Why not? That will only slow down the current average of 1 update per infinitum for XSE.

Hey HackMew these tools are awsome for my hack game "Pokemon - Golden Island version" but when i try to use the "Overworld editor" it says that it has an error finding INI settings.

If you know why, please tell me.

Did you delete the ini folder or the ini itself?

i have searched all over the place and still have not found anything that has to do with XSE trainer battle scripts.

how do you make one?

I have seen them for the pokescript program... but nothing for the XSE program... : /

The "trainerbattle" command has not changed much (although, unlike pokescript, you should never have to use nop at all) so you should just try a normal pokescript tutorial's "trainerbattle" command, but around an XSE-style script. Most of the time it should work (except with 0x3, the Elite Four's trainerbattle code. This is defined in Pokescript with too many arguments)

um... ok...

and i just tried that... are you sure it works in Emerald Version? That is the ROM that i am using right now... (got to love that story- line!)

Good news!
-HackMew- Has returned from his vacation. He will resume the work on XSE now.

The reason, updates are so long:

-HackMew- doesn't release an update as soon as 1 bug is fixed, he thinks...then implements, then sends it to testers, like me, and we report. Some bugs, they are damn hard to fix, and some features, need hell of testing. But it's all worth it.

So good luck being patient

Ah, great! I've got some new ideas to tell him too. So, I guess we'll just have to sit and wait for new XSE updates.

The Comprehensive Scripting Guide (yes, that isw the official name) is still being worked on. I can tell, I am helping ZodiacDaGreat when I have some spare time. Andrea occassionally shows up on WLM, but his presence is more or less a surprise to each of us as he now attends university and therefore he has a bit less time he would like to have, I suppose. Or he just prefers real life s would do anyone who isn't completely crazy

And that guide will be really worth of all that time, don't worry.

Just check he's site - a copy is always there. The link is in his signature.

And for people who already have XSE remember to run an Live Update check once in a while cause you never know, when the next update is released...

I need a tutorial explaining the characters' moves. I mean, when you step a tile before going to route 1 on a Fire Red's script and Prof Oak follow you until he reaches you.

We're currently doing our very best to get a bit more of the guide released for the next XSE update so please bear with us and be a bit more patient. I think you can find one in the mean time at the documents section.

For those wondering about XSE not being there... well, not anymore.
Sorry for any possible inconveniences.

Still on XSE, I've been working a bit on it, already getting important improvements in terms of speed, stability and usabilty. More details soon.

Well, thanks for telling me but it's kinda weird. Let's explain a bit more...
Naming a #define is a crucial thing since problems may arise easy and quickly. I'll give you a short example:

#define B_TRUE 0x1
Now, let's suppose it was defines as:

#define TRUE 0x1
The second option is the most logical, indeed. Due how the #defines are handled, though, the second one is much more problematic.

Code:
#org 0x80000A
= No, that's not true any more.
Each TRUE (or True or true etc.) would be replaced by 0x1. Now you can sure image what would happen on that little message...

While the new XSE version I'm working at I introduced a big speed improvements regarding the define handling, among other things, define names can be still be problematic from this point of view.

Before I told you the whole thing was kinda weird. Well, I guess you're using an old version or something because the yesnobox has 2 params indeed.
You shouldn't be able to compile it that way.

And that's all, I guess. I hope I was exhaustive enough.
