I've recreated the thread since the other one was getting rather… old. You can refer to it here.

RijonAdventures is a FireRed Hack. Explore the region of Rijon and embark on a quest, 20 years since the events of Pokémon Brown.



Pokémon Brown - original game.
Pokémon Bronze - 5 years since Brown.
RijonAdventures - 15 years since Bronze, 20 years since Brown.



Journal: Player (Lloyd or Anne)
Tomorrow, I turn 10. That's the age my dad went on his Pokémon journey - beating our neighbor and becoming the champion, almost 20 years from now. I hope I reach that journey someday, touring the dangerous and adventurous region of Rijon…

Version - November 2006 Alpha Refresh (Alpha).
Format - IPS Patch File.
Requirements - A Pokémon FireRed (U) ROM, VisualBoyAdvance 1.6 or later for patching (normal patching tends not to work).

This is the latest alpha! It goes up to Moraga Town, but enjoy the changes made if you've already played the previous alpha - there's a lot of changes made!



To report bugs, or any other oddities, quote the beta number along with the odd thing.

Did Coolboyman start hacking this game & you took over from him? because the previous thread was started by him.

He hacked "Rijon Adventures" first. I took over when he quit, but he's back now, so he generally advises me on what to do when I'm stuck and all. It's useful!

When I took it over, I renamed it RijonAdventures. =o

I think I beat it. I missed the text, but there is a guy blocking my way. All he gave me is a versus seeker. I was turboing the game so all I read him say is the word hack.

Yes, ways out of the city other than the West should be blocked off.

I just got one thing to say, your hack is super sweet ^.~, but please please tell me that your working on it as often as possible ? I dont like to play it in parts.

I work on it when I can, and since my schooling is over for at least 6 weeks, I'll have the opportunity to work on it a lot more than I used to.

In Moraga town, the path east is blocked by a guy who just gives me a versus seeker. Does that mean I beat everything so far?

Well, have you gotten the badge in MORAGA TOWN? After that, you can either go home and defeat Sheral (which will be quite hard), or go to JAERU CITY (which is blocked off my the guy which just so happens to be me). ;D

Nope, you can't get rid of him. He's there to stop you from going further (besides, there's nothing there anyway).

Man, Sheral is hard. I didn't even know how do find her in Brown, so she was the last gym leader I beat. I found her and beat the game yesterday,

Gawd I haven't called you Mr. Winstrate in quite a while.

Edit: I believe I must retry the BETA, because in Merson Cave after the Pokemon Center, I am blocked by water which I'll want to surf over. That's not possible. Is the BETA made upto there, or is there some other way for me to go into the next town?

… There's two exits in the area the Pokémon Center is located in. Look at the top left corner of that area. O_o;

Meh... I didn't notice that. Man I feel stupid now. Thanks Mr. Winstrate. If I remember right, this Pokemon Center inside the cave did not exist 20 years ago did it?

I found that exit while walking randomly in turbo.

Nope, Coolboyman accidentally put it there in the original Rijon Adventures and then pointed it out, and when map editing and copying maps over, I decided to retain it. XD

Jake, this game is so AWESOME. Looks like you have done heaps of progress lately with the game since last time I heard about the progress for the game. Hell, this game still going to kick butt seriously.

That's why... XD Well, it saved my Charmander from fainting. Hate evil Zubats. Meh... how much of the game does this beta cover, as in what percent?


Bug/Error/Random overlooked text block: One of the Bug Catchers in Merson cave say "You need to get through this cave to get to Cerulean". XD
