2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

I GOT LAID OFF!! ><

Well, I REALLY HATE 2009 already!! This past weekend, me and about 50 other people got laid off at my former job. Well, here's the whole story.
I got a call early Friday morning saying I needed to come in at 1 P.M. I knew something was up then. So I arrived and I looked in the cafeteria and I see just aboiut everybody who works there inside the place!! I knew something bad was going down.
So, I got there and sure enough, the higher ups said that their predictions for business to pick up were not coming true. No ****. With the economy the way it is now?
So, the higher ups told us that there will be some shift reassignments but the rest of us were being let go. So, they told us to get into lines based on the first letter of our last names and we were given packets. When we got them, we were ordered to leave because the place was closing down for a few days. My last name started with "A", so I was in the line that was closest to the door.
I got my packet and quickly left the property and I took a look at what was in it. Lo and behold, look who's one of the over 50 people that got laid off? Me. However, I did get my pay for the week, plus all my vacation pay, so there's some money to tide me over for a while.
And now because of this crap, I have to go find another job! BUT WHERE?!!! Nobody's hiring! So, looks like I'll have to get Unemployment for now. At least those jerks signed me up for an appointment at the unemployment place in my town.
And here's the real kicker. The lay offs made the front page of my town's newspaper!! I didn't know about it until my friend called me about that.
So, it was not a good weekend for me. I hate 2009 already!
*stabs 2009 in the eye with a really hot french fry!*

*hugs* Yeah you told me about it on MSN. It wasn't fair at all. I couldn't believe it. Still shocked that you guys made in the front page of your paper. And what a great time too, right before you got ready for Anime Boston. D: Hopefully you will get something in Unemployment. Man, they need to start hiring! Greedy people! >:O
Thanks a lot Bush. This is all your fault! No one will forgive you for this! Ever!
Where can you find a job that has great pay? There isn't any because people are greedy. If you do find a job, you probably have to start back at bottom again. But it is better than nothing. *shrugs*
Something will turn up I am sure. But I am sorry this happened to you. Again it isn't fair, but that is life.Posted February 3rd, 2009 at 8:35 PM by Lucy Lu

Yeah try that. Hopefully they won't make you do anything. That would too much work. Oh yeah...I forgot about the banks, lenders, Wall Street, and the automobile industry. They are to blame as well. Getting bailout after bailout. Quite frankly I wish they went under. I wish the government didn't help them. But I guess they need it more than the middle working class...Posted February 4th, 2009 at 2:08 PM by Lucy Lu
