December 16th. It was a morning so cold, it felt as though if one were to hit the Earth with an ice pick, it would break into nice clean chucks.

This movie (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya) is based on the fourth novel of the Suzumiya Haruhi series by Tanigawa Nagaru, and is chronically the latest installment in the anime adaptation. It is centered around the development of certain characters.

Discussion and stuff go here, yeah?

there's a mistranslation in the mazui subs at 1:28:18

koizumi should have said something along the lines of "i'm envious", not "she loves you".

there are a few others; if anyone cares enough, i can upload my customized .ass file for them

also, the directing and animation in this film are awesome, and there's so much detail (the background characters have their own subplots). I guess kadokawa and kyoani and the guys really went all out this time.

For the fact that Kyoani went all out, think that correlates to the lacklustre and never-to-be-named-again Endle-- (snap)

I agree, the movie is epic. It doesn't clear up the vague points the book had, so I hope they address them in say, another season. The music's beautiful, too. It's really awesome that they went all out on the movie too - the animation is exceptional and we get all this in two hours and thirty minutes to boot.

...I really want to read this, but I haven't seen it yet, and I've avoided almost all spoilers, so...

The film was a joy to watch, even the cleaned-camrip version Mazui released months ago. There wasn't a moment of boredom. I'm going to have to wait for a direct download place somewhere for the 720p version to pop up somewhere so I can see it in HD, though.
