Hello Everyone, after many many years the world of Pokemon has called me back. I am originally a 1st generation Pokemon expert, I know very little about the Pokemon after the original 150 but after a recent encounter with the series my interest in them has risen again, so here I am. I hope to get to know you the community better and further my knowledge on the couple hundred or so new Pokemon that have been discovered since my absence.

Well, yeah, its true that after being very familiar with a region with pokemon from there, and there's a new one coming, its a little tough to keep up and familiarize yourself with the pokemon there. Like, Marril; I saw it in the pokemon Kanto T.V series, but I couldn't find it in the R/B/Y games, until the next set pokemon came out for Johto; Marril was actually a pokemon from the Johto region. I would say though, after playing the recent games a bit, you'll familiarize yourself with the recent pokemon more; and keep up to date on what's going on in the pokemon world. Worked for me in the last games! Now, PokeCommunity actually has boards that contains the different pokemon games in the series! Well, I'll show you the links:

Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, as well as Gold, Silver, and Crystal; the board for that is the Metal and Color Generation games board, and its right here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36 You can also check out the HeartGold and SoulSilver board, which is here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=189

The one for Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games, as well as FireRed and Leafgreen is called the Advance Generation games board, and its right here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=164

The board for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum is here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=136

Annnnd finally, the board for the coming soon Black and White is here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=200

There is lots of discussions there which you can read and part-take in each board, which can help ya in the long run. <3 Right now, I myself am STILL trying to get used to the Pokemon from the Unova region, which is from Pokemon Black and White. [I've got some favorites so far. :3] But for everyone, your not just restricted to the pokemon boards; you know there's Non-Pokemon boards right? You can also check out the Art board, the Other Voting Polls board, the Culture and Media Board, and so on. In the long run, I hope you'll enjoy yourself looking up whatever your heart is interested in. <3 [and don't forget the rules!]

So, welcome, take care, and have a grand time. <3

Hey there! Welcome to PC! So I see you're a 1st Gen expert, eh? You have a lot to learn since we're already on the 5th Generation xD. Well, not to worry, though. There are others (like myself) who still cherish the 1st generation, because we grew up with those Pokemon. I suggest you take a peek at those boards Miss Doronjo linked for you. You'll save time in here rather than having to watch the beginning of the Johto anime. ;)

So, anyways, make sure you take a quick peek at the rules, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! See ya around!
