specifically for killing.

Races:

Human: The most numerous and widespread people on Vojun by far, most of them are relatively plain compared to the other races. Humans' greatest strengths usually lie in what they can accomplish together. Regular humans are often afraid of Laguz and those who look down on them tend to call the Laguz "sub-humans"

Laguz: People who have the ability to transform into various over-sized creatures, such as a sabertooth tiger or a giant Hawk. Most Laguz are territorial, leading to their division into tribes based on what kind of creature they turn into, and some are downright xenophobic. Laguz are not to be underestimated, despite how violent and confrontational many of them can be they are by no mean savages or monsters, and to act like they are would likely be a fatal mistake. Most Laguz can only stay in their animal form for a limited amount of time before being stuck in their human form for a while, only the most powerful Laguz, such as the tribes' monarchs can transform at will and maintain it indefinitely.

Spoiler:
Beasts: Tigers, Cats, Wolves, Rabbits
Birds: Hawks, Ravens, Herons

Branded: Laguz-human half breeds. The title arose because all Branded have a specific mark somewhere on their bodies, otherwise Branded are effectively human and can not transform like full-blooded Laguz. Some societies have social stigmas against Branded.

Manakete: Dragons who can take on a human form, once all Manaketes did not have their human forms, but over time it became clear that the Manaketes were becoming more violent and unstable as a species. For fear of becoming raving feral beasts that would tear apart all of Vojun in their fury, the Manaketes sealed their draconic power in small stones, and now need these stones to take on their true forms. Manaketes age much more slowly than the other races of Vojun, in fact, nobody has ever heard of a Manakete dying of old age. Although they do appear to grow older, Manakete tend to still be in their prime after millenia of life.

Nearly all surviving Manaketes live in a city hidden up in the mountains of Aecilia, keeping their existence a secret from most of the world, for fear that they should get drawn into war and become feral beasts. Only a few very privileged individuals know that the dragons didn't simply disappear, and even fewer know of the Manaketes' secret city: such as the Aecilian royal family.

Manaketes have low fertility rates, and this combined with their prolonged lives leads to few children being born as time goes on, leaving them too small in number to have their own nation. On the rare occasion that a Manakete should fall in love with a human, they have a much easier time having half-blood children, leading some to believe they should integrate more with Aecilia for their own survival, but this is not the most popular ideal among the manaketes. Half-Manaketes can still transform, but must transform occasionally to retain their powers.

You: You are one of the continent of Vojun's many inhabitants. Wherever you call your homeland, whatever you do, eventually you will be drawn into the greatest conflict these lands have ever seen, and you will have to take a side. Once this war begins, nothing in this land will ever again be the same again.

Just gonna drop this in here. If nephews don't get in the way, this should be done over the weekend~

Name: Adina Maralyn

Race: Divine Manakete

Age: 536

Gender: Female

Class: Manakete Princess

Appearance:
Human Form:
Spoiler:

Adina is fairly tall for a woman, being about 6'1" tall. Her skin is lightly tanned, though with its barely noticeable greyish tint, it appears paler than it really is. Her body is nicely curved, though her scraggly hair and abnormally large feet detract some from how many people think a perfect lady should appear, not to mention she is fairly well muscled. Her hands are quite petite and soft, besides the scales covering the backs of them and the black claws that take the place of fingernails. Her ears are pointed stick out a bit more than a human's. Her wavy hair is snowy white, with the tips a pale blue hue; long bangs brushed to the right side of her face go down just past her eyes while a single longer lock of hair hangs down on the left side of her face. In the back, her hair goes down to just barely brush her shoulders. Her eyes are an icy blue, with black slits for pupils; small white scales surround them.

Her apparel doesn't really serve much purpose, Adina simply choosing the clothing that was comfortable or that she liked the appearance of. She can usually be seen wearing a silky red v-neck shirt that just barely covers her shoulders and with wide sleeves that end about midway down her biceps, but which have a longer strip that dangles down further. The shirt stops just above her belly button, then continues on down on either side of the belly button at a diagonal angle to reach the pelvis on either side, forming a triangular opening over the stomach. Her baggy blue pants, held up by an orange sash, bunch up at the ankles where the pants constrict more on the legs - or in her case, on the heavy, knee-high black boots she wears. On her arms, she wears a peculiar type of gold band made up of two strips; one strip is at a horizontal angle when her arm is pointing downwards, while the second strip is above the first one and forms a diagonal circle about the arm.

To hide her Manakete features, Adina also wears a pair of black leather gloves over her hands and a dark blue cloak with numerous hidden pockets. The gloves make her hands appear a bit larger than they really are, since her claws prevent her from pulling them on all the way. She usually lets the cloak fall closed in the front if she is expecting to encounter anyone who is not a Manakete; otherwise, she pulls it back behind her shoulders like a cape. The hood of the cloak is usually pulled up over her head to cast a shadow over her face, making it difficult to see her draconic eyes and scales.

Dragon Form:
Spoiler:

When standing upright on her hind-legs - as she usually does - Adina is about 11 feet tall. She has a slender build that allows her more speed than strength - not to say that she isn't strong, being a dragon and all. Her legs are thicker and more muscular than her arms, since they have to support most of her weight. Her hands have opposable fingers, allowing her to use them to grasp objects. She uses her tail, which is nearly as long as her body, not only to help direct her flight, but also to help balance herself when she is standing. The scales around her mouth only really allow for her jaws to open and close and don't allow enough flexibility for facial expression, so most of her emotion is shown with her icy blue eyes... and growls and roars. There are black spikes protruding backwards from her jaws, as well as spikes on the tops of her wings. Her scales are completely white, while the leathery film of her wings is golden. Beginning from her head, light blue feathers go all the way down her neck and cover her chest. There are more feathers of the same color on the end of her tail and on the tops of her wings.

