Melty Mermaid Princess

Today I finally got down to San Francisco's Japan Town and the nearby American branch (the only one!) of a lolita fashion store called Baby, The Stars Shine Bright. It was wonderful. The two girls working there were totally nice and helpful with everything, and giving me plenty of nice advice on how to coordinate anything I was looking to buy.
As much as I'd love to have taken half the store home with me I only bought one thing while I was there because DAMN it's expensive.
I got a jumper skirt (called Melty Mermaid Princess lol) after trying a few things on. And, oh, look, here's a link so you can see what it looks like (since I don't have any pictures yet). I got the purple one since the girls there convinced me that purple was a color you don't see from them very often. And, ya know, it was the only color they had.
The detail on it is amazing and it's super comfortable. Even with the cheap blouse I have it looks wonderful. I wish it didn't have to cost me over $300 for it, but, well, you get what you pay for.
Now that I've got some high end lolita clothing I feel, I dunno, different, like special or something lol. I can totally see myself spending more money at this store, which is great and bad. Great for my wardrobe, bad for my savings. xD

Once in a lifetime would be best for the cost, yeah. But you know how it is when you're in a store and you see something you really like and you have to have it.Posted October 23rd, 2011 at 6:06 PM by Esper
