Trevor Bayne came out of the Daytona 500 victorious. In only his second ever start (1st was Texas in 2010), he held off Carl Edwards and David Gilliland. Bayne becomes the youngest winner of the Daytona 500 ever at 20 years, 1 day. He turned 20 just yesterday. His win broke Jeff Gordon's record of 26 years of age in 1997.
Not a bad late birthday present, winning one of the most prestigious races in racing.
It was also the Wood Brothers first win in over 10 years and this win marks their 7th decade with a win, an impressive accomplishment by one of the most historic teams in NASCAR history.
Congrats to Trevor on winning the 53rd Daytona 500.