Inventory:
-Adina's Divine Dragonstone
-A small amount of gold

Allegiance: The Kingdom of Aecilia

Fighting Style:

Personality:

Adina has a very high opinion of herself and isn't particularly friendly with anyone. She believes that being a Manakete sets her above all other species, and thus she rarely interacts with anyone who is not a Manakete. This may not seem entirely strange since Manaketes generally do not reveal themselves to outsiders, but she takes it to the extent of even being cold towards the royal family of Aecilia. She acknowledges those in positions of power, but will not respect them unless the give her reason to.

If you want someone to comfort you and tell you it's all going to be alright when you make a mistake... don't look to Adina. Criticizing and pitiless, Adina believes there is no room for mistakes or sympathy, and so she will pick apart and criticize every tiny little fault in a person (or anything else). She doesn't take criticism as well as she gives it, though, and tends to get very irritable when the tables are turned on her. When someone does something to hurt her pride or tarnish her image, or really does anything that she dislikes, no matter how minimal the offence or if it was even on purpose, she will have her revenge. The means of her revenge may not be entirely obvious or physical, but they can still be quite damaging. Physical aggression is a possibility if she loses her cool and becomes truly enraged with someone, though common sense advises against pushing her to this limit since she is a dragon after all. It is rare that she will take her vengeance in a physical form, however; she has an image to uphold after all, and she finds it more satisfying to thoroughly ruin or a person's life through subtle means.

As much as she absolutely hates to talk things through, Adina does actually have the ability to. She understands that she has certain responsibilities as the princess of the Manaketes and that she will often have to work things out with people she dislikes. This isn't to say she's very willing to compromise on matters; rather, if she's having a diplomatic discussion about some important matter, she very carefully words things so that the other parties think they're getting the best deal, but in reality, Adina has worked it all out so it favors her and the Manaketes.

Quick to take in her surroundings and always on the alert, Adina is difficult to catch off guard. She takes in an area's smallest details when she enters it, from the stalls lining a street to the weeds peeking out of the cracks in a cobblestone street. This isn't so much out of cautiousness or any similar emotion, but simply to occupy her mind. Also, she finds that small details can help her understand situations and people better; though she claims to have no real interest in people, only an interest in knowledge. Because of her eye for detail, she is able learn things about people she wouldn't otherwise be able to know without speaking to them. She takes pride in this ability, causing her to be even more aloof as she believes this sets her even higher above other races.

Despite believing that Manaketes are the mightiest race in existance, Adina still finds herself curious about the world around her. She tells herself and others that anyone who is not a Manakete is below her notice, but her actions say otherwise as she often leaves the safety of the mountains to explore the surrounding kingdoms. Her thirst for knowledge is simply too great, and there's only so much one can learn living in seclusion for 500 years, so she opts to learn about other races - even if they are lesser beings.

Adina also has an almost childish fascination with "cool" things and trying to make herself seem cool, and this feeds her ever present curiosity as she is constantly on the lookout for some new cool thing. This can alter her judgement in some situations to something that may be totally illogical, simply because she thinks it's cool. Seeing this as a weakness, she tries very hard not to show how interested she is in these things, but anyone with a good eye can tell when something has piqued her interest.

History: For the first 200 years of her life, Adina was raised in the Manakete city within the mountains of Aecilia with very little contact with the outside world. The few times she did venture into human territory was only to travel with her mother, Queen Anadine, to visit the royal family of Aecilia and keep up relations with them. From the very beginning, it became apparent that Anadine's benevolent nature had not been passed on to her daughter, as Adina clearly regarded any humans with disdain. She didn't show any outright disrespect to Aecilia, as she understood that it was only thanks to their grace that the Manaketes had a place to call home, but the little respect she offered them was no where near as much as her mother showed.

It was near her 211th birthday that Adina began to grow restless. As much as she praised her own kind and loved living among other Manaketes while looking down upon the "lesser species" that were humans and Laguz, she was also tired of having all of her knowledge of the world fed to her through books and tales that weren't always completely accurate. She wanted to experience the world for herself, even if it meant leaving the Manaketes behind and interacting with those other... repulsive races. Thus, she began to travel about the continent of Vojun, sometimes leaving the Manakete city for years at a time when her travels took her to the farther reaches of the continent. She did come home quite often, however; and when she did, she would stay for a few years before she would feel the need to travel more. And with the world constantly changing over the centuries, there was always something new to learn on each venture away from the safety of the mountains.

Whenever news of a new ruler in Aecilia reached her, she would always hurry home to join her mother in visiting the new king and/or queen; more for appearance's sake then to actually meet the monarch. Proud as she may be, she wasn't going to let that pride destroy the relationship between Aecilia and the Manaketes. After the pleasantries were done, she would immediately leave again.

Her meeting Leon was a complete coincidence. Adina had returned from another one of her journeys a few days before the errant Prince had come to visit the Manakete city. He didn't seem too incredibly fond of her when they met, and she didn't much like his unprofessional personality much either. She didn't really bother with him much after their first meeting, though she did meet him on a few other occasions either when she would visit Aecilia or when they both happened to be in the Manakete city at the same time.

Adina only started taking more of an interest in Aecilia's affairs when tensions between Aecilia and Belial started to rise. She realized that if Aecilia fell, it could spell trouble for their allies, including the Manaketes. She is currently traveling back to the Manakete city to find out what Queen Anadine plans to do; though no matter what her mother's plans may be, she doesn't plan to just sit back and do nothing.

Support:
Leon Hadaway- D
Spoiler:
Adina doesn't hold much respect for Leon; she is quite glad his older brother is next in line for the throne instead of him.

Conrad Folles, The Jolly Half-Breed Brigand

Race: Branded
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Class: Journeyman

Appearance: Conrad’s most apparent feature is the large Tiger Brand across his right cheek, signifying his heritage. He looks to be barely around 14 or 15 years old despite his true age because of his slower aging as a result of his Laguz blood. However, he still manages to be quite muscular, to the point of appearing quite abnormal on his small body of 5’4”. His boyish, blue-eyed face is covered in scars from many battles and raids, and his messy blonde hair is long enough to reach the small of his back. While Conrad once had pale skin, it has cooked under the sun during his days of wandering to a light tan color.

