View Full Version : Windows 7 Release Candidate Available For Download

July 22nd, 2009, 3:42 PM
Well, Microsoft finally unveiled to the public possibly their next big thing or their next big flop.

You can go to microsoft.com and download the Release Candidate until August 20, 2009 and have it on your computer until June 2010.

Apparently it still isn't complete, but it's a good way for us, the people, to get a first look on their next OS.

Hopefully, this won't turn out like Vista and actually put Microsoft back on the map. Since mostly these days, the top OS is Mac (even though I have Vista Premium and HATE Mac, I admit it.)

Here's the link, it's absolutely free and legal, just sign in with your Msn/hotmail/windows live ID.

The RC has been available since May 5. I believe you're referring to the RTM which came out today. And no, that's not available for download unless you're a TechNet subscriber. Scroll down to Beta Testers and Enthusiasts on this page (http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windows7/archive/2009/07/21/when-will-you-get-windows-7-rtm.aspx) for more information.

Yes, it has been out for a while, and be that as it may that you can continue to use the RC until March/June 2010 At this point in time unless you really need windows and are strapped for cash to buy it I suggest many prople just wait until the October 22nd release for it.
(also I had made a thread shortly after the RC was released, you can view it here (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=177836), though don't post there as it has already 'died')
