This piece was originally written for an assignment for my creative writing class. The prompt: write a poem about something you love. It may sound a little shallow to write about something tangible like a pair of goldfish, but even now, it's something that brings a little smile to my face. Not to mention it really does reveal my philosophy about love itself.

Plip, Plip, Love

Plip, plip
Flick of a fanned tail
Round mouth to the surface
Beg, beg
Hungry, hungry
Round body, flickering scales
Descend, descend
Peck, peck
Luck, luck
Mouth full of temporary satisfaction
Ironically dry
Rise, rise
Wide, black eyes
Beg, beg
Spit, spit
Food, food!
Attention, attention!
Brown and white
Fin, fin
Twitch, twitch
Gimme! Gimme!
Spit, spit
Flake, flake

*smiles softly* Not exactly my personal views on love, but hey, whatever floats your boat!! It was a nice poem, by-the-by (that's what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing in here, right?)

And don't worry about writing about something tangible. I love my fish, too! I don't have goldfish anymore, but I have a 20 gallon aquarium with mostly platties. There's a couple of Tetras, too... And there used to be a frog... But I don't know where he is anymore...

Thank you for the compliment. ^_^

Fish love. Awesome. Even if they're not goldfish. =D (I've got a twenty-gallon tank too. My fish must be spoiled. XD)
