Got my semester courses set! :D

Posted January 14th, 2009 at 1:22 AM by BeachBoy

As some of you know, I'm transferring out of virtual (online) school and back into public school. Well here are the classes of my semester, as she calculated the credits, unfortunately, I will not merge into my regular class of being a Junior, I'll be a semester 2 sophomore, only with some changes. However, it's a very real possibility with the credit boost from summer classes that I can propel past this step back. And it's not like I mind, either. I just want to be back into the traditional system. The "alternate" method of online learning was great, but pace restrictions were too slow and so much so I fell behind.

1st period: Law Studies
2nd period: Computer Skills
3rd period: Physical Fitness
4th period: English 10
5th period: Weight Lifting (lawl, right after lunch, can't wait to see all the people who can't hold their meals)
6th period: Physical Science
7th period: American History (in school computer room on FLVS)

Although the year has started off with both disappointing and fantastic results thus far... This schedule looks to push towards a promising '09, and can't wait to dive into Law Studies. (I've already got some business courses under my belt, this only adds to the backbone of my electives) And Physical Fitness + Weight Lifting should easily get me back into the good ol' sport maniac Beachy.

I know some of you may be scratching your heads on the whole situation involving "17 and a sophomore?" ... but don't worry about me. I've just had a lot of harsher circumstances earlier in my life. In first grade, North Carolina schools labeled me as a student that couldn't learn. Because they couldn't be more wrong (it was their terrible system, not me, I proved that with honors numerous years after those dark times) I moved and had to re-do 1st grade in order to get off on the right foot. So that's one year behind already. Then virtual school (which turned out to be as slow as a snail) lingered for far too long and I was stuck in some sophomore classes that flushed over into my Junior year, so using this other semester to "flush out" the rest. (even though it'll be my third Science course in two years)

So that's that, you probably didn't read this, but thanks anyway. Ya'know, it may look odd or busy, but I really think my life is turning onto the right track. I'm getting what I want (bar wanting marine biology over physical, but baww D:) and I'm glad I can at least be in this situation. Avoiding and moving on from the stressful year of 08.

    W-weight lifting? ._.;; That's a class I've never heard before!

:3 When your life gets a bit busier, but you're doing something productive, it's really good.~ I hope you come to like your new school.

Was there any reason you were on an online school in the first place?

I didn't like the first (another) school I was placed in, and I wanted to try something different.

Thanks, by the way. I hope I like it too. =D

XD Wow, all those names XD Why are they suddenly given to you when you get to 9th grade? Also, our last one is Year 11 when you're 16. Then you can leave school or go to college (in September after exams, of course XD)

Being sophomore at 17 means you can beat all of them up. 8D But dang, you're older than me, and I'm a class ahead. Take some AP/IB classes to catch up, big boy.

Hmm, are you interested in Law/Computers? Awesome.

Weight Training and Physical Fitness sound like the same thing.. You're gonna be so pumped. XD

I haven't heard of Physical Science..?

I can help you in English and History. : D

Good luck with the homework load. ;P