When in battle, Conrad tends to wear a wyvern skull given to him by Dregas as a helmet as well as a set of worn leather armor. In larger cities, though, he wears a brown cloak with its hood down and a brown cloth mask. Underneath the cloak is usually a simple black shirt and baggy tan pants with a worn set of travelling boots, with his axe on his back behind his cloak. His war-torn leather armor tends to attract the attention of city guards.

Inventory:
Conrad’s Trusty Iron Axe: A heavy single-edged weapon covered in blood from various sources with only the edge having seen any cleaning whatsoever. The axe is constantly at Conrad’s side, hanging from his belt, although it is usually hidden by his cloak when in towns.

Wyvern Skull Helmet: A skull from the wyvern of a squad of riders that Dregas once defeated. It offers little protection and there are several places where it has been broken and put back together. Despite his reckless treatment of this object, Conrad cherishes it greatly. It is one of the few things he carries around with him, usually sitting in his bag.

Personality:
Conrad doesn't take life seriously. His mentor and father figure Dregas would tell him “Make light of life, both of others’ and of your own.” Thus, he laughs and tells jokes no matter the situation, and he frequently drinks and makes merry, wearing himself out with little regard to his own body. Drinking happens to be one of Conrad’s favorite pastimes, and sleep usually comes to him in the form of being passed out drunk at night. It’s amazing he even still has a liver.

From a young age, Conrad has always been less-than-upstanding and may actually be slightly psychotic. He has no qualms cutting down innocent people for their things, or sometimes even their screams. Usually their things, though, as screams are only good from those who got on his bad side. Conrad’s mother spent much time teaching him about ethics and values so that he would become a good person, but unfortunately Conrad didn’t really listen to his mother very much. His cruelty is not always so extreme, though. Sometimes it is something as petty as poking fun at people or insulting someone to kick them while they’re down.

Other people’s problems or opinions are usually of little interest to Conrad. He’d never help anyone unless he were both getting something out of it and it was something entertaining. This applies to just about everything in Conrad’s life; If it isn’t fun or interesting, he won’t do it. He intends to enjoy life to the fullest as he’s gotten used to never knowing if he’ll live to see the next day. With a life like that, what would be the point of wasting time on anything dull?

It would be silly to expect Conrad to show respect to anyone he just met, be he a king or even a god. And even then, it takes a lot of work to earn that respect. Thus far, Dregas and the clan are the only ones who've ever gotten any, and only Dregas has had his complete respect. If someone does manage to get Conrad’s complete respect though, he will be an incredibly loyal friend who would do anything for that person.

Conrad isn’t exactly a fan of being told what to do. He’ll usually go ahead and do whatever he thinks is best regardless of what actually is best. Suffice to say that Conrad is not the most educated criminal in Aecilia, but he doesn’t really care enough to learn about most of the things he’s ignorant of. He has a bad habit of forming opinions on things he doesn’t know the whole story on and sticking to them no matter what people say. He’d probably be dead several times over by now because of his stubbornness if it weren’t for his incredible physical prowess. However, he isn’t completely stupid and know when he has no chance, his final battle alongside Dregas reminding him that brute strength can’t get someone through everything.

His quest to prove himself to Dregas weighs uncharacteristically heavily on his mind, but he knows exactly how to accomplish it. Because of his strong admiration and respect for Dregas, he is willing to do anything to accomplish it, even something like following orders if that’s what it takes.

Allegiance: Aecilia

History: Conrad was the result of a union between a powerful Tiger Laguz warrior and his lover, a normal human woman. Unfortunately, besides such a union being an unholy abomination in the eyes of the Laguz warrior’s tribe, he was also a deserter to his army, having run away to live with his lover. With an execution squad after both him and his unborn child, the warrior fled with his wife in search of a safe place, far from the eyes of the Laguz. Unfortunately, he never made it, making one final stand against those pursuing him to allow his lover and his unborn son to escape, despite the loss of his powers as a result of loving a human.

The woman managed to reach the frontier of Belial, whose power and belligerence served as a deterrent for her Laguz pursuers. Belial might not take kindly to an armed squad of Laguz warriors entering their territory, and the warriors were not willing to risk their lives over one Branded child. The woman and her child were safe in Belial and she began to make a life there. Her lack of magical aptitude forced her into a lower caste and a poor woman’s life, but she thought that as long as she was with her son, they could be happy.

Conrad was born without any complications, and as he grew up he frequently found himself with a bad crowd. While his mother constantly tried to teach him good values and morals, he found himself having to fight against those who would bully him because of his Brand, and steal from those who would refuse to accept his family’s money for the same reason. And he soon realized that he thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Eventually he grew distant from his mother and spent his time with a gang he formed of those whose respect, or rather fear, he’d earned through his own power.

At 19 years old with the body of yet a younger teenager, Conrad was feared throughout the small town he called home. However, it was no longer good enough for him to simply have the town under his thumb. Regardless of how good he was in a brawl, he was still just a young hooligan there. He decided to leave the town without even bothering to tell his now-bitter mother in order to seek out a bigger prize.

His travels led him to a famed group of bandits who audaciously raided Belial’s border settlements and were led by the legendary immortal raider, Dregas. Indeed, witnessing the berserker flying across the battlefield, cleaving bodies one after another without pause with his fearsome axe, armored and not, was truly a sight to behold. Tales of his accomplishments stretched back almost centuries, some even claiming he was present among the bandit chiefs that attacked Aecilia in its infancy. Naturally, it seemed Belial was unable to quell the threat posed by this demon. Dregas saw past Conrad’s Brand and found vast potential within the boy, and thus accepted him into his clan.

One day, the raider clan received news of a convention of international merchants who would be carrying priceless rare goods. It appeared that it would be the clan’s best haul ever. Some suspected it to be a trap, Dregas included, but they went after it anyway. Belial had tried various traps before, all having failed against Dregas’ might. They found the convention and indeed there were merchants and incredibly valuable items, but there was also an ambush waiting for the clan.

