View Full Version : What's your favorite Nintendo Game

May 23rd, 2010, 2:31 PM
Mario, Zelda, or Pokémon?

To be honest, Mario is a classic game, which I find a little hard and boring now. Zelda, I never played, and sounds interesting. Pokémon, I'm used to, and my ROM keeps crashing.

To be fair, I have to choose Pokémon, because I never played Zelda, it might suck, it might not.

Pokemon Emerald!

My favourite Nintendo non-pokemon game would have to be Smash Brothers' Brawl. King Dedede FTW! Who wouldn't want to be a giant penguin?

May 23rd, 2010, 2:53 PM
Super Metroid. :D

Other notable mentions go to Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Fire Emblem, Twilight Princess, most Pokemon games, and the Smash Bros. games

May 23rd, 2010, 5:44 PM
Omg, Pokemon. Even though Mario is the most iconic, Pokemon is the best.

May 23rd, 2010, 5:51 PM
Wow I have many:
Pokemon HeartGold
Super smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Kart

They all rules, and are just so fun to me.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Sorry, I'm going to be cliche for a moment. Whether you played this game in 1998 or you play it in 2015, it's a masterpiece. Graphics, music, gameplay, plot, every aspect kept me on my toes. I couldn't wait to get home just so I could play this game, and that was only this year. I've had the game for years, I just never bothered to get past a certain point. I just kept restarting. I didn't realize how amazing this game was until I actually progressed and tried more. Amazing game. Nothing will ever beat it, at least not in my time.

Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite one.

Although that might change today because my daddy is buying me Super Mario Galaxy 2 when I get home from school and I have heard it is even better.

May 24th, 2010, 2:06 AM
hmm well when I look at my top three favorite games of all time
Final Fantasy VI
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

It would have to be Link to the Past, making a Zelda game my favorite Nintendo game.

Though I do love me some Mario games, though this was a Sqaure Enix (at the time though it was just Square Soft) project, Super Mario RPG: legend of the Seven Stars is my favorite Mario game(also my 4th fav game of all time :P), with Super Mario Bros. 3 following close behind

And of course ifs apparent I like Pokemon games as well, wouldn't be much other reason for me to be here now would there? :P back in the day the Metal gen had me locked in good and hard. but with current times, Soulsilver Probably has my favorite title right now for pokemon games. I do enjoy most pokemon games though. Played every gen of the main series of games along with there third installments. I really enjoy and find the Explorations games addicting, Gale of Darkness on the Gamecube was awesome and I'd love to see more games like it come out and the Pokemon Stadium games with there mini games bring back great memories

I guess I don't really need to touch base about Zelda games, what with two of them making it into my top 3 fav games lol But I can't help but say Midna is awesome :3

Mario, only because Alphadream's Mario & Luigi series is amazing. The first one especially.

May 24th, 2010, 6:36 AM
Super Smash Bros: Melee and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I find most Mario games somewhat okay. Not my type of thing.

May 24th, 2010, 11:01 AM
OP hasn't played Zelda? You haven't lived!

I'm a big Mario fan and always will be, Mario 64 is my favorite of all-time.

super mario bros 3
cause it was the first game i ever beat and it will remain my favorite

May 25th, 2010, 10:39 AM
Super Mario world. This was imo the last great Mario game, everything since has being unappealing or a bad rehash. Not counting SMB3 SNES remake, that one was ok.

Zeldawise it has to be the Wind Waker, followed by aLttP and MM. OoT just never felt anything special, the characters were bland and I got bored quickly. Wind Waker on the other hand was a beautiful and fresh game.

Pokemon, well, they are all the same game with a few different bells and whistles.

The best Nintendo games imo are the Fire Emblem, Advance Wars and DK country games

Super Mario Bros. for the NES; hands down.

May 26th, 2010, 1:54 AM
Donkey kong country is really nice, one of the more unique ones that I own.
I kinda lost interest in Nintendo feeling like it was just rerun after rerun so i would probably say Zelda b/c it has a good storyline and a lot of gaming..

May 26th, 2010, 2:20 AM
Super Mario World, IMO. I never get tired of playing Mario even though I never reach the final stage. >.<

Pokemon R/B/Y/G/S/C/FR/LG/E would get the second place. =3

May 26th, 2010, 2:29 AM
Smash Bros Brawl (I only play as King Dedede, Meta Knight, or Zero Suit Samus)
Super Metroid

Umm, oh jeez. I cant think of any more.

Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES. One game that can truly be called epic.

Pokemon games are fun and engaging, but not on the level of SMB3.

I have no experience with Zelda games, so no comment there.

May 26th, 2010, 12:46 PM
Pokemon Yellow was my first Pokemon game and my favourite one, but I recently finished Metroid Prime and it is a master piece.

Currently I'm totally in Metroid but Pokemon and Metroid have a tie in my opinion. It's a good mix: RPG and action adventure.

May 28th, 2010, 2:28 PM
Close race, but Pokemon gets my vote. It brings back so many good memories from the past (:

May 29th, 2010, 6:57 AM
Pokemon, Animal Crossing :3, Nintendogs, Style Boutique and many more..

May 30th, 2010, 8:11 AM
Despite my love for Mario & Pokemon, I've gotta go with Legend of Zelda.
Although, overall Nintendo, I've gotta say Smash Bros.

Captain Hobo.
May 30th, 2010, 9:07 AM
I like Mario Kart Wii the best. It is fun to me.

May 30th, 2010, 9:30 AM
I love all of them, I really can't pick. ):

May 30th, 2010, 2:10 PM
Mario Kart Wii! It's so fun and addictive. I play it atleast once everyday. =3

May 30th, 2010, 2:16 PM
Pokemon Silver was my first pokemon game, so now its SoulSilver. I've played a few Mario and Zelda games now and then, but Pokemon is the best for me.

May 31st, 2010, 2:01 AM
Pokemon SoulSilver & Super Mario DS!!! I still play them until now!!!

May 31st, 2010, 4:18 AM

The 3 Nintendo games that will forever be a part of my life and the 3 Nintendo games that had the most impact when first playing.

- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Pokémon: Red Version
- Super Mario 64 (Not the DS version)

Do I really need to say much more? I'm sure that most of you have played these games, if you have you'll know what I'm talking about. Just brilliant :)

May 31st, 2010, 2:55 PM
-Super Smash Bros. Melee(GC)
-Pokemon Crystal
-Anything involving the name Zelda

May 31st, 2010, 3:29 PM
Out of those three Nintendo series, I'd go with either-

Majora's Mask; I love the story, the setting, and how everyone in the game seems to be a clone of someone from Ocarina of Time xD

Windwaker; The game seems to refreshing. I loved the cell-shading aswell. I usually replay it every summer, and it still keeps me entertained (I also love all the side quests and stuff to do in it)

...I love Mario & Pokemon games, it's just that I like the Zelda series more (Although I don't care too much for Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks...GO BACK TO THE ORACLE SERIES!!!)

Pokémon, for me. I am completely rubbish at platformers, so that rules Mario out, and I never really "got" the Zelda games. Plus Pokémon Blue was the first game I ever got for the GameBoy, back in 1998. It has nostalgia bells for me :')

June 5th, 2010, 5:17 PM
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door with its predecessor, Paper Mario, at a close second.