The merchants proved to be false, in reality being powerful undercover mages. More skilled mages appeared to surround the clan, and a collection of mercenaries and bounty hunters interested in Dregas’ head were present as well. It was a hopeless situation, even for a group as renowned as Dregas and his companions. They fought bravely, leaving a sea of blood in the battle’s wake. The legendary immortal raider did not lose that battle, succeeding in killing all his enemies, but he did not win either. The clan was slaughtered, and Dregas’ body was damaged beyond repair. During the battle, Conrad felt true fear for the first time and hid. He had not been with the clan long enough to share the sense of honor and lust for glory the others held, and because of that he lived to see tomorrow.

After that incident, the clan was no more so Conrad left Belial and headed to Aecilia where he lived as a beggar for a few days before becoming a highwayman for the next three years. One day, Conrad received a message with his former clan’s emblem telling him to come to a certain bar. There he found Dregas himself, in a wheelchair missing his left arm and right leg with his body burned and scarred all over. Dregas revealed to Conrad that the name Dregas was merely a title, passed down by the former Dregas to one he thought worthy of the name. This Dregas, originally a man known as Sigmund Vestal, said that he saw in Conrad the potential to be the next Dregas, but that he was still too weak both mentally and physically. Conrad was told to return to the same bar in 5 years to show Dregas what sort of man he’d become as his final chance to prove his worth.

The skills he’d gained from his time with Dregas’ clan have grown rusty in the past few years, but regardless, he is determined to prove himself worthy of the title of Immortal Raider Dregas. To do so, he plans to take down Belial itself as revenge for what happened to Dregas and his clan. He knows he cannot do it alone, but he will do it no matter what it takes.

Fire Emblem! I'd like to make my reservation, if I can. I'll try to come up with something soon, hopefully, but feel free to cancel my reservation if I don't.

@Midorikawa: Due to the similarities in race and classes, Taguel have been changed to the rabbit tribe under Laguz.

But if it helps your imagination imagine them almost exactly the same as the Taguel, except not needing a stone and being limited in how much they can transform in a short period of time.

And on that note consider yourselves reserved! I'm glad to hear of your interest SV, I don't think we've had the pleasure of RPing together quite yet, but I've seen you around and I'm a fan of your work.

And Geras, Conrad is accepted!

Here's the plan! My char will be a former knight (most likely of Aecilia, they have knights right?) who becomes a mercenary. However, because of his knightly roots, he's more of the honorable sort of merc. I'm in the process of collaborating with a few people to try and build supports. Currently midorikawa and I are planning on being childhood friends/family after my char's family took her char in. I'm also trying to work something out with Fort Pokepower that they also know each other. By the time the RP starts, being that my char is in a mercenary band so they'd be neutral in the beginning, but obvs have Aecilia ties. If anyone else plans on being with Aecilia (especially if your char is tied with the knights or royal family or w/e) wants to collab at all, lemme know!

By the way Lord Sephear, if I said anything that doesn't fit in with the RP, let me know and I'll be happy to change and adjust!

No problem SV everything there sounds fine to me, and if I notice anything wonky down the line we can work on it together to make everything work. In fact, feel free to set up more details about the mercenary band apart from just your own character if you want, I can add them to the factions section later if you'd like

On that not I extend the same sort of offer as SV, Leon's SU will be up soon, and when it is anybody who'd like to have a support with him or work him into their history just let me know.

Decided not to bother with CSS today; if I want to make it look better I can do so later. Regardless, here's your SU guys!

Name: Prince Aster Verona
Race: Human
Age: 23
Class: Prince
Appearance: Aster has long brown hair that reaches to his shoulder blades, somehow missing the manly gene and not having the ability to grow much facial hair [there are a few wisps of hair that appear on his chin, but that’s a different story]. His eyebrows have a bit of an edge but they work out well, and his nose is, quite simply, unremarkable. He has deep green eyes and a face that has a trace of a scar near his left ear, covered by a few stray hairs. He usually has a smile on his face, even in battle where it's a bit wider and he tends to laugh some more than he should he could be nervous, he could be insane. His face is generally less defined and masculine than that expected of a Vangasterian prince, but not much of him is Vangasterian to begin with.

He has a bit of muscle in his arms and his legs, not too much to make him look buff but enough for him to lift an axe with speed and precision- of course, the precision came with time, but that comes in later. He stands at 6'2" at this point, and has arms, legs, and feet of proportional length. Usually he has on a long sleeved shirt of thick fabric on top of dark blue pants- this is, of course, out of battle. When he has to be presentable, it becomes a slightly lighter, buttoned shirt with a vest adorned with the Vangasterian crest, pants in better condition and a large, thick, and fluffy cloak which is secretly his favorite part. His parents wear crowns, but he doesn't- he has a small adorned headband which is occasionally used instead but usually he's the black sheep in terms of crowns.

In battle, he wears a durable chestplate with the Vangasterian crest in the middle, short iron sleeves branching of which are fairly flexible due to thin fabric binding them and the chestplate. After that, there is few he wears in comparison to others, due to his need for flexibility. A leather headband stays on his head, and he's not particularly worried about it breaking, since if it broke it would imply a killing blow- something he's determined not to allow happen. He has an iron bracelet one each arm as well, which are more decorative than anything. He has iron armor strapped onto his thighs as well, and iron boots. These were all brought from Vangaster, which the king had wanted to be heavy; however, Aster requested directly to the blacksmith making it that they be light. Since the king had never said anything directly to the blacksmith, of course, they were all light and thus don't impair Aster's speed any more than he would prefer.

Inventory:
Iron Axe x1
Spoiler:
A basic axe. Nothing quite special about it besides the leather handle; even the materials are ordinary. Carried on Aster’s back.

Vulnerary x3
Spoiler:
All in a small pouch, for quick access. Good for times where Aster’s in pain, but won’t help as much as he becomes stronger.

Mysterious Key x2
Spoiler:
Two keys. One seems to have been made a while ago, but seems to still be in good condition- it seems to be able to open many doors. The other seems to be ancient, however it seems as valuable as it is old. Which is to say, very old. Both are guarded with his life.
Fighting Style: In terms of fighting, Aster’s main concerns are how fast he is and how good he is at battle, as well as handling his weapons and precision in his hits. He focuses on his speed and footing, and tends to take people head-on if he knows he’s able. If not, he goes for an approach which favors either trying to get them off balance with some fancy footing, or running entirely. There is a flaw in his fighting, however; he occasionally goads his enemies when fighting someone weaker than him, and of course, you should never play with your enemy, unless you want to get killed of course. Additionally, he's never been in an actual fight besides a sparring match and in training, so at first he'll be pretty green.

Personality: Aster is jolly and kind, easily making friends with people, although he's simultaneously capable of a sharp tongue as well as a bit of wit. His diplomacy skills have taken a hit- although Aster is much more social than his father was, it has led him to be unafraid to speak his mind- which his tutors have told him to fix. He's not really bothered by what he says, although he does understand basic situations where he shouldn't talk he's had a childish, perhaps privileged look upon life where he speaks what he means, unless he's being sarcastic. Aster amusingly is sarcastic while still being jolly- he'll smile while telling you that your dress looks absolutely great and you shouldn't change it at all. He also tends to be a bit insensitive in his speak, not really too crazy about editing or filtering it for a certain person- except of course when he's doing something he knows is important.

Although kind and insightful at some points, Aster's persona takes a hit when dealing with questions or lectures. He's annoyed when told he's done something wrong over and over without any explanation, and he gets annoyed when pestered about royal duties. Oftentimes when asked what it's like to be a prince, he says "Impossibly demanding, with a side of forced responsibility." From there, it's suggested you drop it. Similar annoyed, blunt answers come from questions that strike him personally, unless of course your support with him is high. He also gets additionally annoyed when lectured about things by people he feels have no right to criticize- the only exception here being his parents, for which case irritation is simply because he doesn't like being criticized by his parents. Besides this, however, he's quite cheerful and excitable- in battle he's enthusiastic and focused, and although not the biggest defender his speed and skill attempts to make up for it.

Aster is a total flop at multitasking more than two things at once, and his strategy is good in terms of conquering, but his in-battle tactics mostly rely on his soldiers to make educated, rational decisions as well. Nevertheless, outside of battle he is easily social with people. He has a secret fear of rats, but like hell if he'd tell you. He's alright at drawing, but one of his greatest strengths is writing, where he's able to easily craft a persuasive message, or a treaty for peace, or whatever needs to be written to achieve the goals that he's shooting for. In fact, he has been asked to write a love letter before, and although swiftly denied people say that he did have the writing capacity to pull it off.

Disinterested in royal pursuits, Aster finds himself at odds with his parents some- no, many times. Sometimes, even when they agree in a specific course of action or broad agreement, it’s usually for differential reasons. He cares for his parents’ well-being, and of course he wants to see them be well, but sometimes their ignorance to other methods gets him annoyed, and their indifference to change as well as stubbornness rooted in ideals just makes all of it worse. Due to this Aster has led a generally strained relationship with his parents, who decided to focus on his sisters instead- although they have some sort of bond to speak of it isn't what it used to be. His relationship with his sisters is better, since he feels he can relate and project ideas onto them more. His sisters in turn are much more accepting of his philosophy, although the eldest sister is a bit on his mother side [and prideful as well], but regardless he holds brotherly affection for them just the same.

Aster has a bit of pride in his speed, outrunning many childhood friends in a foot, and even a few new recruits [as well as old members] of Vangaster's military. Albeit jolly, he resents the life of a monarch due to his various "responsibilities" which don't allow him to be with the people that he wants to be with- the commoners. They're interesting to him; they pique his interest, although lately he's been forced to move away from them since he's found that many of them are boring; all worry about muscles, children, or the new supply of fish. The only other problem with them- at least the Vangasterian ones- they don’t exactly respect him as much as previous princes due to his lack of physique. In fact, one of the ways he gains respect from them is from his tendency to seem like a general commoner when out and about. Of course, he's recognized as "Prince Aster," but he tends to be treated as any other person, just as he prefers from his "future subjects." Also slightly lazy when it comes to things he finds tedious or boring, but isn't everyone like that?

Allegiance: Aecilia

History: Aster was the firstborn son of the reigning royal family of Vangaster, that small country on the southern coast that values strength, forging, fishing, and whiskey- only the former and second of which Aster somewhat cares about.

Aster himself isn’t a fan of brute strength, preferring speed as well as skill instead. His general preference for this is just one thing that sets him apart from his parents, the current reigning King and Queen respectively- both of which are more burly and muscular than anything (he in fact swears that his mother may eventually have been able to grow a mustache). This is in contrast to Aster, who just so happens to be lean with the right amount of muscle to wield an axe but not enough to be put into an elite force of the Vangasterian army. Aster was born this way- the third child but the first son, he became the prince as well as the “traditional” heir. After him came no other children- so he was the only son with two older sisters, both of which had long gotten the strength gene before he did. His general attitude towards his “royal duties” is [and was] bored, and even with all the efforts to train him Aster skipped as to do other things- such as what would be flirting with the local ladies [“would be” because many of the women were unattractive] and whatever he finds within reason to do.

As a kid [and still up to date] he resented his royal duties. This was due to him not honing his leadership skills enough to become a true monarch, convinced that his sisters would get married eventually and if something were to happen [purely hypothetical] the other sister would replace the one who was under unfortunate circumstances, leading him to just do what he wanted to. He was pretty sure that his parents weren’t going to risk their lineage putting by him on the throne, as well. Of course, with Belial encroachment he’s particularly worried, but let’s not get to that just yet.

He was taught proactively under a tutor from age four, but quickly after fourteen he found himself bored by instruction [this was around the time that his parents were told “you’re lucky this isn’t Belial, or this kid wouldn’t be able to wield a tome for his life- or rather he wouldn't want to”] due to his general attitude to do other things. He was continuously taught, however, up to sixteen, where lessons in intelligence dwindled to a halt and his father locked him out in the courtyard of their castle and ordered him to train, assuming Aster would hone his strength and would become a “respectable ruler of Vangaster.” So Aster did train- but he didn’t train as his father wanted him to. His father had long said that force was the way to go. Strength was true power- the only way to fight was with pure muscle and “you needed nothing more.”

Aster was much more rebellious and trained his swiftness and his general skill in battle instead- which paired with an axe may not have been a genius idea but it was what he wanted. His father was angry and disapproved, but there wasn’t much he could do. Later on, his father would realize that he could have sent Aster off to chop lumber, but not only was there no point due to an abundance of lumberjacks but he recently has been finding himself in situations of fear, not wanting to send Aster out of the capital due to fears of Aster’s [as well as his own] safety.

Of course, Aster’s father wasn’t exactly always so hard on him- or rather, so disagreeable. When younger, Aster was envisioned as his father’s crown pride and joy; the prince was what he had always wanted, a son. [An infrequent joke that his father often had with his mother was she already had her two, and he wanted his]. But as time came and went it became more and more obvious that Aster had become disinterested in honing his strength, as a result of his father letting him off the hook as a child. From there, their relationship became a more broken one which we see the results of today; a general annoyance and disagreeing with each other, one not wanting to see the other’s point of view and the other already knowing fully well what his father is asking of him. Of course there is still a form of a father-son bond, but when his father brings up royalty Aster tends to look away.

Vangaster now finds itself in a risky situation with Belial coming slowly ever closer. In desperation, it’s sending Aster and an elite squad [as well as goods] to convince Aecilia into defending it and it’s people. The only problem to Aster may be that the reason the king is sending Aster is partially for diplomatic purposes, but he also wants him to “fight like a man.”

It’s a shame brute force was never his strong suit.

Support:
C- Leon

Aecilia’s prince? He's met him more than enough times to say he's worth respecting. Vangasterian royalty had common trips to Aecilia to secure their alliance, as well as of course to trade. Generally the relations were quite "peachy" as his father would say, a nice value for protection and it seemed like Aecilia really wasn't a bad place. As a kid, Aster tended to play with [or at least tried to] Leon, and later on he certainly became a worthwhile person to converse with. In earlier years visits were infrequent but for the last seven years Vangasterian royalty has made trips to meet the Aecilian royalty at least annually, and Aster considers Leon a friend due to the commodity of seeing him during said trips.
Notes: Likes fluffy things.

I'm debating between going for a Tactician (Barring my SU is good enough) or Pegasus Knight. At first, I had thought to go Princess, but I think those slots are soon to be filled and I decided against it. Decision, decisions...

Edit: Also, I'd love to have some familiarity for my character tied with someone else's. I think it would be a neat detail for her to have in the SU. Maybe in the Support category. It doesn't have to be major. Just throwing it out there.

Don't let the number caps get you down, if you get the inspiration to give something a try go for it! Nobody's shown any interest in another prince/princess yet besides Ken, and there will be at least one spot left whether he is accepted or not.
And you're welcome to include Leon in some capacity if you want, his SU will be up soon if you'd like it for context.

On that note I hope to see some interest in Belial soon, I know they certainly look like the instigators in this war guys but it's not just Aecilia good Belial bad, so anyone who's not sure what they want yet take a look at Belial too :D

I left Conrad's support section blank and will probably keep it that way because it really wouldn't make sense for him to know anyone's character unless...

A: Conrad has tried to rob them before, but he usually kills his victims afterwards anyway. Thus, they can't have met like that without either the other character or he himself being dead.

B: They were once a member of Dregas' clan, but that requires that they not only have a criminal past but that they have some reason to be cowardly enough to survive the clan's massacre.

Or C: Conrad met them several years ago in his hometown on Belial's border, which is the least impossible of the situations but is also very limiting. Also he probably wouldn't even remember them.

Anastasia Chamberlain

Name: Anastasia Chamberlain (Ana is her pet name)

Race: Human

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Class: Princess

Appearance:
With a lithe and graceful form, not completely unlike that of a dancer, Ana doesn’t leave much for the sun to cast a shadow with. Small, standing at roughly 5’4”, her height is only counteracted by the big attitude that is carried in her posture. With such small a body, comes surprisingly grandiose spunk; this reflection of her attitude bleeds over into the very way she carries her own body. There is a festive spring in her step and sashay in her stroll. Some might say this is an overcompensation for the presence her body alone fails to command.

From the thinness of her legs, delicate feet and disappointing cleavage, she appears fiver years on average younger than her real age. Her lengthy, curly, crimson hair that drives the girl mad with frizz when humid out, sits as a crown above her resplendent, emerald, almond shaped eyes and an ever faint dusting of freckles across her complexion. Her round, youthful cheeks and innocent, snowy complexion of her skin are but yet another of her attributes that land her more in the ‘cute’, rather than ‘beautiful’ camp according to most men.

Her arms are spindly and while her body is not built for brute force in battle, it embraces a subtle art of speed and finesse. On this slight frame of hers, she adorns herself out of battle with the typical gowns befitting a woman of her station. From fabulous chiffon, to smooth silks, her outfits are coordinated with outmost care. Her most common attire to be seen outside the battle field or training grounds, is that of a simple veiled, ivory gown with an emerald, fitted bodice and her family’s flying Pegasi crest embroidered across the chest.

When training at the rapier or if ever on the field of battle, the dresses become a distant thought and practicality takes front and center. Her armor is light, flexible like her and designed for agility. With segmented, white leather pieces covering her body and a durable, silver tipped scabbard on her right hip, the outfit tends to gleam in bright daylight. On her feet, the uncomfortable and impractical footwear of the royals is replaced by mid-calf, matching boots that can handle the harshest of terrains. With her hair tied up in a practical bun and a small, jewel encrusted tiara clipped to her hair, she looks like the young warrior princess she so desperately tries to sell herself to be.

Inventory:
Rapier x1

Allegiance:
The Belial Empire

Fighting style:
With her dreadful lack of strength in regards to most warriors who would take the field of battle, Ana has been trained in the art of quick strikes and graceful evasion. With a penchant for trickery and deceit, she tries her best to feint away from the target and strike when it’s least expected. She’s not above withdrawing from a battle to live another day. Her moves can be somewhat predictable as she has been taught in the most familiar ways of the blade. Never has she been granted the opportunity to learn valuable improv techniques from her own experience, other than those taught by her instructors. Her major weakness is experience. While technically sound, one might say that her potential is relatively untapped.

Personality:
With the heart of a spitfire and verve of a vixen, Ana was never quite the prim and proper Princess hoped by many to be. Quarrelsome and strongly opinionated on many issues, she doesn’t back down from a mental challenge and only rises to meet her opponent in a verbal sparring match. Her mouth has garnered her more trouble than it was worth in many previous situations and only recently has she begun to tame the wild, rambling beast.

At the behest of her parent’s, she took a quick interest in royal affairs and flourished within them. While her attitude was often misplaced in such a setting, her attention for detail and passion were not. Perhaps younger Ana may have loathed the constraints that came with a royal life, but she grew into the position and came to cherish the responsibility and importance of the station.

While volatile on approach, she harbors a side of her personality that very few are ever permitted to see. With a blatant disregard and distaste for potential suitors, she hated the games and never took to their courting well. In truth, she can be prudish beneath the prickly exterior guise. Her mother serving as her sole confidant, she expresses only her deepest of thoughts to the kind woman who gave her life. From her feelings of constant inadequacies as a daughter and Princess, to the depths of her despair when she lost friends who were never to return; Ana feels more than she ever let’s others know. The distance she gives herself from others is the ultimate protection, more so than any armor she could ever wear.

History:
The youngest of three siblings, there were never any grandiose expectations or value put on Ana’s birthright. With an eldest brother being the likely successor to the throne and a more beautiful middle sister to command the glory of other kingdom’s wide-eyed fellows, Anastasia fell quickly into place in their shadows. Evrend serving as her home and kingdom, she knew nothing more than the confines of its territory and as expected of a royal, lacked nothing.

While not the most seemingly likely candidate, Ana became her mother’s favorite through childhood and the two became close-knit for much of her important developmental stages of life. If not for the mandated swordplay training of her father, the two may have been inseparable. The wit that formed in her mind was often a gift of her mother’s, the King used to remark about the two. The statement was truer than the King had realized. While a suitable leader, the Queen surpassed him mentally and simply placated him with his position.

As Anastasia aged, her mother further demanded that she be properly versed in the workings of the kingdom, even were she not to be a ruler of Evrend in the future. The thought that she might very well be a Queen, but not in her home kingdom, pained her; no matter how true that future was sure to be. As the youngest, her future was most likely that of another's wife. A beneficial exchange of vows that strengthen the bonds between two nations but not those who became irrevocably bound.

With trepidation at first, she dipped her toes in the political waters and quickly found that she not only was able to float in them, but swim with great skill. She was deft in her teenage years at handling the words so needing of eloquence. While her temper blazed frequently, she was often both reprimanded and praised for her boldness and decisions. Physical training began to slip by the wayside and while her mind was sharpened, her blade blunted.

Ana’s relationships with her siblings were often strained to say the least and disengaged at most. While her sister, Erie, was too busy relishing the attention she garnered from suitors, Ana thought her a pitiful fool and as nothing more than a simple bartering chip amongst the the likes of her father and his contemporaries. The woman was cattle in Ana’s eyes, being auctioned off to the highest bidder of a foreign land. As it turned out, prized cattle does find a relatively nice home; Erie was matched with a young Prince many moons away and they quickly married and ventured to his land.

Anastasia’s brother, Garik, while maintaining a better relationship with her than Erie had, still kept his distance and rather viewed her as inconsequential or infantile. Even as she studied and dedicated herself to royal studies as he did, Garik never acknowledged her contributions or valued her opinion. The two simply acknowledged each other’s existence and lived in the same castle.

As the courting process began in proper for herself, Ana begrudgingly appeased her mother and put on a good show of it. Inside, she felt repulsed by the process, often ignoring the vapid princes as they tried ever so carefully to find their way into the relationship they desired with her kingdom. The problem was, she came to realize, Ana desired the possibility to rule for herself, not in some other land, but in her home.

Despite the inherit neutrality found within the realm of Evrend, Ana took note of the rising power that Empress Arya Maven had procured in the past. Her ability to command and take destiny into her own hands was a legend that impressed upon Ana’s young mind. Respect formed for the Empress and her empire of Belial. While perhaps disagreeing with some of the tactics employed, Ana came to view the woman as an inspiration of sorts.

With much subtle convincing of her father, she was able to become an emissary of her nation to the empire of Belial. With just such a position, she awaits the opportunity and secretly guards her support of the empire from those within her own kingdom. This was her chance to seize her future, to turn the quiet land of Evrend into something far more than it ever had been before. Belial and their conquests seemed like the future and she was determined to see her own nation not be left out in the cold.

Other: Ana is left-handed.

Support:
Felix (D): Felix and Anastasia have only met once, specifically during one of Belial’s political galas. Their meeting was far from the basic meet and greet that normally occurred at such events. No, it was a meeting where they discovered that their objectives were beneficial to one another, and that they would be more likely to achieve their goals with cooperation. Still relative strangers, they danced around each other in a dangerous tango, both trying to get what they wanted from the other. Being new allies, there is room for growth and discovery. Each person's knowledge of the other is vague, but their desires share a common trajectory that propels them forward together.

Name: William (now prefers Will)

Race: Human

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Class: (Update whenever your character is promoted)

Appearance: (What does your character look like? Please use at least one full paragraph for body and another for clothing. This section and inventory will likely change at least a few times throughout the RP)

Inventory: (What does your character have on their person? Physical fighters start with iron weapons used by their class, while magic units either start with a Heal staff or one of the basic spell tomes (Flux [Dark], Lightning [Light], Fire/Thunder/Wind [Anima]). If your character has items important to them plot/history-wise feel free to add them here too.)

Allegiance: (Which side do you fight for? You may begin neutral if that's what you want, but if so make sure you have the drive to keep yourself going without guidance for a while, and make your way towards one of the factions to join.)

Personality: (At least 2-3 paragraphs please)

History: (At Least 3 paragraphs, but unless your character is filling a specific role or some history about their parents is relevant don't bother making it too long either, by the beginning of the story none of these characters have done too much.)

Support: (If your character has any sort of relationship with other player characters describe them here, and give them a letter rating, comrades with stronger bonds fight better together. This section's not really required but it gives everyone else some nice reference and may bring rewards later)

@Beacon: Seph and I both thought that your SU is mostly fine. One thing that isn't really addressed, however, is how Ana is associated to Belial. We understand that she is being "shopped" around to various potential suitors, but that doesn't inherently mean anything pertaining to Belial. If you could address that one issue, then I believe your SU would be ready to be accepted. Also, if you have any questions regarding Belial, please message me or Seph. We would be glad to help you.

@Colony, okay, no problem. I'll be sure to tie in that afilliation somehow. Any suggestions in particular? Wouldn't want to make something up accidentally outside the scope of the RP.

Edit: I edited my SU to make her an emissary of sorts to the Empire of Belial. Arya's own rise to power serves as an inspiration to Ana and planted within her a secret desire to bring the two realms under closer ties. I think this fits with the character quite nicely and gives her ties to the empire. Let me know if it works. I've put what I added to the SU below for your convenience. :D

Beacon you're reasoning for Ana aligning with Belial works for us! Unfortunately we can't just let a class with a cap get snatched up first-come-first-served, so we need to wait before we accept any Lords for sure so others have a chance to try. Thus you are reserved for right now. For the record though the SU is good enough to be accepted So you're definitely in the running.

Dr. Ken McMuerte Aster is awesome too! But yadda yadda all that stuff I just said to Beacon reserved.

PS: Geras don't worry about supports, there will be plenty of time for supports to grow during the RP, and besides that they're completely optional to begin with.

@Sephy: I understand completely, thanks for accepting it as a reservation for now. Don't mind me as I go and chase away other potential Lord characters... *whistles innocently*

Edit: I seriously just realized that I had misspelled "throne" in my SU. I really shouldn't have checked for typos so late at night. Oh God... xD

I wouldn't worry about it too much, you never know there's plenty of classes to pick from, you and Ken might not even get any competition. >> I didn't even notice the typo, maybe I shouldn't evaluate SUs so late at night XD

Name: Gerard. Just Gerard.
Race: Human, of course!
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Class: Villager (Intending on going the Hero path, but we'll see.)

Appearance: (What does your character look like? Please use at least one full paragraph for body and another for clothing. This section and inventory will likely change at least a few times throughout the RP)

Inventory:
Iron Sword of Destiny!: A typical iron sword that Gerard bought using every last ounce of gold he saved in the last month or so.

The Lucky Charm!: Gerard keeps a lucky charm with him. It's a typical piece of silver jewelry with an amethyst embedded in the center. He wears it as a good luck charm, but nobody is quite sure if it is truly lucky. Gerard likes to think so.

Fighting style: Gerard's style can be best described as, "Non-Existent." He is the master of improvised combat and is extremely adaptable, despite his lack of formal education. He comes up with his own strategy at the beginning of every battle, usually involving the environment or something to that effect. He can pick out the most obvious strengths and weaknesses of an opponent and exploit them. When faced with an adaptable strategy such as his own, however, he won't be able to compensate as quickly.

Personality:
Gerard, if anything, is a dreamer. His mother raised him on stories of knightly valor and glory, leading him to have an insatiable hunger for it. If there is anything that this hometown-hero wants to be, it's a hero. He looks up to pretty much any band of warriors that passes through his town, almost blindly. Gerard thinks that as long as you are willing to fight for a cause that he views as important, that makes you a 'good guy.' If you stand against his wish, however, you are considered a villain in his eyes. He is willing to do anything to rise to glory and make his mother proud. He wants to come back to his town as a hero after the war is finished. He has pictures of his mother and father cheering for him, along with the rest of the town's meager population.

Despite his high-flying ambitions, Gerard has literally no formal education. His math skills are rudimentary, meaning he can barely count money as is, and he can't read or write, leaving him at a disadvantage with the rest of the world. He is, however, highly adaptable and a fast learner, so if one made an attempt to teach his something they would meet with great success. He has no view of politics, viewing them as 'Dinner for the pigs.' He prefers his simple lifestyle of farming to a life filled with luxury. It would make him feel uncomfortable to feel overly comfortable. His normal speech can be filled with old-timey sayings that he's heard his parents say over the years, or proverbs that originated in his town. He has little, to no, philosophical views other than his views of 'right and wrong,' although he will occasionally say something that is strangely profound for its simplicity.

Gerard is as friendly as anyone can get. He warms up to people rather quickly. He's easy to talk to, and is embarrassed by nothing. Everything is out in the open with him. Everything. His simple lifestyle has lead to a lack of filter, seeing as he talked to the pigs and cows more often than human beings. Gerard has a love of getting dirty and growing things, remnants of his life on the farm. He is eager to learn of society and it's rules, although he knows they will most likely disagree with his farming lifestyle.

History: (At Least 3 paragraphs, but unless your character is filling a specific role or some history about their parents is relevant don't bother making it too long either, by the beginning of the story none of these characters have done too much.)

Support: Pretty much D with everybody, unless someone wants to collaborate
